Whispers of Enlightenment

This opens tart and fruity, then throughout the drydown it sweetens up. There's a fruity liquor affect going on with this fragrance that I find to be unique. It's hard to come by a F/B of WOG these days, but HOS has the 8ml travel size for $60 usd. And I have been able to get 4 to 5 hours of wear before it turns into a complete skin scent. At a cost of roughly $380 a cupcake, it should last double what I've been experiencing. I wonder If this is discontinued...anyone know?

Definitely luscious sweet peach, with vexing facets. This has the HOS trademark of being intoxicatingly addictive. You get compliments from random people beaming a smile at you. It’s a very bright and cheerful, yet sophisticated and expensive peach scent. I love and have so many fragrances from HOS.

A nice fruity/floral fragrance. If you like peach and pink pepper with soft floral base notes, you'll like this perfume.

It's a YES for me!! And I'm surprised. This is a lovely peach-y, fruity, and jasmine fragrance. It smells nice and sweet but not too sweet. The peach for me is fragrant, present, but also kind of dry - which isn't a bad thing to me. It doesn't feel exactly like a wet and juicy, sweet peach that's just had the skin broken. It feels like a peach that was bitten into a few hours ago, and then placed on top of a wooden shelf, right next to dried out florals...and as it has sat, it has become less sticky sweet, and more dry and earthly fragrant, w/ the smallest bit of spice. The skin that was once washed, has also dried out, and began to provide a dustiness that helps the fragrance. I am pleased w/ this House of Sillage purchase - FINALLY! No other juice I have from this house comes off as anything more than a faint, barely there, whiff of scent - for ME. I even got a "what are you wearing?" And a "ummm" as I waved my arm in my relatives' face after they asked...they also happen to feel like having more than 2 perfumes is overkill. I sprayed 3 times along my arm. This was over 4 hours ago, and it's still going strong.

I received this as a Christmas gift and was a little disappointed with it in the cold of winter. But I revisited this scent as it has started to warm up and I’m really thrilled with it now. I get the peach and pink pepper along with the rose, jasmine, vetiver, patchouli and moss. That moss really adds this undercurrent of, I hate to use the term, dankness, but it is true and perfect in this scent. I like that earthy grounding. It is the right juxtaposition necessary to keep this scent from going off into the overly sweet realm. The jasmine also adds that same quality, making it a bit more sultry than it would have been without it. Upon first sniff some might dismiss this as frivolous and boring, but I have found it to be much more well rounded and well thought out.

It's the opening for me: I bought the Discovery Set and as I sprayed this one I had to pause and look up the notes because it stood out from the rest. It has to be the Vetiver that creates this Fruity yet slightly earthy combo. I would wear this simply because it stands out in a very good way.

Smells of an expensive peach perfume. Very pleasant. Unfortunately at its big ol‘ price, it didn’t last more than half my shift (4.5hrs) on me. Reminds me of Miss Dior Cherie but a more mature version of it... anyways, I’ll try this out again but atm, I’m not that impressed. 🤷🏽♀️

This is peach pie a la mode with a caramel drizzle over the top. Southern summer dessert in a bottle. Warm and smooth. Not the least bit screechy. I do not detect an ounce of rose with my nose.

Fantastic opening, blast of yummy peaches! Does fade a little fast but the youthful and delightful vibe persists.

Very peach. The most peach I’ve smelled in a fragrance but it is balanced with the floral.

I own the full cupcake of this one, I think I was expecting a more juicy peach. I prefer HoS Sweet Dreams, which has more peach, than HoS Whispers of Enlightenment. The pink pepper is strong to my nose at opening and lingers for a looong time, we're talking over an hour. After the pepper, the perfume opens with a lot of Jasmine which is pretty. Then rose comes through I think as equally strong as the peach, which are both in the background behind the pepper and jasmine. The rose smells sweet almost like it is mixed with jam, the sweetness could come from the caramel (but I don't smell caramel specifically). The peach is a green peach skin, maybe not entirely ripe. This is not a loud juicy wet peach, it is faint and fresh. Some reviewers mention they smell peach pie, I wish I did! I prefer the dry down as it becomes more sweet and a certain booziness comes out to play which I like. Not a rum booziness, like in Sweet Dreams, but something less warm and sweet like a dry whiskey. This is a unique fragrance, more mature. I dont know if I will reach for it often, the pepper is just too loud but thank goodness after a couple of hours the pepper dies down.

(Received a sample of this scent from Neiman Marcus.) I was curious to try this because House of Sillage is a fairly new perfumer and the notes sounded lovely. Was hoping for an interesting rose/peach marriage but it wasn’t there. All I could find was a huge, relentless blast of peach and that was it. Unfortunately, this fragrance was a disappointment for me. “A rose by any other name would smell as sweet as ... peach”? I wouldn’t ignore House of Sillage, though. And the bottles are lovely.

Man, I don't like this. I tried it today and halfway through my shift I had to scrub it off my wrist, but the darn thing persisted. I guess that makes it good quality: that even though you try your best to take it off your skin, it persists. It is reminiscent of Calyx by Clinique. I have that perfume and I'm selling it, as well as I plan to sell this sample that I'm talking about.

Oof this one is rough. It opens with a blast of screechy artificial fruit wrapped in an almost powder feeling so strong you can almost taste it. It eventually mellow into an artificial peach, like those peach ring candies. To me this feels like a drugstore knock off of a body spray. After tolerating it for about a hour I finally gave up and scrubbed it off.

To me, this fragrance is half peach scent and half very mature powder scent. I enjoy the peach aspect, but I can’t bear the powder note, so this one wasn’t for me.

Such a nice fruity-floral! Peachy-rose - so gorgeus! I cannot stop sniffing my hand! Usually vetiver and caramel are the notes I have issues with, but here they are nicely blended, vetiver is not overdone! I can see comparison to Pink Me Up, this one is much less sweet though for sure. It could be "eau fraiche" flanker for Pink Me Up (I know Whispers of Enlightenment were released much earlier, but if we were to compare the vibes, this one is a fresher sister). I like it, but vetiver is little too strong for me. The dry down is totally different from Pink Me Up - vetiver is the main note in the dry down on me.

I mainly detect peach and jasmine. This is the first scent with peach top note that I really like; the vetiver prevents the peach from smelling too artificial and overly clean. There is also something luminous and young about this scent...BUT, I don't really like the dry-down of this--it can dry a bit powdery and sour to my nose (compared to another 'Whispers' fragrance--Whispers of Strength, which is more powdery at first that dries cleaner), so if you tend to rub your perfume into your skin, I recommend you don't for this one.

Delicious. Think of a peach pie, but not sugary sweet in a juvenile, syrupy way. It has depth, is warmer. Think sugar and spice. the cinnamon & caramel give it the mature, sophisticated vibe. Definitely a slept on fragrance!

This reminds me of Chanel Cristalle Edp,the moment i sniffed it this hit me. And if i compare the notes,there are some common. HoS has some caramel in the back,but oh well...HighEnd Chanel...
