Emerald Reign

Oh my gosh this is lovely! When I got out of the shower and sprayed this on to test it, it was love at first sniff! I've tried from the same house Benevolence and Cherry Garden, but I didn't have the same reaction to it as this one! The bottle is absolutely fascinating, and the spices, combined with a warm ambergrisse (not listed but I get it as a top note). This really reminds me of the vintage Cartiers, and Ambre Nue from Atelier Cologne but with more of a 'WOW' effect. It's slightly sweet, but in no way synthetic. I'd say it's probably the same elegant, but sensual (almost sexual) vibe as Shalimar has. The sillage is really good, I can get it easily out of armlength and still noticable after 5 hours. The only downsize it that it is so expensive, but I will get a full bottle of this juice someday!

Emerald Reign is all velvety spices, rich amber and milky sandalwood seduction. Groundbreaking? No. But I do love wearing it, especially for that long-lasting true Mysore sandalwood blended with heavenly spices. A couple of sprays and I'm enveloped in the most gorgeous cloud of creamy cardamom, nutmeg and coriander on a fluffy benzoin-amber blanket... or rather, a plush angora throw. That divine Mysore sandalwood is so well-blended that it sort of sneaks up on you... Lasts over 24 hours on my skin, and forever on clothing! Note: Emerald Reign shares some similarities with Ambre Sultan, but it's smoother and a touch more woody. AS is more complex and sharp with its pungent oregano and other herbal aromatics.

had samples of all the perfumes from this house. The bottles are stunning and beautiful quality. this one was interesting. initial spice blast that made me think of Christmas, then settles to soft creamy spice after 2 hours. it is a truly unisex fragrance spicing reminded me of an androgynous coco chanel. one of those perfumes you keep wanting to go back to; however the price tag is off putting.

I just purchased this and couldn't be happier - blind buy, and spot on. The bottle is beautiful, but the scent, even better. Fruits and spices are present (but well balanced, i.e., not overly spicy), and a nice sandalwood as the base. I just love it. Smells exotic, but not extreme in any way. Very elegant, and long-lasting.

Now we are making a statement with Emerald Reign. My goodness, after an hour this scent is still going strong Brazen Indonesian spices and oils. This scent can stand up with the best.I will have to add this scent to my niche collection.

I LOVE this fragrance on me even though I'm a dude. This gets quite the attention from the ladies who seem to enjoy smelling it on me as much as I do. Must sample!

I have had this perfume for 2 years now and it grew on me. I can say that this perfume reminds me of the current perfume that I have currently in my possession called "Raghba" by Lattafa and Raghba is the dupe of Xerjoff Casamorati 1888 Bouquet Ideale Eau De Parfum Spray. I don't own Bouquet Ideale by Zerjoff, but I do own Emerald Reign & Raghba and they both smell similar. The difference is that Emerald Reign comes off MORE spicy than Raghba. Raghba comes off as sugary, caramelized, slightly spice perfume that I do adore. I don't think Emerald Reign is a bad perfume......it's just too mature and it takes a very special person to appreciate the type of elegant, strong, vintage, and richness it carries. I feel that you should really get a sample of it first before purchasing it.......unless you're like me, I honestly purchase it for the bottle and it was cheap. I do understand why "Emerald Reign" is the least of the cupcakes to be bought. Its due to the vintage spicy smell and it's the least famous of All the House of Sillage cupcakes. Hence the reason why it sold cheaper than the rest of the famous cupcakes perfume like,Sweet Atelier: Sweet Dreams,Benevolence,Cream Chiffon, Whispers of Truth, Passion de l’Amour,Whispers of Seduction, Minnie Mouse The Fragrance, Mickey Mouse The Fragrance, etc, etc, etc.Sometimes you'll find that when you purchase one of the famous House of Sillage cupcake perfumes, they will throw in Emerald Reign in your cart for free. My guess is that, House of Sillage is trying to get rid of Emerald Reign before it goes bad in the warehouse.

When I was in Seattle for my birthday two years ago, I stopped in at Parfumerie Nazreen which carries this line. They are so beautiful, the jeweled cupcakes, but to be honest, such things don't impress me much and I paid them little heed, figuring they'd be priced inappropriately for cuteness sake. It turns out I was correct. But, the owner there felt inclined to gift me since it was my birthday and so I came home with a full, boxed sample set gratis. Kudos to Nazreen for her gracious gift-giving heart! I'm wearing this fragrance today and I admit it is lovely, but it is a lovely COPY. The opening is Serge Luten's Ambre Sultan with the dry-down being MPEG Ambre Precieux. Is that good? Why yes, it is, but it's not original and it's not worth the asking price. As to performance, it's relatively brief in the phases listed above, only about 30 minutes for the first and the rest is the second so far, and losing steam every second. I'd also say that it's sillage is rather light. It's been an hour and a half. It is enchanting to look at but I'm less enchanted with it's performance and lack of originality, not to mention the additional negative of being ostentatious as to price and presentation.

I'm not picking up any fruits ... just the Benzoin and the coriander. It does smell very high quality but it also smells very light ... I'll try this fragrance again at a later date. Right now, I'm simply not moved by it. EDITED 08/03/18 - It’s not LIGHT at all. It’s actually a subtle scent but heavy for sure... It has a cocoa butter texture scent on my skin. I’m digging this a lil more than I was in my first impression.

I love the bottle, You can get it by emailing them on there site. I will say this one is very fruity spicy and warm and deffinatly a winter time scent. It is more of a nighttime scent but can pass as a day time. Love love love. The bottles even better in person. It also ocassionally pops up on ebay surprisingly cheaper. and I've seen it once on amazon.

What I thought was just an Ambre Sultan smell-alike turned out a lot more "almondy" in comparison—This is the powderiness people mentioned, but not iris or vanilla to me. It's a bit more wearable than Ambre Sultan (in the beginning) but the drydown pales in comparison 😔

this is unique. has very herby spiciness, get a bit of fennel seeds in the top notes along with cardamom, and get a bit of the benzoin vanilla like amber too. This is more unisex than all the others along the line. After 15 minutes, its mainly amber, balsamic, and powdery and the sweetness from vanilla is still there. This one is my least favourite from the discovery set, giving it a 7.5/10 mainly because its a bit more masculine.

The primary notes that I pick up on are the nutmeg & sandalwood. The fruity note is right at the opening, lasting only minutes. This would be my style of candle, but not my style of perfume... More attractive scent on a male in my opinion.

I can imagine people liking this fragrance, it smells expensive and it has some good qualities. Nevertheless I don’t like it. To me it smells like a woman in her fifties who finally stands up for herself, after a divorce or something (maybe that is the masculine vibe other people describe). She is sweet but also loud and overly present. I also had another sample from the same house which I didn’t like either (Passion de l’Amour). I was already in doubt whether I liked the cupcake style or not, but the branding intrigued me (also because of the price, suggesting it must be something special). Now I have made up my mind: I will pass on the House of Sillage.

This house makes typical bland boring mainstream perfumes with cheap ingredients in very fancy bottles that silly ppl fall for . And when the perfume is gone you’re left with a useless bottle to add to your collection of useless empty perfume bottles . Welcome to hoarder world. I won’t be part of it.. I don’t mind paying for quality perfume with quality ingredients but this crap by this hack house. Never . Yes I have sampled them all. They’re all crap. Nice bottles tho. If that’s what you’re after.

I occasionally like a spicy aromatic scent (Armani Si). But then I grow to realize they just don't jive with my personality and I've stopped trying them. But I ended up trying this and the spices are just too overwhelming. Like I mentioned, I don't mind a spicy scent like "armani Si" because it smells feminine and rich. This however is too much spice and leans more masculine. Definitely a unisex fragrance. Smells like when I was walking through a spice market in Turkey.

I am afraid to say this but this perfume reminds me of Emeraude by Coty in the top notes mostly but a bit even in the dry down. I guess it is the combination of fruity, benzoin and sandalwood notes. I know that isn't all that much to have in common but the smell is the same to me especially in the beginning. I felt like it had to be on purpose especially with the name similarity. I was about 11 years old when I first smelled Emeraude and I loved it then. Now it just isn't right for me but I still like it. This I could wear now but I am not sure I love the dry down enough to justify buying a bottle. As for the packaging, I like the tiger and I like the cup cake but I don't like a tiger on a cup cake. It doesn't make sense to me. If I were to ever get a bottle I would probably get the plainer one for cost savings and for aesthetic reasons both. I am going through a sampler box of House of Sillage most popular fragrances and this is only the second I have tried and I already prefer the first Tiara. So I doubt this would be the one I choose anyway, but I do like the opening top notes quite a bit.

I have a brand new, never sprayed cupcake of Emerald Reign available for swap. My want list is a bit deceiving because I do already own some of them so send me a message to see what we can do. I don't think that this fragrance is horrible. It's just not my style! As much as I am trying to figure what this reminds me of, I just can't put my finger on it. I do know that the top notes remind me of more vintage perfumes but with a more modern twist. The top note spices are very strong and last a long time on your skin, however you can definitely feel the beautiful House of Sillage DNA that is characteristic of these fragrances. As always, it does last a long time on your skin. I got around 8-10 hours. The spices do start fading after a while but they do prevail. I don't think this perfume is disgusting because even though I didn't feel that it was for me I have smelled similar scents on other people and they don't bother me at all. If you like spicy, vintage perfumes you should give this one a chance.

This is an OK "amber" Powdery and spicy, base is somewhat creamy from the sandalwood but not enough for more. A bit too sharp/screechy on the powder for me, could have used a smoother touch. Sad because cardamom, benzoin, and sandalwood are some of my most favorite notes!! I'm having major issues with bottles that I ordered on discount and mind you still spent over $300...I'm shocked that for this price point the quality of the bottle isn't better. Now that I'm paying attention I'm seeing them deeply discount they have 40, 50, 60% off fragrances frequently, in my case they sent me the garbage bottles for the discounted price. One of the replacements I've gotten has a decent upgrade on the bottle, sadly the other replacement still has a faulty atomizer. Beware of their return policy. I am stuck battling back and forth providing photos and videos of these issues, mailing back the defective perfumes, and waiting for a replacement. I feel like this brand is all show and I'm more than disappointed.

I’ve had my bottle for a few years now, not the tiger edition, just the one with the 158 hand‐placed Swarovski crystals, and it still feels like a little treasure every time I pick it up. I haven’t explored the rest of the line yet but Emerald Reign has always struck me as confidently masculine in its own distinct way. On my skin, it opens as a deep, dark amber wrapped in fruity and spicy accents. There are moments where it leans a bit woody and muted but that actually works beautifully in cold weather. It’s one of those scents that really comes alive when the temperature drops. Performance is no joke. The projection and sillage are well above average and even as a light‐sprayer type, I only need one or two spritzes before the whole room knows what I’m wearing. It’s powerful, polished and definitely not something you overspray.
