Kings Road

Very good scent for the price. A lot better than any designer fragrance in this genre. Semi sweet citrus with sandalwood and vetyver. Starts with grapefruit and lavender, after 20 minutes nutmeg and little bit of pepper. Drydown is more woody. Well blended scent. Longevity is 6 hours, projection is average.

Great scent, gentlemanly and commanding but not overpowering. Longevity is not great, nor is the silage. Starts off with a burst of "dirty" citrus, then mellows out during the dry-down to a spicy lavender and wood notes.

recently, i acquired 2 parson fragrances, kings road and traditional. today, i am wearing kings road. once upon a time, there were men's colognes in a world of heavy women's scents--chanel, dior, etc. almost a tiny island of bracing clean stiff upper lip anglophilia. austerity vs. opulence. and in this dichotomy, there was a certain degree of comfort in knowing where things "properly" belonged. and parsons definitely recalls such a neatness. KR does not announce its presence but rather emits a sense of tangy lemon slice, on the side of a tea cup which evolves (devolves) into a sober wooden/spice furniture polish. clean and subtle. not long lasting, quickly becomes a mild body scent after 2 hours. wearing it, i am reminded of a museum with large 19th century paintings of park scenes, picnics, horse races, city streets, maybe in the rain, maybe at twilight. sharpness underlies these vintage moods keeping it all at distance, like those paintings in the museum. a refreshing change at times.

Nice scent. It's very soft and warm. I get a smooth cedary aroma which reminds me of Lalique White. Classy and understated, so it's ideal for the office.
