Eau Radieuse

Remarkable. An icy cold hyper-mentholated burst of camphorous mint and citrus notes get this one off to a rollicking start. The banana leaf adds some sweet green notes to the mix and you're left with a startlingly radiant example of freshness-pushed-over-the-edge, past all normal boundaries and into something bizarre, unique, and completely new. Synthetic? Absolutely. Eau Radieuse seems as if it was concocted in a futuristic lab complete with hazmat suits and puffy clouds of liquid nitrogen smoke.But that doesn't mean it's harsh or scratchy, only that it doesn't seem to come from nature. It's totally wearable AND the general public seems to like it. I get compliments when I wear this. It's not weird in an "eww, what's that smell?" kind of way, it has more of the, "Oh my god, what are you wearing?" type of effect. And it's not surprising that people notice it because this one PROJECTS. However, the way it projects is very unusual. Think of dispersed light rays refracting from a crystal and you'll have some idea of the physical nature of this fragrance. It's not solid. It's an aura, ethereal and radiant, befitting of its name. Absolutely try this, as it needs to be experienced to be understood. One of my favorites, and completely different than anything else I own. Eau Radieuse is one of those fragrances that I stumbled upon and was instantly reminded as to why this is such a thrilling and enthralling hobby.

Imagine a mountainous zen retreat in a distant Shangri-La. This is the scent of the working space. Bamboo sap, smooth green notes, and the serene caress of a fresh breeze (yes, the fresh notes here are calm and relaxed, very much *unlike* so many of the modern fresh scents where the freshness always seems to be accompanied by an artificial and overtly synthetic harshness). Particularly unique about Eau Radieuse is how the harmonious blending of notes evokes a huge sense of space that avoids feeling empty or evoking a sense of isolation; it's entirely peaceful and invites the mind to wander freely, comfortably. A one of a kind scent that should be tried for that reason alone. Yes, it's great for summer. It's fresh. It's cooling. But it's also so much more than that.

ice ice baby. radioso, tropicale, ghiacciato. mai sentito nulla di simile epperò gradevolissimo. le prime note di menta (sempre assai difficili da gestire, senza aver la sensazione di aver spiaccicato sul collo un bel po' di dentifricio) sono stemperate da agrumi e foglie di banana. l'insieme è qualcosa che ricorda un "concetto" già sentito ma del tutto inedito. ed effettivamente questa acqua radiosa è un'acqua di colonia, sì, totalmente rivisitata. la testa evolve in un accordo tropicale (lontanissimo dai noti mix che rendono poi l'effetto di creme solari) che porta con sè banana, rabarbaro e bambù. freschissima la sensazione complessiva, che perdura a lungo, assestandosi in un fondo acquatico. notevolissimo profumo d'estate.

This could be the most cooling perfume ever! I really liked it during summer, but even better on my husband than on me. But I think both sexes can use it. It ́s like hiding in the shadow under a giant rhubarb leaf... and the scent of banana peel is really odd, but also nice. Huge sillage, even a little spray make it feel like you have been showering in this fragrance. Extremly cooling, and also a very mood lifting cherful but also modern scent. Longlasting and oh, yes... for those hot summer days I can ́t think of anything better than this. Avoid during winter tough, you might freeze to death! :)

Really nice, energizing fragrance, which makes me think about athlete, or parkour... Because it is minty, green and cool, just like the color of the juice, and it is unique enough, hence niche quality. The mint is all over, accompanied by bamboo leaves and rhubarb, however I can't detect any banana. Projection is moderate, as well as longevity. This on me turns into skin scent within 4-5 hours, but it is indeed a refreshing perfume.

I read all the time people complaining that all summer scents are the same and to recommend them something "different/unique". Well my fragrance friends, your ship has come in!!! I can say that BuysBlind is pretty much bang on with his assessment of this frag. Such a paradox...very cooling menthol opening as soon as it touches your skin. Then the citrus and easily recognizable green banana leaf note come to the forefront to add some sweetness and a hint of something tropical. But also some tartness from the rhubarb, and if that wasn't enough...throw in some aquatic notes too!lol Tough to describe this fragrance work of art...really needs to be experienced in person and even then I have a heck of a time grasping everything that's going on here.(parfumsraffy has samples FYI) Absolutely nothing about this composition smells "natural" to my nose. It is so bizarre/otherworldly/futuristic, and yet somehow IT STILL WORKS!(weird in all the right ways for me I guess?:) Just when you think you've smelt most everything under the sun that the fragrance world has to offer....BAM!, you get the olfactory equivalent of a b-slap to the side of your face. Longevity is very good and this thing also leaves a very noticeable silage trail. Coming across juice like this is what makes this hobby so fun!:)

Starts off like an interesting iridescent blue scent. A burst of mint, unripe fragrant bananas and aquatic notes. Like a beautiful raging waterfall in a secluded forest. The drydown was minty blue and aquatic. A lot of calone was probably used. Verdict: excellent opening, but rather generic drydown. Longevity: 5-6 hours Sillage: moderate/soft Price: S$350/100ml.

It's nice and fresh, but way too expensive for what it is.

One of the most striking and unique fragrances... It is just like the holographic strip on the bottle. Striking i say because from the very moment i sprayed it in the store, i had decided to buy it. I bought it for myself but decided to make it a birthday gift for my husband, thinking it is more of a masculin fragrance. From what i have seen, it doesn't have a dupe or an evocative fragrance in the market yet, it is just so unique. I won't mention the notes too much, but will describe my experience. At the opening, it was like a bomb of freshness of a mint and tropical boom, just like you suddenly get one of the sharpest mint bonbons in your mouth. I couldn't think of the ingredients but left myself for the experience of the moment. The rest is just normal drydown. First goes the mint and sharp mandarine note. As i note, it lasts very long, around 6-7 hours on skin, fair enough for that much of a green and tangerine based fragrance. As I heard before, Humiecki & Graef uses "star model" while creating their fragrances, differing from classical model consisting of base, middle, top notes. I think this is why their fragrances are somewhat flat and longlasting without losing their characteristic towards the end. Point.

Hot green, like crushed spicy leaves with a suggestion of lemon dries down to a gentle green summer scent. Final dry down is a dead ringer for Virginia Sweet Grass or it's lavender cousin, which is a note I love and associate with sunny days. A wonderful summer scent.

Mandarin and orange galore, unripe banana and green notes. A bizarre mash up between a sport fragrance and a dish-washing liquid with an extotic vibe. Smells like Ajax Tropical. Terrifying! Rating: 4/10
