Orrisilla

Orrisilla is not a gourmand at all, but it has a sort of deliciousness about it. The type of orris that is bready, doughy, that is the consistency of a creamy powder compact, kissed by vanilla. I also sense an almondy facet to this, which I believe to be mimosa. It has a richness to it, like butter, that melds with my skin really nicely. Despite the edible notes, this is a cosmetic powder type scent that doesn’t feel dated in the slightest. It also smells very natural, which is refreshing given every new scent these days seem to have very harsh molecule notes. Throw and longevity are modest, as are most powdery scents. This is one of my favorite orris scents to date. Could easily be a daily, signature scent.

One of my new favorite amber fragrances! Super well blended, makeup-y vibes but in a really soft, cozy way. I think the orris is so so smooth. Perfect everyday scent. I feel dreamy every time I wear it and have no shame wearing as a bed time scent!

I received this as a sample from The Perfume Guy’s Mystery Box #4. This was my favorite fragrance from this box. Super pretty, and def full bottle worthy.

Patchouli, sweet, cedar kinda dominate.

Have been on an iris kick lately and wanted to give this one a try (sample). Beautiful, super-light skin scent on me. Not a huge fan of vanilla though. I would guess it would be fine around co-workers. A good signature scent to wear every day. Interesting that it's labeled for women. I could see either gender pulling this one off. Quite classy, though Iris Nazarena still remains my fave iris pick.

I, too, was introduced to this scent by The Perfume Guy Mystery Box #4. First spray is very sharp and somewhat unpleasant. It mellows as it dries down, but becomes a skin scent very quickly, and there's nothing remarkable about it. There are many fragrances that don't work on my skin, so I don't fault Sebastian or anyone else who likes this. It just didn't work for me.

TPG didn't steer us wrong with this one. I don't even normally like Iris/Orris but this one is the exception. Very strong but lovely iris throughout. A must try (unless you hate iris).

Naunces of berries with light cocao accord wrapped by a straight forward thick orris aura. This is for orris lovers for sure. Cheers
