Senza Fine

I'm surprised that this line of fragrances isn't more widely known and reviewed in the US. This house does 'hot-weather' scents like nobody's business! Fresh, well-blended, and always interesting. Senza Fine was a blind buy and so worth it. Fresh, leaning feminine, and more interesting than most 'citrus' type scents we're used spritzing on ourselves in hot weather.

In my mind, this what Carolyn Bessette Kennedy smelled like. I have never gotten my nose on the Abdul Kareem Egyptian Musk, but this is what I always imagined. The notes are a tad misleading in that each element is not strongly present, but they do interpret some attributes of the fragrance, it's really just a fresh (citrus), clean (lily of the valley), creamy (ylang) musk.

I blind bought this because I love almost everything form this house, and although I wasn't looking for another citrus scent, I HAD to smell this combination. It has so many of my favorite notes, orange, ylang-ylang, sandalwood and musk are what I smell the most, but they are so well blended that I'm having a hard time picking just one out. It is so soft and feminine, and smells like yellow sunshine. It's not a complex oriental, or a sweet gourmand, it's beautiful and relaxed. If you've ever seen the movie with Diane Lane, Under the Tuscan Sun; at the end of the movie she is wearing a beautiful saffron yellow silk dress. This is exactly the fragrance I picture her wearing; like a woman who has gotten everything she's dreamed of, and is enjoying a happy life.

This to me smells like the elite, super nice version of all those generic perfumes you get at drugstores - this is how they are supposed to smell but miss the mark with synthetics. It's creamy lyang, lots of musk, sadly not enough of that orange I was hoping for. More of a super musky lyang orchid. It's not really a summery scent to me it's a lot more creamy floral springtime scent. Pleasant, unoffensive, clean, safe. ** 12 pack of this house samples up for swap in UK - pm me **
