Boss Bottled Beyond

This was a love at first sniff for me. I was given several samples to use in the meantime. I absolutely love it. Contrary to what the 'reminds' are above, what I get, is the OG Boss Bottled mixed with a light touch of Ganymede/Greenley/Bois Imperial & Mancera Amberful. And a touch of light suede leather. Now, ***it doesn't really smell like any of those too closely***, *but* especially in the opening I am reminded of that 'style' in a subtle way. It isn't a 'bright' opening, but it is excellent. I wish I could articulate it better. It is like a 'leather freshie that can work even in cool weather'. This stuff is fantastic. Absolu and Elixir are dark, broody, cold weather masterpieces. This is a light, mineralic, gingery aromatic with a much more wearable approach. It wears light. After Boss Bottled Bold Citrus (which was a 'miss', in my book), I'm excited to get a full-size bottle of this as soon as it is released. Damn this is good. Like Castley meets Boss Bottled. Whatever. You get my point I hope. Still testing the performance....I don't expect it to be a monster, but I do expect it to do better than the last release... Edit/Update: Performance seems about average for me, 3 to 5 hours or so with about an hour of decent projection. Fine by me, this stuff smells great! Edit/Update: Picked up a big bottle at Macy's during 15% off days. I know it will be way cheaper at discounters very soon but I just couldn't wait! Damn I love this stuff! Edit/update: Went back and bought the biggest size bottle as a backup. I cannot stop wearing this one. Very satisfying.

This is not what I expected . But it leaves room to make a really really good le Parfum or elixir or whatever would be a stronger flanker . I wasn't expecting this to be as zingy as it is. You get a nice prominent fizzy but not very spiced ginger up top. Very clean . As the fragrance sits the leather slowly and smoothly comes up . The leather never dominates which is what I was expecting from this. It's just a carrier for the ginger until the woods come up. Even the woods are light. I can totally see how people are saying it smells like cleaner because of the ginger but it's not like what you get from a heavy citrus fragrance like Eros energy or issey miyake . It keeps that ginger note with clean leather until it fades away. You don't get that much woods in my opinion . This is a masculine very clean fragrance. I like it a lot . If a heavy leather version of this comes out it would be a huge banger . It is very versatile but I feel it is best suited for spring. I would wear this year round. It would make a really good office/work scent. Performance is about average. 5 hours with a normal 5 spray application. Light sillage and low projection. I really like this . It's subtle clean masculine well put together easy to wear versatile. Once this hits discounters I'll most likely get a big bottle . 8/10

This release is underrated. The opening hits you with a prominent ginger fizz akin to ginger ale - which last on my skin for 20-30 minutes. The leather note is one of the best leather notes I've worn - it's not sweaty or heavy leather that you'd get from TF ombré leather or similar fragrances. It is office/close encounters-friendly due to the transition from the freshness of the ginger into this leather note. I can confidently say that it's non-offensive leather similar to new car leather interior. This note last about 1.5hrs on my skin. The base notes is nice and creamy but not too cloying. It is not too woody but more like soft vanilla - just the right amount of sweetness IMO. The longevity of this base is 12hrs++. I can still smell it the next day but it's not hard to wash off when you shower. Sillage is about arm's length (4-6 sprays) or more if you overspray. I'm beginning to think that the people that rate this negatively are gatekeeping this fragrance. I recommend this fragrance for people looking to buy beginner-friendly leather fragrances as some leather fragrances can be too animalic or body odor-like. It is moderately versatile for any occasions except for high heat or humidity.

This is not the place to go get solid information on a fragrance. I've heard this site is also called Trollgrantica and now I know why. I've seen people here crap on a fragrance that hasn't been released or people give bad ratings for the performance. I have no problem with this fragrance. Most fresh scents generally last 4 to 6 hours. Instead of complaining of performance issues, why not carry a decant and reapply? I don't claim to have the best nose, somehow I pick up vetiver in the base. This reminds me of Grey Vetiver. I like this scent a lot. It definitely will be in my office fragrance rotation. I will be buying a backup bottle soon. To anyone looking for advice on a fragrance, DO NOT go by what you read here! TRUST YOUR NOSE! If you like a scent, test it on your skin and then make your assesment from there. Don't waste your time reading any silly comments here!

Boss Bottled Beyond is one of those fragrances that just works for me on any occasion. What I love most is how fresh and clean it smells from the first spray—it has an uplifting, ginger note, with a little leather in the background that feels effortless to wear, whether it’s during the day, at work, or on a night out (although absolu is best for a cooler night out imo). It’s versatile enough to be an everyday fragrance, but still has enough character to stand out from the others in my collection. The biggest plus for me is the longevity—it easily lasts all day without needing to reapply. Fresh, classy, and reliable—definitely a fragrance I keep reaching for. I don't understand why anyone compares this to elixir or absolute, they are completely different and for different scenarios in my opinion (both of which are amazing scents!l
