Iceberg Homme

Bottom line: this is a great barbershop scent but performance is mediocre. Its scent is similar to Enrico Coveri but with a pleasing spicy-peppery note. I really, really like this fragrance and prices are very reasonable. Recommend with performance caveats. (Update: Paul Sebastian PS Design for Men is very similar and I get much better performance.)

Number one Iceberg fragrance I have ever owned. Loved it and missing it. In 1993, the best I have ever had was this and Versus by Gianni Versace. I really wish, Iceberg would pay attention to this and re-create the formula and same exact bottle. I don't mind buying 2 bottles

Excellent value for money. The perfume is slightly vintage but still very current. At the opening it is very citrusy but the lavender is clearly perceived. I dare say very similar to Davidoff's Cool Water. The sillage is medium but the durability is medium-high.

Best of the best of all iceberg ever had. Never one created like this again. I wish one day iceberg would release again, in a new form. I will definetely buy several bottles right away. Is it possible to make an enquiry to iceberg?

A very fresh citrus with florals and some green/mossy notes. Very pleasant. Longevity and silage are not good though. If it had better performance, it would be a top notch citrus.

I look at the fragrance notes and discover that 22 ingredients have listed that range between citrus fruits, flowers of all kinds, woods, musks, and leathery notes. Even before smelling it, I want to imagine it in my head. Will it be a chypre? Or a fougère? It is definitely not an aquatic, but it could be a woody one or even a spicy one with a leathery reflex. I think I should spray it on my skin and find out what these notes whisper to us in one fragrance. We remember that perfume was born in the 90s when opulence and abundance were the masters. A fresh herbal lavender a la "Cool Water (Eau de Toilette) | Davidoff", mixed with sharp and soapy citrus fruit, are the first notes that reach my nostrils right out of the initial blast. The acidic facet of the berries soon meets the grassy and green nuances of some unspecified leaves. What a surprise! From the blue-grey glass, I expected something blue or aquatic. Instead, the essence oozes green, fresh, with tangy edges, and slowly takes a floral twist. The floral heart notes, which already echo in the background, do not overwhelm the initial opening with their presence, even if the neroli peeps out soon. Then, neroli takes leadership of the flowers that emerge later. I first feel the carnation without too much bitterness, which is followed by bold jasmine and hyacinth. Then there is a dewy freesia in the background, which keeps the bouquet light green and prevents it from becoming too heavy. The bitterness of the carnation rises through the floral notes and pleasantly strengthens it. While the heart notes may seem different, the similarity between Cool Water and Iceberg Homme is very pronounced at this stage of development. But it doesn’t surprise me at all. Iceberg Homme came out a couple of years later and Cool Water was gaining fame in that decade. The nutmeg is pretty sweet, while the rose and the iris are subdued and difficult to isolate. Eventually the floral notes take backstage and an amber patchouli base comes to the fore. Thru the drydown, this sweet, somewhat salty, and warm scent is present while oakmoss becomes prominent. Oakmoss, on me, is the more notable note thru the end, although all the other notes come and go, like fragrance brought from changing breezes on a walk thru a grassy field. In the last traces, I recall another two colognes I used when I was young, "Enrico Coveri pour Homme Dollar | Enrico Coveri" and "Borsalino (Eau de Toilette) | Borsalino". To my nose, leather is barely detectable, and more akin to suede. Do not expect a leathery Tom Ford slant, not that kind. Unexpectedly, the reformulated release has moderate sillage but average longevity. The scent stays with me for many hours, mossy. I find it great for spring and summer months, mostly for daily and evening events. An overwhelming feeling of pleasant smell, a hybrid of "Cool Water (Eau de Toilette) | Davidoff" and "Enrico Coveri pour Homme Dollar | Enrico Coveri".

This is one of those fragrances that smells dated and not resembling anything natural, it feels somehow like it's representative of a not so long bygone era, when we wore things like this. Do you know what though? I really enjoyed it. Blind bought very cheaply and although I may have a clean out of my collection, and this would get the boot, I was reminded that I can still derive pleasure from something like Iceberg Homme. It's got a feel of the typically clean, mens, powdery, musky body with a head of synthetic smelling lavender. Something about it is inviting and reminiscent of shaving products, it's a poor man's barbershop (being that's there's a fair few high end ones) fragrance. If I had to compare it to something it would be difficult, yet it feels so familiar at the same time. Maybe versace dreamer but without warmth or depth of tobacco, or Versace Blue Jeans but without the creamy sweetness...so like neither of those haha. Two people have said Fendi Uomo which as much as I've not trashed this fragrance, I still find an insult. I mean how could you even think they were remotely similar? Lasts pretty good and will likely get another wear before it gets tossed aside like so many others.

Surprisingly pleasant smell. It could be the lemon, or the florals, or the oakmoss. But then again, it could be all of those blended nicely and much more. A whiff from a bygone era, when even an plain, unassuming and inexpensive fragrance could smell so good, and last so long that a couple of spritzes would suffice for a calendar day. If progress means selling a less naturally smelling, more expensive and less long lasting perfume then color me old fashioned any day.

My first experience with Iceberg fragrances was Iceberg Twice Pour Homme,which I hated as it was too sweet.However Iceberg Homme is a real classic,if old fashioned scents are to your taste,was ok.Great if you want something subtle,fresh smelling & not very exciting or long lasting,try:-in my opinion,if you want fresh,sexy,casual,long lasting:Samourai 47 by Alain Delon.A gorgeous fragrance that lasts for hours.

Fresh, light, citrusy barberhop scent. On the verge of smelling dated but it is still wearable in 2022. People might say it's more a spring/summer scent but I pull it off all year around. A weak performer though. No longevity neither sillage. Under 10 euro it does not matter, I enjoy it until it lasts.

Very enjoyable herbaceous aura as per Basile Uomo, Azarro PH, Le Tour De France, Taxi, Lomani PH, etc. But the longevity & sillage are horrendous.

To me it smells like the extrait of wet metal. Always tought it should have been called: ALIEN. Very unearthy.

strong and very metalic. the nostalgic smell of the 80's, vibrant, happy yet dramatic. 5/10

Now this was the real metal fragrance! It smelled like frosted metal, really! :)

I bought this one today, not because i had too but only because it was cheap and also for nostalgic reasons. I Had this one back in 1993 and the performance back then was definitely way better than the version i have now in my hands. I sprayed it on my skin 45 minutes ago and it's gone for the most part.

Tested today; i'm not really impressed.... very strong opening of citrus with a predominant note of lavender. Try before buy.

Very strong lavender scent. But the other ingredients are just too much. It's a strange scent from the nineties.

living in a ountry like india, one cannot avoid smelling like shithole..we need really strong and long lasting fragrances..i was given a leftover bottle from by brother-in-law with a small quantity of perfume..When i wore it to office, wow the entire floor crowded around me and wanted to smell me allover lol...it seducts both men and women..definitely the best citrus..where can i buy it in australia?..been searching for it in airport duty free shops for so long..

I was surprised to read the comments and find that no one was comparing it to Original Santal from Creed. To me, this smells like an Original Santal clone, just a lot worse in terms of quality and performance, but that's to be expected at this price. It's decent for the cost. My nose picks up *really* strong wood and citrus notes. The other notes are there too but seem to fade fast. This one doesn't have a long opening compared to other frags.

Opens green and fresh, aromatic, a bit generic, a bit classic. Projection below average.Then, leter on, come some warm woody/ambery notes in the dry down. Citrus is strong upfront but dissipates quite quickly and leaves the floor to sandalwood/cardamom. It leans toward Joop Homme, Mont Blanc Individuel, Creed Original Santal in the dry down. Longevity and projection are weak.

Vintage bottle, probably from the 90's! This is a charming fragrance, I was surprised. It is similar to Original Santal by Creed, but with less roundness to it. This is to OS by Creed, like a song's demo to the final product. But nevertheless a good demo!

Smells like a cheap soap. Dumb reach for the gym type and lower level accountants, it would also make a great fart fighter in your Skoda.

Starts off Irish spring soap...mellows down to a Bounce fabric softener smell. Not bad.
