Dominican Tobacco

My first plunge into the world of Ibraheem AlQurashi. I like the word "plunge". I'll say it once more. Plunge. And I'm going to follow that with an Oof, because this is one blow your head off, smoky old bastard of a perfume. The rich tobacco and smoke absolutely leaps out of the bottle at you, as soon as you apply the smallest amount of pressure to the sprayer. And once it's on your skin, you ain't getting it off Sonny Jim, oh no. Fucking no chance mate. So, if you don't like smoky perfumes, keep on scrolling, you social media whore, as you'll hate this perfume as much as I hate racism, and I hate that A LOT. For me, I have nothing but praise for Dominican Tobacco. It is deeper than an Olympic diving pool. There is some very clever use of herbs in it, which only strengthen the tobacco notes, as the herbs within it do a superb job of supporting the tobacco, allowing it to shine brightly, or darkly, depending on how you look at it. The guaiac wood, something which can make or break a perfume, absolutely makes it here. It sits calmly but firmly, in the middle of this utter beast, providing the perfect link between the top and base notes. It really is very clever, and shows a natural talent in both working with difficult scent notes and general perfumery construction. I am now curious about the other perfumes in IAQ's tobacco series. But I'm fucking glad I started with this one. 8/10. It loses two points because of the 20ml size; it is at the upper end of what I will pay for 20mls of fragrance.

Not for sissies. This is hard black tobacco, smoky oud-y incense, with absolutely no sweetness at all. This is the campfire in the woods after the party and everyone has already left. This is the fire at the end of its life, dark grey embers, hardly any amber light at all even after you poke it with the branch you found. Only wear it to funerals, bonfires, Hallowe'en, or if you're watching a horror movie at the cinema, especially when on your own. I wear it to work sometimes in my office which normally gets a reaction. I have a couple of hundred scents ranging from Angels' Share to mainline designer to Parisi's, Andy Tauer's to Lattafa, Armaf, to sweets that probably very few women would wear, but this one is one of my most used. It's sublime. That means nothing to anyone else, but for a Middle Eastern reasonably priced totally linear dark ash manly fragrance with very decent longevity and projection, it's an absolute triumph. 2 spare bottles in the cupboard. Don't wear it with shorts and flip flops or you really deserve to, and should get arrested. EDIT 19/02/26 - This has developed a wonderfully strong, addictive, sweet tinge to it that wasn't there before and although still very much a male oriented dark tobacco ash-y fragrance it will surely become a more people pleasing scent. I gave one of my bottles to my friend some time ago and smelt it on him and this projects at least a metre and the sweetness shone through. Still an absolute bomb of a fragrance for a very small fee.

An amazing fragrance. Dry as a nun's, uhh.. humour. Not a lot of sweet going on. The colour association I make with it is exactly the colour of the bottle. Longevity is 18 hours on my skin (which eats fragrances like it hasn't seen food in weeks and just discovered a pot of hot chicken-necks) and I get very loud projection for around 5 hours. When other reviewers say this is eternal and loud as a banshee, take this into consideration. My bottle has probably not matured enough yet to make an assessment on the fragrance-notes itself, but straight out of the box it is atomic. Who'd wear this? Al Capone.. probably.

Seems nobody has given a proper breakdown, here is what I have to say: I pick up a decent amount of notes that are not listed here. I smell an earthy tobacco coupled with incense, and amber. This fragrance is basically if Interlude and Black Afgano had a baby. I love it so far. You get that “hashish” essence of Black Afgano on top of the incense/amber backbone of Interlude. The “hashish” effect is strong in the opening, and the fragrance settles down to a more smoky, incensey amber. It only costed me about 50 USD. Definitely try this fragrance if you can find it online.

Funnily enough, this is the fragrance that has earned me the most compliments. It has a bold, earthy tobacco vibe that exudes masculinity, and its longevity is insane—I can still smell it on my clothes three days later. The sillage is absolutely nuclear. I was in a mall once, and a guy literally followed my scent trail just to ask me what I was wearing. If you want a powerful, long-lasting fragrance that turns heads, I highly recommend this one for colder seasons. (to avoid in closed areas if you are with sensible people)

Mexican tobacco 2. Cuban tobacco (this should have been one but the magic is in the dry down) 3. Arabian tobacco 4. Dominican tobacco 5. Jamaican tobacco 6. Spanish tobacco 7. French tobacco 8. Brazilian tobacco 9. Greek tobacco

An ashy and earthy tobacco done to perfection. It's like you're wearing a clothes made out of tobacco leaf which a touch of freshness and sweetness. From the opening to the dry down is addicting. I dont care who dislike this fragrance or thinks it is a bit overwhelming, I love this. Longevity and projection is a BEAST!!! If you love ashy and earthy tobacco fragrance like Terroni, this is for you.

Dominican Tobacco is a great pick if you want the vibe of Orto Parisi Terroni without paying the higher price it feels like a strong budget friendly alternative that delivers a very similar smoky earthy scent profile دومينيكان توباكو خيار ممتاز لمن لا يرغب في شراء تيروني من أورتو باريسي فهو يقدم بديلا بميزانية أقل ويمنحك نفس الأجواء الدخانية الترابية بشكل قريب جدا

Dominican Tobacco is dry, dark, and dense. That's a lot of D. Serious big D energy. Many of the notes here seem inverted from where one usually finds them. Tobacco as a top note? Bergamot and saffron in the base? I will need to devote some attention to its evolution.

I'm in love with this masterpiece, the fragrance quality is superb and LONGEVITY is 48 hrs with a niche sillage The smell is 10/10 Longevity 10/10 Sillage 10/10 I love the saffron hints available from the beginning till it dies

Got the discovery set. I think it's closer to black afgano and its inspired by it. Strong but seems easier to wear than black afgano.

A great piece of art. Great longevity but can be overpowering at times. Gotta be careful.

In my choice, It's the 2nd best of diamond series. 👊 Love it.

Okay, just forget about the term fragrance. This juice is exactly burnt cigar. For first few hours it smells brutally bitter, which is pleasing and not overpowering. I'd say this is a good layering scent for winter and fall. Absolutely not unisex, not that its a manly frag but just wouldn’t suit women in my opinion. A cigar (not sweet tobacco) put off and you smell the mouthpiece side of it after 5 minutes, thats exactly what it smells like. Very long lasting, don’t even get me started on dry down because it takes at least 14 hours for the top notes to dissolve into mid and you’ll probably never smell the base notes because you’ll bathe next day which will wash down the frag. NUCLEAAARRR and just Different stuff. Hands down to Dominican Tobacco by IBRAQ.

This is an extreme middle eastern perfume. If you like dense perfume this is the one for you. It could be cloying to some people but in my opinion there’s a dark dense tobacco scent to it. Definitely gets you compliments but initially it can be very strong. Very masculine scent profile. If you want to smell like an arab with a heavy scent on your thobe then it’s a must buy.

This stuff is pretty good! If you are looking for something dank to announce yourself in any room, put on a few sprays of this. Its blended well and I can pick out all of the notes in its list. Easy 8 hours performance with minimal sprays. Im sure you can go a full day with a dozen. 8/10

Extremely bold smell not for any one

this is not a blind buy safe. It's an okay scent for me, but i'd recommend you to smell before buying it.

This basically opens like a harsh mix of tobacco leather and oud, dries down to a warm ambery tobacco smell that is badly mixed, eventually settles down into terroni by orto parisi but a sedated version. Scent 4/10 Longevity 8/10 Sillage 7/10 Note: If you can't afford terroni and REALLY like it then just get this, otherwise just buy terroni
