Boss Alive Eau de Parfum

Another Annick Menardo triumph. It was a blind buy for me, as Menardo made my all-time favourite fragrance (Miracle So Magic), and her frags tend to be much more hit than miss for me. I tend to gravitate more toward floral than fruity fragrances, so I wasn’t sure how I’d respond to this. But so many reviews below mentioned a Christmas element that I was finding myself convinced. I was lucky enough to find a 30mL bottle on offer, and my only regret is not buying a bigger one. This is a spicy, vanilla-forward fragrance whose gentle floral aspects *just* steer it away from being straight-up gourmand. The fruity notes are those of warm, spiced, stewed berries like you’d find in a crumble dessert, rather than anything fresh or tropical; the Christmas comparisons are well earned. However, it would be as lovely on a warm August night as it is in December. I liked Alive when I first tried it, and have since grown to love it. It is beautiful, and I’ve had many compliments when wearing it. It’s not a bomb; it’s gentle and inoffensive from initial spray through dry down. It’s subtle enough that I don’t really smell it on myself unless I press nose to skin/clothes, but it’s clearly projecting enough for others to small and express approval. I do catch whiffs of it on myself now and then throughout the day, and it definitely stays on clothes. A spritz in the hair helps, too. It’s a safe office scent, but is far from generic. I saw that it has been compared to YSL Libre (EDP). I understand the comparison; Libre would be a much stronger version of Alive, with the addition of a very prominent orange blossom-jasmine combo. As orange blossom tends to stand out too strongly on me (especially when combined with jasmine), I prefer Alive to Libre. Alive does have jasmine in it, but it is very subtle and balanced beautifully with the other notes. I really recommend Alive, especially for anyone seeking a spicy, complex vanilla/fruit or vanilla/floral. It would suit a wearer of any age, so would be a safe gift for any fragrance lover. And from my experience, it’s a super-safe blind buy. If you’re on the fence about buying it, you’re very unlikely to regret the purchase — especially if you’re lucky enough to find an offer!

so, this smells very sweet to me, but not candy sweet, I don't really know how to describe it other than ''yes I want it, this smells expensive''. I initially tried it on at work cause I liked the bottle and was surprised by the unisex dry down, I feel like it really encapsulates the classic boss scent (as in their signature). I am not good with notes, but there's something sickening about the first sniff you get after spraying, which I think it's given by the plum, BUT it doesn't bother me that much cause it goes away in like 10 minutes. Longevity is pretty good, not anything extraordinary, but you will be able to smell it on clothes when you get back home after a long day/night out. I really don't see any resemblance with Good Girl, literally none at all, maybe it does smell a bit like Libre, but no dupe for sure. It does smell like you are a very well put together person that works in an office, I get the red lipstick and stilettos paired with a white collar shirt vibe. It's nice. :) Overall, yes try it first and give it a bit of time, cause you might not like the top notes, but it is definitely a beautiful and well blended scent. I got it for 30 pounds for 50 ml on offer from Notino, which is a very good price, but I know it retails for around 50-70 pounds for a bottle like that, if you buy it in store. (eg boots/tfs/superdrug) don't know if I would have paid that much money on it. 9/10

The reason why I had to have this is lost on me, reviews on Fragrantica are terrible, and people for the most part mention this as just not impressive. So idk why I like this, but I'll try to formulate some thoughts. -Bottle is important to me, and this one is right up my alley. Actually, I really want the 100 ml because it is just so beautiful. The gold frame. Guys. So simple and so pretty. - I am coming to the realisation that I need more easy going, family friendly scents. The people that I really need to please are my children and husband. I need something my kids can enjoy, less challenging stuff. -What I wear at work is less relevant; I don't become less of a boss by wearing this. -Serious enough for work, I really think this one is a good compromise, with a bit of a herbal kick, and not too sweet or warm or gourmand. -Lasts well, even with just a few sprays, even on skin. -Suffocates nobody, I can spray liberally and then enter the car and nobody will complain. -Reminds me of my beloved Libre, but without any of the sharp edges, it is elegant, put together, but inviting without ever being too much or too harsh. -Any weather, any occasion. I got the most overwhelming compliments from my 5 year-old when hugging me wearing this. To my nose, it is a fruity jasmine with a woody base. The apple is a bit sour, not shampoey. I don't see how people can dislike this.

I don't know how, but this smells to me like a more intense, better, smoother version of Viva la Juicy Gold Couture! And they don't even have similar notes, how weird is that! Granted, this is my first impression of this, but this to me is super pleasant, sweet, delicious, cozy and inviting; a bit overpriced for what it is, true, not original, very crowd-pleasing(including me!), but smells so good and mouth-watering! Love it! As I've stated in my other reviews, not every scent has to be unique, sometimes I think that I just need a nice, crowd-pleasing scent that I will surely know it's gonna make me smell goooood without putting much thought in choosing it. I love the diversity in perfumery and I don't like people who dismiss fragrances that are too "basic" and mock them, I've noticed this trend of bashing almost every new release that follows a crowd pleasing pattern, even though there is no need for this, there are literally tens of thousands of fragrances for everyone! Just let people enjoy what they want without making them feel bad for not choosing to bath everyday in niche or weird "original" frags! This is another good Hugo Boss release, I've been loving their offerings in the past 1-2 years. Recommend this!

Honestly, I really really like this perfume, which is weird because I don't usually like this kind of perfume. Maybe it isn't something revolutionary or mega unique, but I find it quite nice and loveable. I also wouldn't compare it with other scents (i see a lot of good girl and libre) because honestly every perfume to me is special and differs from others, more or less. I think that this is a very good every day and every moment type of perfume. It doesn't agressively attack your nose, but at the same time gives off boss b type of scent. It can save you in any situation cause it's super wearable. I love how it has 3 different stages of its smell: first it's really powdery and girly, than you can smell the flowers a lot better and in the end, the strong vanilla, cinamon and woody scents stay on your skin. I think it's appropriate for any location at any time. It has a little bit of a male scent note in it when it lays on your skin a bit longer, but I don't mind it at all, it makes me feel more powerful. The packaging is classy and simple and it doesn't look cheap. I think that this can be a great signature scent and overall I really adore it.

I got it from my boyfriend, and it is my new absolute favourite! Its sweetness is crisp and well-balanced, it reminds me very much of versace versence. I do seem to smell a vibrant splash of sweet mandarine. The notes imply wood scents, and there is a certain pencil-like aroma in it. Nevertheless it doesnt smell heavily spiced or 'dark'. It does have a soothing warm calming balance in energetic fruityness and interesting spices. You guys it is really a great perfume! The flowing of top to base notes is only slightly noticeable. It is a very friendly, sophisticated aromatic and bubbly fragrance! No sharpness whatsoever and not a single chemical hint. It is not a sweet teen smell and not a herb-infused eau de cologne. It is super warming fresh and reminds of a wellness aromatherapy treatment, like the smell of freshly conditioned hair. An optimistic and pampering spirit of sweet juicy thirst-quenching fruit, balanced with hints of fresh thymian leafs and mild yet aromatic woods, without the sourness or sharpness of citrus.

I went through two samples before deciding that this is FB worthy. Since I am very bad in detecting the single notes in a fragrance this review is more about my impressions. This perfume is a save no brainer. It is like a familiar restaurant. You don’t expect gastronomic epiphanies but you know that you will leave it happy and satisfied. I find Alive uplifting, cheerful and a good companion. I would never hesitate to wear it no matter the occasion. It always feels right. Somehow it is in the same range like Mon Guerlain but not in an aromatic but more in a fruity way. The performance and sillage is just right. Strong enough to get noticed but not overwhelming and nauseating. I get pleasant whiffs from time to time and got a compliment from a lady on the bus. If this is considered generic, than it is a well done generic. I find it memorable and am convinced it will be available in stores for a long time.

Wow people are super harsh about this fragrance.. 😳 I almost didn't try it bc of the reviews and then the first perfume in the similar section being Good Girl which isn't a favorite of mine. 💖 I'm glad I purchased this though. I like it for what it is. An easy reach every day fall fragrance perfect for running errands with a low key festive 🍂 Autumn spirit 😆... Also I'd been searching for a perfume that I could really smell plum in, so this was exactly what I was hoping for. Plus I don't get Good Girl at all thankfully. I get the vanilla jasmine woods plum cinnamon but in a subtle daytime scent not a heavy date night. It really reminds me of Armani Because It’s You, same type of perfume, same vibe if you know what that smells like switch out the raspberry for cinnamon with a little plum. Longevity about 5 hours, definitely not a bold powerhouse scent. It does have a matching lotion I'm waiting on.

I LOVE it. My spouse said that I smell like a man and he doesn't like it at all. But I don't care. It reminds me of the Esprit Collection perfume I had in my teens. I checked and there aren't identical notes in them, however, they do share a lot of the same accords. This perfume makes me feel the same way as the Esprit's did - happy, carefree, alive. I usually avoid vanilla notes in perfumes because the vanilla is often overpowering but not in this one. I think it pairs really beautifully with the apple, blackcurrant, and cinnamon. It's a warm and rich scent without being heavy, and there's an underlying freshness as well. A very comfortable and snuggly scent, feels like I'm wrapped in a warm blanket. The longevity and sillage with this are insane! Two sprays last the whole day and I still smell it like I'd just sprayed it. With more sprays, you can definitely fill the whole room with the scent.

I keep coming back to Alive, it’s my favorite daily office sent. It just smells put together, every time I use it I get compliments from both men and women. It projects confidence, presence, personality without being overpowering. I love so many notes here, the soft spicy and juicy opening that is then toned down by a fresh thyme, and it finally settles into a woody vanilla. This is not sweet but it’s not masculine at all. This is a perfect scent for a serious environment, where you want to capture just the right amount of attention. The classy bottle is lovely and longevity is 20/10, I can smell it all day

Bought the big bottle after falling in love with a sample and this perfume doesn’t disappoint! Works great with my skin chemistry, lasts literally all day, and every time I wear it I get a ton of compliments. It’s a safe everyday, very feminine scent which I think is fine for all seasons, however the cold months bring out a lot of the woody undertones in it while the warm months make it sweeter. Smells like a savvy chic woman in her 30s who’s got her life together so if you want to embrace that vibe i think this perfume would be perfect.

Boss Alive is one of my all-time favorite fragrances. There’s something so empowering and uplifting about it — a perfect balance between sweetness, warmth, and elegance. The fruity top notes draw you in with a soft sparkle, while the woody and vanilla base gives it depth and sensuality. It feels effortlessly feminine, modern, and confident — like a quiet kind of strength. I reach for it when I want to feel put-together and radiant. A true signature scent that never fails to lift my mood.

I really like this. It's a very easy, wearable, light daytime cinnamon scent. Definitely office friendly. When you want to be in a festive autumn mood but the weather doesn't permit bc it's way too hot outside still... Alive edp is what I grab 🥰 I've had this in my collection for at least 2 years now. Perfect for fall/winter in the south (US) I'm in TN & it's still up in the 80s here so far too warm to wear heavy fall scents but Alive edp was made for this imo ❤

I absolutely LOVE this scent. The opening is sharp, always makes me sneeze. I would also say the opening it fresh, gives the idea, that the fragrance would be fresh, but not at all! The dry down smells heavenly to me, edible. Kind of reminds me of a bakery of sorts? But not even that. It lasts long on clothes, unfortunately I didn't notice it project well or last too long. But for it's price - it's a beautiful scent. Would recommend to everyone.

Yesterday I received a sample from Notino. It has nothing to do with a masculine scent. It is a sweet perfume, the sillage is good and the projection as well. It has the same vibe as D&G The only one, Black Opium etc. It is a sweet perfume, gourmand ish, cozy, but it can be wear in the summer. I don't know what make you think is a man scent. This would be a good blind by for a sweet perfume lover. I will put it on my wish list.

This reminds me of my mother, in a good way! Don't get me wrong, this does NOT smell old at all!! It reminds me of her when I was a little girl, it makes me feel safe. I’d buy it in a heartbeat if it lasted longer than 30min on my skin.. such a shame If it does last on your skin, it’s an all-year-round fragrance that won’t offend anybody but isn’t (in my opinion ) something you’ve smelled before a thousand times.

This is fall in a bottle - the apple, plum, cinnamon, and vanilla are stunning! The opening is very fizzy to me, almost like a Coca Cola mixed with a gummy candy, and its addictive. Woodsy vanilla dry down. It is sweet, possibly due to the plum note, and not as spicy/masculine as I thought it was going to be. I haven't smelled GG as of yet, but this is great. Longevity and silage are also good!

Originally, when I first tried this I thought it was too masculine - it has that vibe and is quite strong, but once it settled I found the warmth of the cinnamon, plum and thyme enticing. My favourite time of year to use this is winter, and particularly around Christmas - I'm a sucker for cinnamon in a scent. It certainly only needs one or two sprays, otherwise it is overwhelming.

I love it ! I made a review earlier saying it wastoo heavy but i dont think so anymore. Its so delicious ! I recieved a sample a little package of a spray tester and im sooo sad its empty now its quite expensive so......it smells elegant and expensive /classy. Cinnamon note is not too heavy its just a little dust among with the jasmin in my opinion. Gotta have this!

I love this one! A pretty surprise from Hugo Boss, in my humble opinion. I ran out of my bottle of Hugo Boss The Scent Intense, maybe this one will be great for me, too. I can smell Cinnamon as well. Great for Autumn/Winter season. Day- time. Hopefully Santa will bring this one for me...

With quite a few fragrances in my collection this is by far my biggest compliment-getter to date. Esp. men loove this one. I can agree that it isn't the most unique scent. But.. I think it's absolutely beautiful, and so feminine! I hope more people will give her a chance.

This perfume is the daytime version of Good Girl, yes... It's a Good Girl without the notes of cocoa or coffee... However, the plum and vanilla give it a sexy look, without being heavy... I'm in love... It's perfect for everyday life and for signatures ♥️

This is a Beautiful scent. And call me crazy, but it has a similar dry down note as the Armani Code EDP (2024). Not that I think this is a masculine scent at all. But I really like this note, that is also found in the Armani.

I love the wearability of this perfume! Being a crowd pleaser makes it easy to use, not having to worry whether it’s offensive to others. It’s light and sweet, but it still has an impressive longevity!

I choose this one because of the woody notes but I don't find them to be somehow prominent. Vanilla is quite dominant here, but it's a great vanilla, more deep and spicy than tasty and edible.

I like this perfume and feel it's more for women, spillage is good and it's been on my dressing gown over 24 hours and I am still getting waffs of it. I like it and it's in my top 10 .

At first spray it reminds me of LibreYSL, but not as heavy but very close , i love the drydown of Jasmin! but Then again... to heavy for my taste

Lovely airy opening, I see why it’s called alive. Just a pleasant scent throughout, all the way to the dry down. Clean, perfect for hot summer.

Straight up Apple Jacks n Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal on me. apple-cinnamon-vanilla are the primary notes. Love it.

Alive is the first Hugo Boss scent that I've actually felt attracted to since Boss Orange, Hugo Woman and Boss The Scent For Her, not quite sure why but they just don't scream out at me to sample them. I remember when this launched and being very interested by the notes and the marketing, I love green apple but I'm not a fan of cinnamon (too many years of my parents buying cinnamon scented candles at Christmas * shudder *) and not long after it launched, the UK went into lockdown so I couldn't go and test it out and didnt want to risk blind buying it. I managed to finally sample and snag a bottle of Alive recently on a trip to Boots, pretty glad I did get some because its a scent I could see myself wearing a lot! The bottle suits the scent; its minimalistic but its the little details that make an impact such as the gold band which runs the edge of the bottle, the nice weighty glass and the satisfying click the lid makes when you put it back on. The scent itself isn't anything special or unique but its perfectly lovely and one of my favourite releases of the past two years, the opening is an intense fruity blast which almost veers into furniture polish territory but that quickly (thankfully) settles down to a green fresh apple and an airy vanilla, there is something though which does remind me of cacao in the background and it gives it a slightly more masculine skew but it works well and still retains its freshness. Alive is, to me at least, like three different scents in one bottle and by the 45 minute mark the apple settles down and I can smell thyme mixing with jasmine and the vanilla which exudes confidence and effortless elegance, thyme gives the jasmine a herbaceous freshness and the vanilla softens the edges to prevent the thyme from becoming too savoury and smelling like a bunch of thyme being used to season roast vegetables. once an hour or so has passed I'm left with the most gorgeous, sexy almost masculine woody/vanillic musk on my skin with some light fruity and floral notes every so often poking out just to remind me that they are there. Alive may not be anything new or groundbreaking but it is a lovely and well made scent which lends itself well to work, casual wear and for more formal events, its easy to reach for as well. I get a great longevity of 8 hours and a moderate silage which is enough to get some attention but not enough to intrude on anyone, this would work well from winter, to spring and fall, I will need to test it as the weather warms up though to see how the fruity notes and woods react to the heat, othwerise I can see it working year round. Would I repurchase? maybe I would, its a great scent and perfect for everyday wear and for work wear

The bottle is nice and heavy, points for that :) On the scent: Initially, I would describe the scent as "warm fruity", with a little sharpness in the beginning. I'm not very familiar with Good Girl so cannot say anything on that but at first I was reminded of YSL Libre. And also a tiny bit of Nomade by Chloe. I would describe Alive as a warm scent. A little bit like warm pie - sweetness, yes. But not sharp like LVEB. More in a natural way. The plum, cinnamon and apple notes are clearly there, but not fresh fruit - more a baked quality I'd say. It's been sitting on the back of my hand for an hour now and gradually turns more woody. I think that Olive tree and Thyme keep it a little aloof and out of gourmand territory. The vanilla is clearly there and to my nose creamy but not necessarily in a natural/realistic way. More like vanilla flavored pudding. Ok my description is all food and gourmand but trust me, at least to me, this is nowhere near the recent floral fruity gourmand releases. But I'm not sure if the description as "woody aromatic" fits the bill either. It's somewhere in-between I guess. For someone who has been using Flowerbomb etc. it sure might be. For someone who's been using Dune it's probably not. Verdict: Like! Will definitely put the sample to use :) Suspect that sillage and longevity are good.

Alive is a young fragrance, it reminds me of something I would happily wear in high school: an apple vanilla sweet scent, slightly deepened by a remote touch of spicy but sweet wood in the drydown, so that the scent doesn't fade away too quick. It's a nice, sunny scent, fun and light hearthed, lovely actually, and I can see kids loving to smell it. Personally, I kind of like it but not to the point of reaching for it in the morning. I feel like I've grown out of this notes, and even if I do not look for particular complexity nor for strange edgy scents, this is more girly than feminine, a bit too young and innocent to my taste. How did I end up with this? I received it as a birthday gift, after listening through the whole party to this guest describing the many wonderful niche fragrances offered in the place where they got my present, such as Nasomatto and Montale, that I own and love. When I opened the wrapping, I was kind of disappointed, which did not help. I took my time to try this fragrance on my skin multiple times, but now I have no other option than sell it. Please do not gift this fragrance to adult women, unless you're sure it's appreciated. Not a safe blind buy if you're over 25. Perfect gift for a teenage girl!

I actually think this is a more unique fragrance but because of the intense cinnamon smell. On my skin it smells like cinnamon and thyme with ceder and olive wood. Slightly reminiscent of libre but libre is lavender and this is distinctly cinnamon it's just because they are slightly herbal but sweet. I just brought libre but I slightly prefer this although it's more masculine. If you don't like libre you won't like this. This actually smells like the little cinnamon soaps you get in showers in Turkish hotels. I love this scent as it holds those memories for me. However, although I love the smell it is very strong and unisex. It also pulls very different on my friend so I think this is not a safe blind buy as it may well depend on your skin chemistry. The dry down on me is woodsy and a bit soapy. Not really an office safe scent. I could only wear it to quite specific places to be honest like the spa, a winter fair, a cocktail evening somewhere dark, a date. I probably wouldn't wear it to dinner as the cinnamon would clash with what I was eating as it's so strong. I would definitely not wear it in summer as in hot weather it would be cloying and I think the heat really changes the fragrance.

Alive is not a very original scent, but I like it. To me it has a lot of similarity with CH Good Girl and even more so with Good Girl Légère. Same feminine, creamy white florals mixed with androgynous woodsy notes, but lightened up and less sultry-sweet. I also get a hint of the washing powder-like freshness of YSL Libre in the opening, even though I wouldn't say that the overall scents are all that similar. Top it all off with fresh peaches (not plums) and a slice of apple-cinnamon cake with vanilla, and there you have it: Boss Alive. Hugo Boss usually makes pretty safe everyday scents that are quite popular with casual perfume users, at least here in Germany. This fits in nicely with their line-up, and I think it's one of their better releases, along with some of the The Scent flankers. It's warm, multilayered and gets better as it dries down, which is always a plus in my book. I wouldn't buy this for myself, but I can see it work nicely as a year-round, all-occasion signature on someone else. Maybe not on some unhinged perfume freak like me, but on someone with a smaller collection who hasn't got similar scents yet.

açıkçası alive designer parfüm dünyasında benim ilgimi çeken bir parfüm olmadı hiç ve eğer bir gün şans eseri testerını kullanmasaydım gidip alacağım bir parfümde olmazdı. normalde çok meyvemsi kokulardan hoşlanmayan biri olarak buna ilk kokladığımda aşık oldum. herkesin sevebileceği günlük olarak rahatlıkla tercih edilebilecek bir parfüm. tarçın, vanilya, erik ve elma notalarını çok net alıyorum, aynı zamanda odunsu olması, orta notalarında çiçek olması bu parfümü çok dengeli bir hale getiriliyor. parfümün içindeki her şey çok iyi şekilde harmanlanmış bence. fakat daha unique bir koku zevki olanlar için değil bence çünkü çok farklı bir koku değil ama tatlı gurme kokulardan hoşlanan herkes bence severek kullanır bunu. hareket ederken kokusunu çok net hissettiğim bir parfüm özellikle bir rüzgar estiğinde, ama bunu alırken satıcı tarafından her ne kadar çok kalıcı diye alınmaya teşvik edilsemde benim cildimde çok kalıcı olmadı, yenilemem gereken bir parfüm oldu. yaklaşık 2 saat içinde kokusunu alamıyorum maalesef ama kokusu dediğim gibi çok unique olmasa da mükemmel bence.

I was intrigued by Alive. Reading the reviews made me feel confused of how it smells like, and there are not many review videos on YouTube. Looking at the notes, I could not see why some people found it similar to YSL Libre (which I tried but decided to purchase Libre Intense instead). Alive was again a blind buy, and I am happy with it. Upon initial spray, I immediately understand its similarity with Libre - still cannot figure out which notes made it smell similar to Libre! On me Alive is quite vanillary and woody, I could pick up the fruity notes in the first 1-2 hours. It is less "dry" than Libre which I enjoy more. The dry down has a masculine edge on my skin (again, much less masculine than Libre) but it still has sufficient sweetness to make it feminine. Overall I quite like it, as it brings something new to my floral dominant perfume collection and it does not smell like all the other generic "fruity floral" perfumes. However, I do not find the name "Alive" befitting the overall vibe this perfume gives me, and the bottle design is pretty blah in my opinion.

I thought I was gonna love this perfume after seeing the notes. I am looking for a nice vanilla scent these days and I thought I found it, however, I just can't love it:( I admit that it is a pleasant, nice and safe scent but I just can't love it. It defo smells like something I've smelled before and there's a particular note I can't even identify that bothers me. Also, it's really hard to get the heart and bottom notes from this. I only get the fruity vanilla. When I first got this delivered from Sephora, I sprayed 3-4 times as I usually do, but it was way too strong. Good side is that the longevity is decent, but with my body chemistry I smelled like a jammy vanilla all day long. As I tried second time today with less sprays, it's way smoother, creamier vanilla with decent sillage. Overall, I like it but it's nothing new, and I might not buy it again although I love all the notes in it. I guess I have to go on a journey to find my vanilla perfume again.

Does anyone else think this smells very similar to Body Shop - Indian Night Jasmine? I couldn't get away from that when I wore it and it put me off because INJ smells so cheap. Anyway, the reviews here are so mixed, and mine is this, it's nice but kinda forgettable, no wow factor here. In fact, it's so pathetic on siliage you have to spray about 10/15 times to smell anything. I wore it last night, sprayed about 12 times and about 10 mins later asked my husband if he could smell my perfume, he asked me to come close (so he couldn't smell it then!) but even up close he said, hmm not really (up close, mind!!😠)I got an 80ml bottle for £60 in boots with £27 discount which was great, but I'm sorry, it isn't worth the £60 never mind 87! Saying all that, it is a nice smell and would suit as a year-round work perfume as its safe and not at all offensive.

This perfume caught me by surprise! Because of the marketing I always assumed that this fragrance would be one of those bright, happy scents, like a lightweight citrusy floral or something. I was shocked when I first smelled this because it immediately reminded me of Good Girl -- totally not what I was expecting. It's super spicy and warm (whole lot of cinnamon and vanilla!), more suitable for colder weather. And I for sure get the Libre comparison as well. Imagine if Good Girl and Libre were mixed together, that's what this smells like. Good Girl was a bit much for me, but I really like this one because it's much more lightweight than GG. This one doesn't project nearly as much, it sits pretty close to the skin the whole time (which I love). Despite not projecting a lot, it still has great longevity. Possibly a new fall/winter fave!

This fragrance smells very good to me, although the fact that it is nothing innovative seems undeniable. I suppose that, as we have been used lately in perfumes ordered by many fashion brands, Boss did not want to take risks. At the start there is a fruity vanilla, I specially feel the note of plum, pleasant but generic. Drying seems more interesting to me, a spicy and woody white floral aroma with a certain character but not new either since it is quite similar to Libre from YSL. In any case it seems to me that Annick Menardo has done a good job because the fragrance is pretty, all-rounder for day wear and very long-lasting but it is not a perfume that I would buy. Got this as a sample, and wasn't really fond of it as I wasn't so sure if I liked or didn't like the smell- which perplexed me. However, this scent definitely grows on you! I love how it's not overly floral and sweet, but is sweet and woody enough. I ended up buying the gift set with the lotion which smells really nice! Haven't been able to stop wearing the two since. Its definitely one I'd repurchase! I even tested it out on my friends stating idk y but I really like this, and they stayed silent but by the time I got home got a message asking what the perfume was called in the group chat. So yh it grows on you! I really do like it. I don't know if it's for everyone but I find it quite unique compared to other scents on the market. I like that it's got depth, and isn't a one dimensional scent.

The reviews are very polarizing, and I was eager to receive my bottle...Alive is interesting, at first it is juicy, then it is warmer, and powdery., the thyme pops up a bit, then disappears, leaving a warm soft trail....I personally like it a lot it reminds me a bit of Wanderlust ...now I don’t really find it magnetic or enticing..very .pleasant definitely...feminine, enveloping, not masculine at all in my opinion.and I don’t call it redundant at all....like it isn’t a new release that will move the crowds, but I like it...longevity is ok, although it doesn’t project tremendously..I like its complexity, and how one person will read it differently from the next..I see it more as a cool weather scent..happy to own it ..

Yes, Alive does resemble both Libre and Good Girl (just a little) but I much prefer Alive! Its sweetness is perfectly balanced! I don't find Alive generic or boring or anything, it's quite interesting and addictive. It's very sexy smelling, and I adore how this smells like apple marzipan! Just... how? Seriously! It's cinnamon apple pie with marzipan and vanilla! It does have a somewhat masculine drydown but it only lingers in my hair, which I don't mind too much. It's a beautiful gourmand fragrance that's not cloying. Alive is not extremely long lasting, I get 3-5 hours with moderate sillage. It does linger in the hair and on clothes very well. Maybe it will last longer in spring time. Men could easily wear this!

Alive reminds me very much of my high school years, filled with drugstore vanilla fragrances and attempts to make boring life more eventful. The vanilla-plum combination gives a bit of a play-dough feel background, I thought I picked up almond, but I guess it was just this combination. Other than that, it feels "dusty fruity", quite linear without much evolving. On clothes the staying power is decent, I spritzed some on my neck and my sweater still smelled of it two days later. Nevertheless it is not a groundbreaking perfume, like high school life - if it's boring, it's boring, no matter how hard you try... That said, it still deserved a "like" from me, because I can't say it's a "dislike".

Quite interesting, if I smelt this fragrance without any clues to indicate it's for women or men, I'll say that it is 100% for men!! To my nose, it's fresh, citrusy, woodsy. I didn't expect to find "black currant" in the notes, but when I saw it and smelt it again I can say I felt its existence in the background, but it doesn't add that sweet fruity touch to the scent, as it does in the si line. All in all, the fragrance is good for summer, it's not your typical summery, fruity, sweet scent, although it's indeed nice as a daily fragrance, to the gym, to the work.. etc. Updated: the dry-down becomes sweet and fruity; longevity is very good, and sillage is good as well.
