Boss Bottled Striking Lavender

Finally. A men's fragrance. For men. Masculine and manly. @snowatom put it as clearly and concisely as could be. This is exactly the kind of fragrance I think of when I hear the words 'cologne for men'. And it is absolutely, positively, fan-fucking-tastic. Soapy, after-shave, shampoo, shower gel, all rolled up into one big bottle of awesomeness. Initially I was hoping for something lavender-y like the Caron line, but they've been doing lavender for almost 100 years in men's fragrance so maybe that is too lofty a bar for Boss to reach. This fragrance, however, is exactly what fragranceland has needed and been missing in mainstream men's perfumery. Makes me think of Boss Bottled Infinite, but done better. Like an Infinite intense or something. Performance is average. I'll buy 5 bottles. And spray more. Stop with the apple pie. The vanilla frosting. The syrup and pancakes. Give me this all day, every day. Concerned about the price? Just wait a few weeks, this will be cheap as chips on discounters. Thank you, Hugo Boss.

Just sampled at Sephora. This was clearly different from all the other men's fragrances in the store. The lavender is so sharp, tweaked to extreme. I was intrigued but worried it may be cloying to wear. As it dries down a masculine scent appears but the lavender is present and still extremely sharp. I want to give it a wear before anything else but I couldn't resist sharing my experience. Edit: This is nice. An easy to wear fragrance that does the job well. It's handsome and comforting. There goes my money. Edit: I've never bothered deciphering a fragrance ingredients list but there's much more going on than what's listed for the fragrance notes like, bergamot, lemon peel, rose, cinnamon. It's fancier than it appears. I guess the citrus is what makes it so sharp.

Very nice. As a fan of lavender, I got what I wanted, for sure. This to me a bit of a compromise between Percival, Lavande 31 and Solar Lavender. It's got that bright lavender opening from Solar Lavender (which I love) but also has the musky punch of Lavande 31 and the metallic/mineral tinge of Percival. So, an evolution/refinement of the Fierce DNA. Longevity is surprisingly decent, at least as long lasting as Percival on my skin and projects decently for the first hour or two. The Bottled line is probably my favorite designer line and this is another good addition to it. It doesn't reinvent the wheel, but it does what it does well and delivers on the "striking lavender" promise. A great summer banger and easy office wear.

Exactly as advertised - I sprayed this on today and it is potent lavender. Both my wife & son liked it and said it smelled like my longtime signature lavender scent L'Occitan. I prefer a more cedar base over this moss base but that's my only criticism. It absolutely lasted all day but the sillage became intimate after a couple of hours. Definitely doesn't deserve all the hate - this is a safe buy if you enjoy masculine lavender. If someone doesn't like lavender why would you wear this? I don't like coconut scents but I don't post reviews saying they're terrible because I know I don't like them. And it has zero resemblance to Boss Bottled Beyond (review below) which is ginger and leather 🤔

Finally, a fragrance without tonka, vanilla, tobacco, or leather. A genuinely fresh direction – and honestly, how a men’s fragrance should smell. No sugar overload, no dessert vibes... just a great scent that actually smells like a perfume, not a pastry. Maybe this is the beginning of the end for the endless wave of overly sweet vanilla fragrances marketed to men. One can hope. I truly hope this one gets the recognition it deserves and becomes a permanent part of the collection – not just another limited edition that disappears too soon. I received a test sample, and after wearing it for two days, I simply couldn’t go another day without owning it. It’s just awesome.

This fragrance is an absolute safe buy. It feels very mature, gentlemanly, and genuinely pleasant to wear. The lavender is most noticeable during the first 10–20 minutes, but after that it becomes more mineral, clean, and fresh. My girlfriend can still smell it even after a full day, so I would say the performance and longevity are actually pretty good. To me, this is one of those fragrances that is not extremely loud or attention-seeking, but it is very versatile, classy, and easy to enjoy. I bought the 200 ml bottle for €115, which I think is a great deal. Overall, I can definitely recommend this fragrance.

I'm sorry but this fragrance is great in what it does. It's a 100% safe choice for everyday wear. Can't decide what to wear in the morning? Striking Lavender! Going to be getting sweaty doing manual labor? Striking Lavender! The scent overall is masculine showered clean. It would be nice if it would last longer but maybe then it wouldn't evaporate so cleanly when you get sweaty? When I first got Striking Lavender the opening was crazy harsh but not anymore. Did I get used to it or did it macerate from use? I don't know? I reach for this bottle without much thought. It just does what it does really well.

Very nice and safe blind buy Lavender for men, trust me it’s works on Women noses, but since i have 2 bottles of Issey Miyake Solar Lavender, it is gonna be overlap to have Masculine Lavender, Issey Miyake same SPL with this but the scent profile is very natural and subtle polite suits me better. But Striking Lavender perfect on Hot Humid Summer rather than Solar Lavender that perfect on Spring. Striking Lavender more into Barbershop vibes, meanwhile Solar Lavender is giving you like sitting on Lavender Field with Fresh river on the side with warm breeze air.

Not an amazing must have. The scent is as simple as a bodywash and nobody compliments you on your body wash except maybe whoever you're having sex with. It performs on the low end of moderate. It's an everyday, casual, spring-summer scent. I like it. I can't wait to see what Eddie has to say. He may not even bother.😄 Edit: During physical activity it performs very well in that it doesn't turn into something off putting. It just evaporates more quickly. That puts this into sport cologne category.

As a fan of fougeres and colognes akin to CK Eternity, this one definitely has the sparkling, clean profile I enjoy wearing as an office worker. I think I like this genre the most because it reminds me of my dad. Striking Lavendar is an awesome cologne with great longevity (4 sprays on undershirt and 2 on dress shirt and neck area) with around 6 hours before the scent slowly tapers off over the next few hours.

This stuff is so damn good. And under-the-radar, as well. Checks all the boxes. Versatile. People-pleasing. Easy to wear. Affordably priced. Adequate performance. Masculine. I can't honestly see a direct resemblance to anything in the reminds me of. Drawback? Limited edition, so once it is done it will be hard to find. Buying a couple backup bottles now.

I definitely smell violet here although its not mentioned in the notes. Any way, this smells very close to Roja dove Oceania but stronger and a bit metallic which makes it more masculine. the performance seems to be solid too. I like it since I love oceania and i think this is a good release from boss if you like lavender violet scents.

This perfume smells wonderful. Easy to use. But please, let's not make comments that could confuse people. This perfume smells exactly 0% similar to Roja Oceanía. When I say 0, I mean 0, not even a 1. I'm just saying this to avoid confusion. They are two completely different and opposite perfumes. With absolutely nothing in common.

I am lucky enough to already have had the opportunity to try and wear this fragrance (working in the industry).. and WOW! this smells great! Its beautifully sophisticated and gives the vibes of a true gentleman's cologne. Definitely 5 stars from me and the perfect 'spring time' fragrance when launched later in the year.

With 30% off this was a no brainer ! All the people saying basic are not wrong. But sometimes basic is perfect and this is that. Mineral lavender woodsy perfection. Fresh and Clean with no vanilla is rare these days. In a Sea of gourmands this is the boat I wanna be in this summer.

A nice fresh, clean fragrance which is office and gym friendly. A nice mineral note throughout with the lavender and woods. The projection is pretty good off my skin. A quick spritz of this after having a fresh trim and beard shape at the barbers is all good with me.

Really dig this one. It’s very lavender and very masculine in my mind. My wife really loves it. I feel like it can layer well with other stuff I have too. It’s light fresh and all around a great addition to my collection. Super happy with this pick up.

A modern fougere for 2026. Smells like Old Spice Whitewater... Opening with a fresh, sporty, blue vibe, it later settles into a mossy, woody base. How can I not love it?

This is a great classic fragrance, as more people get this and start to smell it, It’s gonna skyrocket up the charts.

This fragrance, if you'll excuse the pun, is strikingly simple. However while most would consider simplicity to be an insult, I find it to be a strength in this fragrance. This isn't some kitchen-sink fragrance with 20 different notes all fighting for dominance, this is a neatly crafted lavender fragrance with a bit of mineral and woodiness to cradle it. Some may compare it to shower gel but I don't find that to be a problem at all. This opens surprisingly sharp, but settles into a scent profile that no one could truly dislike. You could wear this on a day out during the summer, you could wear it to an event, you could even wear this as a daily office scent. It's simple, it's clean, it doesn't shout it's presence. If you can find this at a discounted price (like i did), I would definitely recommend picking it up.

Picked this up today and have given in a full wear. This is a very pedestrian, blue lavender shower gel scent. It's a safe scent and I feel like Boss could have don't much more with it. Big talk about these special lavender accords but there's nothing exceptional here. I'm a fan of many of the Hugo Boss scents back to Hugo Man. Seems to have taken a step back from the last couple of releases. It does last pretty well with good projection. If you are looking for a safe, clean, office friendly scent this will take care of business. I don't see this one gaining steam as more people try it.

This took me by surprise! Wasn't expecting much especially with a name like 'striking lavender' but honestly it's good. Nice balance of woods, minerals and of course lavender but it's not overpowering with it. The lavender is nicely balanced, not to sweet, not to sharp and its layered well with the other notes. Performance and projection is better than expected too. Addictive but linear profile. It will cook nicely in the summer.

It's like minty blue lavender shower gel, both fresh and light. Has a literal bubblegum aroma, turns quite powdery with some aquatic swimming pool vibes, then a chalky mineral drydown. Performance isn't bad, projects well at first, lingers on skin as a chalky aroma. It's modern and youthful, essentially unisex. Good for hot summer days. Did remind me of Versace "versus," Blue Jeans quite a bit at first.

To echo another reviewer, this is nice. It's nothing special but nice. A fun throwback if you will. It's a pretty simple fragrance. I'm thinking it's a similar wood backbone as last years bold citrus. The lavender comes across as synthetic (but good) and I believe that is intentional and what gives it the modern vibe for a throwback profile. Comes across as smooth and high quality to my nose.

This is nice, I have to balance those bad ratings. To me it’s almost a flanker to Bold Citrus, this is definitely juicy and tart even though it’s not mentioned. Only issue is that it feels a bit flat, after 2 or 3 hours, you're left with a pretty basic, soapy lavender smell. It’s indeed a fresh, easy to wear, early 2000’s type of clean out of the shower fragrance.

I have it, but it's wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too similar to Boss Bottled Beyond, which is annoying, I expected something completely different, instead, I got something virtually identical to something I already have. I can't objectively review the fragrance because I don't feel like it's unique and is merely Boss Bottled Beyond in a different bottle. I feel scammed...

Bought a 100ml at the airport, and its quite "blue". Lots of lavender in it, so not much different from most other blue freshies. It is high quality, though! At a time when most aquatic or aromatic freshies are synonymous whith EDT cheapies, this is reasonably classy. No surprises, but a solid grounded lavender scent with no spices or vanilla. Beautiful bottle.

Such an easy fragrance to wear and like. Perfect for warm/hot days. Performance is very moderate, so you will have to over spray for a bigger scent bubble. In the corners of the profile, there are facets of this fragrance that do remind me of BB Bold Citrus. But lavender is clearly the star of the show. Blind buy safe for every age group or demographic.

Despite the snobbery below, wearing this today i received several compliments and found the sillage to be quite large. This is a decent abiet simple fragrance that does what it says. Lavender with a synthetic mineral edge. Fun and pleasant to wear.

It's nice. The opening is like a really nice shower gel (in a good way), then it fades into the dry down pretty quickly. The dry down is the same as Boss Bottled Beyond. Safe blind buy.

I like it. Metallic, Mineral and Lavender scent. It lives in the realm of Fierce, but is not the same. Still you can see connection there. Great for warmer weather days.

Very nice, fresh lavender scent. Not too feminine. The mineral notes make this smell a bit ozonic. Nothing ground braking though. I still like it a lot.

BOSS BOTTLED STRIKINGLY LACKLUSTRE. As one reviewer said below... I reach for this bottle without much thought. Boss should have used that as the tag-line. Bland AF. Smells like 1990’s generic blue aftershave. You smell a flinty lavender but there’s also a sawdusty musk note and maybe a hint of desiccated coconut. If there was an attempt to smell petrichor-like it failed. It smells like it should have cost a tenner from Next, or like one of those Adidas scents you can get for £3.99 or a Lynx shower gel, It should really have come in a Football/T-shirt shaped bottle. Performance is good but nothing to write home about, over spraying will be necessary if you want more than 6 hours worth of skin scent, this would suit a 13 year old as his first aftershave or your grandfather. So bland it would be safe to wear anywhere. Summer Day scent. The perfect scent for when you want to say nothing. It’s not bad it just smells like ‘Teenager after a Saturday morning swimming lesson who's tried something blue at the shopping mall’. Way overpriced. Boss seems to be churning them out like Rasasi Hawas’ or Zara. Limited Edition so get it before it ends up on the bargain shelf at TK Maxx. I fear Boss’ winning streak is over and they are about to be relegated to the 2. Bundesliga 6/10.

The opening grants you with a burst of sharp, clean, fresh and super uplifting lavender. If the drydown had kept some of that lavender fueled intensity, I would have probably considered buying a bottle. But the "striking" first minutes soon turn into a slightly generic "clean bed sheets/soapy fresh" type of smell, in the vein of Boss Bottled Night. Not terrible by any means and probably perfect as a no brainer daily wear but somewhat disappointing in my opinion, considering the promising opening.

I was very excited about this one. After first applying it the opening is a gorgeous shower gel, nice and fresh and not overly sweet. And it stays like this for 6 hours or so. But then it dries down to a synthetic sweet smell that keeps on projecting and is most unpleasant for sleeping. On the plus side you do not get nose blind to this smell, but wish I would. I recommend it as a daily scent with fantastic fresh shower gel smell, but take an extra shower before bed time.

Sillage is very week for like the first 20 minutes you can smell it form a half a meter and after the 20 minutes mark its become a close skin scent. The scent is very lavendery but nothing too carzy smell pretty generic to me (not a specialist not soever). For right now i would not recommend 3/10 Pretty regreting that i bought it blind buy just because of the price

Not so striking as advertised. Not bad also. Since this will be available everywhere during 2026, go try it on any perfume store and make up your mind. I personally already have at least 3 fragrances that scratch the same vibe. Drakar Noir, Lomani, Fierce, Curve... These come to mind without thinking too much about it

The notes feel very unbalanced. The fragrance is dominated by mineral accords and a heavy dose of lavender. You can find many better lavender fragrances, even from Boss itself, like Boss The Scent Elixir.

Extremely generic, poor longevity and poor projection. Tried this twice, and honestly it’s just not giving much. It’s a take on sedley x Percival, but honestly just get Sedley.

Hyped for this one, missing a modern fougere from Boss. I'm all on board for a potential lavender trend. Save us from orange blossom vanilla amber.

My gosh, this perfume stinks! The opening is a generic lavender mix with a cheap and weird aromatic whatever... but the dry down is so bad that remember effervescent vitamin C: too sharp and a cheap synthetic mess.

Pretty bad honestly. Opens generic and synthetic, then turns into this sharp, artificial lavender that smells like those anti-moth/lavender pads. Not a fan at all. 1/10

Smelled it quickly on store. It was just basic men's shower gel like smell. Very boring and I would not buy it.
