The Collection Noble Wood

Interesting proposal from the high-end line of Hugo Boss, a brand that generally has very pleasant fragrances, but that err on the side of "safe" and although Boss Bottle is a classic that I will always have in my collection, unfortunately the reformulations have put an end to it. But what we are getting at Noble Wood is an incredible fragrance that certainly reminds us of Santal 33 but slightly because it takes another path and of the notes declared here I feel that two are missing, precisely that clean sandalwood that combined with cedar is felt from the first spray but the oak wook immediately steals the spotlight with its characteristic robust, dry and mature aroma that often has a spicy character and here is accentuated by the cardamom which at first feels dirty as if it were accompanied by a pinch of cumin (I feel cumin is another undeclared note although it really feels very light) but which gives it that characteristic smell like sweat which luckily does not last long and the cardamom mutates to its sweeter, creamy and spicy facet, all this with a very slight background of vanilla which rounds out the whole composition and give it a perfect balance, I personally do not detect the whiskey note because in this fragrance I do not feel anything liquory but rather clean woods with creamy, warm and spicy touches. The performance is quite good although I don't feel it has a very wide projection but its duration on skin and clothing is quite good, I feel that it will shine more in transitional seasons such as spring and autumn but for my taste it is perfect for all year round, moderating the atomizations, something a little difficult for me and my complicated skin.

The real deal of masculine fragrance. So manly and deep. The absolute woody fragrance for mature gentleman. Best for evening out, but it can be worn anytime with less sprays. One of the hidden gems.

Love this, the performances might vary depending on what your wearing , one of my best perfumes. Has that woody leathery and a bit of oud of some sort. Recommend it.

The best earthy woody fragrance ever. The cardamom opening is amazing and there is no perfume as beautiful as it.

My boyfriend bought this recently. I chose it out of the new Hugo Boss range. It's very dry and woodsy, but the vanilla and whiskey notes add a smoothness to it. It's for mature men and suitable for day and night. It wears well in the summer months too. Longevity is not excellent, maybe 4 hours. And note that it's nothing like Santal 33 as others have claimed.

Something weird with this one. I can smell a little of fig sap, a little of green sandalwood or maybe that green aspect from the cypriol, but nothing from whisky or vanilla... only green woody. It’s just the first impression, I will wear a little more to understand it better.

I like it. If it were smokier and a little less dry, I would love it.

Dunno why my review disappeared. Bought it at the airport, the fragrance is good. But sillage and longevity is poor, pathetic, lousy, horrible! After about 1-2 hours, you'd struggle to remember if you even wore it. Overpriced as hell!

Hate it, i.e. the price vs. quality! The parfum (smell) absolutely fantastic! BUT 3 hours later, I struggle to know if I have any hints of it left! Zero sillage, zero longevity! And pricey as hell! Won't recommend.

Let the rest stay busy with Aventus and its boring derivatives. This fragrance is very distinctive. I have never smelled anything similar before. Dry woods with a light, clean touch of oud. I do not know what whiskey smells like, so I cannot confirm that note, but I personally do not smell it. Some people commented on the performance, and I feel they may be right, but I cannot be certain, as I might have gone nose blind to it. As for the price, it is expensive in major retail stores, but in discount shops it is relatively reasonable, although still expensive for its quality even after discounts, around 150 USD. Someone commented that the scent is good but the quality is not, and in my view this is the most accurate comment, 100٪. The scent as a concept and composition is excellent, I rate it 9.5/10. However, the quality does not match the scent rating. It is not bad, but the idea is niche and priced like a niche fragrance, while the quality feels closer to that of mainstream brands. Scent 9.5/10 Quality 7/10 Performance 5/10, but I am not fully certain
