The Collection Confident Oud

I get a strong whiskey and oud scent, with a lightly burnt sugary note (probably comes from the bran accord). When i say whiskey, think of a single malt, not too heavily peated. There is an undertone of sweetnes, problably coming from the bran. It is a rather linear scent. I also get a suggested tobacco note - which brings me to my comparison: Tobacco oud by Tom ford. I would like to say this is a slightly less dark version of tobacco oud, not bright at all, but slightly less dark. I think this comes from the lack of incense in Confident Oud. It is also slightly less boozy than Tobacco oud. Projection on this one is somewhere between strong and moderate. I get a strong projection for like 3-4 hours, and then i like to re-apply for the stronger projection. Longevity is pretty much eternal, but given that is as a skinscent after around the 7-8 hour mark. Seeing to the fact that you nowadays can find this scent for around the 65 euro mark, it makes for great value for money. Me i personally would have loved to own tobacco oud instead of this, but the fact that tobacco oud is very discontinued and expensive at this point, i find this to be a great alternative to said scent. Overall 9/10 for me, as I love these types of scents.

SO UNDERATED! It’s definitely similar to The London Dandy, also Straight to Heaven (though much dryer/far less sweet) and Baroanda (also less sweet than this). If you like any of those you will love this one. I can’t say the Oud is noticeable (ok to clarify its a similar Oud to Gucci Intense Oud, or even Initio Oud For Greatness; i.e its just wood accord, as opposed to Oud like in say Xerjoff Ether, Alexandria II, Mamluk etc). So the smell is a single malt Islay whisky barrel... the whisky and wood notes are what you smell. It’s a gentlemanly boozy smell, but quite subtle after the boozy opening, it just dries down to a whisky barrel woods scent. This is office safe as its projection is quite moderate, and because it’s not sweet (quite dry) it doesn’t give anyone a headache. I’m really surprised how little this is talked about considering how directly comparable it is to very high quality niche perfumes. It’s great to wear to cigar lounge (but overspray). Spray normally and it’s a great office scent with a difference (though best in fall/winter cool or cold weather). What a find!

Boozy opening, followed by a dominant oud (feels more like a rich woody note) backed by a hint of smoke, with a plum sour nuance. The performance is linear and solid, like many other The Collection bottles—just a high-quality bottle with a very natural scent. This actually made me reminisce about a distillery tour I took in Kentucky; the scent is almost identical to what I smelled standing by rows of aging whiskey barrels during that tour. This juice needs about a month to bloom. When you first spray it, it might smell a bit flat, but give it a month and it really opens up! This bottle is also amazing for layering. It can be easily layered with Courageous Rose or Exhilarating Vanilla to create an ultra-luxurious vibe. If you layer Exhilarating Vanilla with Confident Oud, it literally goes BOOM and you basically get an "Intense Oud" (Vanilla Edition). Cheers!!

My goodness. Thankfully I did not pay too much heed to the negative reviews below. Ropion hit this one out of the park as usual. Slightly tart, smoked, woody, spiced, boozy oud delight for a charismatic gentleman. Agarwood is certainly present but tucked under the dry cedar which permeates this fragrance. With the saturation of lackluster oud's and oud flankers now sweeping the western market, consider this a mercy or a pleasant change.

Very nice and unique, opens more oud-y and dries to whiskey-bourbon scent. Very strong, one or two spritzes are more than enough. Lasts very long. I originally wanted it for myself (woman), but it was too strong and a bit headachey, so instead my man wears it. It is unisex, but definitely more masculine. The price is crazy though.

I really enjoy this one. It's not complex, but is an easy going and enjoyable oud fragrance. I can definitely see what some have said and agree that it's reminiscent of Tobacco Oud by Tom Ford. This can easily be found now for around 65-70 dollars and I feel it's a steal for that price.

I wore Tobacco Oud by TF before it got hyped, and this one really reminds me of it. I’m not saying they’re 100% identical, but I think they share the same DNA. Of course, Tobacco Oud is stronger and projects more.

Confident Oud is the fragrance that made me start liking boozy colognes. Bentley Intense feels too cloying and synthetic, almost cheap. Givenchy Gentleman Reserve Privé mixes iris with booze in a way that is too much for me. Confident Oud goes straight to whisky. Photorealistic, smooth, and well blended. Zero chemicals, no gasoline, no barny smells... clean. It smells rich, like aged whisky resting in an old oak barrel. Masculine, addictive, and direct. This is a cologne to wear with an expensive leather jacket. It tells a story — whisky, oak, almost no sweet. If you enjoy boozy scents, this one is for you.

Underrated and qualitative, like most (if not all) fragrances from The Collection. Don't expect anything spectacular though, as the DNA is not complex, but do expect a smooth oud experience that any oud lover will enjoy. You can buy this at a discount. I paid 60 dollars for mine. It's not worth 200 which was the original retail price.

This smells like clove. I suppose a bit of sandalwood and maybe tobacco, but mostly clove. Quite lovely and evokes a 1950s vibe when clove cigarettes were popular. May come off as a bit alien to the Western audience.

i prefer baraonda over this, it’s not terrible, it just smells like the you threw on baraonda while sitting at a campfire and the smoke sticks to your skin

Most reminds me of Halfeti Cedar. Descent longevity, not the best projection. Lots of potential, but it skews sweet and kinda bland.

Very similar to Gucci Intense Oud but with hints of charcoal. A luxurious, fragrant, masculine fragrance.

After eyeing this one off for a while, I finally got my nose on it. I have to agree with most of the comments, there’s definitely a noticeable whiskey vibe here. I highly doubt there’s any real oud used, but the oud accord itself is nicely done. I just wish it lasted longer and played a more dominant role over the whiskey note. It’s definitely overpriced at full retail, though I’ve seen it heavily discounted online to match their entry-level range. Even at that price, I’ll be passing on this one. Not a bad fragrance by any means, just not for me. Rating: 7/10

Smells like Le Labo Noir 29. Imagine wood and red wine, that's how this smells, wood & red wine. Great longevity and projection but not my cup of tea.

Strong on the wood, smoke and booziness. It smells very familiar but also very unique for a perfume. Immediately after smelling it, this reminded me of the smell of whiskey. Not as a perfume note or some interpretation of it, but quite literally like opening a new whiskey bottle and smelling it. It's also very linear, no sweetness whatsoever, somewhat long lasting and overall very unique - definitely not something I've ever smelled before in a perfume. Apparently this is quite hard to find and I did find it, however a bottle of this is fairly expensive for what it is. It doesn't exactly remind me of Oud, however the booziness and dry, woody notes could give an impression of an Oudy fragrance. So if you're looking for something that really smells like Oud, or even a classic Rose/Oud combo or something like that, this most definitely won't be for you. If, however, you're looking for a dry, boozy, green-ish fragrance that's unique and definitely an acquired taste, you might want to try it. I personally don't really enjoy this one but I do appreciate its' uniqueness. Noble Wood and Daring Saffiano seem to suit me a bit better.

What Oud? This is an extremely boozy (whiskey), earthy scent with some sweetness, but not particularly in a good way. It actually reminded me of Kutay by Unique’e Luxury at first, only not even remotely as good. I had blind bought this as it was not easy to find, and I definitely cannot say it’s worth the price. I could not bring myself to test it again after my initial attempt, although given that I now own it, I might as well attempt to re-explore it some time soon. I wouldn’t necessarily say that this is a “hate”, but everything about this perfume is deceiving; from name to scent. Do not expect any form of familiar Oud scent here, as I can assure you that this is the furthest from what an Oud is. This is whiskey, earthy (barn/wheat), woody and sweet. Definitely, definitely, definitely do NOT blind buy!

عود مغرور کانفیدنت عود عطری فاخر از کالکشن اکسکلوسیو هوگو باس لذت بوییدن ی گیلاس شراب بوردو قبل از چشیدن کانفیدنت عود با دو نت عود و سبوس معرفی شده ولی بسیار پیچیده تر و پر محتوا تر بنظر میرسه . عطری نسبتا کمپلکس تو کلاس بویایی چوبی . امبری حال هوای کلی بوی این عطر رایحه ای پرزرق و برق و‌شیک و متولانه از حس بوی نت های عود و پچولی و رز و امبر و آکورد اسپایسی و بوی میوه های خشک که شدیدا حس بوزی یا مشروبی رو القا می‌کنه . دومینیک روپیون پرفیومر قهاریه که تونسته این ترکیبات کلاسیک و شرقی و اسرار آمیز رو با امبرکسان مدرنیته کنه . درست شنیدید کانفیدنت عود فضای داستانهای هزار و یک شب رو داره تو سال 2025 .. من چندبار این عطر رو تست کردم و هربار بیاد عطر فوق العاده جذاب امبرنویی دیور می افتم که اینجا همون رایحه هست تقریبا ولی مدرن شده با کمی اضافه شدن بوی عود . عود کانفدینت در شروع با نت عود و پچولی کپک زده و عطر قوی از بوی شراب استارت میخوره هر چه بسمت قلب رایحه پیش میره حالت بوزی کمرنگ میشه و آکورد امبر و رز و ادویه ها نقش آفرینی پررنگ تری دارند صادقانه بخوام به این عطر نگاه کنم از هر طرف امتیاز مثبت میگیره از قیمت مناسب بگیر تا کیفیت بالا و بلند استادانه و پرفورمنس فوق العاده و از همه مهمتر رایحه ای بسیار جذاب و شیک و متولانه که می‌تونه روی پوست در شب‌های سرد سال غوغا کنه . درای داون عطر بعد از یکساعت جاییه که اعجاز رایحه تکامل پیدا می‌کنه و تجسم بوی نجیب زادگان قصرهای اروپایی رو به خودش میگیره با حفظ رایحه کلی پچولی و عود و حس بوزی و امبری بوی تنباکو هم اضافه میشه . این عطر در پایان انگار ی ترکیبی از دو عطر بارااوندا و امبر نویی دیور میشه . به لطف مولکول امبرکسان یا دیگر ترکیبات سنتتیکه ناگفته موندگاری این عطر بسیار بالاست و تا ساعتها پخش بو داره این وضعیت فوق العاده پرفورمنس روی پوست امتیاز بالایی میگیره . یقینا اگه روی الیاف لباس اسپری بشه تیپ رایحه جوریه که بنظرم نامیرا میشه ومیتونه روزهای طولانی اثر خودش رو به نمایش بزاره .
