BOSS The Collection Silk & Jasmine

Finally I pulled the trigger and blind bought silk & jasmine. I needed some wearings to get used to it. Its a very different fragrance. The smell is like nothing I have tried before. The notes are easy to pick up: the jasmine, cloves and honey. Some vanilla, but very quiet. The fragrance is very subtle on my skin. Very soft and peaceful. This become one of the scents which I use in contexts when I dont want the parfume to be loud, but still want to smell good, like in a classroom. Similar use as molecule 01. Tips! Silk and jasmin is very good layering with molecule 01. The notes are getting brighter, especially the jasmine become more prominent and yummy! The soft flowers and honey get a woody base that suits this fragrance very well. Some men says its too feminin for them, and I also heard a woman said that it was too masculin for her. This is subjective, but imo its very unisex. All have their personal preferences, but to my nose silk and jasmine would not be strange to smell on either a man or woman. The scent is a bit mysterious. Gives me the image of a black tropical night with a bright full moon and billions of stars. The full moon enlighten a green jasmine tree and the white flowers are dancing in the subtle breeze. You get a feeling of inner peace. You look up on the stars and wonder whats up there. Very unique offering charcterized by a inviting smell and very (!) soft subtle (I guess better word should be "silky") texture. Got a love from me. Edit: I love this more and more each wearing. And I sometimes perceive the fragrance differently. Sometimes honey is the main player, other times its like another review said like a fresh cut apple. And most of the time the jasmine is the star. I love jasmine when its done right in mens fragrances. Hugo Boss nailed it, but Amouage is another example with their amazing Reflection man.

First Impression Does anyone here know who is the nose, is that Bertrand Duchaufour? From what I can tell and what I've learn, Silk & Jasmine just does link Penhaligon's Sartorial to Amouage Jubilation XXV Man , or vice versa. Similar evidences also can be seen in Velvet Ambre for bridging Dzongkha and Sartorial to a tabacco-amber combo, as well as Damask Oud for brigding LAP Al Oudh and something I do not know... I will try it more to get a further review, but at least, as far as I have already known, Silk Jasmine is a balsamic fougere in the nuance of metallic vibe, and surely interesting and creative! --------- Update: Sep, 2025 Don't let the name Silk & Jasmine mislead you. This fragrance from the Hugo Boss Collection is less of a floral scent and much more of a typical fougère. The scent profile here is quite interesting; while it initially feels strikingly close to the iconic Penhaligon's Sartorial , a deeper look reveals a more nuanced position. It successfully captures the core ambiance of aromatic lavender and steamed fabrics, but replaces the sharp, metallic note of Sartorial with a soft layer of vanilla. This shift in detail moves the fragrance's character away from Sartorial's "workshop" and towards something more comfortable. If Sartorial (2010) is a fougère of hot irons and crisp textiles that is on the left , and MDCI's Invasion Barbare (2005) —another fougere in the genre—that is on the right , then Silk & Jasmine lands squarely in their middle(-left) spectrum: a simpler, more direct hybrid of the two. The key takeaway, however, is the price. When found at a clearance price, it is significantly more affordable than the other two. Rating: 7-7.5/10

Excellent fragrance for the more discerning man. Love the sweetness and gentleness of this fragrance. (Silk and Jasmin is sweet but not cloying.) Although it's in the name this is less floral and more amber warm. The honey is light and it's deliciously perfect. If only it lasted longer and projected better. Fragrantica has claimed the 'warm spicy' accord to this. Maybe they meant warm. Maybe because clove is one of the notes although I get no clove at all from this perfume. It's definitely not spicy in any way, shape or form. I agree that this is linear but the dry down does remind me of Van Cleef and Arpels Ambre Imperial's dry down but much lighter and a touch sweeter. I would have to rate it 5/10 (half way there) but still love it like it's a 9/10 gem. My only 2 cons are: 1. the clove note is near non-existent. (I love the smell of cloves. It's why I love M.Micallef's Gaiac so much.) 2. longevity and sillage are disappointing for such an expensive fragrance.

I have tried this and it was instant love, it does remind me about L'Instant de Guerlain for woman, but people, this is one of the most beautiful and soft smell that I have ever encountered. It's really delicious, smells like a fresh cut apple mixt with a cream made from jasmine and honey, it has a comforting and calming effect. It is a perfume with taste and is for somebody who don't really want to get attention. Good perfomance too! Hugo Boss Collection - Silk & Jasmine can be described as simple, soft, creamy, silky! For a man with good taste and good manners. I give a 8.5 out of 10

A wearable, elegant scent, warm, well rounded, ‘dusty’, and sophisticated. There is a languid creaminess of jasmine - not indolic. A restrained smokeyness of honey - not sweet. Pretty darn perfect. Sexy and relaxed on a woman. A scent that makes you want to get-close to class and intelligence. On the right man, it might drive nearby hormones through the roof. Wish my bottle was twice the size. Love.

nothing can touch this, some might think its to simple, but that just adds to the sexiness. Sometimes less is really more. Amazing they tuned this so perfectly the clove never gets brash or acidy, its perfectly interviewed between the rest of the notes to help lift this baby up and create this groundness too it, almost gingerbread man smell when mixed with the honeyed jasmine.

The smell of Jasmine brings me back to my aunt's garden and is a great comfort for me. This is the first Jasmine scent that I have come across which works for me as a man. The scent is sophisticated and well done. Friends who are perfume addicts like myself, immediately recognize it as exceptional. The entire Boss Collection of these fragrances is very nice: )

If you enjoy by Kilian Back to Black but you're looking for that scent with a more masculine vibe this is one to reach for. the honey vanilla mixture is a potent Elixir when combined with the clove. It creates a sensual dare I say sexual environment.

Loved it , gotta 20ml decant and now waiting for the bottle to reach me. This will always be in my closet.. Edit : gotta bottle... worth every penny ... amazing work scent imo.. got few compliments too

A masculine jasmine––a rare find, indeed. Simple, elegant, masculine, linear, and long-lasting. Great stuff. It is unfortunate that they discontinued it.

I'd say it's unisex. It does project well, for the first hour and a half. Jasmine w/ touches of vanilla and light honey. Beautiful scent by Hugo Boss!!

Balanced honey and jasmine. Not cloying though sweet, soft without being feminine. Outstanding.

What an amazing scent!!! This has become my favorite cologne quickly. I think it's a masterpiece. Beautiful Jasmine floral with honey and vanilla. It's sweet but not too much. And it's also very light. I do wish the projection was larger and the longevity was better. I get 4-5 hours out of it with projection lasting only about an hour before becoming a skin scent. I don't get any vanilla till the dry down. Then I get a soft powdery note from it also. Super classy and elegant. This is a LOVE fragrance for me. Loved it from first sniff. Doesn't seem to be too reviewed or mentioned much. I guess it's sort of a hidden gem. Definitely can be a unisex scent I think. Price depending on where you get it, is on average around $70. Not super cheap but not super expensive. I do wish the price was a little lower to around the $50 range. I don't need an expensive presentation with a fancy box etc. that this comes with and that I think makes it cost more. I just want the bottle no frills needed for me. I was able to buy a tester for a little cheaper and it just came in a plain white box. That's all I need.

I LOVE this fragrance! It's fresh and clean with a light powdery scent. The honey and vanilla are blended beautifully together for a smooth, sensual and relaxing finish. It's like sex in a bottle! The only downside is that it's very expensive. A 50 ml bottle is currently priced at $140 and they do not manufacture a 100ml bottle.

Very beautiful Jasmine scent. Its light but strong enough that hours later you can still smell it. For a guy who wears a lot of heavy scents, this is a nice change of place. A scent I plan on taking with me on my honeymoon.

Cloying sweet vanillic honey (or the opposite maybe?). That's what I get, and that's nearly all I will get. The jasmine? well... trained noses may vaguely spot it in the drydown, but it's nothing to rave about. Cloves? Probably part of the blend, and only a good imagination will enable people to see its shadow in the late drydown. I can see more a college girl wearing that one than a mature man. Yes, because imo, this one leans feminine (or you know, "unisex" as per today's marketing wording). I bought great stuff in the past in the $20-40 range, so even for just the $35 I've spent for that, I don't think it's a good deal, honestly. As I said before, a woman may have a slightly diverging opinion on that one. That said, I have to agree with the previous reviewer, in that it smells synthetic, and that poor projection and average longevity are not helping either. Damask Oud gave me great hopes for this line, Velvet&Amber was good (even if not groundbreaking), but this one woke me up from my dream, and just reminded me of the sad reality: this is just a Hugo Boss fragrance, too bad! That said, should you be looking for a no thrill basic crowdpleasing honey/vanilla, that's it.

کیفیت شیشه: 7 / 10 کیفیت رایحه : 8.5 / 10 پخش بو: 9 / 10 ماندگاری: 8.5 / 10 سری کاملا متفاوت و البته خاص با روایحی نو و ساخته شده برای آنها که به معمولی رضایت نداده و خواهان بهترین ها هستند. یکی از این خانواده سیلک اند جزمین نام داشت با رایحه ای گلبو و شیرین اما برای آقایان که به هیچ وجه معمول نیست! در بهترین حالت میتوان این عطر را قابل استفاده برای هر دو جنس دانست الی الخصوص به خاطر نت یاسمین غالب آن. رایحه با نت غالب عسل شروع میشود که بینهایت ملایم و طبیعیست که با همراهی نت یاسمین حالتی رویایی و مخملی پیدا کرده. هر چه میگذرد از شیرینی کار کاسته شده و به مخملی بودن رایحه اضافه میشود که از اثرات وجود نت میخک در پس زمینه میباشد. رایحه تغییرات زیادی نداشته و در کل در دسته خطی جای میگیرد که به نظر با توجه کیفیت بسیار بالای رایحه انتخابی هوشمندانه است. شیشه ساده و خوش دست و جمع و جور طراحی شده و بسته بندی آن از کارهای معمولی هوگو باس بسیار چشم نواز تر است. پخش بو و ماندگاری نقطه قوت این عطر حساب شده و از بابت پول پرداختی شما را راضی و حتی خوشنود خواهد کرد. در پایان به طرفدارهای هوگو باس خرید این سری الی الخصوص این مدل توصیه مشود حتی با توجه به قیمت بالا و حجم 50 میل.

This perfume surprised me. I,m not a boss fan but i was curious at the collection so i,ve tried a couple of samples. This has a very gentle aura and i,m surprised that musk isn,t listed due to the musky feel it generates. It is nothing new and smells familiar. It is very safe, refined and touched by a little sweetnes. Vanilla and jasmine are very subtle here. Like the others of the collection line this also is an inoffensive perfume. The description of being inspired on fine materials and textures on tailored suits is deservedly. At least it is not inspired on being an energetic superman who concurs the world and that kind of crap. It really has a silky smoothness. Longevity was around 6 hours and projection was medium. It,s quite lineair but in this case that,s a good thing. I am surprised that this is marketed for men as i would think this is for women. It smells good and i don,t notice any obvious synthetics. For me, i prefer my scents with a little more character and uniqueness. I,m sure young lady,s will like this stuff.
