Tuberosa d’Autunno

323 I always forget to take this one out. See, it should be a summer scent, but the mothballs opening is so nauseatingly strong that it seems inappropriate for a season that tuberoses are known to bloom. But my tuberoses were stubborn this year and decided to shoot out flower spikes in October, about 2 weeks before it gets too cold for them to bloom. So we brought them in overnight for 3 weeks and it paid off-my double pearl tuberose finally bloomed. Lovely!!! To me, this variety is the inspiration for the tuberose scents that smell gently sweet and natural (none of that harsh mothball, menthol, stems and bubblegum scent). Narcotic V for me is very close to the real thing of beauty. Of course, another variety of tuberose smells very strongly of mothballs or menthol. With my sweet tuberoses blooming so late in the season when it’s getting chilly, it encouraged me to take out the bottle of Autumnal Tuberose because now I know it can happen in real life. You can smell like a tuberose in cooler weather, it just has to be the strong over exaggerated tuberose with mothballs and bubblegum. This works better in cooler temperatures than the gentle real life sweet summer tuberose, in which its scent blooms best in warm humid temperatures. 8/10-powerful cool weather tuberose

A true tuberose with a little tropical feel. Creamy, sweet, slightly herbal, balsamic. The tuberose, ylang, benzoin and hint of celery are the players in that order.The benzoin takes this to a different place in the drydown.

Tuberosa d'Autunno opens quite brash, with a kind of conspicuous, artificially upbeat accent, perhaps coconut, that feels as if it's there to give the tuberose a round of cheer just in case it decides to get stage fright. It’s a straight-forward and non-dramatic rendition of the flower, like a not-too-artful but esthetically pleasing portrait that succeeds at drawing viewer's attention towards the flattering features of the subject matter. The tuberose in here smells lush, yet is simple and clean. It doesn't hit any awkward notes, quite the opposite, it rests comfortably on a bed of powdery violets. I quite like this phase but it doesn't last very long. After about an hour the base notes come along and, rather unceremoniously, upstage the tuberose. At this point it's the warm, ambery vanilla I end up smelling the most, while the namesake note is more like an afterthought. The scent is very nice still, but not in the way I was hoping for. I even recognise some elements of Ambra del Nepal in that drydown. However, while Ambra del Nepal lasts and lasts on me, Tuberosa d'Autunno tends to fade away a lot faster. Easy and likeable tuberose with a violet undertone, but I would probably like it better if it could stand its ground with more success.

E' arrivato poco fa. Diciamo che l'ho spruzzato e quello che ne è venuto fuori è la Tubereuse criminelle di Lutens. Quindi creatività e originalità molto poca. Il resto del profumo lo sento talmente debole da risultare vano. Dopo la prima sbuffata si sente un aroma marrone coriaceo che spagne tutti i fiori. Prosegue sottotono e simile a tuberose di keiko mecheri. Pensando al nome "tuberosa d'autunno" immaginavo un aroma caldo e caramellato,seducente, invece riproduce l'apertura tossica ed esplosiva della tubereuse criminelle,che non c'entrava niente,e poi il profumo si ferma li. Inoltre dopo il promo impatto con l'esplosione interessante perchè copiata, dopo 10 minuti circa il profumo diventa insignificante,debole e senza alcun carattere.

I bought this perfume concentrate in late spring, while strolling in Florence. As a tuberose lover with a strange kind of skin I'm always looking for a scent that doesn't turn weird on me after the first 10 minutes. If you take a look at my perfumes choices you can see that my seek for the perfect tuberose has been long and still going strong. Well, surprisingly this not expensive perfume is one of the best tuberose I've tried so far. It stays stable on my skin without harsh peaks and bitter under notes. It lasts a while, radiating the comfortable warmth that is the signature of this flower, with our being overpowered by any other note. Definitely a nice find for tuberose lovers.

This little-known beauty is the most beautiful, realistic tuberose perfume I have ever smelled. Its rich and creamy without being sweet. I adore it. I have to agree with houzi regarding the opening of this perfume. It does open a little harsh, but dries down very quickly into a realistic rendition of the flower. I once tested this on my skin after acquiring some fresh tuberoses from my gracious neighbor. I set the vase of flowers next to me and let the lovely fragrance of tuberoese surround me. I couldn't tell where the perfume ended and the scent of the real flowers began. Truly lovely.
