I could not disagree more with some of these overly negative HOS reviews (I use the term review liberally more like just a bunch of insults). It does seem like it’s the same few folks who review them just to trash those of us who enjoy them. Those that say they don't understand the hype of these cupcakes or that people only like them for the bottle (forgive me) feels a bit like dissing a pretty girl before you really know her, because she can't possibly be both beautiful and have a good personality. Saying these fragrances are all poor quality and don't last couldn't have possible tried most of them. Now I’ll admit yes I'm sure because of the gorgeous little treats the juice is in make the price is higher than it would be in a typical bottle. But I actually feel more justified spending my money on something that smells lovely and looks exquisite on my dresser. That doesn't make me a sell out or "brainless" ....to me that makes buying perfume more worth it! Some really smell beautiful and they have high oil content. But just like other perfume houses, they all have hits and misses. Their WonderWoman release though breathtaking bottle barely has any smell to my nose, what a missed opportunity. But that's not unlike other houses. By Kilian for example. Talk about "hype" just because a famous person one time randomly hinted that she might wear Love, Don't Be Shy it exploded in popularity. There are a couple of good Kilian fragrances but in my opinion Love is not one of them. It's truly one note to me grape syrup. Now Hauts Bijoux is really a wonderful! There isn't anything just like it, it's fruity and sweet but not too much of either. There's hints of tropical fruits but is also is a bit powdery to keep it from being your typical Pina Colada scent. To me this fragrance is very versatile. And I sprayed some on me this morning about 10 hours ago and just sniffed my arm and still smell it. Now no one can call that trash longevity. That's as good as almost any that aren't just beasts. But those are not as versatile. I love it so much I own the gorgeous limited edition with the mother of pearl and Swarovski crystal sea turtle. Those LEs are so much more gorgeous in person. So don't let naysayers guilt you out of enjoying these cupcakes, who like so many of my sisters out there, are both beautiful and have amazing personality!

I love this perfume and I find it unique. It has all the things I like about perfume and doesn't come off as something everyone has but at the same time it is a crowd pleaser. It is sweet but not overly sickening sweet. It lasts a long time and has excellent projection but doesn't seem to offend anyone that knows me by this smell or has commented on it. Everywhere I go almost, someone stops me on this perfume both women and men and take the time to write down the name because most are not familiar with the name. I wasn't either until I was called over to smell it in Bloomingdales one day as I was cutting through to get to the inside of the mall. I loved it and went back to purchase it and almost fainted at the price but had to have it. Sometimes having one you love and use every drop all the time is worth more than 5 cheaper ones you don't really reach for. I do think it is really priced high but since it lasts for days on the clothes and all day on the skin, I will buy it because of the unique sweet smell and lasting qualities. If it didn't radiate so well or last I would probably only buy it here and there. I really don't know how to describe perfume like a pro and love reading these reviews that do a much better job than me. I will say I can smell the white floral part of this and the mango but it is not a tropical sun tan mango. It is a very refined and floral mango/fruity if that makes sense. It is not too fruity or too floral. It smells like a sophisticated fruity floral well balanced and mixed. It is one you really need to try to know if you would like it. I would not say it is a blind buy because of it's price point. I learned to look at the profile of other perfume reviews and see what those members like/love/have to know their style and if I can blind buy something based on their reviews.

I've tried almost all the "cupcakes" from this brand and so far this is the only one I loved. Benevolence is another good one but just a bit too mature for my likings. This is a light, fresh, tropical scent. I thought I was smelling grapefruit in the opening but it was actually mango to my surprise. I have yet to find a fragrance with that note that smelled remotely close and I've been looking and testing because I love mangoes! For the price of this perfume ($500 cnd) I will say the scent sits very close to the skin and has about 3 hour staying power before I can't smell it anymore. Side note: the quality of the perfume lid I received looked tarnished and the logo in the middle was peeling. I purchased from Saks Fifth Avenue but reached out to HOS to find out with the pictures I provided if the lid I received was suppose to look tarnished. They told me what I received does not meet their quality standards. The package I received was sealed and I don't believe it was tampered with. I returned the bottle to Saks and I will buy direct from HOS but if I receive another faulty lid I will stop buying from this company altogether. I understand most people throw out their empty bottles but I was planning on keeping this bottle as it is adorned with swarovski crystals and I just happen to collect perfume bottles. Also, it's $500. I expect the bottle to be flawless. I mention this because I have read other complaints about the same issue with quality of the lids. Also, the lid is VERY difficult to remove. I almost felt like I was going to crush the bottle in my hand trying to take it off.

Hauts Bijoux is the perfect mango/peachy scent. It's what I've been looking for for YEARS. It's what I was looking for as a teen sniffing around in Victorias Secret, as an adult sniffing around the daisies, the Chanel chances, the j'adores.... this is the epitome of DAMN I SMELL GOOD. its addicting, doesn't cloy, no sharpness. Visual: You're on a dinner cruise off the shores of Maui. you're looking out over the rails, surrounded by dolphins and sea turtles. you've got a bright yellow cocktail in your hand - bright, ripe mango with a glorious gardenia floating on top. the scent of a locally made tropical lotion you've slathered all over yourself envelops you. you're a little drunk, a lotta dreamy. the very first time I sprayed this it reminded me of Jo Malone's Nectarine Blossom and Honey. Now I'd say they're cousins - Jo Malone is the sensible, neat, responsible girl who's aware of her own good looks and confident. Hauts Bijoux is the girl with dimpled cheeks and an infectious laugh. She doesn't take herself too seriously, nor anyone else. She's the kind of beautiful thats unpretentious, yet deeply penetrating. Mythical.

This perfume is so interesting to me, trying out a spray sample of it. Sharp fruity mango with some green woods in the beginning, pleasant enough. Great projection, I can enjoy it without bringing my arm to my nose to sniff. After an hour it becomes half mango-cream and half white bar soap smell. I should specify, it’s not that annoying powdery soap smell, it’s just like a nice bar soap. Very fresh clean smell at this point. After two hours on my skin it smells just like eating perfectly ripe mango in the sun. Not overly sharp or overly sweet, just mild and pleasant and slightly sugary. I want a full bottle of this, but I’m not sure if I want it for me or for my husband! This is marketed for women, but I’d love this fresh smell on a man as well. Update: I just got the full bottle today as an early birthday present! The more I used my sample, the more I just had to own this, it is so unique and beautiful to me. My husband also loves this scent, it was hands-down the fragrance he had the most positive response to out of everything I’ve made him smell on my arm in the past couple weeks :)

Summer sweet grapefruit bomb! This scent is probably my favorite from HoS for myself. I currently own in either full bottles or travel spray Hauts Bijoux (beautiful bottle), love is in the air, Holiday, benevolence (my other favorite especially for winter/fall), chevaux d’or, nouez moi, Mickey Mouse, cream chiffon ( very light almost unnoticeable), whispers of truth noir, whispers of seduction. My son and husband both own HoS 4 which is amazing on them. But anyway, Hauts Bijoux is strong, I am a chronic over sprayer and I CAN NOT. Do that with this scent. It is very strong on me. Perfect for hot weather. I get a ton of the grapefruit but it reminds me of a sugar coated fresh fruit, sweet and citrusy at the same time. I think most women can wear this at any time, day or night, any age. My son would probably wear this to an amusement park in the hot summer. This one rarely goes on sale, so if you see it, jump on it. Sometimes you can get a deal in the travel size.

I purchased Hauts Bijoux because I love Mango (but also because the sillage cupcakes are so cute and it was on sale). The opening was floral and fruity to my nose. I was pleased that the mango shines more and more as it dries down. The dry down is a juicy mango and citrus fruits, with background notes of floral. I do not own many mango forward fragrances, so that makes Hauts Bijoux unique to my collection. While being a very pretty fragrance and bottle, I do not think it smells particularly luxurious or expensive. To my taste there are only a few "full-price worthy" fragrances at House of Sillage, and this is not one of them. But if you like Mango, I think this is a safe blind buy. And I am very happy I own her. A perfect tropical vacation scent!

I agree with a few other commenters, the opening of this is very off putting. I was ready to scrub it off my skin but I persisted and it paid off. I first sprayed on paper and the scent was lovely. I sprayed on my skin and it smelled like nail polish remover or that stuff they use in hair perms. BUT Once the loud, aggressive, bitter, synthetic citrus wears off it dries down to a gorgeous creamy, fruity, warm gourmand skin scent. I can’t believe the transformation. After a good hour of questioning my choices, I am very happy with this one.

I love it. It's very sheer, transparent, and fruity. It's not sweet or intense. It's very likeable and inoffensive. I personally mostly smell fruits, but I can't decide which one it is - mango or the citrus. The fruits are beautiful though and I truly enjoy the opening. It's not sour, or "rotten", like the pulp in byredo, nor is it dirty like the Heretic Parfum lines. They are very nice, fresh and easy to wear. However, I would not pay the price for this perfume. It's nice, but it's certainly not luxury!

Top 5 all time. It’s simply gorgeous and well blended. I get a full 10-12 hours, and it’s beautiful from start to finish. The juice is juicy, lush, and perfect for the spring through early fall. This one and Passion de l’Amour are my favorites from HoS. Plus the bottles are beautiful, and you can sometimes catch it on sale through the HoS website.

Good for any age & any weather. Fruity yet classy at the same time. The epitome of femininity. Perfectly powdery sweet woods... Pleasant for the office, as it's not beast mode, but still a compliment getter. When I think of what people would consider a signature scent, this is on that list. One of my faves from this house.

If you love this perfume but do not want to spend $$$$ for the cupcake, you can buy the refill for much less. It comes without the Swarovski cupcake lid, but you still get the same bottle and juice. It is perfect for a girl like me who is on a budget, but wants all the fancy perfume!

This is a lovely citrus floral fragrance, but in all honesty the bottle is lovelier than the fragrance and for the price you would be better off purchasing a scent such as Pacifica Tuscan Blood Orange or Clinique Happy because in all honesty they are very similar.

You have to love sweet,fruity fragrances to love it. That said, I love sweet, fruity fragrances. It's a fresh ripe mango done right - not cloying or heavy, but bright, classy and clean. I bought the full bottle.

I love this perfume! If you love the smell of mangos and cedar, you'll love this fragrance. It's perfect for long, summer days/nights (and yes, it's worth the price).

This pulls all mango and cedar on me... and I LOVE it!!! A very refreshing and sweet scent.

Smells like an actual car wash

WOW. Sometimes it's great to go blundering into the void and blind-test something which you'd never have chosen for yourself in a million years. House of Sillage's cutesy-bling, gilded cupcake bottles and terrifying prices put it right off-limits for me. And I don't like really mango - either to eat or in a fragrance. Yet I really warmed to this one. What on earth's going on? Well, just high-class, well-judged, finely-balanced perfumery with training as well as good quality materials I guess. Because this one is just tart enough, just earthy enough, just almost-spicy enough, with those really authentic, almost-turpentine tangs you get from real fresh mango, to convince you rather than sicken you. It's beautiful, but it is not 'cute' AT ALL - the phantom of cheap fruit-scented shower gels or car deodorants haunts any mango centric scent for me, but this one is something else, something botanical and alive. Never ever turns the stomach like a cheap synthetic mango scent (or even an overripe, real mango) - it's just the best of the fruit somehow distilled to aromatic deliciousness. Even for people who don't do well with mango. Lots of woody, spicy notes in there, cassis and grapefruit really making themselves felt, yet it's never too much and the fruit salad never sickens or gets too syrupy. In its original approach to a difficult fruit, you could see it as a much more feminine counterpart to L'Artisan's Timbuktu (also full of karo kaounde and mango, though a much greener, butcher one). Even the heliotrope in this just does its work quietly rather than giving out puffs of playdoh or fake-almond-essence. I'm genuinely impressed, even though I'll never own or chase it. Wouldn't have dreamed that I could ever even wear, much less like, a sweet-mango confection, but you live and learn. This is not just wearable but lovely. Respect to the House of Sillage on this one.

Very pretty mango-currant scent. I wore it during the Summer and it was perfect for me. Top note is a gorgeous, juicy mango. Prettiest mango I've seen in a fragrance! Mid stage is an exotic floral with a currant-like note. Very sweet and sharp. This impression lingers for a while, until the bottom green notes emerge to anchor the scent. Dry down is pretty amazing, too. Fresh, clean and grounded at that same time. Mid notes can be a bit much, but I like the juice as a whole. I found that this works best on me right after a shower. It stays fresher that way. If I try touching up during the day however, it can become too sharp and sweet. Either way, this lasts a long time on my skin, so touching up is not really necessary. I was browsing the fragrance section at Bloomingdale's in the beginning of the Summer and spotted these adorable cupcake bottles. Since they are so expensive, I had no intention of purchasing anything from this line, but a lovely sales associate approached me and insisted on offering me two samples - this one and Love is in the Air. I shop there often and suspect they know my tastes by now. I'm not one to accept samples of things I have no intention of purchasing, but she was so nice and the bottles were so adorable that I ended up taking them anyway. She was right! I quickly used up my sample of Hauts Bijoux up and went back for a full bottle. I loved this one so much I didn't even touch the other sample. I must say that I probably would not have purchased this item if it weren't for that sample, simply because I would not want to gamble on an unknown item at this price point. It is now the end of the Summer and I am going to purchase a different one for the Fall (probably Benevolence, not sure yet). This line is beautiful and I am looking forward to enjoying another one of their scents in the upcoming season. Happy sniffing!

I did not expect to like this one as much as I did. I've been looking for my holy grail mango scent for a while now, and I chose to sample this one because of the hype, but I was worried it would be a mess of sweet notes like I found God of Fire to be. I liked this one WAY more. Hauts Bijoux is unapologetically sweet. A beast mode tropical gourmand. It aint subtle and it aint elegant but a loud and proud crowd pleaser whose only desire in life is to steal the show. Playful, girly, fun and flirty I can imagine this being a GREAT summer party fragrance and a massive compliment getter! I wouldn't say this is strictly a mango scent, however. I can definitely smell the mango at first, but in the dry down, after a few hours, honestly is just a very moreish fruit cup cocktail that made my head, and my partner's head, spin. Delicious!

Powerful grapefruit beginning (like a cut throat orange blossom; think Elie Saab Le Parfum). You will always get the scent of grapefruit but overall the fragrance becomes sweeter - like a pink grapefruit & mango fruit salad - the rest of the notes never arrive in FULL gear, they are on the bench for support. This is not a slam dunk but if you know what to expect before sniffing, then you wont be in shock with the initial scent of Ruby Red Squirt. This is my favorite one during summer because it is vibrant.

Honestly did not expect much, my first HOS, and was pleasantly surprised. This is a bright and sweet tropical scent (without coconut thank god) that smells pretty high quality. Opens a bit green but quickly fades to a realistic sweet juicy mango/fruity scent. The cedar freshens it even more in the drydown and prevents it from being cloyingly sweet. LOVE.

I get abit of lychee, mango, musky and it is basically spring and summertime fragrance noticed in the top notes. Nothing really unique from the start. still fruity and floral with some powderiness and warmth from cedar and amber. Its a pretty scent. this is 9/10 mainly because not unique but its still a good fragrance.

Initially I hated this, but after letting it sit for a few weeks I like it. I still dislike the opening which is very harsh. The combo of mango and grapefruit is very screechy and synthetic smelling. However after about an hour this dries down to a gentle fruity but slightly warm scent that sits close to the skin.

If one is searching for a hard-to-find fragrance with a tart grapefruit opening, this is she! As someone who has eaten plenty of grapefruit in my time, Hauts Bijoux gave me flashbacks to some of the most sour ones. But what I wanted was a sweet, smooth tropical karo karounde scent. So, I very much disliked her at first. I contemplated reselling her. And yet— after some time apart, more experience with fragrances, and patience, I have learned to tolerate her, though she goes too sour for far too long to wear solo. She is still very much a tart fragrance throughout her stay, though parts of the drydown can be more mango, juicy, creamy. And sometimes I can just detect the karo karounde with enough patience. Very clean at first spray, but far from a typical scent. Its tartness could be challenging for the wearer. It definitely is for me. This will likely not seem unusual to most of the uninitiated because karo karounde is an uncommon note, yet likely not unique enough to be differentiated from other flowers by most noses. To me, it is heavenly enough to be a soliflore, but one will not find that here with the prominent grapefruit and mango overriding it. And the bottle, yes, is a work of art. I could only dream of some of my favorite fragrances being housed in such rococo luxury.

To my nose, even though the mango note is very present, there is no sweetness per se...the combination of fruits, flowers and woods make this fragrance smell soapy (in the b e s t possible way!!!)...And I love it!! There is also a certain warmth that the fragrance carries throughout the day on my skin. Maybe it’s the amber, but I love how the base notes become warmer and slightly “heavier” as time passes...it feels very cozy and comforting... Longevity? 12 hours + on my skin. Season? Spring, Summer and even Fall. Perfect anytime, any occasion. Now, as far as price...would I get it at retail price ($360 USD)? Heck no!! Those prices are faaaaaar too inflated!! I am patient, I’ll wait for a sale, which, House of Sillage often holds... Edit: June 8th 2023 Just received my full bottle that I purchased during House of Sillage sale!! Yay!! The bottle is even more gorgeous in person and the juice is Pure Loveliness 🥭✨🥭✨🥭✨

This is a nice crowd-pleaser, I think. Something about it reminds me of something I used to wear years ago--maybe a bit of Oh La La by Azzaro wrapped up in some True Religion. It's not a bad combination at all, but it does smell very desinger-like, so if that's not your thing and you're looking for a deep, rich, complex scent, this may not be for you. If you like something that's easy-going, fresh, a bit sweet/floral, this may do just fine. I believe this is more meant for the day (maybe chillin' by the beach--it does have that tropical vibe), but one might also rock it on a summer night. Overall, not bad. This is 7/10 for me.

A tropical princess perfume that opens with lemon, mango and black currants, in that order. Sparkly and undeniably expensive, no artificial aftertaste as the hyacinths start to bloom a half hour in. After another thirty minutes, the flowers dry to woodsy autumn amber and the mango pushes through again, with a pleasant tart bite. But it's gone in less than two hours, and somehow I'm aware of the cost--like I'm wearing a borrowed necklace--and at roughly fifty cents a spray, that's "high jewels" indeed.

Beautiful fruity-floral (more fruity than floral) at first but for some reason, on my skin, I smell piss...😭 it comes and goes and it is very annoying 😑 I think it is the black currant that just doesn’t go well with me? Who knows?

Blind buy thinking I would love it based on the reviews. The notes hit scents I love, but I don’t love it. It reminds me of old fashioned perfumes, with a hint of mango. It’s a beautiful bottle, but I won’t reach for this.

I thought I would love this one from the notes but I'm not getting as much sweet fruitiness as I had hoped for. It's a decent scent but just not one that I would wear.

Hauts Bijoux smells very familiar to me, like something I’ve smelled a thousand times before, and yet I can’t place it. I can picture this quite easily being in a Montale, Mancera or Kajal bottle, something cheap and vulgar. It’s your fairly standard sickly sweet, sugary tropical fruity mess. Overtly scratchy and synthetic, mango, blackcurrant and grapefruit. All this resting on a base of amberwoods and cheap vanilla, it’s rather headache inducing; are people really paying anything over £20 for this? I can see why people rate it similar to fragrances from Britney Spears - because it smells like something you’d pick-up at a drugstore for next to nothing. Bad perfume.

First I need to say I do not at all like this pretentious overpriced perfume house with their weak scents that don’t last and are nothing special to warrant paying such exuberant prices, especially since anyone with a brain knows you’re mainly paying for the fancy bottle. That said, out of all the scents I’ve sampled from this house and I have sampled and lived with them all, this one is the ONLY one that I actually like very much. It’s very nice and unique, I think I may just end up buying this one. I still don’t think it’s worth the high price tag for a perfume that lasts all of an hour at most. On me at least. If Sillage made this one a true extrait version, then I’d say yes it’s worth the price. But not as it is. Actually I changed my mind, I won’t be buying this one. As beautiful as it is, it’s already gone, not even a skin scent an hour later. VERY disappointing.. I find all of Sillage’s fragrances are the same, weak. None of them last longer than an hour and even that is being generous. Sigh...such a shame, it’s a beautiful perfume in a beautiful bottle.

I have not tried this or anything from this fragrance house but man do I wanna get my hands on one of these beauties. I *almost* wouldn’t care about whether or not I enjoyed the scent; the bottles from this brand are just out of this world. I’m afraid to even attempt looking into purchasing cause I have a feeling it’s way more than I’m willing to spend on a fragrance right now, much less a blind buy. Sigh...

I absolutely love this fragrance. I own several HOS fragrances and this is my favorite. It’s so pretty fruity and tropical smelling just AMAZING, perfect for a vacation or to wear in the summer. It does seem that women go crazy for this, but men don’t. My girlfriends keep begging me for it and random women want to know what I’m wearing, while my husband and my brothers don’t like it at all.

Hauts Bijoux reminds me of summers in my home-country when I was 16. Fragrances that bring such memories are few and very dear to me. Besides that it is a perfect combination of sweetness and fruitiness presented in a delicate but luxurious aroma that lasts well over 6 hours. There is nothing cheap about this fragrance. It is my second favorite from HOS (after Benevolence).

Mango, grapefruit and woody notes are the most prominent on me, vanilla rounds it out. It's not overly powdery even though it has iris and heliotrope in it, not overly sweet - I'd say it's the fruity sweetness with no added sugar, very pretty fragrance! The price is pretty high, but other than that it's very wearable crowd pleasing scent.

Unfortunately, it is a no for me. So many reviews says how fruity it is, for me those notes disappeared so fast. All I have left on my skin is cedar ( which I really don’t like) with some amber. Nothing about this perfume make me think of summer. It is unfortunate, really wanted to like this perfume, but there was nothing in it for me.

I was gifted this beautiful fragrance for my birthday by a friend. She had given me one of her travel vials of this one and a few others and it’s so beautiful the mango is nice and sweet. Perfect for spring and summertime. the bottle is so darn cute. It’s an easy likable scent. Now I have 3 cupcakes in my collection.

Fruity, bright, effervescent! Like a mango mimosa at brunch! Lovely spring/summer scent! Very realistic mango!

Zoisite 75 You couldn’t have said that any better!! That’s a spot on assessment!
