Spanish Moss

On first sniff, my eyes opened wide in amazement of how good this smells. I grew up in the Deep South, and something about this feels so familiar and quintessentially Southern. Maybe it's because there are elements of it that smell like the fluffy powdery notes I'd experience digging through my grandmother's makeup drawer as well as the smell of sweet, heady (but not headachy) florals. In about the first 30 minutes, it smells like a mixture between cherry Jolly Ranchers and violet candy, but it's not too sweet like you'd expect with those notes. The cherry Jolly Rancher smell sticks around, but then it turns into a fluffy and semi-sweet floral. It's not quite honeysuckle, but I think there is a honey note in this. I'm also guessing orris root because I lot of fragrances I've experience with this ethereal fluff contain it. As for moss, I'm really not sensing any, and I've smelled lots of moss in the woods in my days ... and Spanish moss from living in the Deep South. But I'm not mad it's missing because this is one of the most gorgeous fragrances I've ever smelled. It lasts a forever on the skin and goes very carnally musky toward the end (like around the 12th hour).

I just visited Hove in New Orleans for the first time. I loved the so many of the perfumes but decided on Spanish Moss and Kiss in the dark . Both are fantastic! Great longevity. I could not get over the projection form my 1/2 oz dab-on perfumes. I will be buying more!!

I purchased this perfume in New Orleans several years ago and still think about the scent; it was truly intoxicating with brilliant projection and longevity. It is a mossy fragrance but has some white floral notes as well. Highly recommend.

I got this perfume because someone somewhere on the interwebs said it smelled like cherries and they were right. I also get white florals, light woodiness, and powdery notes. All those notes are harmonious and none of them stand out the most to me. Too powdery for my man’s liking, but I like it. It’s extremely versatile I have worn this in cold weather and hot weather day or night. It’s definitely not one of my favorites but every now and then I crave the smell.

This is amazing. It seems there is definitely something more than moss. To me it almost smells like sweet pea, which I love. I would never wear this because I prefer my perfumes a little darker and more intense but I can see how someone would love this!
