Boss Alive Intense

I got a sample of this and at first I didn't particularly like it, I mean it seemed okay, a sweet and pleasant scent, to me it it wasn't overly synthetic, but it didn't impress me much. However I had to grab some perfume quickly one day and I grabbed the sample and I was more than surprised to see how nice it developed on my skin and how long it lasted. 6 hours in and I still got a nice no overly sweet base. I also had a small spritz on a shirt and I could still smell it after a couple of days. I bought the full size thanks to the longevity - I also like raspberries, the note is not like the real deal, but it is beautiful.

I've ran through countless perfumes from niche to cheapies and I never thought I would fall for this one. It's a natural raspberry with such an addicting ambery base! I haven't smelled the original Alive yet, it took me a while to try out Alive Intense in store just when I passed by and it really took me by surprise. Yes it's slightly generic but I can pick it apart from other fragrances. I usually hate raspberry in fragrances like So Scandal because they tend to get so syrupy but this one is nice and airy while still having a vanilla-like base.

My wife bought Alive Intense some days ago, and asked me if liked it. I tried a spritz - and was surprising sold! A wonderful, fruity scent, after a while quite resembling Chanel Coco Noir, although a bit less dark. First maybe a little "girlish", but it developed and matured fully to a very pleasant classic, uncomplicated scent for all occasions. Can a adult man use it too? I think, yes. 10 minutes after its fruity introduction, it is perfect suited for me also, for days where I prefer something more exciting than my own perfumes.

Such an array of reviews, wow. I guess it is safe to say this isn't a blind buy option, as said opinions range from kiddie scent to deliciously elegant... As for me: a sample sold me on it and I still like it. The benzoin gives the juicy raspberry extra sweetness and a liquor like quality, the vetiver deepens, matures and offers a deep woody base to rest on. The scent is linear and I think - like pretty much 90% of all designer fragrance nowadays - it is overpriced. But that doesn't mean it is a waste of money if you can get a good deal (I got my 50ml for 39 bucks on Notino during a big sale). Be aware of the fact Alive Intense macerated after its first season is much sweeter, the Benzoin taking over together with the raspberry. The bottle suits even more then. It loses some of the vetiver, which is a shame. As a result it leans more ("as accepted") feminine and loses woodiness and depth. At least, that's the outcome in my home, on my skin. That particular skin is very dry and perfume eating, which means that projection/ sillage/longevity are always less on me than on others. Still, if you have dry skin it could be a similar experience. Alive Intense definitely doesn't fall into the beastmode category, but it isn't too bad. Compared to the rest of my collection (170+) it's an average performer. About 3-4hrs of decent, intermediate projection and a small scent bubble. You won't announce to the world you're coming, can't choke colleagues or fellow students out and as soon as you stand a way from a person Alive Intense does too. For this type of scent that's probably ideal. For some reason this fragrance is mentioned as a Fall/Winter perfume, but I wear her mostly in Spring, Summer and a bit in the Fall and then she goes back in the box, behind closed doors. I just think the performance and type scent as they are on me, do not suit months of perpetuate rain, storm and snow. Day, night: both can be done as well. My bottle is on 30% now, so I've definitely used it liberally and often - a layer with other, spicier, fragrances is nice as well. I'll absolutely finish it with a smile. Will I buy a new bottle afterwards....🤔 . Honestly: I'm not sure. I'm a huge anything-berry fan and I might spend my money on something else first. But... if there's another affordable deal going'round I might just jump on it!

With Alive Intense you get exactly what's promised: raspberry, vetiver and benzoin. It's sweet, feminine, warm and a bit spicy with a touch of vanilla. Quite strong with good longevity and sillage, so be careful with overspraying. It's a nice, simple perfume, would make for a good daily signature for colder climates. Personally, though, I don't think I'll have enough use for it to justify keeping it in my collection. On top of that, the bottle design's too minimalist, and since the scent doesn't give me the wow effect, either, the retail price's too high. 7/10

I have the OG Alive and love its woody and vanilla scent but this one gave me an instant headache!! Nothing like the og. Anyways, I pick up raspberries in the beginning but it is veryyyy sweet. I don’t know if I like it or not but I would say that this is not a safe blind buy. And its too expensive tbh. My boyfriend likes it though, he says that its very berry and yummy lol UPDATE Okay it kinda smells like Burberry her Intense , but like a more mature one and deeper. Like her auntie

The raspberry doesn't smell like a real raspberry, it smells more like raspberry flavouring, but I'm kind of enjoying it. I have a sample of this, as of right now I doubt that I'd want to buy a full bottle.

Amaretto is in the ingredients too but it's not on the list! To me it is similar to Al Haramain Junoon Rose and La Vie Est Belle Intensément.

The raspberry in this smells really natural and nice, sweet but not sugary, and paired with vetiver turns out really captivating. I can't agree that it's a generic perfume! I enjoyed the original Boss Alive (not that much to go for a full bottle but the sample I had was really enjoyable to use) and I think that Intense has much more character. However, the base note smells extremely synthetic, kind of like plastic to me, and, in my opinion, ruins the whole composition. Maybe I could enjoy it on someone else, but surely couldn't stand it on myself. Which is such a pity, for me this fragnance is a lost potential:(

First i got it as a sample, fell in love with it. The perfect blend of fresh and sweet...then i got the full size and boy let me tell you, it’s not great. Might be just me but the scent is SO overpowering and overwhelming i feel sick. Just one spritz and you smell like sour sweet raspberry for the rest of your day (that might sound like dream to some but i can’t do it). Don’t know what’s so different from the sample size but it became unbearable for me, it’s too sour and noticeable. If you like strong fruity scents this is for you.

I agree with the reviewer below - this is loud and synthetic. The raspberry and vetiver mix in the opening is a bit harsh, smells like nail polish remover imo, good thing it doesn't last long. The heart and base are heavy and sweet, I'd say I get more amber than benzoin - not bad but very generic. I don't get why this launched in the Summer (at least in the Northern hemisphere), as I'd never wear it in hot weather - it can get too much too quickly. Test before you buy!

I bought it a few days ago from the duty free after a long tyring trip and after semelling many other perfumes, this one has a thing. Till now i'm not overjoyed for having it but i don't hate it either. I guess i need to look more until i find the perfect new perfume and not rebuy one of my favourite old ones. The bottle is too simple, and a bit pricy Sillage is absent and longevity is weak.

I love the EDP version, so I was excited to get my hands on this. I was quite dissppointed to find that this one of the most generic perfume I have ever smelled. Not in a synthetic, overly sweet way but as a non-descript «grown-up woman» perfume.

The smell of the perfume is ok but it does not last long on me.

Got it at a 40% discount (brand new), still don't feel like it is worth the price. If your kid wants to get into perfumes you can get them this. (teach them not to overspray though) Words to describe this perfume: - Sweet - Generic/Basic - Cheap - Childish? scent Sweet, slightly sickening. It smells like the kind of sweet that comes from candy. When I spray this perfume all I can imagine is an 8th grader's first-ever perfume purchase that they will overspray like hell right before school. Everyone on the school bus will feel nauseous when they get on, but the smell will practically disappear by the 2nd period in school.

First time I tested I liked it, but ones I got it I started to realize that the raspberry note isn’t for me... I start to really hate raspberry notes in general. So Scandal jpg also doesn’t work for me due to this particular note that again at very first I didn’t perceive so bad. Now I’m excluding every fragrance that has raspberry somewhere in the pyramid. Anyway I have a full bottle 30ml for trade or sale only Germany

Already in my country. Not a fan of Boss anyways, so this didn't do it for me either. The whole Alive -line is way too boring and safe for me. I generally like raspberry in scents, but this just fell flat.

Quite a basic and boring perfume, i get raspberry and that it. Doesn't last long either. Im not one for giving bad reviews. This was a blind buy my partner bought for me.

Smells very generic sweet nondiscript women's perfume. Had absolutely no longevity on me and just smells cheap.

So, I totally fell head over heels for Alive Intense when I was traveling. I got a little whiff of it at the airport and once I sprayed some on, I just couldn't get it out of my head. It was my absolute biggest perfume crush for years! I've actually bought and used a few bottles since then, but things have changed. These days, I hardly ever reach out for it. Alive Intense is the reason why I'm such a fan of that juicy, natural raspberry scent, and also why I've had some truly awful blind buys with raspberry notes that were just artificial and flat, like toothpaste, not like this naturally juicy and warm one. When it's hot out, it actually starts to smell a bit sour, which kind of overwhelms all the other lovely bits of the perfume. Normally its dry-down is sweet and warm. So, these hot and humid days, it works way better for me if I just spray it on my clothes. Oh, and I also have the original Alive, but it ended up having pretty much the same fate on my shelf as I have been getting older (44) and discovering new parts of myself and going more likely for Libre-type of DNA these days. :)

I found this perfume while searching the closet thing to deep red by hogue boss that I had years ago. And I’ve fallen in love, with the fragrance and the packaging. The packaging is simple but yet classy and beautiful. And the fragrance itself is sweet kinda fruity. With the finishing touch of wood and vetiver which makes it (In my opinion) a unique and addictive fragrance. It is not to strong , but have great longevity and sillage. I do recommend trying especially if you are a into the rock star gf aesthetic or grunge aesthetic . *** Everything that I said is in my opinion. I have to say that longevity is absolutely Amazing! Can still smell it on my clothes after couple of days. Well that is the only good point about this fragrance. Alive Intense is too strong and quite masculine for women wearing it. Nothing special, boring. I would describe it as Bright Crystal Versace mixed with typical male perfume. Harsh and laud. Not my cup of tea.

Honestly, I don't understand so many reviews calling this scent generic. It's very difficult for me to find a perfume that doesn't give me a headache. At the same time, I don't have any allergic reactions to it. Wherever I go, everyone compliments it. You can still smell it on clothes even the next day.

This smells like a benzoin rich Lady million. Tacky, super sweet, not too warm, a bit synthetic. Loud. I can only imagine this scent being worn by a woman in her early to mid 20’s for clubbing, ideally in an open or well aired space. It’s got that kind of slightly forced sexy vibe.

I know, it is not so strong perfume as its name tells, but it is a nice fruity perfume with dominant raspberry accord. I like it in the summer, too.

I can't believe it's Hugo Boss. Smells like cheap body spary I can buy for my littlr niece, something named "Elza and Anna", for example.

I don't really get the hate. It's a lovely soft fragrance. Airy and light. Nothing special.
