Ruby Reign

10/24/22 I love this for fall and winter. I see ppl describe this as more masculine but l find it feminine. However, it reminds me of Bond's Chinatown which is also descibed as unisex. If you find Chinatown unisex or a bit male oriented, you probably find this scent unisex or more male as well. I find both feminine but that is probably just my nose. I am new to HOS as I am long-time Creed and Bond No.9 devotee. But in the past 2 years I wanted to try some younger, hipper (?) niche fragrance houses. I find HOS cupcakes to mostly be very sweet but Ruby Reign I like. I agree that it is a more mature fragrance. I am very attracted to the cedar and oud fragrances and this scent is heavy on both. The dry-down is powdery. I found a cool weather evening fragrance which gives off a very classy, sexy vibe. EDIT: OK, I have lived with this fragrance for a couple months now. It is definitely a more male fragrance but I can smell a slight unisex vibe. I can definitely smell the Bond 9's Chinatown comparison. It's not me at all so after a few wears I have decided it is better suited for my middle daughter who needs to grow up and stop wearing drug store and Bath & Body Works fragrance. My Goodness, she is 27! I also smell a lot of leather. I stand by all my other comments.

So I've had this for about 3yrs now. It's a suade, saffron, rose, patchouli, & oud dominate frag in opening, & dry down is incense, Cedar, Amber, and rose in dry down. Starts slightly feminine, but after 20min it def turns SUPER Masculine. The thing is with HOS a lot of there "masc" frags are actually more "fem" than thier fem offerings. For example imo batman both male and female versions are PERFCTLY unisex, either gender can wear either of the batman's, BUT I bought the male version if Passion L'Amour b/c it leaned more fem(the notes seem like the fem would lean more fem but NOPE). The fem versions is so woody & oud with freshness, but the male version is like a fresh vanilla frag. Also this ruby line, the female version is SUPER masc while the male is a beautiful more fem sweet, woody & just a little spicy rose. So I bought the male version if this as well. and gave mine to my fiance. He loves it during very cold holiday wether.

I absolutely love the design of this fragrance. The cap is a bold statement - I thought that this was related to Black Panther originally... but it’s actually the flanker to Emerald Reign. Ruby Reign on initial spray is sweet BUT very woody, dense, heavy and a tad bit overwhelming. The orange blossom does not come through for me on my skin... in fact I get more woods, leather and incense more than any other notes. It induces headaches when oversprayed because of the Patchouli, Incense and Musk... it can be a bit much. I am loving prettier fragrances so I don’t think I would want Ruby Reign to project any more.... Most suitable for evening wear because of the aforementioned notes. ✅ Performance with decent sillage, projection and longevity. This is just for Men perfume, the opening which lasts 5 minutes may feel a little feminine that comes from saffron, but after that it leans very VERY MASCULINE.. may fit age group 50+ but it’s too heavy and not safe to blind buy at all .. even the 50s around me who likes strong perfumes thinks it’s too way heavy and cause headaches

I just got this fragrance, I love the opening only! Starts with nice rose and saffron which fades right away 🙄and then it develops to a spicy, woody, smokey leathery more for men not even a unisex. Not feminine at all 😩 reminds me of a 50+ years old men fragrance. Very strong patchouly and suede
