Choco Tonka

Weird. I almost exclusively smell the vanilla note here, which is uncharacteristic for me. The vanilla reminds me a lot of the popular vanilla marshmallow scents, since it has that salty/smoky/candle wick undercurrent. I smelled a bit more of the chocolate on paper, but on my skin, it's just smoky vanilla with some extra tonka in there. I don't smell any orange beyond a slight bitterness. I'm blown away that this is reminding me of Delizia and the likes, but here we are! It's not *bad* but it's a pass for me. I don't like my vanillas to smell like blown-out candle wick.

Another chocolate and orange scent. Don't get me wrong. It is a classic pairing, and I very much appreciate it. But I was really hoping for chocolate to be the main star of the show, or at least a main character in the dry down. However, exactly like chocolate greedy. This one dries down to a photorealistic scent of one of those terry's chocolate oranges that you see around christmas time. It is lovely but I am still on the hunt for the perfect chocolate scent.

This starts off firmly in the cocoa cereal realm. It smells of cocoa powder, toasted wheat, and the inside of a cardboard box with a tiny hint of orange. The dry down is rough. All that remains after 1 hour is a very, and I mean VERY faint vanilla, but not even a nice vanilla. :( Tried on test paper, skin, and clothes. Hated it on all three.
