THE SONG OF THE POORLY LOVED [short review] Poorly Loved (definition): Someone whose love is unrequited. "The Song of the Poorly Loved" is perhaps Guillaume Apollinaire's most cherished poem. It is based on his failed courtship with a young English girl. In Germany, he had met and fallen in love with an English beauty named Annie Playden. Later, he visited her in London intending to marry her. Unfortunately, she had different life plans and emigrated to America. The poetic action written by Apollinaire begins in November, in a London misty autumn. The romantic Apollinaire courted Annie until the late spring. He was then rejected by his beloved. Apollinaire departed from London and returned to Paris after having given up all his hopes. In the poem, his shattered passion is compared to the legend of the phoenix bird. It revolves around Apollinaire's efforts to resurrect his life after his unhappy love story. Not being matched by Annie has been a serious blow to his ego as an artist. Apollinaire was one of the greatest poets of the early 20th century, one of the most passionate proponents of Cubism, and an ancestor of Surrealism. He became one of the most popular members of Paris' artistic community, which reigned in the Belle Èpoque' Montmartre and Montparnasse districts. His friends included such names as Pablo Picasso, Henri Rousseau, Jean Cocteau, Erik Satie and Marc Chagall, among others. "The Scent for Him" is also a sad case of a "Poorly Loved" fragrance. In 2015, the perfume was launched in fanfare by Hugo Boss but lacked a positive response from users. The fragrance was designed around a particular scented fruity note called Maninka, an African fruit that has a nutty aroma and smells like strawberries dipped in chocolate. This exquisite olfactory ingredient was first used in perfumery by Hugo Boss. The unwanted result is that it shocked the brand's purists, who were still strongly attached to the excellent and powerful "Boss Number One" and the eclectic "Boss Bottled". The new fragrance was technically well-designed and very "well-dressed" in a very eye-catching presentation. Unfortunately, it was aimed at a crowd of traditionalist Boss customers not really prepared for that innovation. They didn't identify with that perfume, which was a little oriental, a little woody, but strangely a completely fruity "thing". Following the brand's initial plan, "The Scent Parfum Edition for Him" was released two years later, but with very little success as well. Boss' marketing division tried to correct that first misstep with the launch of "The Scent Intense for Him" version in late 2017. In this perfume, the opening ginger note was intensified, as was the leather note in the base. A vanilla note was also introduced for a more consensual sweetness and an increase in "orientality". I quite like this version, but the brand's loyal followers rejected this "make-up" flanker, even if it was very well-conceived. It was merely a case of unrequited love, as happened with Apollinaire a century earlier. By launching "The Scent Private Accord for Him" in 2018, Hugo Boss aimed at a serious attempt to boost "The Scent" perfume line. The woody and oriental orientation of the scent, as well as the unusual heart note of Maninka fruit, were preserved. But the Private Accord fragrance project was bold in the proposed change. At the heart, coffee beans, pepper and pineapple replaced a disconnected lavender note. The odd maninka note was retained. The base was enhanced with cocoa absolute and resins, which replaced the overly serious leather note. The perfume remained fruity but became even sweeter, bolder, more oriental, and more innovative than previous versions. Unfortunately, the performance was under-average and certainly inferior to the one exibithed in the Intense version. Whether due to the quality of the perfume, the charm of the bottle, the new bold fruitiness, or its sweet orientality, Boss lovers forgave the presence of the maninka note and started using this reinvented "The Scent Private Accord for Him". The fragrance has also attracted new customers to the brand. However, there was still no talk of real success. The sales curve of the Scent family never reached the figures Hugo Boss was aiming for. As far as I am concerned, I like this perfume. However, I confess that I prefer the Intense previous version. This phoenix-like strategy continues to chase greater praise from perfume lovers. Over the past years, Hugo Boss has expanded the product line by adding "The Scent Absolute for Him" in 2019, "The Scent Pure Accord for Him" in 2021, "The Scent Le Parfum for Him" in 2022, "The Scent Magnetic for Him" in 2023 and "The Scent Elixir for Him" in 2024. Despite these efforts, the Private Accord version still meets the preferences of the customers from this Boss perfume line. However "The Scent Magnetic for Him" - a gourmand fragrance that smells of freshly baked cookies of raspberry and maninka - and "The Scent Elixir for Him"- a spicy fruity scent added with lavender and sandalwood - seem to have brought some joy to the Boss sales. Hmmm, this was suppose to be a smell of freshly baked cookies to a women's nose. The problem is, it's watered down to shit. The tester in the store had a thicker richer scent. This 200ml bottle i bought is def. more watered down, really disappointed cause i was initially excited about the bottle i ordered and was eagerly awaiting for it all week. Mid notes of a hint of traditional Hugo DNA which consists of red apple (which you need in the dry-down to lift-up & brighten the gourmand scents), mixed with a chocolate vibe among a few other notes, a hint of coffee and vanilla along with some kind of powder, and the slightest little hint of the note of retro pink bubblegum but you'd have to have a nose of a truffle pig to pick up on it. And only noticeable on teh skin, there is a small final note of green leaf in the end dry-off, which is actually kinda pleasant and works beautifully with the rest of the frag dna. I really think this frag is masterly done! Don't let the retail designer old name of Hugo fool you, this is a great dna & frag!! The frag has a watered-down viscosity to it, and here's the thing, normally id think that's a bad thing, but ive noticed my thicker viscosity frags are so strong that it exhausts my olfactory system after wearing them all month, and sometimes i have a physical need to give it a break, so this frag is a gourmand without the viscosity of one, which actually is a bonus and a grateful attribute. This scent combo really works, and could be a monster hit, but because it's watered down it BELOW PAR. They fucked up, if this was more richer and 'thicker' of a gourmand scent it would be a monster hit. Disappointed. Released in 2018, my bottle is 2020, is this another victim of watered-down reformulation to fool themselves in widening profit margins? Hmmmm... I like it a lot, but don't love due to it not being richer & more projective. I only paid $35US for a 100ml bottle which is fantastic, but if im going for a gourmand scent, id want something spectacular, and this isn't it, this is a poor man's gourmand. Which means, id recommend this would be wonderful for a student of any age. I can't see myself grabbing for this once i discover the god-tier gourmands. *Edit: It's been over a month since i bought it, haven't grabbed it once. *2nd Edit 1.5 months later: Wore it today while shopping at Walmart, it's pretty good, just smells like a discounted designer frag, and im on a new level in my frag game where if i want a gourmand im going to wear something that is rich and packs a punch and is deliciously intoxicating. This is just 'okay'. Same genre as Rochas Man, and same opinion about it. Honestly id wait for this to be a cheap discounter before buying. It's nothing to rave about. *Edit: 2 Months later: Need to decide if im going to keep this bottle or resell it as i invested money into it. Wore it tonight on my Kanye hoodie clothes and not my skin this time during our first cold icy winter night. Wow, immediately & CONSTANTLY getting whiffs of it even without moving around in my car! It smells really good!....lol Think Cocca + Apple Cinnamon + Ginger + Musk. The pH level of the musk is flawlessly addictively balanced! The nose behind this creation nailed it! Like most Hugo frags, this one is also extremely linear and hard to pick out notes as they all blended together for a unique scent. You can def smell the classic and fabulous Hugo 'Green' frag as it's base in the background. For the price when on sale/discount it's a fantastic dumb-reach buy! It's synthetic but doesn't smell sickly cloyingly synthetic, making it a fantastic designer frag. I don't actually have anything like this in my collection that smells like this light gourmand, so, im keeping it! Smells FANTASTIC on clothes and lasts forever unlike when on skin! I now actually really recommending this frag! Perfect for a student as young girls undeveloped noses would go crazy for this! Again, with testing, turns out this frag's magic happens when sprayed on clothes and on a cold day. *3rd Edit 3 months later: Holy fuck this is the best frag i own for the stone-cold winter! <3 In bone-chilling air, it produces the most intoxicatingly delicious bouquet giving you constant whiffs of fresh baked cookies and some kind of next-gen floral that's sexy-masculine. My 'hey i like to cuddle' personality type scent for out in public. I can't stop wearing this all week! I get constant whiffs and every time i do i say 'YUM!'. One of my fav notes in some frags is amber, quality amber that constantly radiates giving you whiffs of the goodness you're wearing. And with that being said, im almost positive there is a ingredient of radiant amber in this frag not listed. One of my most favorite frags i own. Hated it during the summer, obsessively in love during the stone cold winter days where this thing is a monster! <3 This frag is slept-on like a mf! Im absolutely in love with this, addicted, cant believe this is a designer frag! 5/5 Woofs!

Just found this in the wild yesterday on sale for only $39.99 for the 50ml and couldn't resist snatching it up. Smells so freakin' good. My first Hugo Boss fragrance and I'm really impressed. I might need to explore more from the house now. Giving it my first full wearing today. Will update later on performance. UPDATE*** So, this stuff is really, really good. If the rumors of its discontinuation are correct, I'm pretty surprised because it's a fantastic fragrance. Maybe people just aren't hyped and sales are too low. I'm thrilled to have this in my collection, either way. So, it lasted on my skin well over 12 hours. I did spray a bit heavy but that's neither here nor there. It lasted a good long while on my skin. Projection was great for the first 2.5-3 hours before it started to settle in closer to the skin but sillage and scent trails were fantastic for the first 7 to 8 hours. I work in a warehouse dock office and it's cold in Montreal, Canada. Every time a warehouse employ would open the door and a draft would come into the room, it immediately sent the fragrance about the air and brought it back to my nose. I love it when a fragrance can do that. You start to think that it's gone because it's no longer projecting but then a nice breeze hits in just the right way and you smell it. THERE IT IS, you think to yourself. Never fails to bring a smile to my face, no matter the fragrance I'm wearing. This is a male marketed fragrance but honestly, to my nose it smells completely unisex. Anyone could pull this one off. And it's better suited for colder months. Overall, I'm really, really impressed and feel really lucky to have scored this bottle for such a great price. This shoots to the top of my list of favorite designer fragrances for sure.

Ok so I'd figured I'd write about this now that I've actually been able to wear it. *Disclaimer* I'm a college student who's smelt about 10 different fragrances, when I knew what they were. So Anyways This is based off of 5 sprays, 2 on each side of my neck and on on the back of my hair. The opening: Main notes I get are a tart note, which I assume is the Bergamot and/or the Pineapple. It's mostly chocolate/cocoa for me, which is why I bought it so. But it's not a smooth chocolate, it's slightly powdery, which many people have said that the Maninka fruit is powdery so. For the first 30 mins or so it's headachy strong, but afterwards it's fine. Mid: Tart fruity part is gone, gets slightly spicy, which would have to be the pepper. Still sweet cocoa mostly tho. Maybe a little darker though which I assume is the coffee, but I don't get much at all sadly. Drydown: Less chocolate/cocoa sweet and more vanilla sweet, which makes sense since vanilla and benzoin are in the base. Cocoa/chocolate is still there, just a lot less strong than the mid and definitely the opening. Overall, good chocolate scent. I think it would be nice if there was A: more coffee, B: more pepper, or C: A & B. But it smells really good to me. Performance is good, 1-2 hours I can really smell it, lasts for another 4-5 after that. Which I'm fine with bc it's an EDT so. But yea I'ma give it a solid 8/10 scent, 7/10 performance. But again basically a complete noob if not for YouTube and all of y'all on this site so take this with a MASSIVE grain of salt. Like, Himalayan salt brick size. TL;DR: Good chocolate based scent that starts out cocoa/chocolate based sweet and moves to vanilla based sweet. Projects for 1-2 hours lasts 5-6. Based off of 5 sprays

I blind bought this beauty couple months ago. First time I sprayed on my left forearm and another on the wrist, I couldn’t figure out right away but it’s something subtle but nice. Then I was chasing that initial whiff or aroma but I guess I really have to put my nose closer or it could be my nose. I got nose blinded right away probably because I have tested other new fragrances from my collection that day. Yes it’s my nose. So I put this in the back burner for awhile and I thought I revisit it today. Tried it the second time around, also to make sure it wasn’t fake. I gave my left bicep a couple of spray so my nose could easily reach for it. This time I could clearly smell it, yet it’s not that strong or beast mode to my nose. After a minute or so, I’m catching the whiff. As it settles, I thought it’s something different from scents I smelled before and I love it. Wow! this is a very beautiful manly scent, simply gorgeous. The synergy of notes, cacao (chocolate), coffee, ginger, pineapple, vanilla, etc. creates this gorgeous aroma that's so sexy to me. As a gourmand lover, I just recently fell in love with cacao and coffee notes after I purchased Halloween Man X. Some reviewers compared this to Salvatorre Ferragamo Uomo and Signature, both I also own because of that coffee and tiramisu vibe. I’ll update once I get the wifey's feedback. But I will overspray I don’t care 😁 great to wear and perfect for this season till early spring next year. Such a beauty worthy to be in my collection. 10/10 please 👍👍👍 “Let us spread the scents of peace and kindness. Hugo Boss Boss The Scent Private Accord is a scent that I do love but find I do not wear nearly enough. I love the fragrance don't get me wrong, it just it is seasonally a problem where I live. I live in Arizona and after about mid-March, the weather does not work with warmer days. Because I do not wear it as often, this slipped my radar when it came to making a review. Boss The Scent Private Accord opens similar to its original fragrance, ginger and bergamot. Ginger is much heavier than the citrus. In the mid, it goes somewhat leathery with the manika fruit which is the unique note of The Scent fragrances. The manika is pared with coffee and a slight pepper. The base is cacao, vanilla and wood heavy with a very slight resinous benzoin. I do not notice pineapple, patchouli and amberwood. Boss The Scent Private Accord is largely a sweet smelling gourmand. It isn't overly sweet though. Many find that as a problem for gourmands or even sweet fragrances in general like Code, 1 Million, Invictus, etc. Private Accord does not have that. The sweet smell is frather elegant and balanced. Boss The Scent Private Sccord is really relegated to fall and winter. That said, with Arizona having 70 degree days, I honestly feel Private Accord doesn't work as a day scent. Longevity is pretty good at about 6 hours. Ifeel Private Accord works best as a date scent. Hugo Boss Boss The Scent Private Accord really is nice but it is a rare love that I rate lower than my thresshold. It isn't as low as Playboy New York but rather more like almost there, but I love none the less. I rathe Private Accord a 7.8 out of 10. It is rather unique and stands out but is too thick for my normal use of fragrances.

The Scent Private Accord is an attractive and intoxicating scent. An opening of sharp, fresh spices and zest is joined by a deeper cocoa note. Maninka fruit's intoxicating sweetness gradually seeps in, balancing the punchy ginger from the earlier minutes. As the zest recedes and the Maninka grows, the cocao accord grows powerful. Vanilla sweetness and a lightly roasted coffee combine to create an impression of latte, which mixes with the cocoa & Maninka to become a spiced chocolate/mocha accord. This gourmand mocha accord is boosted by aromachemicals. An amber heat and the occasional whiff of artificial cedar hints at a booster layer of odorants which turbo charge this gourmand presentation. The use of Maninka here is controlled - refer to The Scent Absolute for the final say in Maninka bombing - though, with the addition of vanilla/coumarin in the base, this scent is sweeter than its predecessors in The Scent line. The use of coffee to complement The Scent's DNA works well - this is repeated in the later The Scent Absolute for Her. Maninka and Cocoa complement each other in an unexpectedly enjoyable way, and marries smoothly into the gourmand presentation built by coffee and vanilla, boosted by synth woods. Projection is good, but durability is poor for an EdT. Overall, an interesting addition to The Scent line-up. This is a delectable, sensual and masculine mocha gourmand. Not only do I like the smell, this scent is widely appealing to females too - a compliment getter if it gels with your skin. Along with the Absolute version, the Private Accord is my favourite in the line. I eagerly await an EdP version.

A DESIGNER SCENT WITH AN UNIQUE ACCORD (short review) It seems that the THE SCENT Boss family of fragrances has always given rise to uncertainty among fragrance lovers. The whole THE SCENT line has been underestimated in my opinion. Probably The Scent Private Accord is one of the best examples of this (exaggerated) market reaction. The main issue seems to be the Maninka note throughout the range... it's too fruity, too new, too unique and too different! It's a perfect perfume for the colder months or summer evenings. It's a warm, seductive and sexy fragrance, with notes of chocolate and coffee, as well as a fresh and fruity background. The presentation is spectacular, the quality is high and the performance is above average. The perfume surprised me positively. It's original, intriguing, balanced and well blended. I like the character of this perfume, similar to Dior's ‘savoir faire’. Overall, the perfume is chill and very good. Among the perfumes I know, it's probably the closest to D&G The One For Men or Azzaro Wanted By Night. However, Private Accord is more relaxed and easier to wear. MY OPINION: With such a nice presentation and overall quality, this perfume deserves at least that we try it with "serious intentions". On my side, It is a perfume I enjoy very much to own and use. If you don't know the maninka note, you really should allways try the scent before any blind purchase. That applies to all THE SCENT family of perfumes. MUSIC: Nina Simone - "Forbidden Fruit"

I remember first time i tried this scent about then when it arrived to finland stores and remember likin it lot that it smelled lot of maninka,cacao and coffee. Now i have bottle of it few months and i think its very nice scent and it mostly smell on my skin,clothes and nose benzoin type of vanilla and woody notes and bit cacao and fruity notes. That suits me fine because benzoin is one of my favourite note. Smells delicious very sweet but manly. But i do not like that much the first smells after sprayin it to skin .maybe its the coffee note its dry and strong but it disappears guickly and its not too bad afterall . Also first few days when i tried it i was bit confused because it remind me of at least 3 different fragrances. but it was kinda pleasant and confusin experience. All fragrances it reminded i like those fragrances a lot.then i get also lot of ginger note wich is also one of my favourite note.I think many time it smells bit different but always this benzoin vanilla. Also when the scent stays my clothes especially adidas winter jacket It just smells amazin so good and juicy vanilla gourmand.. Overall very nice benzoin woody,fruity bit spicy seductive,scent my opinion and feels comfortable to wear it.Sweet but masculin definitely.

I was wearing this fragrance (freshly applied) in a library and I ended up sitting in the same table with a group of girls who were hanging out 2-3 metres away. Things went crazy when some of them—out of the blue—said "Oh my God do you smell that? It's so good!!" "Yeah I can smell that as well!" "Whose perfume is that??". It's at that moment I realized the magic of having a seductive fragrance. Although despite the blind compliments, I decided to stay cool and not saying anything, just wanted to keep them curious and guessing since there were a couple of guys there haha. Been wearing it for 7 months now so here's my take: Scent: sexy and mysterious, very appealing to some people as long as the temperature is cold Longevity: 6-9 hours Projection: fills a room in the first 15 minutes then dials back to become an arm length for the next 2 hours Sillage: leaving me a good scentrail Overall score: 9/10 ! Hugo Boss The Scent Private Accord holds a special place in my heart. It is my first designer blindbuy and what takes me to the fragrance game—will keep this gem for life!

I purchased all 4 in the Scent line. This is my 3rd one I’m trying. I’ve enjoyed the original and the absolute. This falls within the The Scent’s DNA. I don’t know how to say this but this is straight up very seductive. I’m not sure if it’s the maninka fruit which carries across on the line. The cocoa is definitely very prominent. I can detect the vanilla but it’s mixed so well that with the other notes it makes this sweet smelling. My problem with this is I want to consume this fragrance and I can easily go heavy handed on this. I fell into the trap if one spray is good then 10 is better! I’m carrying this scent like an aura of chocolatey goodness. I own the Valentino line where chocolate/cocoa is present but Private Accord is not that. I can’t compare this to Dior Homme because I haven’t tried it. If your nose is keen to a mild chocolate mix with coffee and vanilla with an every so slight fruitiness than this is 100% buy it now purchase. Btw this was a blind buy.

The more I wear this cologne the more I love it. I think the original Scent is an underrated designer frag and Private Accord manages to take everything that's good about the OG and makes it even better. There's a depth and richness here that's missing from the original, and I find it intoxicating. The opening is so good, you can smell warm dark chocolate off the skin, wafts of roasted coffee. Even though it's kind of sweet, Private Accord is still very balanced and never strays into sickly-sweet or saccharine territory. It's definitely more of a nighttime, colder weather, intimate kind of scent though. This is a great designer frag that I find myself reaching for frequently. It requires no thought, smells super cozy, and everyone seems to love smelling it on me. The only downside I find here is it doesn't last too long on my skin - I always blast my clothes with this stuff to keep it around longer.

Gourmand chocolaté and a super masculine shower gel scent in one bottle?that right there is gold! I love This fragrance so much I use it for special occasions. There’s something so masculine about this one You can rock this in summer and winter and whenever you want it’s that good. I personally pair it with Ck in 2u for him cuz of the common cacao note but it adds a sharp edge to it and both have the same perfumer which is good. Sadly I heard it’s on its way to be discontinued and that’s a major L from Hugo Boss because this is such a banger in a day and age where ppl hype up Dior sauvage and what not. I get a decent longevity on skin but a good longevity somewhere around 7-9 hours(3+ hours more than usual cuz I aged my bottle)on fabric and 2 hours on skin. But it projects good tho Longevity:7.5/10 Sillage:8/10 Projection:8/10 Price:7/10 Worth buying? Yes get a bottle if you don’t mind spending

To my nose, this is a gourmand fragrance for those who do not like gourmand fragrances, and a great intro for those who are beginning to appreciate them. Not usually a Hugo Boss fan, though I have a few, I really like this one. It's very fruity up top and slightly musty and chocolatey. Not a lot of stages or development, just stops screaming after the first 2 hours. The maninka and pineapple are a great change from the other HB scents I enjoyed in my teens and twenties which focused on apples and oranges. The brightness in this really keeps it fresh and light and because of this, it may be easier to wear in warmer weather than something like Salvatore Ferragamo Uomo, which I find heavier in the far dry down. A little pricy and a little familiar, though still a fun and versatile fragrance.

The Scent Private Accord is a woody, spicy and sweet fragrance. It opens with the fruity characteristic of the maninka of this line, but with some bitter and warm notes, perhaps a little cocoa, coffee and ginger. At this stage it feels slightly gourmand, but is not too sweet. With the passage of time, the notes of coffee and cocoa decrease in intensity, and the woody notes, patchouli and vanilla increase, but that fruity characteristic is always present. The scent of this fragrance makes me imagine being near a fireplace sipping hot chocolate while wearing a warm sweater. It cheers me up. Due to its warm notes, it is ideal for use in autumn and winter. Although I have loved it, I do not recommend buying it blindly. This is my favotite of this line after The Scent Parfum Edition.

The Scent Private Accord by Hugo Boss: This is a gorgeous scent that does bitter and sweet so well simultaneously it's such a shame it got discontinued. Perfect for autumn and winter day or night. There is a prevalent dusty cocoa note that goes really nice with a quality coffee note and a creamy vanilla one too. The maninka from this line works well and is quite a unique note. This is easily the best in the line followed closely by Le Parfum. I don't get too much of a citrus note but that's okay since I feel like the citrus doesn't need to be too potent in this. Top notes: Dusty cocoa, ginger Middle notes: Coffee, maninka Base notes: Woods, vanilla, cocoa, coffee 5/5

Delicious, fruity cocoa... These familiar scents tend to resonate well with others when picked up in the air, and Private Accord is something most everyone will find familiarity with. An incredibly decadent smell. Wearing Private Accord is the equivalent of unwrapping the foil off one of those chocolate oranges we see during the Holidays, and savoring wedge after wedge all evening. That rich, creamy, fruity chocolate. This wears more tasteful and distinguished than other sweet, designer gourmand fragrances; so sugary you're left feeling you have a cavity. That's rare these days. Simply put... This is my favorite gourmand fragrance from a designer house. Rating 9/10

Got this in 2023 for NPR. 8000 (~ USD $60) after eyeing for it for nearly a year. This is a gourmand fragrance, amazing scent, great performance, comes in a beautiful sturdy bottle, and is perfect for winter. The scent opens with fresh notes. Transforms into a Hazelnut Latte topped with Dark Chocolate. Stays on the skin with the notes of Tonka beans and Coffee. This is just beautiful, you need to try it to experience this masterpiece. Smells quite mature as it dries down, but can be enjoyed on by anyone who is over 20 years of age. Overall Rating: Presentation: 8/10 Scent: 9/10 Versatility: 8/10 Value for Money: 8/10 Projection: 8/10 Sillage: 8/10 Longevity: 8/10

The best of all 3(4) in "The Scent" line. I consider "The Scent - Parfum" (Black bottle) a scent of its own! Cocoa, coffee and the maninka fruit and this time Boss did it right and it still has this fantastic hazelnut vibe going on even though hazelnut is not listed. to me this is a ' oh what do you have on ' has a strong cacao , and lets be honest most women like chocolate ! tried this on in shop on wrist and first impression was chocolate/musky ! liked it but was 50/50 so young woman in shop said come back after the dry down and see what you think, after about 1 hour i loved it and bought 50 ml bottle.it has a mature grown up more sophisticated smell to it , not for a young man in a night club, more a man 35+ for a dinner party / gentlemans club / casino,not that i go to a gentlemans club, casino or dinner partys ! but has a dark romantic feel , if you know what i mean.
