Multiple Rouge

What on earth could someone not like about this perfume?! I can not believe some comments, because my experience is completely different. This is probably the most unique perfume in the world. I was over the moon when I found almost a full bottle on eBay, which, unfortunately, was perhaps among the last existing. This perfume is pure euphoria. It's an euphoria extract. It is unbelievable that they made perfume that makes people smile instantly. I never encountered anyone who didn't smile immediately and say, "You smell divine." And hug me for a few seconds longer. Everyone, from business associates to friends, men, women, and even children, complimented this perfume. Yes, it is fruity, but the magic ozonic note makes this perfume unique. Fruits are so well blended that you can not finger-point to any fruit, and at the same time, there is also some bright floral vibe, plus freshness, which is not like marine or oceanic freshness, more like some comforting alpine breeze. I wouldn't call it sexy perfume, but a few men disagreed; they told me it is effortlessly sexy. This perfume makes you feel you can conquer the world because it makes people around you feel happy and welcome. Oh, I hate that this brand no longer exists. I searched for a dupe, but nothing is even close to this perfume.

i really like MR and glad i have it though i rarely wear it. it's an avant garde re-imagining of fruit, a sort of steam-punk jello with electricity/ozone taking it into the endless ether. if that doesn't really make sense, nor does MR. totally fits the ethos of the 2 christophs

I think reviews here are a bit extreme one way or the other. This is not an overly challenging scent or half heartedly designed to overlook. What it is is SUCCESSFUL! It is great at delivering a unisex berry scent (mostly raspberry and cranberry to me with light peach) that can work for men. I can’t say it shatters boundaries but it is admittedly unique. The challenge is only on the initial spray that lasts for five minutes where the sharp bright berries are held back from becoming a ‘toy like girls scent’ by a phenomenally dusty base - like a damp vacuum cleaner bag. After this the base evolves slowly for about an hour on me becoming greener and resembling crushed flower stems or green leaves from the fruit. This again changes ultimately into fresh coriander under the berries, peach, pineapple the other notes rounding it out with the undetectable cinnamon helping round out the base. The end result is a male wearable undeniable berry scent - natural - strong for an EDT with above average Sillage (especially for this type of scent). A little anonsomic so it’s always projecting much more than you think. I get strong but not overpowering wafts hours later. Other than Sean John 3am (which is more watermelon) I can not think of a male scent as good as this in a bright simple fruity composition though Slumberhouse Kiste does it well for peach it’s ultimately much darker and complicated. My only qualm is the price. Considering it’s performance and a presentation that actually is fine (yet different) for business suit meetings or for casual (as most would likely see it) for men I would let it pass but next time I would look for it at a discount. Well worth the initial outlay first time.

It's a really funky and girly perfume,it feels like you've been touched by a fruit punch waterfall full of pineapple,appricot and berries!

Think about a mixed fruit jam. You've just opened the lid, taken out a knife, and spread it liberally across your arm, then inhaled the aroma. Welcome to Multiple Rouge. It's fruit, fruit, fruit...did we mention fruit, by any chance? Exceptionally jammy and it never quite evolves and morphs from that state into other elements. The result is that you're left with a strong and over-ripe cherry that dominates the fragrance, until it finally drops into a cinnamon-spce/patchouli ending. To say this will evoke a reaction is, indeed, understating, and it was a bit like a train wreck for me: "Wow, this is bizarre...let me smell this again...yeah, it's really odd...let me make sure...I just cannot describe how strange this really is." (Let's watch this yet again in slow-motion). I cannot think of even one occasion where I could wear it, nor could my wife.

Humiecki & Graef MULTIPLE ROUGE is a rather gunky fruity concoction. I was wondering whether my sample had evaporated and that was why it seemed so thick, but having now read other people's reviews, it seems that this is what MULTIPLE ROUGE really smells like. I would describe the scent as that of several kinds of fruits chopped up and forgotten about in a vat. They seem as though they are about five seconds from fermenting. The smell is not that of alcohol, but of very, very, ripe--even overripe--fruit. It's a different sort of smell than that of the bottom of jam jar because the fruits have been undergoing decomposition and there is no sugar present. I'm not much for thick fruit compote perfumes to begin with, so it's not that surprising that MULTIPLE ROUGE is not for me.

I actually find this to be more of an aromatic perfume not fruity, which for me is a good thing, although there is something really strange about this perfume and I just cannot put my arms around it what is it. The main note for me is berries, they are cold and a bit sour, like gone bad already, but fine, they don't smell so bad, the next thing that happens is that peach and pineapple appear and this just get's messy, on my skin it feels like a sour bowl of fruit salad.

Okay...I don't know what happened when this hit my chemistry, but the notes I got were (extremely sweet) red apple and somewhere in the background...oily leather. I couldn't take the bizarre combination of smells. I had to wash it off.

Multiple Rouge is crazy stuff. As most of the other fragrances in the Humiecki & Graef's range, it is way too easy to dismiss it because of its weirdness, complexity and for the fact it runs on a thin line between mainstream pop and pure avant-garde, between glory and precipice, between being an absolute masterpiece and a total prank. Personally, I've learned that when it comes to Humiecki & Graef and, more in general, to Mr.Laudamiel, nothing is like it seems and a second chance is always highly recommended. Even a third or a fourth if necessary... As a matter of fact, it took me a couple of years to completely get Multiple Rouge but I'm so glad I didn't give up. This is an incredibly alive composition of red and sparkling fruity notes enriched by other sourish citric accords and soft cinnamon patterns. There's a great juxtaposition between the bitter cilantro and a moderate sweetness inherent to fruit while immortelle provides depth and body to an otherwise too transparent composition. Ozonic notes are remarkable but Laudamiel's mastery preserves the fragrance to cross the border of cheap-smelling and mainstream girly stuff. In fact, Multiple Rouge smells incredibly unique. Most definitely not an easy fragrance and, most of all, definitely not to everyone's tastes but I'm more and more convinced that Laudamiel is a true genius of our times. Love. Ratign: 8/10

Totally strange! On first application it was quite repulsive on my skin. Very metallic, it reminded me of a more polished version of Secretion Magnifiques! Stay far from me! It gave me a sensation of organic things from human body, almost motherly in a way, but very biological. Make people happy? Not really! It was disturbing and made me think of invadent people, skin odour left on bad linen, both male and female, mostly female, but it's not a stale scent. It keeps quite fresh, red fruity and metallic for a long while. Then it sets a little more nicely and becomes almost wearable, like something you feel both attracted and repelled at the same time. Strong lasting power and beautiful modern bottle.

This suffocates me on multi different ways! It's like the dusty fruits... dusty weather carries fuits and honestly I don't care what kind of fruits it does carry other than "please remove this scent away from me, I'm coughing as if I'm sick". Enormous and super silage but the creations isn't that much of an interest as I guess violets and pineapple are creating an extreme dosage blast.

This my friends is a bit strange. There's a milky and herbal aspect to it. It's like someone put together a tarragon salad, milk and some fruits and said deal with it. But there's also a serene quality to it, something that makes you want to meditate or zone out, so I don't know if it's a work of art or just plain crazy.

I think F_A confused this perfume with something else. There is no celery at all. It is very fruity fragrance. But fruits and berries are not fresh/juicy, they are sun-dried. Nice scent, but it does not stay long on the skin and it is terribly overpriced.

OMG, this is celery, celery and one more time celery fragrance! If you like the smell of celery in perfumes, it's a must try together with Yohji Essential and Mahjoun:)

For me this scent similar to vintage revlon charlie white before 2005 But with a hint of berry and a bit of sweet cherry candy. The scent lasts 1 week on my clothes
