In the heart, patchouli appears earthy and elegant, balanced by vetiver, which brings a dry, woody, and masculine side. Okay so I got this a while back probably late 2024, early 2025 and I liked it, but didn’t love it, leaving on my shelf and hardly wearing it. Now I’m realizing this fragrance is something that you have to be patient with, or maybe it’s patient with you if that makes sense. The fragrance hasn’t changed much as in macerating or anything, that’s not what I’m saying. I’m saying this fragrance waits for you to change for it. This is a patient fragrance. It takes time to appreciate. This fragrance is like an old friend that you got in an argument with a while back, and haven’t talked to them in ages. Then, when you finally realize you were in the wrong, the friend is gracious and unchanging, he was simply waiting on your return. He didn’t care about the mistake you made, but rather he was waiting for you to realize you had made a mistake and come back to enjoy time together once again. As for the actual fragrance, it’s such a non-designer designer fragrance, it smells niche. It doesn’t follow the cookie cutter mold of usual designers, trying to be liked by a mass majority. That’s not to say people won’t like you wearing it, it’s just not a simple freshy/vanilla scent. It smells like a Christmas tree in a giant cathedral where it’s warm and cozy inside, a safe haven from the cold winter outside. This smells like the distant, foggy childhood memory of Christmas at your grandma’s house. It is not the sweet gourmand you would expect from that depiction, but rather the scent of the fragrance is the scent of childhood fall/winter memories itself. I wish I could put this into words. If you know what I mean, you know what I mean. Dark, distant, warm, almost like the fragrance is the very essence of replaying distant Christmas time memories, which get foggier every year. This is a near masterpiece in my book.

This is one I had to blind buy and after ordering I randomly found it at Macy's to test. It definitely smells different on a test strip . On the test strip to me it was more smokey incense and slightly fresh. Once I got it it was different. It's good. It smells like a niche fragrance. On the skin in the opening it's more warm spiced you get plenty of frankincense cardamom labdanum and patchouli. I hate patchouli but it's not a pungent star of the show patchouli. As the warm spices continued to develop I was afraid that it was going to start leaning Christmas candle. It thankfully does not. It mellows that out and the labdanum and cedar come forward. None of the notes explode but they all melt together nicely that it creates a super masculine, incense, oriental amber. It's not similar to Sauvage elixir but you do catch where they kinda meet. Also on skin when your body warms up I find that the labdanum gets stronger. I really do like this. It's different. This is not blind buy safe . This is for someone that is really into fragrances This isn't something to wear to the gym or to run a quick errand in comfy clothes or even just casual . Performance, this will make you go nose blind. It's not crazy beast mode as I expected but it's still pretty strong . For a regular wear 4 sprays is fine. 2 on neck 2 on shirt. I got a good 8 hours. For work I sprayed it twice on my shirt. That was good for 2 hours projecting and 3 more close. I really like this. It's niche quality for about $80. It will stand out in a sea of blue fragrances and Baccarats . Super masculine yet smooth . The one thing I would have liked is if they added an apple note. Slightly more depth and to tie it into the og boss Bottled. I give this an 8/10

I spent a week in Mexico City. As I was touring around and enjoying all the city had to offer I kept running into this really unique sent. It would stop me in my tracks and I would immediately look around trying to figure out which person in the crowd was wearing it. I smelled it in museums. I smelled it on the corner taco stand. I smelled it in five star Michelin restaurants. It was clearly very popular in Mexico City and I absolutely loved it. I had no idea what it was until a few weeks ago. I’ve had boss fragrances in the past and they were never really high-quality or impressive. On a whim I sampled this bottle at a Macy’s counter. I was instantly taken back to my Mexico City trip. It took all my willpower not to overpay for the bottle right on the spot. I did not hesitate to find it on Joma. The scent is very unique and strong. It projects very well for 4 to 5 hours. As I sit here writing this review I can still smell it on my skin 16 hours later. If you don’t mind your scent standing out and projecting into a room this is definitely one to check out. If you prefer a more intimate and close scent that is not intrusive into other people’s space, this is probably a pass for you. I have been wearing it this summer and have received plenty of compliments. I’m in Southern California and have only smelled it on one other person. I was at a beach bonfire last night and the gentle sea breeze was casting this beauty across the fire and turning heads. Stay spicy out there!

I own both Boss Bottled Elixir and Boss Bottled Absolu, and for me Elixir is the clear winner. I honestly don’t understand why people consider Absolu more versatile than Elixir — to me, that’s far from the truth. Elixir’s opening can feel quite strong when the bottle is new, but once it’s had time to macerate it develops into something far more elegant, unique, and playful, while still carrying that classic Boss DNA. In fact, after carefully observing it over time, I’d say it only gets better and more sophisticated the longer it macerates. On top of that, Elixir has this amazing bubblegum-like vibe while still being unapologetically masculine — and honestly, no one else is doing it like that. The performance is beastly yet refined, which makes it incredibly versatile in my eyes. Absolu does open beautifully — smooth, niche-quality, and inviting — but very quickly it turns into a smoky, Arabian oud-style fragrance. That shift really put me off, and I even found it leaning slightly feminine, which was disappointing. And there’s a reason why many female reviewers appreciate Absolu: it’s because it’s the kind of scent they could see themselves wearing. Elixir, on the other hand, is masculine, mysterious, and consistently enjoyable. Only a real man would wear Elixir — and if I had to choose, it’s the only one I’d ever repurchase.

Here i am, tried 3 Boss Bottled Elixir, Absolu, and Triumph Elixir on my skin and test paper at the mall for 2 hours. iam in Indonesia btw Even the mall got air conditioning but walking in the mall for 2hrs makes the scent of all these 3 scents reaction different on the skin vs Paper strip. My most Favorite from those 3 is Elixir, followed by Triumph and the Last is Absolu, all of 3 got polarizing scent profiles and very challenging at first, but at the dry down those 3 are very different. Absolu seems strongest because of the high dose of sweetness, at paper seems okay but on skin damn it became Sweet sticky sweat, very bad, only works in Winter and Fall but sadly Indonesia only got Humid Hot and Warm Spring weather only. Triumph Got the freshest of the 3, and actually it give me remind of Farenheit Le Parfum in those realm of scent, the vetiver patchouli in here give it a fresher touch and a tiny bit “wet” but also powdery. Elixir here makes me falling, it’s also challenging scent and reminds me of Noir Ambre by Issey Miyake realm, but the drydown Very lovely , it gives me Dry Spice, dry Woody a bit Warm(Powdery Effect), very less sweet, but there’s tiny hint of minty fresh. Finally i bought the Elixir, 50ml more than enough because this fragrance will be rarely to be used.

SPICY,WOODY, AND CAPTIVATINGLY CREAMY🌶🪵🍦 I didn't expect to enjoy Boss Bottled Elixers take on the middle eastern style of Fragrances as much as I have been, but Im finding myself pulling the trigger on this Spicy delicacy of a cologne the more often then I'd ever expect It might sound odd given the notes listed, but Boss Bottled Elixer, to my Nose, is almost a Gormand Fragrance. Im getting the most luxurious creamy Masala Chai Milk Tea I've ever experienced in Fragrance form I believe that this may be due to the blending of the frankincense and Cardamom creating this Spicy Cinnamon-esque topping on a Smokey Woody base of cedar and Vetiver. The labdumum has this Ambery Creamy aspect that almost Resembles Vanilla Bean Ice cream or Full fat Whole milk. Being that this is an Elixer strength fragrance ,i was pleased to see that the general rule of two sprays for 10 hours of Projection applied here as well, and much longer when sprayed on clothing. Boss Bottled Elixer Should be worn during the fall and winter but I'd be guilty to say that I don't pull the trigger in Summer and spring myself for those special nights🤣. Memorability/Uniqueness 12/10 Longevity 10/10 Silliage 10/10 Overall 10/10

Brilliant! I received this cologne as a Christmas Gift. It took me a few hours when wearing it for the first time to start to like it. Today, after wearing it several times, I can say that Boss Bottled Elixir is one of the best 'dark' colognes today. The Frankincense and the Cardamom set this scent apart from other 'dark' vetiver scents. It just works. There is a hint of sweetness but it does not overtake the darker, musky tones. As you walk by others, they won't confuse you with someone wearing a fruity vanilla bomb. (Although I must confess, I love those too). The other great benefit of this cologne is its uniqueness. I own many colognes and have a large regular rotation - I don't have anything close to the scent of Boss Bottled Elixir. It stands apart; it's fresh and new, but it also reminds me of times long ago (I think it is the Frankincense). One of my favorite colognes for the Holidays over the past 20 years has been Burberry London, but this one will be the cologne I will now wear the most often in November through the End of the Year. February might be the latest this scent can be worn in my location. This scent feels like it would be a bad idea in the warm weather.

Oh yeah, this one is my latest blind bought fragrance, and I just love it. Smoky, Incensey, sweet, woody, smooth, masculine, very strong and powerful projection, or some people would say a nuclear performance. Sprayed on my arms last night at 8pm, still can smell the whiff of it this morning at 8am. And of course, still can smell it on my clothes, right now at 8pm. Awesome perfume, a very good 12+ hours of longevity, exceptional projection, room filler, I had a colleague who work with me last night said she can smell me from 15 feet / 4.5 meters away when I was approaching the lab she was working in. This is my kind of scent, and I just really love it, anyone else who would like to buy this, I would recommend trying it first before purchasing. See if you would like it or not cause this one is very potent and not for everyone. I live in a hot humid country, summer all year round, but I work under air-conditioning environment, so it is fine. I would love to get the Boss Bottled Absolu next because this one is already brilliant. 1000/10 from Hugo Boss.

I had no expectations for this fragrance going into it, I had tried some of the Hugo Boss Fragrances before, and I found them to be just Okay. Until I tried this one. I was blown away with this fragrance. I think it is absolutely fantastic. Woody, sweet, ambery, resinous and addictive. I usually dislike super sweet fragrances but this has just the perfect amount, while still being masculine. I sprayed this on my glove at a Sephora, at Union Station In Toronto, ON. It was middle of January, and probably -20 degrees Celsius. For hours, we were lost, wandering the streets of Toronto- and the entire time, Boss Bottled Elixir was projecting like a mf off my left hand. That what this reminds me of. It is now nearly July of the same year, and that glove, after washing it, still smells like it! so ya, monster performer as well. This stuff is remarkable, and (for me) is a top 5 designer fragrance oat. I definitely will pick up a bottle in the future. Hugo Boss delivered with this one. 9/10

This fragrance is right in my wheelhouse. It was love at first smell and can really be called 'niche quality' when it comes to the notes and how they're blended... unfortunately, the bottle cap and the sprayer are of cheap quality. This has a fizzy cola note that just works so well. Parallels with Sauvage Elixir are not entirely inaccurate as the heft to woody notes is similar in both..the Dior takes more spicy route and Boss a more resinous route from there. I also own Boss Bottled Absolu, and while I love them both, I'm in the minority where I prefer this a bit more. The cola vibe here gives it the edge for me, while absolu is more incense and patchouli. I'm so glad such fragrances are still coming out when everyone seems to be looking at vanilla, caramel as base with all brands churning out fragrances that are all so similar that it makes you wonder where the creativity has gone. This is a 9/10 for me..can't give it a perfect score with the ridiculous sprayer

the incense and general profile here actually reminds me a lot of Amouage Interlude Man - as someone who loves Interlude, I can honestly say that Boss Bottled Elixir is a better fragrance. unlike Interlude, which leans heavily into a herbal incense that can be sickly, Bottled Elixir balances all of the headiness of dark incense and spicy cardamon with smooth and very clean vetiver and cedar. it's black tie level of sophisticated and classy. somehow, a fragrance that is equally dense and aerated. a lot of other people have said it but it's totally accurate - a dude with his life together. confidence in a bottle, and not the fake kind. real confidence, because there's that dark, dirty edge, the patchouli shining through. complete mastery of this genre of perfume. and! it comes out surprisingly blue for the first five minutes, which is a fun bonus, and definitely separates it from other incense fragrances. one of my favourite full bottles. very glad I own this.

A couple weeks ago an older gentleman came into our shop asking for help with his current tarrif package, and while I was questioning him on what we can help him with, and if he has all the necessary documents I got the most amazing smell from quite far, I had to ask what he was wearing but he couldn't remember. It left such a lasting impression in me that when he came in again today today, I asked him again and since he still couldnt recall he had to call his wife, and it turned out to be this fragrance. I got an amazingly rich, warm and inviting oriental spicy, almost oud like notes from this even though it somehow has none, with an almost vanillic touch at the end, the frankincesne and cedar really shine in this. After I wrote down what he was wearing, I went to douglas when I finished my shift and tried this on skin instantly, love at first sniff, definitely picking up a bottle of this for the colder weather.

I cannot say enough good things about this cologne - my absolute favorite. It's rich and resinous with an ever-so-slightly sweet note that's reminiscent of cola (in an almost medicinal way) providing a subtle balance to the striking frankincense and amber and woody notes. It's unabashedly masculine and makes a bold statement. It lasts and projects all you'd want it to, for if it were any stronger you'd risk becoming overpowering. There's something very nostalgic about this scent for me - it's reminiscent of a local gift & antique shop, loaded with scented items, that my mom frequented when I was very very young in the 70s - but it's still modern and unique. This one most definitely deserves the "elixir" moniker as it smells like a mythical potion created with skill and magic. And I'm not exaggerating. I got this for about $80 online and that's a bargain. 10 out of 10. Pretty much a perfect scent. Exquisite. Etc.

The dry down is 10/10. Sweet warm dark and masculine. Tough to decide what category this fits for me: before maceration it almost like a sauvage edt style but much darker and masculine and less fresh. But as it's macerated, it's gotten a lot more heavy, and thicker - more boss absolu esque. So it's gone from a daily autumn to an occasion only scent. I really like it though, it's now my go to cold weather masculine fragrance. Not as crowd pleasing as a vanilla heavy scent but more mature. Longevity is very good, but projection is very hit or miss. I've applied early evening and still smelled it when I woke up before, other times I've not smelt it after 2 hours of wear. Very odd. Great deals on notino though - I got 100ml from £57. Overall great to smell masculine at a budget and it smells very high quality. Same wheelhouse as sauvage elixir, Layton, helfetti leather. If you have the money get sauvage elixir :).

The best scent for the depths of winter, around Christmas and New Years. Very frankincense, very cardamom, very labdanum. The opening might be harsh to some (I love it though) but the drydown is addictive. I think a lot of other comments are trying to describe the frankincense note without knowing what it is, so if you know what that smells like, it's definitely here and I'm loving it. That being said I do not get "ecclesiastical vibes" or hippie type of incense vibes at all, this is totally different. In fact I hate the smell of those hippie incense sticks and I love this. It has the frankincense without the other notes that make up the generic "incense" smell, and with that delicious labdanum and who knows what else at the base. Very strong, fair price, I've had for three winters now and only wear in the winter.

I got this as a free decant. WOW. This scent is amazing. The frankencense and cardamon opening is so good! I burn frankencense on the regular so any perfume with it as a note always gets my attention. The cardamon gets that cool, spicy edge. Moment I sprayed, I knew Id love it. The dry down is a richy smoky leather woody accord. The vetiver and patchouli gives that earthy masculine edge. This stuff is definitely a masculine fragrance, I cant imagine a woman wearing this. This stuff is STRONG and leaves a nice scent bubble. It lasts a LONG time. 10-12 hours. You can easily go nose blind so a couple sprays is enough. The notes let you know, this is a cool and cold weather fragrance. First freebie i got where the seller really paid attention to what I bought and thought I would like this. Im hooked!

I don't know if anybody else is getting this, but Boss Bottled Elixir smells eerily similar to Dior's Vanilla Diorama, at least to my nose. They give off that same spicy coke bottle gummy vibe, and it's phenomenal. Super warm and cozy, and it lasted a good amount of time on my skin when I sampled it. I wouldn't say it's a dupe, it's about 75-80% of the way there, only differences to me are that BBE is a little sharper and more masculine. Don't take my word to be gospel though, because from what I'm hearing about both Diorama and Bottled Elixir, nobody mentions a coke bottle gummy smell, and the comparison is never made, so maybe my nose is bugging out. Interesting thought though, might need to sample both soon...

One of two brilliant Boss fragrance releases - the other being Absolu. These stand out from other street designer fragrances as they lean more towards the niche/unique, whilst still retaining some form of mass appeal. This is the smoother of the two, cleaner, and very easy to wear at work. Day time, Autumn, Winter, and on the rare occasion, spring. The Cardamom, vetiver, patchouli, Labdanum, and cedar make this a masculine leaning fragrance, with the frankincense adding that bit of uniqueness to the scent. 2-3 sprays for work, and outside for me is a 5-6 spray. If I'm honest, I prefer the Aboslu a bit more, but this one gets worn in more situations.

I tested Elixir today, and it is amazing. I already own a bottle of Hugo Boss Bottled Absolu, but Elixir completely flew under my radar because of the hype Absolu received. Both have strong projection and excellent longevity. Personally, I gravitate more toward Absolu because I find it bolder and more daring, but I’d honestly love to own both. I strongly advise against blind buying, as not everyone is going to like it. Make sure to test it on your hand rather than on a paper strip, because it smells much better on skin. Also, give it time to develop before judging it. Edit: The drydown was so good that I couldn’t resist ordering Elixir as well.

Went to the store and tested this today in passing not expecting much as I found the last 2 boss fragrances I tried really unpleasant. This is a stunner. It's like a cross between grand soir due to the strong labdanum, and encens suave with the incense-y notes albeit less sharp. This is going on the buy list for next winter, it's fantastic. Did I just compare this to 2 niches? Yep I think I got a hint of Sauvage elixir vibe on opening too. Edit: walked straight to the store today and bought it. Edit 2: worn it a few times and yep still love it Edit a few months later : I have a sillage for a minimum of 13 hours, thought that was worth noting.

You check your account and you see that fat paycheck. You smiled while you looked out the window of your 9th floor corner office, looking down at the plebes on the street. Mind you, you're not a C-suit yet but you're getting there. This is that smell. Spray as you want. You exude dominance. 🦍

Ancient woods burning, sacred resins, and nocturnal mysteries. An old wooden house, a lit fireplace casting sparks of light. The incense smoke ascends slowly, concealing spirits that hover among the trees You sink deeper into the mysteries of Twin Peaks—where allure dances with fear, where the warm embrace of timbered walls meets windows flung open to the supernatural. Between dream and reality, you discover that the dream is more tangible than the wooden walls enclosing you, whispering secrets older than time. Less comfortable than Absolu, more menacing and powerful. Masculine, strong, mysterious, and smoky. Highly evocative and beautiful.

This and Absolu are legendary releases by Boss. Both are leaning towards daring and niche compositions while leaving just enough room for sweetness and ambery notes to make them more generally appealing. Elixir opens up with spicy smoky notes that you can quickly recognize as frankincense. It's not too churchy or dry, and at the heart you get a large dose of patchouli to support the balsamic notes. This is somehow both very masculine but also meditative. I can't really see myself wearing this to school or the office, but it will fit right in at a bar, in the woods, or even at a semi-formal event.

As a smells n bells Catholic, this one is a clear winner in my book (the book is a Psalter). Old church ladies will say you smell divine. Dudes be chanting around me. My sister hates it, my woman loves it: I call that a win, win! Best on winter nights or cold, somber days. Can be cloying in the wrong temp or if the sun is out, unless there's snow in the ground. Given it's dominant notes are frankincense, patchouli, and cedar, the labdanum and cardamom really make it shine. A niche gourmand, but still oriental. Needless to say, I'm in heaven! Overall: 8.3/10

Got 100ml for $67 on donnatellapurfumes.com A classic, strictly masculine smelling, woodsey and uber amber scent that is just modern enough to stay relevant, especially with the plethora of scents available these days. Perhaps some more sweetness or vanilla would make it a bit more memorable, but still solid, especially for deep Autumn and mid winter (especially December) that works great with its pine tree notes. Not much floral in this at all, lots of woods spices and resins. Something you will want to smell constantly on your wrist throughout the day.

Bought this back in March, have only worn it once, not because it's bad, but I think it's strictly a fall/winter scent. The incense really stands out and blends with the amber so well, the dry down still caries that incense over and it becomes a lovely chocolate, not overly sweet, and still projects well even after a few hours. I would definitely say this one is a "Beast Mode" fragrance, regardless of if you don't get great longevity out of aftershaves, this one will be that exception. Looking forward to wearing it throughout the fall and winter.

This fragrance is a true masterpiece, its opening and later dry down is an amazing journey through the temple mounts of spiritual aromatherapy with the frankincense being the center fold next to patchouli, and the warmness of the labdanum, cedar, Vetiver, cardamom, it all blends in a very strong and beautiful scent, for people who love earthy, resinous and sweet fragrances, this is an incredible creation. Not mass appealing for some but amazing for others that love this genre. This is what a Holy secret agent would wear a night out. 😬❤️

Damn, the designer zone make better and better fragrances in the last years. This is opulent, sober, very well crafted in my opinion and one of the best releases in this category. If this would have been made by Amouage, the price will be mich higher. The frankincense from the beginning it's so lovely, natural feeling, a bit green, zingy, going in the elemi zone. This release a kind of confidence when smelling and wearing it, especially if you're also well-dressed. This, followed by Absolu are truly masterpieces.

I haven't found a scent yet that speaks to me as much as this one. I love woody colognes and this one has a beautiful cedar base, but the other notes give it an accord that's exotic and almost mythical. I'm not prone to exaggeration, but it's almost like this transports me to another time or place, but one I can't name or identify. Until Bottled Elixir, I don't think I understood what a signature scent was, but now I get it. If my world could just smell like this all the time, I'd be just fine with that.

My first Hugo Boss scent. I LOVE this stuff. I wore it to church the other day it was singing man so good. It's a nice sweet woodiness grain-like with incense and resin. So smooth, and the incense is subtle and smoky, but not overpowering in the slightest. The drydown just tones it down, brings it closer to the skin but it still projects like wild. Love this scent holy moly. All I have is the 50ml and I'm probably gonna need another one. I put this in the same vein as La Nuit De Lhomme and Dior Homme.

If someone has access to middle eastern houses and if they can be purchased at a good price then this fragrance may not be mind blowing in anyway. There is this sweet /woody/oudyy ambery mid-base note which makes it very smooth and a great daily wear even for office / or boys night out. on its own it is a great fragrance, something that was not expected from Boss, especially from this line "bottled". another plus point is that it can be purchased at discounters easily. 8/10

IMO smells exactly the same to Grand Soir, just no vanilla here. Bought this instand of Boss bottled absolu because it smelt more versatile. Great for nights out, parties, special occasions, even date night. During the day this thing projects hard and last long. The amount of compliments I got wearing this even during the summer is insane. Best to be wore during the winter or colder nights. I personally think this is the best Boss bottled you can get right now.

I was so excited to purchase this after comparing notes to Bottled Absolu when I first tried it. It has similar DNA, but this seems more versatile. It has a little bit of freshness to it. Powder is my favorite note, and amber is starting to become a close second. I had excellent performance out if this, but it required a few more sprays as compared to Absolu. I like Absolu better, but I still rate this a 9/10. Blind buy safe if you have hair on your chest.

I finally got to smell this one today at retail off the tester strip. Very tobacco forward to my nose, I'm shocked tobacco isn't listed as an official note-albiet my sniff came off of a strip, not off of skin. It's deep and very well blended to my nose, definitely one of the better "Elixir" fragrances I have smelled to date. I may pick this one up for next winter, as I don't see myself wearing this a whole lot the rest of this season to justify retail.

This is a great scent that has a rich woodiness, incense and spices with just enough vanilla to keep it from getting too funky or bitter. There is a moment in the mid where the spices are reminiscent of DS Elixir but the two are quite different. The incense doesn’t get to hippy herbal but more refined or vintage feeling if that makes sense. This was a great addition to my collection and finding it for $65 for 100ml bottle made it just that much better.

If you burn a lot of incense and/ or like the smell of incense then this is for you. Very smooth and well rounded for a "designer" fragrance. Personally I like how smooth the dry down is on skin with Elixir compared to the Absolu and I've found better performance on clothes with Elixir. Both have their own unique notes that separate them. Absolu is dark smoky leather while Elixir is a dak Incense wood. I'd recommend to sample both before buying.

An excellent Woody, Smoky, Spicy, and slightly green fragrance. It's deep and resinous, with tons of wood and smoke coming through as well. But there's also lots of spice worked in, and then a very green, pleasantly NON-soapy green fougere accord accompanying it to really round it out. Lasts ridiculously long and projects through the room if oversprayed. It's good, really good. I got a 50ml bottle at a discount site for only $55, well worth it.

Absolutely gorgeous fragrance that's perfect for the cold weather (definitely wouldn't wear this in warmer temps!). I have to say, this one definitely lives up to the hype. It's got spices but I wouldn't call it "spicy", per se. Super rich, warm, cozy, creamy, herbal, slightly sweet, and just plain addictive. Be warned though - you have to be conservative with your sprays cause this stuff can be potent and potentially cause headache.

This one and absolu are the only two boss fragrances i'll recommend, @slyelessar is right, this is more easier to wear. Absolu is a bit more softer leathery smoky and this is cleaner woody sharp and I get slightly spicy. I gifted this away, because my nephew was in love but I will definitely restock it later. You can find this for about 75 USD if you know those discount retailers. Worth it. Gorgeous scent, I would say 9.5/10

A home run release by Boss; dark, masculine, and sophisticated with an addictive resinous dry-down. I appreciate the dry, non-sweet character that this has in comparison to Bottled Elixir's younger brother, Bottled Absolu, which was unexpectedly sweet. The performance is spectacular, lasting 15 hours with great sillage and projection. A good value pick on discounters and really just a great fragrance overall.

This got me paying much closer attention to the offerings from Hugo Boss. I was aware of the mass appeal of The Scent line and it's maninka fruit, I hadn't heard much about the Boss Bottled line until recently. I enjoy this so much I got a 2nd 100ml bottle. The scent is addictive, reminds me of my late father. He knew a thing or two about smelling like Money, this fragrance is right in that vein of opulence.

What a great amazing fragrance this is. I think I prefer this just a little more than Boss Absolu. For me this is 10/10 and Absolu 9/10 This has become one of my favorite fragrances of all time. I have a bottle of the first batch and it is so good. I will nurse this one because they might reformulate it in the future. What a performance also. Running on 9 Hours and it still very present. Good job Hugo Boss.

I was lucky to get a 50ML bottle of this around 5 weeks ago. It has absolutely nothing to do with the OG, it’s still a pleasant fragrance. If you don’t like incense then I’d stay away. Boss Bottled Elixir is a powerhouse, as it dries down it becomes sweet, the incense does stick around! It’s a solid release from Boss, just make sure you allow the scent to dry down before committing to a full bottle.

I felt that my Bottled Absolu was in niche territory, but this Bottled Elixir takes it one step further. Spicy and sweet at the same time, Oriental and Western too, beautiful scent. Definitely niche, in terms of not being mass-appealing, best for connoisseurs. I love this over my Bottled Absolu, more unique until the drydown. Absolu has a great opening, but the drydown drifts into designer land.

Now that I've smelled this I can say that Hugo Boss is quite the sleeper house when it comes to their fragrances. This kind of reminds of of MFK's Grand Soir with that ambery woodiness. I can't speak about performance, but it definitely smelled strong off the tester strip. And, as a bonus, this scent is very well-priced. This smells like it could be $150, so $80 is a fantastic price for this.

A serious offering by boss. Mature, sophisticated, exudes strength and confidence. No-nonsense masculine vibe that would suit men who already have their shit together and know where they are headed. I much prefer this over the absolu , which is good in its own standing but this is just more refined and not rough around the edges like absolu.... Try before you buy. It remains subjective

My husband has been wearing this recently and he ALWAYS gets complimented on it, it really suits and compliments him beautifully 👌. To me it smells like it embodies what women read in the novels "the tall, dark and mysterious stranger" 👀 the kind of guy that seduces her and she gives into him. As a female.. don't wear this unless you have that kind of seductive streak about you 🫦
