Hugo Boss Bottled Oud Saffron, smells sexy! Opening: You get and rose and saffron right away. The saffron and rose comes across fairly masculine, I'm impressed with how well blended those notes are and how masculine it comes across, very pleasant smell. There is oud here but it hasn't stolen the show, it's just in the background giving the rose and saffron a subtle woody base. Very high quality, very well blended. Middle: The top notes of rose and saffron start to dry down and the freshness goes away, this floral sweetness starts to become more prominent and this fragrance becomes REALLY SEXY. You start to get more oud as well which is a very safe friendly oud, not stinky or dirty in any way. Usually a sweet floral fragrance is going to smell quite feminine but the sweetness isn't over the top and the wood notes from the oud give a nice masculine touch. But there definitely is a mix of masculine and feminine notes here. leaning more masculine. Base: The floral notes die down a bit and oud takes over making a well blended sexy sweet woody combination. don't get me wrong this does smell like oud, but the oud is very safe and subtle and it never goes overly stinky or overly medicinal. Anyone that has experience with real oud would pick up that this is probably not natural oud but whatever they're using has been used on purpose to give the fragrance more of an inoffensive quality. The deep floral notes still linger around in the background. Performance: Excellent. With 4-6 sprays I get about 10 hours. Decent projection for first 2 hours. Sillage very good. Overall: Not gonna be a people pleaser or show stopper for the average person, but for the right occasion when you need something sexy and sweet, this fragrance will shine. If you're looking for something that smells more traditionally masculine, this wouldn't be my first choice. This fragrance blends masculine and feminine notes. Best occasions to wear this would be night time, colder weather and for date nights. Give it a try if you're looking for something different.

This is the best fragrance ever. My story with this fragrance And how i ended up choosing this fragrance as my signature scent. First time i sniff this fragrance was about 7 month ago. I didn't know any thing about fragrances at that time I just had a dream to have my signature scent. I went to the shop and i tested some fragrances like Stronger with you amber and that one. To my nose it was very similar to amber fragrances. Maybe because labdanum in it. This scent is very sweet it.Sometimes feels like that you are smelling honey. But, I don't think it is bad in any way or over powering. In the opening i smell different notes than what existed. I describe the opening as an apple note with hints of leather and a very small hint of Oud ,laubdanum and smoky rose coming from the base note and heart note. After it dies down. I smell a mix of labdanum and rose. Which is very beautiful and distinctive and seems natural. I found that many people who smell this fragrance describe it as a Calm scent. two persons told me that Why i choosed Hugo boss oud saffron to be my signature scent? 1- Projection I was looking for a scent to express my style. To make a statement. I was looking for something to be a noticeable scent I am not putting a deodorant. The projection here is very good. 2- Niche perfume in a lower price. It is very Unique scent. That people can distinguish it and remember it easier. To be unforgettable. 3-Match my preferences I love amber scents, saffron, sweet fragrances and at the same time smoky rose. Just wow Only one Disadvantage. The opening is not the best part of the scent. The saffron note doesn't smell like natural saffron. It is pungent. And if your nose is not super clear. You will feel it is artificial. After 3 months, The opening apealed very bad for me, it smell like an apple scent mabye an apple pie that seems synthetic,Althought, after it dries i get the best smell , i noticed that it has strong creamy milky notes.

Ah, Oud saffron. This is the fragrance i would wholeheartedly run to if i was ever asked to pick a daily wear scent for the rest of my life. Oud saffron is by no means a oud heavy fragrance (think oud ispahan, oud wood) in my honest opinion. The oud is definitely present, and very much there, but it sits as more of a strong base until the dry down and gives room for the other notes to shine. It is truly phenomenal stuff, the top notes are a pungently strong rose and saffron, sharing many of the same scent notes as D&G's mysterious night, another saffron rose oud fragrance, but while mysterious night is more mature and more "grown up" feeling more formal, saffron rose instead has a lot of brightness to it. That brightness combines with the warm oud and subtle swirls of labdanum and create this indescribable "aura". I've worn this all throughout winter and a couple of sprays in the morning is enough to imbed the scent in clothing for a good couple days. Colder temperatures are this gem's bread and butter but if you are careful you can pull this off during fall. There is a certain vague quality that may make it unlikeable for some, it's hard to put into words but a slight mineral-y or boozy? (not sure if that's the best way to describe it) quality that separates it from any oud fragrances in the Boss line. It instead distinguishes itself as a category of its own. I would definitely recommend trying this on paper and then on skin before buying and avoiding blind buying altogether as it is not everyones cup of tea, but for those who do like it, this is a treat of the loveliest kind. Combining this with Mysterious night is an even better way to take this fragrance to a whole new level.

If you were to sample this scent without knowing it's brand, you'd think it's some fancy niche oud fragrance because the quality is quite exceptional. Designer perfumers rarely go out of their way to create something daring and striking as this because it's definitely not made for mass appeal. Oud Saffron is insanely good. The rose and saffron create a very strong opening or "pungent" as I've heard some say. Might still appeal to some but the real equaliser is when you hit the middle and dry down where the oud comes out mixed with some rose. The projection and sillage is very good. In terms of sillage, its definitely on the stronger side so you'd have to be quite conservative with your sprays because people will smell you when you walk in. Projection is eternal especially when you spray on wool. I have cardigans and jackets from 2 months ago that still carry the scent. With skin i could still smell it on my wrist after a day at work so 9-12 hours easy. This is definitely one for the winter, and even then should be used sparingly otherwise you risk choking people out. Usage in fall could apply too as long as it doesn't get a bit warm. I don't care who you are. There's no way anyone pulls this sort of oud in summer and spring. The rose and saffron would simply be unbearable... If you're into Ouds this one really deserves to be part of your collection.

Oud Saffron was a blind buy for me... Oud Saffron is a fall and winter stunner for those that enjoy fragrances that contain the dominate notes of: warm spicy, oud, rose, amber and leather! 💯 When I wear Oud Saffron it reminds me of Issey Miyake Or Encens, Dior Fahrenheit Gucci Guilty Absolute and Moschino Toy Boy. Despite the these similarities that come to mind Oud Saffron still has its own scent identity. The rose/saffron notes have been masterfully blended so that the fragrance doesn't smell feminine but instead smells sexy with a lot of masculinity! 👍 With this being said...I suspect Oud Saffron will be more appealing to men than women. Nonetheless, women who enjoy masculine oud/rose/amber/leather/spicy fragrances should also consider Oud Saffron. 🤣 Oud Saffron is niche juice in a designer bottle with discounted designer price tag! 🔥 🥳 Performance and projection are above average and not nuclear making Oud Saffron an easy fragrance to wear for its entire lifecycle. Oud Saffron is a workhorse and most people will easily yield 12 of performance. Oud Saffron is an extremely safe blind buy for people that enjoy various formulations of oud dominate fragrances. Newer noses or those that struggle with oud dominate fragrances should proceed with caution and consider sampling Oud Saffron first! 🧐🤓 Overall: 9/10

I've had this one for quite a while now and I was surprised I hadn't commented upon it. This one in my opinion is the best of the three in the H.B bottled Oud line. Don't get me wrong Oud & Oud Aromatic are awesome but it's that touch of Saffron that made the difference. A combination made in heaven for me and it is almost as good as Aramis Calligraphy Saffron which is much more expensive for obvious reasons. Overall this is a beautifully blended fragrance that hangs around for a long time with just two squirts! I am a big fan Hugo Boss anyway but this one just adds that touch of class to the bottled line. The bottled line stands heads and shoulders above all other H.B. fragrances with the exception of the five in 'The Scent' line, and Private Accord/Pure Accord being my favourite in that line! I give Oud Saffron a well deserved 9 out 10 for all round quality and performance, and I would not hesitate to recommend it because of its touch of class👌❤️😃! Thank Hugo Boss for this one!

I have always loved the Boss Bottled DNA and have tried a fair few Oud Fragrances over the years. I remember trying Oud Saffron on the back of my wrist in a store some years ago and thought this is nice so I blind bought it some years later. This does not disappoint, however the Boss DNA is not really there at all and this is a heavy Rose/Oud scent in it's own right. It is definitely not your usual Boss Bottled offering that is for sure! i don't get the plastic opening that many have experienced, in fact I get punched in the face with Rose to start with, slight saffron and then the heavy Oud smell kicks in. It smells lovely in the dry down so you do need to give it some time. It projects off me like a beast, I can still smell this after 12h+. Really great Winter fragrance from the house of Hugo Boss, easily worth the money IMO but probably don't blind buy unless you love Rose and Oud! 9/10

This one is kind of a sleeper. Off the nozzle and on paper it smells too strong of saffron. Strong like when you put too much saffron in your rice and it completely overpowers it with a bitter, medicinal taste. On skin, however, it lightens up big time and the rose really comes out and creates a very pleasant oud rose combo. The saffron still remains strong, more than similar type fragrances, but it is very well balanced. As a whole it's also a relatively light fragrance for what it is. I'm kind of impressed with this Boss Bottled Oud line so far. They seem Middle East inspired for a Western audience. Very easy wearing. I would actually say this is light enough to wear for most of the year, minus the hottest of days. Longevity is lacking, but that would be expected with a scent this light. A nice surprise for me from this one.

This is a hidden gem masterpiece. Not much hype surrounding this one, I have to thank a Gents Scents video for putting me on to this one. Jammy rose, pungent saffron and oud. Definite niche quality. Great longevity, and this stuff will push out off of you. A western nose probably needs to smell this a few times before passing judgement, and you're probably not going to get many compliments in the western world wearing this. But this is just a beautiful cooler weather fragrance. Love to see a designer taking some chances amd not going with the safe play.

So surprised to see dislikes here... Such a well-balanced scent, exactly giving you the impression of oud and saffron in a perfect combination. I managed to find it in Oman duty-free, and bought it after testing. It stays on the skin for hours with a delightful aura of woody and slightly spicy notes, and no exaggerated sweetness like with many ouds. Those who are used to loud and sticky ouds will not enjoy this one: it's a modern gentleman's soft and sensual scent, not an opulent oriental, but that's why it's perfect for me.

I couldn't help it but to buy this beautiful scent, i saw it on shelf tried it among 10s of perfumes the likes of Dior Homme, YSL collection, Pacco Rabanne. I can say there's nothing like it. I was a beginner then still i appreciate it so much in my collection and one of my best buys totally in love with it. I see it's either a love or hate perfume a little extreme so try it first but you actually should :) If this has a Tom Ford tag it would be sold with a very high price tag I confirm.

was a bit hesitant to buy this regarding some reviewers said it smells like ‘ stale beer ‘.Glad i didn’t care much.It smells no beer or something like that at all.I love it from the opening to drydown.opening reminds me of mix of nuit de feu/ombre nomade by louis vuitton.It gets more syrupy/spicy as it driesdown but my nose can pick up oud/saffron.Amazing fragrance,with strong sillage for this price.If you love oud/rose/saffron you won’t regret.

I like the Boss Bottled DNA, but mixing it with Oud and Saffron was.....weird. Oud and Saffron are two of my favourite notes, and they're there, but they don't stand out as much as they should because of the Boss Bottled sweet apple vibe in the background. It was a lot to ask to mix Boss Bottled DNA with oud, but surprisingly, it's not the monstrosity I expected, however, it truly does smell like stale beer & not in a bad way.

A seductive, metallic and dominating saffron with a touch of oud, screeching opening but after 15 mins its just a wonderful and powerful statement maker, with even better performance and longevity, really puzzled by why this does not get more love. My second all time favorite by Boss, and one of the most alluring fragrances from the house, solid choice for anyone seeking a great take on saffron, and is a banger for the price.

This is REALLY nice. Jammy rose with some spices around the edges. I'm not big on rose notes but in this it's delicious. Smells like some kind of baked desert but not at all cloying. There's some of the original oud dna underneath but it's not the first thing you'd notice. This also isn't really an oud scent or at least I pick up none. A winner. 8.5/10

I read all reviews, kinda was surprised that no one mentioned how sexy it is. Raw, animalistic, when you and she are really horny, and it kinda feels dirty. sex in a bottle. I can relate to a lot that had been said, the slight stench, the plastic/crude oil. It is there, but after a while it developed into this warm, sexy scent. Enjoy

If you feel like secret saffron from maison crivelli is not enough for you, you can go for this one. This is a burst of saffron notes and i like it! I do feel like there is some leather notes in this though it's not stated that make the scent a bit rubbery and nauseating. I just wish the oud is stronger

Amazing fragrance for temperatures around zero, really works well in the cold. Don't recommend blind buying it although that's what I did and it took around 5 uses before i started to like it. I now look forward to freezing temps so I can wear it

Bought this for my sister’s graduation celebration. It lasts easily 10+hours with 3 sprays. Warm, inviting, special. The scent develops pleasantly, as a whole totally not a Boss scent but reaching for the niche spectre.

This cologne is actually really amazing, stays on my shirt for about 2 days and it’s well balanced. It starts off a bit harsh, but settles after some minutes. Scent- 10/10 Performance- 8/10

Is this discontinued? Can't find it anywhere other than ebay. So glad I bought 2 bottles for 85 quid. Seen it on ebay for £150

A good entry level in oud and saffron

Let’s not fixate on the ‘oud’ in Everything with Oud in the title, I used to do that but I’ve come to realise to treat Oud like amber, as a concept. Ironically there’s quite a prominent sharp, resinous note that I could associate with some synthetic Oud materials but the prominent accord is one of saffron. Yet again...I don’t think it’s real saffron, doesn’t have the earthy facets, it’s very sharp and harsh but also oddly smooth when settled, what it does have is the leathery feel. So this sounds negative so far but let me assure you that the opening is fantastic, then it becomes cloying and even a little annoying, deeply dried down it’s a sublime skin scent. I’m conflicted because it’s unapologetically designer in feel but the price doesn’t reflect that so...yeah. A bit of a mess but a glorious mess. If it’s ever heavily discounted I’d pick up a bottle.

I'm going to get roasted for this, but this smells like a less sticky Ombre Leather (2018). It lacks the tartness of the raspberry, but the same "leathery" base note floats just under the surface. The fruit here (if you will) is less specific. Just fruity with a roughness that makes it masculine just like Ombre Leather. Not one for one, but related. Siblings, maybe. I am a huge fan of Oud Aromatic and I would say Saffron and Aromatic are related in name only. Ombre is the DNA you're looking for... and that's not a bad thing. I actually really like this stuff. As much, if not slightly more, than Ombre Leather. I own a full bottle of Ombre, but if I had two samples side by side I think I'd go for this one. By an inch.

Very reminiscent of issey miyake noir ambre, they both share the saffron note in the opening, but while noir ambre seems to be embracing the sweetness, oud saffron is more ambiguous. The sweetness is certainly there, rose note reinforces it, but the herbal/oud notes in the back give this scent some edge and character. Interesting perfume for sure, I could see this being a crowd pleaser, but I could also see how it can become overpowering and a little too much after wearing it for a while. My gf was very much into that smell and decided she wants to wear it, so might as well be unisex too.

Rose. Oud. Saffron. In that order. This is SO easy to wear. Anybody looking at some new-ish wood scents (to americans) try this. It's slightly sexy, slightly fem, but VERY well blended. It's easy as hell to use 2 sprays on a date night, but not a NEW date night. Wear something softer. Then on date 2 or 3, BANG bust out this. 2 sprays. One on skin of neck, one between thighs on jeans. Anybody wondering, roses when done right, are indeed an aphrodisiac. This stuff is strong, but doesn't last forever. Very good 3 hours. Lasts for 6 before its almost dead.

I’m not at all into sweet frags, but I must make an exception here. Like D&G The One Mysterious Night, it’s perplexing: it’s feminine, but perfectly suited for men (it’s hard to explain). I reckon girls can sport this frag too, if brave enough. It's a very rich, jammy rose. Almost cherry-like with a whisper of woody, earthy oud. It reminds me a bit of Cherry Coke. I still prefer the original Boss Botlled Oud, but this one is a beautiful and unique addition along side D&G The One Mysterious Night (which by the way, is a completely different scent).

On paper it smells like plastic and alcohol. Tried spraying on my skin to see if it's any different, yet the result almost was the same. A strong saffron note in the opening. However, an hour later it develops into a great scent, reminding me of Middle Eastern spice bazars. It's a great scent, just give it time to develop Edit: Layer this with BR540 (or any of its clones). It will give the BR540 scent a more oriental feel. 8.5/10

Agree with the other poster, it smells like stale beer. It's an illusion though, there's something about the floral sweetness from the rose and something else i haven't quite got my finger on, after about 5m they come together and smell like a bar mat. I do like it overall though, I just think you would have to be very discerning about where to wear it. Around company with a good nose it would be very enticing.

Had this sitting for a while. But decided to rock it as of late. It is not a safe blind buy. It is very bold. Verrrry. I personally dig this very much and very strong. If you don't like oud or saffron or middle east type of DNAs, stay away from this one. Otherwise in my opinion, it's a masterpiece. Over spraying will make you nauseous. Not recommended for summer generally.

Just purchased this fragrance. Starts off with a strong combination of rose and oud which slowly but surely leads to a milder rose and saffron smell with a lighter hint of oud. Strong sillage and good projection. A few sprays should be enough, too much will become overpowering to people around you. Definitely a winter fragrance due to the smoky, rose notes.

Powerful. I like saffron, so yay. I've successfully layered it with Morgan de Toi Homme and it's nice, nice.

As someone who uses The Night (which also has saffron, rose and oud) I find this to be rose-y in comparison. I also find both The Moon and The Night to be quite sweet and I don't get much of the "barnyard oud" from them (likely because I am accustomed to oud at this point) but this is another level. It is sticky, intense and kind of lacking in what you'd expect from something with oud in the name in my opinion. While it does last and project quite a bit from my experience but I found it to be hard to use given how cloying it feels. Overall, I'll give this a 6/10 given how cloying it feels and the disappointing beginner oud. I may try to get some more use out of it and update my opinions based on whether it manages to grow on me or not.

For a designer scent it certainly gets points for being more daring than most, even if it’s not the most unique amongst fragrances in the same genre. You kinda get what it says on the tin: oud and saffron accords along with some rose, it creates a sort of fruity/leathery vibe as a result of the combination. Other people’s comparisons with stale beer are not completely unfounded, but it’s not enough to fully take over the fragrance. Nice but could be better. 6/10

This is beastly OMG! but alas was not expecting such strong oud. washed it off after 8 hrs it was starting to make my nose ill.... I love strong perfumes but i just cannot feel any real love for Strong Oud. Ill try it again and maybe just 2 sprays on my hands and wipe is around a bit see if i can tame the beast!

Stale beer. Straight of the bat this is harsh and very pungent and to me not in a good way. Maybe it's having worked in hospitality for 10+ years (specifically bars) and just having a nose primed to pick up that imagine with these notes but stale beer is all i can smell in the opening. Bought based on good reviews, the majority (very small but still) comparison to Mysterious night (which is phenomenal) and general notes/accords. Unfortunaetley smells nothing even remotley like Mysterious night or anything else i can think of with designer 'oud'. Thankfully got it on Notino at a specially (assuming a previous tester bottle) slightly used price so it's no steep loss for me and i'm sure someone on ebay will be happy to pick up for a bargin when i sell it on. It does eventually dry down to something more manageable and likeable, in the dry down the spicy and wood notes come through along with a sweeter scent but by this stage it's alot weaker, closer to a skin scent, and i'm feeling nauseous and can't enjoy it. Which is a huge shame as if the opening resembled the dry down even slightly this could be a great addition and enjoyable. Definitley not a blind buy scent as i think it's likley a love/hate for most people. Projects pretty well for 4+ hours on clothes at least and lasts abit longer in general longevity.

Came across this Oud Saffron and Aromatics today, I was curious to try. So sorry I did . Both have assaulted my senses with a sickly chemical odour that persists despite being washed off. As an Oud lover, I've got to ask, when you call a perfume Oud XXXX, surely some semblance of Oud either natural or synthetic should be present!. I can get absolutely none at any stage of the dry down. Disappointing given its €105 price tag. Nice shaped bottle, but cheap plastic bottle top.

Firstly I have the regular oud bottled and love it, this however is a strong dislike from me. It is rose dominant, relatively weak in comparison to the regular oud. It also has a really strong resemblance to dirty beer cans. It also comes across as a really feminine scent somehow. I certainly would not recommend blind buying this!

So this fragrance isnt it Ive been told by someone they'd rather go a week without showering than wearing it I'm also not a fond of it

Hugo Boss Bottled Oud Saffron - Very intense, wiht the Hugo Boss Bottled Oud Aromatic the worst scent for me. You will have a headache from this two. I don't know why people love it. Scent: 1/10 Longevity: 8/10 Sillage: 7/10 Bottle: 4/10 Value for money: 3/10

Honestly the worst perfume i have ever smelled. I felt like i had to apologize to my nose after that experience.

Blind bought and just received It for sure leans feminine and if it wasn't marketed to a male audience I would think it was a woman's perfume. This is likely due to the absolutely domineering rose note. I happen to love rose so this is fine for me as an athletic male. I have enough fragrances that smell manly already and these type of rose fragrances are winning me over. I am a big fan of the manly vetiver frags, but these feminine rose note frags are so good However, this one does not at all smell like Boss. I get zero Boss DNA as far as the Boss scents that I own. It smells nothing like the Boss oud EDP to my nose. Yes it smells niche, but I think that's just because rose itself smells very high class. A fragrance reviewer said it smelled like a certain type of sweet bread and I could see that. But really the rose is so dominate throughout the entire fragrance. It also has a bit of animalic vibe to it which is probably the oud I reckon. Actually it's more of a gasoline vibe, but not in a bad way at all. It doesn't smell like a natural oud, I guess it has that in common with the EDP version. They both have a synthetic oud smell but with the EDP it's a damp dark type vibe whereas this is a leathery sweet vibe with hints of gasoline, which is odd but somehow works Will test more and come back to this if anything changes **UPDATE** Ok went outside and checked the mail in the cold January night and I could smell a nice little scent bubble around me. I see what this is now. I do really like this. It's absolutely a rose scent. It should be called rose oud instead of oud saffron. It's saffron and rose with hints of leather and very very very light metalic animalic oud vibe that doesn't gain any prominence until way into the dry down. Like four hours into the dry down the oudy base starts to really take note. The rose in the opening and middle is gorgeous though. It's got that kind of up front and in your face rose tinge to it. Like a very plush or blooming rose, which I love. Almost a stinging rose if that makes sense, and it sticks with the fragrance for the lifespan more or less as the dominant note. However this one is strange because like I said you can't detect any oud vibes until way way into the dry down and that's when the saffron dies out. So for the first like four hours of the fragrance you have the dominant rose dancing with the saffron to create a very unique sweet bread type of vibe, with just ever so slight hints of leather and that animalic oudy vibe way way in the background. But after the safrron dies out the leather and animalic oud starts to come out. I guess they say it's metallic and I could see that. But I'd describe it more like animalic gasoline. Hard to explain. But it can be somewhat sharp and piercing along with sweet in a way. But in the air it's very nice It is for sure feminine. Not even unisex really. Not manly in the least bit imo, but that's ok because I love rose and I just love how it smells personally. This is not going to make you sexier to the ladies imho. They're used to smelling feminine rose fragrances on themselves. I doubt this will do much for you in that department. If you're looking for that then maybe go with Serge Lutens santal majuscule. which is a rose dominant amber fragrance that keeps the realistic organic rose smell but pairs it with a burnt ambery base that is very sexy on a man for a classy occasion This one is more like a casual rose scent imo. Something you'd wear in the daytime or a nice evening around the house or dinner at home. I wouldn't wear this going out necessarily. It's too "nice" and subtle for that. It doesn't break down the door with projection and it's just not that kind of fragrance. I wouldn't even wear it on a date night. It's far too subtle and close to the skin and just far too feminine for a man However with that said, it is a super unique fragrance at least to my amateur palate having bought and own mostly designer frags. This is the type of fragrance you fall in love with and adore for personal use. It's not a dumb reach frag but a frag you want to pull out in a certain mood The scent stays close to your skin but you will catch whiffs of the silage in the air and it's gorgeous. Definitely a cold weather frag. Not at all a warm weather deal here. The performance is around average in that it stays around for about half a day on skin. However the projection is not beast mode and at times you lose the scent thinking it's died down. Not really, it's still there. It has decent silage in the first four or five hours and after that you may catch whiffs once in awhile but really aside from the random whiffs it stays close to your skin **UPDATE #3** Ok upon second full wearing I fully see what this scent is and it's not quite as amazing as I first thought but pretty close. It is a designer that is trying to be niche and sort of succeeding but not fully. It still has an ever so slight cheap vibe about it like all designers. However I will double down and still say this smells nothing like a Boss scent and only ever so slightly does it smell like it's brother Boss oud EDP. Only in that synthetic oud vibe So what this is is a sweet rose that smells somewhat synthetic and almost gourmand-ish in a strange way, however it's held down by a gasoline-ish oud which is pretty pungent however in the first 2-3 hours is dominated by the rose and saffron notes. Only occasionally do you get hints of that strong oud. And at times it almost reminds me of beer. Like beer and gasoline mixed in the oudy base. Very strange but somehow attractive. The super blossomed tart rose along with the sweetness and saffron balance it all out. However at times it can come across immature and synthetic almost to a plastic vibe if that makes sense. Almost lipsticky in its sweetness. However imo the rose is what takes it out of obscurity and transforms it into something. But even the rose can get annoying at times because it's just so dominant throughout the life of the fragrance. Also for some reason at times it can have almost an ambery vibe, especially way into the dry down, which is odd. Imo it's very close to santal majuscule from Serge Lutens. This is like the little brother of that fragrance. Smaller, sweeter, less masculine, and less classy. But similar This is an extremely long lasting fragrance. I wore it yesterday and I still easily smell a good dose of it on my wrist today. It lasts for days on your clothes too. I still believe it stays closer to the skin even though the longevity is eternal. However it also has amazing silage. So for some reason below average projection, but above average silage and just extremely long lasting if that makes sense Overall it's a great scent, but not an every day runner by no means. You will likely get sick of this after a dozen or so wears and only bust it out once in a while. For a designer it's top notch, but doesn't quite reach niche territory in quality. Close though. If you're not a fan of rose you will hate this. It's a grown up scent and it's a feminine scent so not every man will like it or pull it off. It takes a certain kind of soft sensibility style man to really make this one fit. However if you just like it then wear it, it's lovely. I love rose scents so to me it's a gem scent-8.5/10 performance-7/10 uniqueness-9/10 value-7/10 versatility-6/10 overall-8/10

I was a huge fan of the movie Inception, a dream within a dream. Here we have a flanker to a flanker! I was a bit hesitant to try this one since I wasnt a huge fan of the original flanker Bottled Oud. But I read some positive reviews about this one and saw a great deal somewhere so I pulled the trigger and blind bought this one. Hugo Boss Bottled Oud Saffron! The note breakdown is pretty simple. At the top Saffron and Rose. In the heart Labdanum and in the base Oud. I suspect this is not actual oud. However it sure does smell woody. I was positively suprised and actually enjoyed it alot! It has an oriental Middle Eastern Vibe. Very musky and leathery actually. I know it wont sound like something great but it actually smells like a comfortable old sofa. Very comforting, and warm. I sense something nostalgic but can't come up with a memory thats linked to it. Somehow it smells so familiar. Not a familiar perfume but a familiar scent. The name is not fitting though. Not the Oud Saffron part, since it does smell oud-ish and like Saffron. But is has no similarities to the original Boss Bottled. Boss Bottled is known for the epic apple-vanilla-cinnamon combination, and this flanker of the flanker doesnt contain any of the three. The original Bottled Oud did contain apple, a sour apple which combined with the oud was too sharp for my taste. This Oud Saffron is much more likable than Bottled Oud but has nothing to do with the original Boss Bottled. My guess is that they wanted to cover this field aiming at the Middle Eastern market, and wanted to profit from the succes of the original Boss Bottled. It has this Atkinsons type of vibe, elegant mature manly fragrance. I like it alot!

Can anyone tell me how similar is this to the 'og' oud boss, because i reaaaally like this one but its double the price of the boss bottled oud where i'm buying. the saffron is 65e and oud is 45e. EDIT: just bought the fragrance and it's really amazing, performance is killer for me 7+ hours and it really is a fully done fragrance, nothing here that is missing it might even be overkill for some people who don't like this rose/oud combo, it reminds me of a craft beer that i've drank a couple of times so i get the idea of people saying it smells like it, guess it's from either rose or saffron. Don't know much about oud, but i can tell you that for 65e this smells more quality and suit and tie than most of my other fragrances. Beware it can induce a headache honestly whilst im typing im holding my left hand behind me on a char rest because i can't bare it standing under my nose for the whole duration. for me this is a must buy if you get it for 50-60$ and you like a little bit challenging and masculine scents. People say that this is somewhat similar and has the hugo boss dna, i feel none of it, to me it feels like something a middle eastern fragrance would smell like. For me one of my best fragrances but i would really test it before you buy. 8.5/10 Not a 10 since there's very little situations you can wear this, you could try one spray for indoors but i recommend only wearing it for date nights in the cold and clubbing if you want to be the alpha and every girl smell you and be either disgusted or wanting to shag you on the spot. Really don't use it in summer at all, like put it in the back of the back of the shelf. this in summer could be considered a weapon lol

Strong and unique. Elegant, classy, however pungenty and polarizing The rose, oud, and saffron are the stars here. It's simple yet very well done. I would put this up there in the niche category. Punches above its class for sure. However it does lean feminine in my opinion, which is probably the rose note's fault Doesn't seem like you could get away with wearing it in most scenarios, although idk maybe you could. It does just smell good in general, however it seems best suited for dress up. A man in a tux could potentially pull this off, or a woman in an elegant dress or lingerie. It is fairly seductive. But I really don't think it's a manly fragrance. I think it's more suited for women honestly I personally really like it but I'm a fan of oud and rose notes. A lot of men won't like this. It's probably an acquired taste as well If you're a collector and you like the scent profile then you'll enjoy it Performance is pretty well nuclear. Projects like crazy and fills up a room

WARNING : DO NOT BLIND BUY! Update 1: after I sprayed it on my wrist: Got it as blind buy after testing Bottled Oud and thought it will be something like Bottled Oud but an addition of Saffron and rose, but Nope, its totally different, it has its own DNA. When I first sprayed it, it smelled like plastic, true... the smell takes me to Persian spice bazar or the ancient Persian temples vibes. interesting but I'm just confused, more weird than pleasant Update 2: few minutes after wearing it: Yep, middle eastern mosque vibe, spritual scent... interesting. I can also smell the oud but its like smelling the finished oud charcoal not the smoke of the oud itself. Rose scent is annoying :/ Update 3 : applied it again after a few days, I do like it as a whole actually, its growing on me. Update 3: ok kinda went back to Bottled Oud after like 10 minutes or so, less punchy now, I like it more as it dries down.

Soft, warm rosey saffron. Boss Bottled Oud Saffron is a proper flanker of the original Boss Bottled Oud. Oud Saffron's scent is soft floral woody smell of saffron, softened up further with rose, & has a hint of woody oud. It much less spicy than the original Bottled Oud. It's saffron first & rose second. The oud is not overt here. A little disappointing because I love oud & would've loved more of it. However, the beautiful scent of Oud Saffron makes up for the lack of noticeable oud. It's exotic, warm, Middle Eastern, & intimate. Might be too soft & rosey to some, though. Can be easily worn by women. To me, the Bottled Oud line ranking would be: 1. Boss Bottled Oud. 2. Boss Bottled Oud Saffron. 3. Boss Bottled Oud Aromatic. Bottled Oud Saffron is a mature, cool weather wear, & while more formal, it can be a causal wear. Big "Like".
