Holiday by House Of Sillage

Put this on for the first time in a long while, like months and I still get this Christmas tree, pine, evergreen scent....its not bad, but I can't smell the peach displayed in the notes nor the rose. I thought it would make a good spring/summer daytime scent, but now all I think is Christmas trees...lol. I copped it on a sale which was amazing bc I would not recommend paying full price for this fragrance. Rate: 6/10 Update: 1-22-2022 I can smell the peach now, my nose has evolved, and its actually syrupy. The evergreen/pinecone scent is still present, this fragrance is actually confusing in that I'm not sure if it's a cold perfume or warm. There's a sweet vanilla in the drydown, that would probably benefit from a little musk to balance the sweetness. Overall, HOS Holiday is nice, unique even. Rate: 7.5/10

This to me right from the start smells of a fresh cut Christmas tree, but it doesn't last long before the citrus starts to really get turned up! Can really smell the blood orange very tart...then the rose and jasmine combine this beautiful soft floral touch... This is a gorgeous and ever changing beauty. Would love a full bottle but not at that price!!! Yikes.

With the name "Holiday", I was expecting a heavy fragrance. To my surprise, this is a light, fruity fragrance that can be worn in all weather. I smell the sweetness on my skin, not the cedar or vetiver. Maybe because the scent doesn't last long enough to develop the base notes. It dissipates too quickly for the price point. I like it, I really do, but not $300 worth.

this is very well blended. starts off citrusy, fruity and fresh green, sweet oranges is what I notice. it has the princess DNA. In the middle notes, the woodiness and rose is more prominent after 15 minutes. id give this an 9/10 mainly because its not unique and nothing groundbreaking but its still a pretty scent.

Smells of a creamsicle made with blood oranges, maybe with a touch of something pink and floral. It's sweet and pretty and light. Smells good, but the sillage / projection is not great and it's a very simple scent. It reminds me of a creamier, more vanillic, and better executed version of Pacifica's Blood Orange.

For the price (and longevity & sillage), you're much better off with Atelier Orange Sanguine. HOLIDAY smells like the dry down of Orange Sanguine: lovely bursting oranges.

First time reviewing a perfume here, and I'm not a perfume connoisseur. For reference, any hint of wood/musk/leather in any scent pulls extremely hard on my skin to the point it drowns out other scents. If a perfume has a possibility of smelling like "old lady" (we all know the smell it's not a knock against any older person) my skin will pull that right out. I took a risk with this despite having woody base notes and impulse purchased a decant. The first spray hit me with hard muskiness/wood- very unpleasant. Then the initial drydown I thought could work - sweet more fruity but soft fruit. Then a couple minutes after that the "old lady" perfume kicked in- mostly powdery with a hint of flowery sweet. This was accompanied by dizziness/nausea. Long story short, I hate it and if your skin ever pulls scents like mine does, I do not advise this one.

This straight up smells like Ajax cleaning powder to me. So much so that I googled "Ajax scent" and it came up with the notes of cedar, pine and citrus. I guess that makes sense, then. So I have a beautiful travel spray holder, and 3 vials that I am going to use to freshen up my bathroom, lol.

Holiday House of Sillage 2.5 parfum bottle reviewed Holiday opens up with a juicy blood orange and mandarin. At times, I can even pick up bitter acidic aspects of the rind. The peach adds some body, but mostly keeps the opening from veering too bitter and sour. Shortly after a clean rose surfaces, then a smoky vetiver and woody tone begin to creep in from the base. Its an interesting scent, encapsulates the season of a vintage Christmas celebration. It reads like a neo-chypre with its fresh green/citric elements. I wouldnt go so far as to call it floral-neo chypre as the floral aspects are balanced and the earthy green aspects of the vetiver and cedar/citrus elements seem to prevent this from asserting itself as a floral driven fragrance. The rooty, earthy vetiver plays a large part here in its backbone so if you love or loathe Haitian vetiver, its here in spades. The florals keep this from leaning too masculine, and at times seems to evolve with the jasmine and rose. I would classify Holiday is unisex. This isnt a girly feminine wear. Its well done with a certain refinement. Mark Buxton does his magic with seamless blending and some help here and there with aroma chemicals du jour (white musks). Lovely weighty, quality, iconic cupcake bottle.

I really want it, bottle is beautiful, scent is great. Ohh...My goodness, if someone gave it to me I will hug him so long and kiss a lot to thank. I wish....I wish it come true. Love and love and love...crazy with it..

Smells like a true holiday - wore this during Christmas time in Florida and it was perfect! Fresh, zesty and the cedar pine note gives it a Xmas feeling - it’s a clean summer girl holiday.

This is my 10th HOS perfume. This is so soft and lovely. Weirdly enough, I don’t smell any of the notes listed above but it’s a cashmere creaminess on me. I’m so in love with this scent!

I got pickle-wood and citrus. It wasn't bad but it wasn't anythign I want to smell like.
