Love is in the Air

okay okay, so bare with me...I read through ALL these reviews & this scent ON ME, is almost the exact opposite of what others describe which is crazy to me, so this parfum is def a winter fragrance for me b/c in the summer the opening causes me to sneeze uncontrollably, can cause a migrain, & I'm not at all sensitive to scents, the 1st spray is very very strong, in the winter/fall it does not bother me at all, this parfum gets better after sitting for awhile & the dry down is what I LOVE about this scent! This Parfum on ME if I didn't have a list of notes I would of guessed incense(STRONG), pepper, patchouli, plum & light citrus background, the pepper/incense, I get at initial spray is what causes my sneezing. Now that I see the ingredient list, I def believe it is the cedar/patchouli mixed with citrus causing my sneezing. But on dry down it makes everything SO WORTH IT, on me this scent lasts about 12hrs, 7 of the hours still projecting, the rest of the time the scent sits VERY close to the skin, but I still get random whiffs throughout the day. This scent pulls light incense, plum, white musk and light orange in the dry down on me, it's like no other scent I have & that's why I love it so much, may be a cheaper dupe but I have not found one yet🤞 This is not blind buy safe, or sensitive ppl safe, i still love it, but when I 1st received this bottle, I secretly HATED it, it def grew on me & I have learned to love it after I let it sit for awhile, used in the appropriate season & once I noticed the dry down. I've now had this frag for about 3 years. It took me awhile to REALLY appreciate this fragrance. Powdery, rose frags are my least favorite scent category...BUT this is actually blended so well. The "powder" (I inserted the quotations b/c I believe it's actually the musk and rose making this powder like feel and it doesn't smell like your traditional powder) imo isn't overly powdery, and it's not grandmothers powder table or talc, but it just flows through the other notes so well, you get a sweetness from the plum & citrus, the rose is a traditional rose, some patchouli but nothing too overbearing, it really just gives it depth, grounds it and keeps it from being just too powdery or too floral, but what really adds a unique flare to this frag & REALLY brings the powder like note, rose and patchouli together is the citrus notes, and the woody cedar. When all these notes come together you get a mature, warm, floral, that feels like what a sincere hug would smell like. imo this does WAYYY better in cool weather, like WAY better! So much so that I refuse to wear this in any other weather than winter & fall. The powder becomes way heavier in warm weather, the patchouli can really scream at you and it just doesn't smell as well blended. But in the winter this is really the perfect warm, mature, "I'm sophisticated", floral frag. I've really grown to appreciate & actually really enjoy this fragrance. The way this "powder" lays on my skin becomes so addictive it feels clean, gentle and again sophisticated at the same time. Gorgeous fragrance... IMO.

It prefers cold seasons. Today, on a stormy and warm spring day it is a bit too much. Probably would be better for the evening on a date with a prince. As it is the fairytale scent overwhelms me a bit. It starts like pure honey or nectar. Sweet jasmine and rose mix like this with plum. Out of citrus notes I feel juicy sun-drenched orange the most. The base is solid but gentle. Fluffy musk and chocolaty patchouli. They make it slightly gourmand. After 2,5 hours the heart of the scent truly shines. It is so dreamy, delectable and gorgeous. Melts with the skin and I no longer feel it is too hot for the scent. At 7 hours mark it hits drydown which is rather gentle. It goes to sleep. The scent is quite intense but charming. Like a love should be.

Fairytale-like. Princess, golden crown on her head, light blue long gown - I cannot shake this impression :) There is something childish to it. Brings back childhood memories. It is so pretty pretty pretty. It's an intense sensation of overwhelming cuteness. Fruity on top, fluffy in the middle, with something caressing, sweet and substantial at its core. Does not seem particularly original and yet it us unmistakable. Autumn and winter for me, yet it will work also during spring. I prefer it for the evening. A scent that has many copies. This one keeps the quality high - worthy of the inspiration source. It's my 2nd review of this scent. Makes an impact every time I wear it. Attention grasper.

So this is the most beautiful elegant feminine light airy, yet sweet powdery plummy rose. This so pretty. But longevity suck bad time, I’m so disappointed for the price, that it could be done with better staying power. If you stay home you can get may be 3-4 hours but it doesn’t become skin scent very fast, the projection is little none existent, someone has to be so so close to smell it. But if you go outside, the scent is gone like right away. Im just disappointed in lasting power, the scent is like nothing I smelled before. It has similarity to Chanel coco noir but minus that patchouli note I dislike in every Chanel.

This is beautiful and soft where the floral notes are dancing around the consistent plum note. I love how this is the best one from House of Silage - this is a special the way Nasomatto's Narcotic V is beautiful so is this. It develops a tiny bit citrusy on me - I agree that there is that almost pineappley vibe u get a whiff of. I guess it varies from one body chemistry to the other. If you liked HoS Cherry Blossom, Tiara, or Nasomatto Narcotic V you would love this. Projection is not great - longevity I think it performs 3 hrs maximum on me.

Inocent, juicy, sweet, candy-like scent. It opens with a burst of citrus fruit, very nice. Then plum and white flowers come to play followed closely by patchouli. It reminds me a little bit of Angel Muse EDT, but without the hazelnut, if that make sense. I really love it, but it took me a few sprays to get to know this fragrance. The bottle is beautiful! Fun to hold and look at. I smile every time to use it... Cupcake... :)

This is a beautiful fragrance; this is fragrance concocted using the highest raw materials. This the perfect scenario of "it is not you, it is me" My skin absorbs this fragrance at an incredible speed. It becomes a very intimate affair; it is so close to my skin that only when I sigh I get glimpses of it. It takes me to a place of melancholy. Like a sweet embrace when the sadness arrives...

This is a very lovely scent of sweet plums, roses and hint of white musk. After an hour this scent becomes very soft and very mild for spring,summer and early fall day.However,for the price is too expensive for a mild scent that does not last past one hour. You will have to carry the bottle for refresh sprays every hour.

this is a really wonderful, sweet plum scent. it is strong and long lasting. the crystals on this bottle are white and not blue as pictured. luckyscent is selling spray samples for all "house of silage" fragrances. this bottle is light blue with a silver top and white crystals. very beautiful bottle and scent.

Very pretty one opening but super basic and mass appealing. Almost passed on this one until I gave it a full chance and let it dry down, it opened up so beautifully and is really elegant and makes you feel lovely. full bottle worthy if you catch it on sale!

I love this! Smells so pretty on me. Sweet juicy plum with touches of green citrus , rose, soft florals, gentle musk & some warmth from gentle woods & patchouli. Smells best in Fall weather.

The plum at the top makes this juicy and interesting. Hours into the dry down, all I'm sadly smelling is a dupe for fabric softener. Yes, really! Projection is average to better-than-average. Longevity is over 9 hours. Or, you can just use Downy fabric softener for $5.99 per bottle, but of course they are not these beautiful cupcake flacons, so there's that to consider.

sweet citrus fruity with a touch of rose, but a rose that I rather like (a bit sweet), enough to make it feel a little more unique than the all the other sweet fruity florals.

Intoxicating sweet soft fruity floral, nice, you cant go wrong with it,there are other perfumes similar to it, but this bottle is exceptionally beautiful.

This smells like sweet baby powder. I wouldn't go so far as to say that it's old-fashioned, but it does remind me of something I smelled as a child in the 80s -- possibly makeup from a powder puff, back when makeup was heavily fragranced. Even if you like this type of scent, this is way overpriced (even if you were to get it at one of HOS' standard 50% off sales). Love is in the Air is unremarkable, and you could probably find something that smells exactly the same for $25.

This perfume smells like when you walk into a "Lush" store. Almost bath bomb, fresh laundry type of scent. I do like it and almost considered buying a full bottle (bottles are adorable) but there was something in the notes that was bothering me and I'm pretty sure it's the rose. It's described as a fruity floral but I would say it is more floral fresh clean and not overly fruity.

smells like baby lotion, with floral and fruit notes upfront, a bit of citrus, a bit of murkiness. i don't detect the plum though. its a pretty smells. for the dry down: rose, powdery, spring summer time, 8/10, 25s, bit more a darker personality not that girly, a bit mysterious.

My first impression was old fashioned hair grease or some other beauty product. Not wholly unpleasant but not full cupcake worthy imo, even at sale price

I have samples this...intoxicating and too sweet...not for me !

This is a beautiful scent, but I have a chemical intolerance to it. It gives me a headache, stuffy nose and nausea, and I suspect this affects the way I interpret this fragrance. What stands out the most to me is the rose. I would not be surprised if they use natural rose oil in this formula because I have a strong intolerance to it, unfortunately. Upon first spray all I get is roses, so deep and realistic that I thought this was a rose-centered fragrance. After that - and this is where I begin to feel sick - I get a strong, almost unbearable detergent note, but I don't think it is meant to smell this way. By this stage, my head begins to hurt and my stomach gets queasy. The bridge of my nose becomes sore, too. Unfortunately, this phase lasts quite a while, so I am unable to enjoy this product properly. After a long time, I smell the softest, prettiest vanilla with a tinge of sparkling aldehydes. This is definitely worth a try if you like soft, feminine fragrances with roses and a bit of vanilla, and do not suffer from allergies to rose oil. Some reviewers say that the House of Sillage fragrances have no lasting power, but my experience is the opposite. While soft and breezy, they last a long time on my skin.

I recently purchased the sample box set of the Signature line, and this and Passion De L'amour are the only ones I really loved enough to get a full bottle. The other scents mostly smell like other fragrances I’ve smelled at some point before, but Love Is in the Air feels different from anything I have in my collection. Imagine you have a bowl of ripe, sweet citrus fruits and plums. Then imagine crushing up a ton of Smarties candies into a fine dust and rolling those fruits in it. This fragrance reminds me of a cross between this concoction and Downy fabric softener sheets. Powdery, very sweet, and incredibly comforting. It’s quite potent and the sillage is wicked good on this one. Lasts all day on my skin and even longer on clothes. I will definitely be reserving this one for the cooler months because the combination of powdery and sweet reads very heavy and it would feel absolutely stifling in high heat for me. But I find it to be very beautiful and I’m glad I was able to get my nose on it.

Better than Benevolence in my view but I still don’t get the price. Except if you pay for bottles. The idea of the fragrance is not bad, but some nasty metallic chemical after- note comes in the middle and spoils it. Also after about 20 min some aldehyde note plays back and forth with the more oriental vanilla background which is a bit disturbing yet not unpleasant. If that chemical metallic thing was out, it could have been a better plummy floral oriental but again, far from that price.

I can see why some mention baby powder mixed With fruits, something about this reminds me of cherry cough syrup at first sniff. There is something Medicine like that is a bit odd, not an unpleasant smell just not my thing.... I will give it a test wear just to get a better sense of it in general. This looked better on paper to be honest

Just testing this right now and I must say I like the opening. Soft, fruity and musky. Would have to revert later for a full review as this is my first time trying so I can’t talk much about the performance. But so far so good. I’m liking it. This is a mass appealing scent though

It kinda reminds me of baby powder with some florals & fruits but is not too fruity or too floral I think is well balanced a lil bit masculine tho. If I were to describe it its like what the room of a baby would smell like

I've never said this in a review, but it smells cheap to me. The florals are screechy. And like Victoria's review, below me, I too get sick. This smells like and wears like a chemical soup.

Straight powder on me. I do like it, but not enough to get a full bottle. Lovely for the summer though.
