Last Canto

Feel good in a bottle. No matter how down you can feel, this is uplifting. It’s sparkling, bright, comforting, just a tiny bit naughty, playfull but totally elegant and chic in the same time. Powdery bouquet of flowers, a whole field of it but without even an ounce of old or outdated feel. Don’t be afraid of the powder note, it’s everything modern powdery should be. Beautiful and of such a quality. Elegance and brightness in a bottle. And what I find exceptional if the cumin note which comes in the opening. First time I was like “hm, I am smelling some cumin coming up” and thought it just cannot come from the perfume because, what would a cumin note do in a powdery very floral composition. And yet, it is there, naughtly little thing that sneaks out in the opening. Beautiful. I don’t know if this was their East meets West type of signature in the fragrance but what a great idea. A feel happy perfume that goes with everything any time, from morning to black tie evening.

A pretty, flirty, yet animalic and sultry perfume! That text in description is mildly cringing (I think!). But yes, this perfume is a flirty dance - towards the end of the evening, the cumin is sweaty and slightly hormonal, but it's not spicy/heavy. It's ultra femme,in a coquettish slightly pink way. If you're sensitive to cumin you'll get the sweaty tones, but it does stay pretty - warm with cinnamon, powdery with iris, just the right touch of sweet, and a bit tasty with milky gourmand almond and fluffy heliotrope. I like it, because it hits the contemporary mood of slightly retro powdery scents, but it's not boring, it's definitely flirty and sensual. When or where would I wear this? Hmm, I think it's fun party mode, but not loud. A small party maybe, when there's someone there you've taken a fancy to. An imaginative perfume that stays pretty while being different and subtly sensual. Sillage moderate, longevity good

I have this perfume in its 100 ml bottle. It is a perfume with a duration of 8 hours. With a mild medium intensity. In aroma the heart of this perfume is a fresh and clean floral set. I really enjoy the set of fragipani, a flower that I love. The iris and violet give it a dusty but very light touch. Almond and vanilla give it a sweet, but very natural aroma. Spices are incorporated into the perfume in a very delicate way, they give it personality. It is a dance of flowers, clean and comfortable. It is not a scenic perfume, nor complicated to use. Very versatile, it is an easy-to-carry scent for people of any age and a scent that I can carry at every moment of the day. With a perceptible intensity but that does not invade the personal space of others. I feel extremely comfortable with this aroma, it makes me feel good.

Ideo Parfumeurs is a nice little brand with fragrances that are not the most complex in the world, but have a real olfactory and qualitative appeal. Thanks to a friend, I was able to test three perfumes from the range and Last Canto was really my favourite of the bunch. A very nice powdery and warm/spicy fragrance with good quality ingredients. I can really smell the different notes of the perfume, even though the blending is very good. Despite the name and the inspiration of the perfume, it reminds me more of a typical "Indian" scent, but this is of course my personal interpretation. Overall, it is a powdery, almondy balsam type of scent, slightly spiced up with rose and cumin. A blend that works very well and gives me a real feeling of comfort without being too innocent. Highly recommend it!

This was a blind buy for me, I was intrigued by the artwork, and there's a picture of a gun on its box, so I thought it's gonna be something mafia-ish.... The actual scent catches me off guard. It's not something that I'd associate with gun whatsoever. It's a gentle baby powder which projects moderately but stays a long time (around 8 hours++). The iris, heliotrope, and almond are (I think) what contribute the most to the overall scent. Cinnamon and cumin give the perfume a bit of twist so it doesn't fall into baby perfume category. Leaning feminine, but I think guys can wear it too....

An intimate,caressing,ancient fragrance.... very sophisticated. A dusty iris with accents of almond but not as sweet as you might think, here instead the almond "accompanies" the other notes keeping in distance but at the same time always present. I love the heliotrope here, in the background musk and woods complete the work. A lovely scent, i like it very much! Sillage: 7./10 Longevity: 8./10 Scent: 8./10 Overall: 8.5/10

Last Canto smells like a marriage between an ultra-cuddly and a very formal scent, probably due to the iris note. And for once a scent that will last and last on you without being overly loud.

Last Canto is the best long lasting powdery/spicy perfume i have smelled AND it is at a very affordable price for a niche perfume brand. we should talk more about this really conscious beauty brand, so refreshing in this crowded market.

Opening smells like soapy potpourri. Drydown smells nicer, like powdery potpourri.

I love everything from Ideo Parfumeurs , first of all because of their values ... Vegan , cruelty free brand . They have a very simple packaging , they sais in social media it is to be 100% recyclable and to have a better budget for the fragrances . I think its brave from them, the bottle is simple but the scent so long lasting and good , waou ! This brand should be on the top 20 in sales .

A bomb of almond and tonka beans, iris and violet. Musks and soft sandal are among the bottom notes, the pyramid in the web site could not be truer to the finished work. It has a creamy, sensual, clean, plushy effect. A fragrance for cashmere addicts, hahaha!
