Tea Olive

Hove is one of the very few perfume houses you can be totally fine and stop looking for more. Their creations should satisfy every taste, are unique and really stay close to the skin. I wish there were more ingredients listed.. Tea Olive is definitely not just osmanthus, I had a chance to smell olive wood and this perfume has such note for sure. I totally agree with Smellagent, I do not live in NOLA, but the smell of this perfume is the smell of French Quarter and the history of it. Love love love...

One of my faves, this osmanthus scent is very soapy and classically french in essence. Perfect for hot weather when you want to feel very elegant. Give this one a try if you can!

This fragrance is ultra floral and feminine. It's ideal for the seasons of spring and summer, in my opinion. The scent sits close to the skin but is very long lasting. I put it on at night and when I woke up the next morning it was still there. It wasn't faint but moderately present. On initial application, it's reminiscent of a heightened spring day where the flowers are in full bloom and potent . On cool down, it's a creamy, intoxicating,, and luxurious scent.

What a disappointment to search for something that would smell like my lovely tea olive bushes, only to spend $30 on a dram's worth and have it smell like straight up old ladies. Smells nothing like tea olive and I couldn't even disguise it with my other perfume.

Smells like the soap in my great grandmas bathroom. It’s that pungent instant headache white floral. The slightest hint of identifiable tea olive is present but nothing like the actual apricoty sometimes peachy smell i love in the actual flower and that we all want in osmanthus scents. Majorly disappointed, I wanted this to be good.

This is the osmanthus scent I have been searching for. Strange, as I had a bottle of Hove Tea Olive 20 years ago, but had forgotten all about the perfume and the store. It truly captures the smell of Uptown New Orleans on a warm, breezy day. I suspect there is some kind of aldehyde in the formulation, but one that doesn't carry much of a scent as much as it adds a slight soapiness and creaminess to the osmanthus. Very long lasting and very much recommended for the homesick New Orleanian.

I used to have a bottle and need another one. I am so glad they listed this perfume company. They are my fave in New Orleans worth sampling every offering. I agree with @jana.hullinghors decription. You cannot live in New Orleans and not love Sweet Olive.
