Pistachio Paradise

A really nutty and delicious honey mixed with straight marzipan (to be really specific, this smells very similar to the burts bees milk & almond hand cream with the cow cap, though if they reformulated after 2014 - I wouldn’t know!) for those unaware, the hand cream I am referring to was a very strong, sweet almond oil scent which created the marzipan association. It is also fairly similar to my discontinued love Serene Sierra though too warm and vanilla heavy. I really appreciate the memory of that hand cream that this scent has provided (aka 13 year old me and friends being jealous our friend had it and letting us smell it) As it dries down it’s a warm, creamy, sweet vanilla with the honey and pistachio still being present but the sugar syrup taking the reins - less of a fresh burts bees hand cream application and more an hour after it has settled. I really enjoy the way this scent sinks into the skin, providing the ever so slightest plastic / suncream hint as it blends with your natural scent. Very lovely. So why have I rated this as ok? Simply because if I sprayed this around my neck I’d be nauseous. It is too warm sweet (and a little juvenile in a way) for my taste but I will very happily get through my sample on my clothes and wrists only. I will happily try some others from this brand too. Sadly I do also think this perfume does fall into the “why pay £££ when you can pay £ for This is Her! ?” For those on the hunt for a true pistachio, this is more a heavy dusting of it on a syrupy honey vanilla shake.
