Boss Intense Shimmer Edition

Its been in my perfume drawer for ages, but still cant use, cloged nozel, although its a great perfume that I really like, bit heavy but its a night kind a perfume

Category: Floral, woody, musky (clean) Notes: Sprays on very citrusy (perhaps from the rose) but is quickly overtaken by a clean, modern jasmine and a refreshing, nearly photorealistic rose with lots of citrusy twang. This clearly rests on a woody base, but I can’t say it is immediately apparent as either amber, vanilla or sandalwood. The styrax is there - very floral, mildly woody, and the patchouli adds a sweet, earthy depth. More prominent to me in the base is an unlisted musk, the clean shampoo-y kind. The overall scent impression is floral, clean, classy and a little sensual. Vibe: Fountain. Baptismal font. Rose garden. Climbing vines. Ripples in water. Fresh mountain air. Burberry scarf. Black suede medium-heeled boots. Black trenchcoat. Black sunglasses. Jeans. Business meetings. Facetiming. AW drinks. Gloves. Clutch bag. Sillage: 8/10. Great sillage in my opinion, projects beyond arm’s length but not by much and never becomes overwhelming or headache/nausea-inducing. Longevity: 7/10. Lasts about 6-7 hours which I think is fine in this case, especially cause the sillage remains quite potent throughout. Wear: Day or night. This definitely works for both spring and fall, but I think it'd be most suitable for early fall - think a cool, crisp September morning. Very feminine and I’d say suitable for a large age range of 20-50. Office approved if used sparingly, one or two sprays goes a long way. Overall rating: 7.5/10. And here I was, thinking I’m not a fan of rose... Here? Absolutely exquisite. Nothing about the notes here would key you in to just how refreshing this scent is - I expected this to be a vanilla/amber heavy fragrance with a lot of heft and a sticky sort of sweetness, but there’s none of that. Instead I am met with a bouquet of lush, airy and zesty roses, clean and modern jasmine without a hint of indole and a delicately sweet, sensual patchouli and mildly shampoo-y musk. The entire composition can perhaps best be described as romantic - very crisp, floral and musky with a sensual undercurrent. I am normally not a huge fan of what I would dub as “clean girl” scents, but this one is beautiful - it has just the right level of adult, slightly dirty patchouli in there to not feel like just another shower product, and the longer it stays on the more woodiness and heft develops while still remaining very clean. The styrax here is insanely floral and mildly woody, certainly not what I’d describe as balsamic or ambery, and retains the floral fraicheur throughout. Overall I find this fragrance very sexy and feminine without ever feeling sleazy. A hidden gem for sure. Who would wear it?: Angelina Jolie as Mrs. Smith in Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

Had it ~6 years ago, bought it because I liked the bottle. Very strong, recognizable and not a 'feel good' scent. I agree with Kimbo - the shimmer did get stuck in the spray and made it hard to use every time. Also, I filled my atomizer once with it for travelling, I still have that atomizer and it still smells of this fragrance a lot! I tried washing it with all kinds of detergents and soaps during the years, but it never fades. It is unbelievable. Wasn't a great buy for me.

It's taken me several wearings to grow into this and I still would not say it is anywhere near my favourite perfume. On first two or three wearings I was put off by a very strong undertone that is reminiscent of Male Aftershave, a note that reminds me of hair oil, which I really hate. On further wearings, this is still there, and I still dislike it, but I've grown to enjoy the strong spicy elements which just about make it acceptable. I shall use it, but I cannot say I really enjoy it, and basically, it isn't really my type of perfume. To me, there is something quite male about it and this is just not my scene. I think if the strong and enjoyable spicy notes were balanced better by fruit or flowers it would be much better. Maybe Boss should stick to making aftershave. Shame really.

I love this, I have the Hugo Boss Intense one but I prefer this. :) Plus, I didnt find the shimmer clogging up the nozzle. But thats just me.

this was gifted to me 2 christmases ago.. i think. i use it more as a subtle body shimmer then perfume. great for photo ops.

The spray gets clogged up with the sparkles in it!!!...Shame...
