Habanera

A sublime tobacco and leather! Soft, deep and sensuous!!! Beautiful! And lasts really well. It's exotic and comforting. And such a fabulous colour! So rich and potent. It's like a really deep aromatic tobacco, with a lovely smooth gentle ambience. I love it.

The perfect blend of tobacco and leather - soft and chic. It feels like a blend of Santa Maria Novella's Tobacco Toscano and Knize 10. Definitely old-school in the most wonderful way possible. Hove does a great set of 3 drams to sample.

When I'm feeling a little George Sand or Marlene Dietrich, this is my go-to scent. It's sexy, confident, and for a woman, daring but clean.

Trust me, the previous reviewer, MitHsur, is spot on with their review, so I second that this evokes a combination of Knife Ten and Tobacco Toscano as I have sampled both. And like both of those, it can be worn by both men and women. The Habanera I'm currently wearing is from one of the minis that I purchased in their sampler set when I visited the store in New Orleans a while back. Unfortunately, this shop refuses to list notes anywhere, and will not allow you to try them in the store, so any purchase is basically a kind of "blind buy" since all you can do is sniff paper strips and then purchase to experience how the scent plays out on skin later, and that can make it hard to choose at the time of purchase. Fortunately, I have worn enough of their scents over the years to trust that anything I purchase from them will be consistently decent and in some cases, like Habanera, exceptional.
