I didn't like this fragrance when I first got it as a gift from my brother last year. But after letting it sit for a year, it seems to have matured a bit. Now, I'd say it's the kind of fragrance I can easily reach for when I don't want to think too much about what to wear. It opens with a fresh, citrusy lemon scent that smells natural rather than synthetic, which is a huge plus. Like many people have mentioned, though, the opening doesn't last very long - maybe around 30 minutes. After that, it dries down into a beautiful aromatic scent, which I honestly enjoy just as much. The projection is fairly soft in my experience, but that's something I expected from a fresh citrus fragrance that isn't particularly sweet, so I don't mind it at all. I keep catching myself smelling my clothes every time I wear it because it just smells that good. Overall, I'd give it a solid 4/5. I don't have a massive perfume collection - just a small one - so my opinion might not carry as much weight as others. Still, it's my honest experience with the fragrance.

I absolutely love this one! It opens with a super refreshing lemony citrus that isn't bracing at all but has a smooth effervescence with a touch of sweetness to keep it balanced. There's a woody base that's evident almost immediately and which becomes more prominent with time. The elemi gives it a unique resinous note that adds character without coming on so strong that it interferes with the fresh accord. In the dry down this leans into the woody vetiver with a lingering earthy elemi, but you can still pick up subtle citrusy notes if you smell it up close. The longevity here is okay for a citrus-heavy scent but don't expect a lot of sillage. I have a couple of other Boss freshies that I really like (Hugo Reversed and Boss Bottled Unlimited), but this one comes across as the most mature and classy thanks to the more restrained sweetness. This one is a limited edition that's become more scarce on discounter sites and I'm glad I grabbed a bottle. Awesome stuff!

Extremely surprised with this one, especially for the discounted price I paid. I'm usually not a huge citrus fan, especially not the bitter type and Bold Citrus is one of the best examples of what I like in citrus. It's super juicy in the opening, tart but not bitter, with a sweet tinge that makes you crave more (and urges you to spray more haha). It's so lovely, the elemi which I'm guessing helps with that sweet tinge really does a great job of balancing the citrus and transitioning into the earthier base. It stays very pleasant throughout the wear. Obviously, citrus doesn't last that long but that's to be expected. Still, one of my favorite citrus fragrances of the last few years and once again, the Bottled line hits a homerun. Fantastic stuff for the summer, super refreshing and easy office wear, you'll get nothing but compliments for this one.

An absolutely stunning citrus fragrance. It opens with a sharp lemon and bergamot note that has real bite. The bergamot is really the star here. The opening is extremely fresh and energizing, then it dries down into light spice, creamy patchouli, and soft woods, with a lingering trace of those bright citrus elements. It smells similar to Eros Energy, but Energy leans much harder into lemon, while this one puts the focus on bergamot. The woods in the drydown of Energy are a bit different as well, but I can't quite explain it other than that. I really like Eros Energy as well, FWIW. But I would say that having both is a bit redundant. Performance is solid, which is fine for this type of scent. I love it and I’m glad to have it in my collection. This could easily become my daily driver during the warmer parts of spring and summer.

This is really nice. I have two more bottles on the way. It's citrus heavy in the opening. I can understand why some are comparing it to Eros Energy ( which I have) which is a citrus bomb. It goes in a different direction from EE as it goes into mid notes and base quicker. EE stays zingy much longer. I get 7 to 8 hours of performance verus the 6 hours I get from EE. This is a limited edition release from Boss. If you know Iike I do, Boss doesn't play around when they say limited edition. This will be gone in several months and will be hard to find just like Boss Bottled Pacific which is now selling for ridicuous prices on EBay. My advice is to get this scent and if you don't like it, hold on to it until it’s unavailable and get your money back and more.

My wife loves this stuff on me. It's nothing niche, the typical mass-appealing fare, prototypical of a designer fragrance. So if you're a seasoned nose and only into unique and off-the-wall scents, Bold Citrus will not interest you. But I also don't think anyone buys Hugo Boss thinking it's niche. To me, Bold Citrus smells like a nice blend of LV Imagination, LV Afternoon Swim and Sospiro Vibrato -- Citrus, with a baseline of muskiness (from the patchouli and elemi resin, I assume). An easy dumb reach, safe blind buy and full bottle worthy. If you want something that will please most around you, this is a good option.

I was able to smell this one today and I loved it. It seemed very familiar to me with the very realistic rindy citrus right off the top. After thinking about it for a while I was able to place it. This smells similar to Hermes Eau de Citron Noir. Maybe with a little bit more depth with the elemi and patchouli. The citrus becomes much more faint after a couple hours whereas Eau de Citron Noir lasts throughout but this might be due to the fact that eau de citron noir is essentially undetectable after a few hours of wear. Bold Citrus lasts long and changes more throughout the life of the wear.

Picked this up a handful of months ago and actually just wore it for the first time, has a decent little dent in in from purely spraying it and smelling at home😂 200ml for $85 and they had only one so I snagged it, complete blind but a win for sure. At first it was very limey and lasted maybe 4 hours as a skin scent after the first hour or so of decent projection but as those handful of months went by it now smells limey still but with a bit of Smokey wood too and I love it even more for that, I honestly thing the longevity/projection is a bit better as well. 8/10.

This is a surprisingly beautiful flanker. It's not very original but it does smell great. Very safe, very versatile, rich and masculine. The vetiver blends with the citruses very smoothly, and the elemi gives this a slight warmth to balance everything out. I get a woody aspect as well, though there are no woods as listed notes. To me this belongs in the same family as Creed Aventus. As i said, nothing revolutionary, but it's a well-blended scent and I quite love it. 8.5/10

Good but not great. Perfect fragrance for summer but not a long lasting or big projecting fragrance. Reminds me a a bit of Dior Homme Cologne, Versace Eros Energy, Goldfield and Banks Bohemian Lime... along those lines. This is a limited edition and Boss LE’s are really LE’s, so buy soon if you like this one as it will disappear quick and sell for stupid money aftermarket. If the discounters get this, I may add a second bottle. Perfect dumb reach for warm weather.

This is a beautiful scent with a mouth-watering juicy citrus opening to die for. I don't understand the negative reaction this is getting for performance issues. The tester card I sprayed several days ago is still smelling quite wonderful. On my skin this performs as well as I’d expect, and I can easily detect the scent trail for hours. Whenever I need a pick-me-up this Winter, I’ll be giving this one a spritz. 😊

A blast of realistic peeled citrus in the opening, then the strong citrus smooths out with a slight floral scent and an earthy aromatic backbone. I was able to test this at my MCX on base and I was surprised to see it there. Sprayed it 3 times in one spot and was still able to smell it in the morning, I think this is a fantastic summer time Boss Flanker. Hugo Boss has been releasing some bangers lately 🔥

Tested it in a store on a strip , it's better than YSL Y EDP, better than Dylan Blue EDP, better than Versace Pour Homme, and better than YSL Y L’Elixir. I could never find a summer/spring fragrance I actually enjoy because they all smell like cleaning products to me and feel very basic, but this one is actually good. I might cop once the price goes down.

To me this is THE best boss bottled. So love this, it's citrusy and woody. Has the boss bottled DNA, but high on citrus. It's masculine too. I'm sure I read somewhere limited edition, I hope that's not the case. Let's put it this way i stocked up, that's how good it is. On my skin has great longevity and projects well too. Highly recommended.

The juice is beautiful but it doesn’t last long enough to enjoy. I think the name Bold Citrus is a misnomer. You really need to overspray to have any chance of it lasting more than 3-4 hours. It helps slightly if you also apply to clothing. I suppose it is a good thing that I purchased the 200ml. ̄_(ツ)_/ ̄

Got a great deal for this and I'm astonished it hastn gotten more attention. Like a mish mash of the Bottled base and an Aventus like smell. It's alluring and intoxicating. It's fantastic and I wish it wasn't a limited run. Highly recommend checking it out. Could be my daily driver easily

There are some perfumes that you have in your car, in your office, you spray them on and don't expect much, this one is like that. Very nice scent, bad performance, I liked it but I do not prefer to buy low performance scents.

Simple and straightforward no BS fragrance. Smells 100% masculine and perfect for warmer days. I just wish it performed a little better. For a so called "bold" perfume it definitely lacks some projection and longevity.

Nice citrus burst for the first 10 minutes, then transitions into a green like aromatic base. The dry down is close to Y EDP Intense imo. I get about 5-6 Hours of Longevity. Personally I love it 9/10.

Citrus forward with a clean woody dry down. The citrus is present throughout the duration of the scent. Great longevity moderate sillage. Definitely more interesting than Prada Paradigme.

Delicious fresh but also nicely warming fragrance. Patchouli really grounds the sparkling freshness of this fragrance💫 Really love its sparkly nature and warmth it gives off.

Sampled this one and it is quite nice manly no BS fragrance. Aromatic, slightly resinous, Citrus with the woods from the OG. Cheers to simplicity

Smells more like aventus than eros energy, less limey more smokey. A summer banger for sure.

HUGO BOSS Bold Citrus is a very fresh, easy-to-wear fragrance with a clean and uplifting character. The opening is dominated by bright citrus notes, which are immediately noticeable and give the scent a sharp, energetic freshness. After a short while, the citrus tones begin to fade, and the fragrance settles into something slightly piney, green, and grassy, with a soft lemon or lemongrass-like nuance in the background. What makes this fragrance appealing is how versatile and effortless it feels. It smells classy and well-groomed, but never too serious or overdressed. It is the kind of scent you can wear almost anywhere without worrying that it might be too much. In that sense, it is a true safe buy for spring and summer, especially for someone who wants to smell fresh, elegant, and approachable without offending anyone. That said, I would not expect the longevity to be on the same level as denser, heavier Eau de Parfums. The performance feels lighter, which fits the style of the fragrance, and the projection is rather intimate than loud. It stays close to the skin and creates a pleasant personal scent bubble instead of filling the room. For some people that will actually be a plus, especially if they prefer subtle and non-intrusive fragrances. I bought it for €70, and at that price I think it is a very good purchase. At full retail, however, I would probably start considering whether there are better alternatives in the same category. Still, if you can find it at a discount, it is an easy recommendation.

So I got a 200 ml bottle recently for a really good price, around £76. On skin, the amazing photo-realistic citrus opening I mentioned in my first impressions comes across a bit differently. On me, BB Bold Citrus smells more like a fizzy lime soda, maybe there's some ginger and/or aldehydes giving this effervescent effect, with hints of juicy lemon and mandarin orange.. There is also a touch of geranium, which is short-lived, giving the opening a fresher undertone. On a tester strip or shirt, the citrus opening is more like a bowl of cut-up juicy limes, lemons, and mandarin orange (see my first impressions). The main letdown is longevity. Thankfully, I’ve got a big 200 ml bottle, so I can shower myself in it —like 16 sprays. I’ve also been experimenting to make it last longer. One technique that works: spraying inside your shirt just before putting it on, then outside as well. On skin, it’s tough to extend; Iso-E Super body lotion as a primer helps a little, maybe 30–60 minutes extra. As for the smell, I’ve described the opening, but there isn’t much of a mid-section dry down. It goes from opening straight to the latter dry down, which is more intimate; you mostly get elemi resin, patchouli, and vetiver, in that order. Longevity: 3–4+ hours on skin, 5–6 on shirt Projection: 1 hour of moderate projection before becoming intimate for the rest of its life on skin Overall: 7.7 / 10 — This fragrance is all about the treble (amazing lime soda) with just a hint of mid and bass.

I tried this in a store today. These are my first impressions from smelling it on a tester strip... The opening is similar to Eros Energy, but I’d say it’s even better. Each citrus note comes through more clearly and smells more defined, more photo-realistic. It reminds me of Eros Energy, but it isn't exactly the same. The comparison may be due to both fragrances using what seem to be newer synthetics and advances in citrus aroma molecules. Older citrus fragrances often smelled like actual juice from lemons, oranges, or limes—sharp, thin, and watery, just like when the fruit is cut or squeezed. These modern citrus notes, used here and in Eros Energy, feel almost three-dimensional. They don’t just smell juicy and sweet; they also carry the bitter, zesty quality of citrus rinds. It’s a fuller, more realistic effect that blends scent and taste. The citrus opening in this fragrance is the best I’ve experienced so far from both designer and niche fragrances: a bright, juicy burst of lemon, mandarin orange, and grapefruit, with just the right mix of sweetness and rindiness. As it dries, I pick up a base similar to Boss Bottled Unlimited. I’m surprised more people haven’t pointed out that DNA under the citrus top because it’s definitely there. I love Unlimited, so this already feels like a winner. As always, I won’t score it or do a full review until I own a bottle and have worn it several times—so, to be continued...

Starting this review by stating that I am a female that loves this line, Boss Bottled, especially the last two releases, were spectacular!! I even purchased two bottles for some male friends for their birthdays. But Boss Bottled Bold Citrus is not a favourite for me. If you like your lemon fragrance on the astringent side, then this edition is for you. It’s not the worst offender when it comes to a sharp, sour lemon formulation, and the bergamot and the resins helps a bit softening the sharp edges, but it’s not that smooth, photorealistic lemon that you can get in perfumes from brands like Xerjoff, Aqua di Parma, Goldfield&Banks, or even the last release from Versace. I might be slightly biased because I am a big fan of Italian perfumery, but nonetheless, I don’t love Bold Citrus disregarding the gender it targets. The performance is top notch, as it was with the previous releases from the line and it’s quite difficult to get a natural smelling citrus forward scent. From the longevity and projection perspective, I love Boss Bottled Bold Citrus! I am not bashing this release but when there’s better scents on the market, why settle for something average???

As mentioned below this is a simple fragrance and it's straight to the point . But it's nothing to overlook. The quality is absolutely there and it is made in a masculine way. As the name says this is a bold citrus scent . So you get that initial blast of citrus oil . It's super clean and strong citrus but it's not sour on the nose or sweet. It's slightly bitter. It then gets a little green before it eventually mixes with the base notes. The light hints of the patchouli with the vetiver throughout give it that masculine tone . It also does a great job keeping the citrus notes throughout. It has pretty decent performance as well. 3 hours later it was still noticeable on my skin. It doesn't become a close skin scent until about 5 hours which in my book is really good for a citrus heavy fragrance. A 10ml decant of this lasted me longer than most citrus based fragrances last me. This reminds me a bit of Hermes citron noir except no smoke. While not ground breaking it's a good fragrance and does exactly what you would expect from a Hugo Boss fragrance. I'm giving this a solid 7/10 and almost a sure purchase for me down the road.

I think it's a good launch, and since it's a limited-edition fragrance, those who want it should probably get it before it's no longer available. But I don't recommend buying it blindly. Try it first and then decide whether to buy it or not.

I really like this fragrance, but unfortunately, it’s not quite special enough — hear me out while I contradict myself. The citrus top notes and the dry-down are genuinely beautiful, but if we're being pedantic, they can come off as a little boring. The classic Hugo Boss DNA is definitely present, which gives it a boost — it feels better than it might actually be. At its core, this is a simple citrus scent, elevated slightly by the Boss branding. It doesn’t project very well and the longevity on my skin is disappointing — I find myself needing to reapply throughout the day. That said, it is a beautiful fragrance. It smells less synthetic than many citrus scents I’ve come across recently, and when it is detectable on the skin, it’s luscious — more of an intimate, close-up scent. It’s not groundbreaking, and it’s a shame it comes with such a high price tag, especially considering the poor sillage. Still, it's very much my kind of summer fragrance.

I'm not usually a fan of summer fragrances as I live in a very cold environment, this one however is probably one of the best summer citrus fragrances I know. YES it is kinda boring but most citrus fragrances are, the citrus notes are perfect and last pretty good compared to other citrus fragrances, however I do agree with everyone else that this isn't a "beast mode" type of strong, long lasting heavy fragrance. At its core the bottled bold citrus is s really fresh nice scent that goes with everything, for me the price is bit much but I got the bottle as a gift and I really do like it and will be my go to summer fragrance to keep me smelling fresh, overall really nice addition to my collection and if you don't mind paying the bit of an price it's definitely worth picking up, that being said if your on a budget you should skip this one

Everyone is mentioning it as a cheapie or a price drop. It's a limited edition release, so get it while you can. Right now not sold Honestly just feels like lemon and vetiver with a hint of sweetness For price and the fact that it's limited, not sold on it. After wearing it on one wrist and Hermes EDT on the other, it's like a less alluring Hermes. Drydown has a subtle, powdery scent. Honestly, I want this just because it's a limited release, but if you were thinking this was akin to their last few bottled releases and very "niche" smelling, it's not. I'm kind of disappointed with how safe they chose to go with this scent. Perhaps I'll give it another try sometime when it's not as cold here, but as of right now, it's overhyped and very safe compared to their last five releases.

Well, Boss proved themselves as a top designer over the releases from past few years. This is a very good fragrance as well, but at the same time I am a bit dissapointed. It's high quality citrus with a mild, slightly smoky vetiver drydown. Kind of fragrance you will wear when you are watching Sunset in Summer with shorts and shirts. Patchouli and Geranium are nearly undetectable by my nose, but it is not a big loss. The problem with this fragrance is the ''originality''. This reminded me heavily of Terre d' Hermes and Louis Vuitton fragrances. It is not a clone or something, but I was expecting something more unique from the brand because of their own success. Performance is Modarate but sufficient for high heat, price is expensive for what you get (in my country, at least).

First of all, I like the Hugo Boss line. Hugo Boss "Just Different" was the cologne that started me on my fragrance addiction a few years ago. I have Hugo Reversed (love), Hugo Reflective, Hugo Man, Hugo Iced, and a few other Boss Bottled fragrances. I tested Bold Citrus on skin yesterday at Sephora. I gave it 3 good sprays on the back of my hand. Nice bright citrus opening then becomes more minty & woody. If you've smelled other Hugo Boss colognes this will remind you of a few of them mashed up together. It's a nice scent and if I find it at discounters I will pick it up, but it's nothing ground breaking or a "must have." Longevity on my skin was above average and the green gradient bottle looks really nice in person.

While I typically maintain a limited selection of designer fragrances in my collection, Boss Bottled Bold Citrus has earned a permanent place.

On paper, this smelled amazing.....but on skin. It just is "ok". To me this feels like zingy green mandarin, geranium and vetiver (the earthy smokey Vetiver has a phenolic oakmoss vibe). Those 3 stand out the most to me. This is BOSS's answer to Versace Eros Energy. Same vibe.....but replace Energy's candied lemon with this "citrus concoction" that BOSS made up .....and that's the only major difference. They both kinda lean on the fence of that Creed Aventus structure tone but with overdone super crisp citrus tops. I'm kinda over it at this point. All frags are starting to smell the same. We need a new ground breaking moment to save us.

Definitely a mix between Coach green and eros energy... this stuff is really really good. I hate eros energy because it smells pretty synthetic fake and like plastic but Bold citrus has good quality citrus and smells realistic, the opening I actually got the same smell as chanel edimbourg and biarritz the same quality citrus that chanel use. Now chanel are known for the best quality citrus and this stuff matches the quality of chanel easily but chanel obviously have this airy quality to their fragrances which gives it a classy vibe and this tends to dry down a little more generic and less classy.

Tried on skin. Opening is delicious, super citrus as one would expect. I started to dislike it as it developed over 20 minutes, just smells like lemon. Smelt an hour later and the dry down smells very similar to LV L'Immensité! Which I am a big fan of. Thought I was crazy but looked at the reviews here and glad to see im not the only one. Not sure of the performance as I showered before seeing how long it lasts. Great smell overall but not sure If I could get used to how intense the lemon is in the opening. Not blind buy friendly but one I recommend trying!

Wish the citrus opening lasted longer. It gets aromatic pretty quick, and it is a good base, but it’s unremarkable. It is good, citrus doesn’t last much, but it smells good. It’s unlikely you need this if you already own a hot day/gym scent. Don’t buy this at retail, but for a good discount it’s nice.

10/10 smell, 0/10 performance. Sprayed it 3 times on my hand and can’t “find it” 10 mins later. Longevity and performance similar to a strong shower gel that you take a shower with, smell it faintly for 5-10 mins and then it’s gone. I don’t understand why even make this.
