Hugo Intense

Fresh, crisp red apple is the dominating note, like a juicy pink lady apple. Slight herbal & floral touch, which prevents it from being a candy/cloying type of sweetness, its a very fresh/slightly airy type of sweet that becomes very slightly more dense in the deeper dry down. Overall it's not a sweetness that would put you off of using this in higher heat. It's a non offensive type of sweet. It is sweet, yes, but its the kind of sweet that is wearable on warmer days. The floral/very slight herbal nature gives it an slightly airy nature. You can pick up on the leather aswell, supporting nicely in the background of the opening, and as the scent dries deeper the leather becomes more prominent whilst still blending beautifully with the fresh floral apple vibe. The floral apple becomes less prominent after a while and the leather moves forward. It's not an old man type of leather, it's more of a clean, showroom fresh BMW type of leather. Freshly upholstered red leather seats is the vibe I get. Which is great, as I was worried the leather would come across as far more mature then I would want. Na this is niceeee. In my opinion all the notes work very well together. I am not agreeing with people who say it's synthetic, cause that makes me think of a candy like, artificial type of sweetness... which this is not. I think it's the floral/thyme touch that elevates the apple slightly beyond what you would typically expect an apple to smell like. Its a very clean apple. An apple that just came out the wash and it's got some of the floral laundry detergent smell lingering on it when you bite into it, some of the juice from the apple drips onto your fresh designer leather jacket, That's the vibe. I really really like it. I liked it out of the box and the more I smell it, I like it more and more. Very versatile. Signature scent worthy for a man who is searching for one that is fruit forward, yet beautifully balanced, with those fresh + floral and deeper leather notes really giving it a masculine edge. This smells like a clean cut, well groomed man, formal or casual, this is an excellent choice. Does it smell like the discontinued HUGO Red? No. I own both, and it does not remind you of that in the slightest. Completely different scents. I love HUGO Red, so I was hoping that it was going to give a nod to that in some regard. However I'm not disappointed at all, as It's a really really good fragrance. It deserves higher than its current score. It is really really good. I love the fact that it is a fruity/floral fragrance, yet is still distinctly manly. The leather really gives it that masculine edge, and there is no confusion at all over what gender it's intended to be worn by. Love it.

One of my favorite perfumes and in my top 5 for all times. Hugo intense is really underrated, it opens with super fresh, red apple, grapefruit and geranium almost like a laundry soap with the most perfect/good way you can ever imagine, within a hour this soapy vibe start to fade a bit like a hint of it in the background then the mix between red apple, cinnamon and red thyme is heavenly good OMG (don't think that red apple with cinnamon will give you the apple pie smell, NOT AT ALL). The transition of this perfume is really interesting and how the scent transform from the opening to the dray-down is really good and multidimensional, i like the perfume that it transform on multi stages from the opening to the middle then the base. amazing. The performance is fantastic, the longevity is +10 hours (every time i wear it it lasts with me the whole day) and the projection is strong. You can use Hugo Intense all year around it's very versatile and in any occasion work (may you need to spray less), casual outing with friends, gym and vacation/beach, for formal occasions may i would to choose something else but it depends on the vibe of the occasion and the place (maybe you have a launch meeting in the middle of summer and the weather is hot, i mean this will be a good choice as a perfume). Overall: 9.6/10

I really like this one. I'm new to the hobby so I wanted a fresh fragrance but also one that had character. I went to the shop and I tested several ones such as Sauvage (in all its variations), Aventus, Y, MYSLF, Aqua de Gio, BDC, Allure, etc. I found myself drawn to Dylan Blue and this, and ultimately I bought this. This is absolutely not mass appealing and shouldn't be blind bought, it has a harsh opening that reminds me of apple detergent but in a good way, super synthetic at the opening and it can be off putting, but I like it. The middle can be described as vintage, it has a deep floral scent with notes of leather, akin to perfumes that old people would wear. In the drydown, I find it retaining the heart notes (florals) but toning them down. This perfume is just striking and unique, in text it wouldn't seem to work, but in person it won me over. Longevity is around 3h on my skin (my skin destroys fragrances, aqua allegoria, TdH, Eros Flame, etc. last even less) and sillage is pretty good. So it is strong in that department.

Recently tried this fragrance and I must admit I did not expect it to be this good. Its quite spicy and red, you can really notice the red apple and the spices which are a bit like cinnamon. You can sense the OG Hugo boss DNA which I love and I'm glad it has a more unique twist of a fresh DNA without smelling like every other fresh fragrance, which is usually like eggs to me. Its great value for your money and you do not have to worry about someone else wearing it because Hugo Boss is an overlooked brand. I'd highly recommend this fragrance for Spring and Autumn (Fall). You can get away with wearing it on winter, but there are better winter options because this fragrance does become a skin scent after 3 hours on a warm day.

Pleasant, easy to like, easy to wear, easy to enjoy. A fragrance for days in which you want to be uncomplicated. Sweet without being crazy sweet, warm and fresh spicy. It radiants very nice, and it lasts. As the scent develops, you can feel fresh green, kind of citrusy nuances, nice blended with the sweetness. When it dries down it becomes kind of creamy, which I really like. Never been a fan of the Hugo line, but I must admit that my nose likes this one. Edit: I have worn this more, and it has grown on me. I'm really enjoying it, and it has earned me unsolicited complements. If you you ask me, I would recommend this one. Greetings.

Hugo Intense. This was my introduction to the fragrance world. I was on vacation, went into a perfume shop, tried many frags, and kept coming back to this one. It was more than I wanted to spend, but I finally caved. I was amazed! I had no idea that getting the odd waft of a quality fragrance could be so enjoyable. And so my fragrance journey began. And of course, as new bottles came, Hugo Intense sat unused. I have roughly 60 bottles now. This morning I pulled out Hugo Intense. Aahhh..now I remember why it all began. Delicious

Love it, has a great freshness-spiceness, cinnamonish opening and it turns to a warm sweet, woody, cinnamon scent at the dry down. Mass appealing, compliment getter, everyone seems to like this scent. Id say a safe blind buy. Longevity and sillage is just right without being overwhelming. Easily a 9.5/10 for my taste. Underrated frag!!

My boyfriend is wearing this perfume as a main one everyday. He’s in his early 20’s and I think this sweet perfume suits well for young adult boys, how just started wearing perfumes and love something simple is smell yet divine and spring smelling. I love this perfume on him, I always want to bite his neck like a piece of sweetness.

My favourite of all the Hugo Boss canteen flasks (Reversed is a close second). Bold red in colour but the scent is quite balanced with nuances that is safe to wear by everyone for any occasions. It stays a bit longer on the skin but will not bore you. It’s not a synthetic smell and not generic. Safe blind buy and an easy grab

I am relatively new to hobby. My collection consists of : Suavage EDP, Eros EDT, Dolce & Gabbana The One, and now Hugo Intense Edp. Definitely my new scent. Long lasting, great projection, and smells amazing. Really different from the others in my collection. Excellent new scent.

THIS IS MASTERPIECE. I don't understand the hate at all, it's fresh, apple, woody, spicy, sweet, citrusy and super mass appealing all in one perfume. All year around perfume suiting all situations, and complement getter. I adore this perfume. Overall 9.7/10

Its good not perfect I get most red apple,lime and cinnamon.This fragrance remind me eros edp.Its so good winter party and night frangrance I think.

I love it for its boldness and fair longevity. I bought Oriflame Ascendant recently and it also smells like a sweet version of Hugo Intense.

I really wasn't quite sure what to expect with this one but I think the red apple and cinnamon give this a youthful, playful feel. It reminds me a lot of those burny cinnamon heart candies you get in the USA and Canada (which if you've ever eaten those, you'll know what I mean). Pity we don't seem to get those cinnamon hearts in the UK. For me, the red apple reminds me of a lot of what we're seeing in women's fragrances right now (think BT540 and Burberry) with their strawberry/red appley experience, but done in a way that still stays true to this being a fragrance for men. So it never gets sugary and sweet, and you'll be relieved to know that you won't smell like a candy apple! Personally, this isn't a fragrance me or the man in my life would have actively sought out, but now that he has tried it, he's really enjoying wearing it. Although my husband says that he wouldn't wear it everyday, and we do reckon that it's probably better suited to being a night time fragrance. I'm not sure I would blind buy this as a gift for someone and I do recommend that you test it before purchasing. However, I can't stop sniffing it... it's delicious.

The main character is fresh non sweet fruits with lime and blood grapefruit, alongside beautiful details from the other notes. The quality is excellent and non-synthetic. I've just recently bought a brand new Hugo Man bottle and tested Polo Red Rush in the same place I've tried this one, I can safely confirm it's two thirds the former, one third the latter. It's very casual and likable, much like Hugo Man. Good alternative for Winter, won't comment too much on longevity as I don't own it yet but it stayed on a bit longer than it's EDT predecessor.

It literally just smells like Valentino BIR intense but with added lime and apple?? so just slightly more fresh. i like it but it fells like lower quality for pretty much the same price. wont buy this when i have and like valentino more. But i'd almost say its like Eros EDP mixed with Valentino

@RIVERAEDGE it's hear now. Warm leather scents like Hugo Intense are perfect for our up coming winter in Australia.

I really like it and I am kinda surprised because I have never been hooked by a Hugo Boss fragrance before.

Clean laundry with slight sweetness. Not masculine at all, could be unisex. Very safe.

Overall sweetish light bubblegum style. Not really my cup of tea. I have it in memory as synthetic smell. Performance: 5-7 hours Sillage: Ok at arms length For whom: Gentlemen >20 My background: I only write reviews about scents I have worn already (until the bottle is finished) or are in current use. I'm a Gentlemen - middle aged - predominantly in an executive office environment wearing suits and representing with many official gatherings.

Strong fragrance, but lacks character, it's like they just mixed a bunch of notes and did not bother to make it smell great or appealing at all, very chemical and nauseating scent, i need to test it again but my first impression was not very positive.

This opens with a great mint/thyme scent. After few minutes it becomes to a generic barber shop pafrume. And later a bir fruity, sweet aroma rises. The beginning and the end is really different but nothing special.

Super disappointed. Apple and ginger, how could it ever go wrong? I can tell you. You just add way too much contemporary sweetness and destroy any freshness that these notes could have offered.

Smells synthetic and overwhelming, longevity is alright no problem with that but i find this fragrance trying to be best in all areas but suck in every one of them. If you like it buy it but definitely not a safe blind buy. 10/4

Absolutely awful, generic, nausea and headache inducing perfume. Goes in the same sweet category as Polo Red Parfum and Valentino Uomo Born In Roma Intense. Just no.

OMG...too much of everything. RED APPLE + sweet RED GRAPE + CINNAMON/THYME Maybe for young hunks on steroids... In drydown can be more acceptable.

This is 85-90% similar to Antonio Banderas The Icon EDP. Same grapefruit tartness and a leahter gives the same suede base like in The Icon EDP. Same aromatic, fresh spicy at the top. But this is a bit fruttier and a apple and lime gives a fizzier opening and scent profile. Not bad at all. But If you have AB The Icon EDP you might not need this in your collection. If you found it cheap at discounters, buy it! Overall a decent 7.5/10 !

As I see similar to invictus, and I have invictus clone Armaf Aura, and yes , HB Intense similar to Aura but I think no so sweet and better blended

I love the Extreme version. It's strong & powerful. Hopefully this one has the same performance.

Seems interesting, question though is if it will lean more like Hugo Red or Hugo Extreme.
