Orange Sunshine

You know i had to do a review about oranges and sunshine. I am in florida after all. Lets get to it shall we. Orange sunshine is a sweet power house not overly sweet like a gourmand. But tangysweet like an orange. The first spray of this is a explosion of orange and sweetend myrrh. *please note this a powerful fragrance so go easy on the trigger and the sprayer is up there with creeds or diors. The mist and amount of perfume that is dispersed is quite impressive. (the review) Sweetend oranges with a hint of myrrh layered on some vanilla/honey is what i get for hours. The top lasts and last throughout the duration of the fragrance. After an hour or so the mid adds a few more notes to the symphony. I slowly start to detect a musky undertone and this ghostly aroma of incense with myrrh in the background. It's faintly noticeable until it hits the drydown. That is where this beast shines. The dry down still projects for awhile and what you end up with after the metamorphosis from the initial spray is faint oranges layered with creamy sandalwood,vanilla and myrrh Simple and beautiful. * i have to say it hits on all the aspects very well. Quality. Unique. Tenacious aroma. Pleasant to myself and others. The very first time i wore this out i was complimented by a stranger. I mean what else can you ask for. Such a great fragrance that last 12+ hours. *I stand corrected it lasts for 12 hours as a dab and 24 when sprayed. If this sounds interesting to you. Give it try you might find a new love. First time I tried this I over sprayed and I just didn't enjoy it this stuff is beastmode on steroids on my skin super strong one spray is plenty once I figured that out (like a month later when I tried it again) I fell in love with it. I kinda feel like it's just too powerful for warm weather. I like it in the colder weather based on the performance but the scent itself feels like it should be summery so maybe a Spring evening is ideal. Orangey syrupy smokey incensey .. Idk it's just different in a really good way. Cool spring evening sun going down suede jacket drink in hand smoke in the air good music playing a really cool vibe that's what it feels like to me anyway. Maybe not for everyone and that's ok but definitely for me. And I'm gonna mention how strong it is one more time because (on my skin anyway) it is an absolute powerhouse.

I love it so much, it is a sweet, harmonious scent with a very nice velvety background! The myrrh perfectly combines with orange, the other notes are in the background. In the drydown there are accents of amber notes that go and come intermittently and make this particular perfume. The sillage is strong and the longevity is very (+ 12h) on me, it's fine for the summer, for the summer evenings a bit nostalgic... this perfume combines psychedelic-flowers-amber-resin. It's really A nice scent, unique! Sillage: 9/10 Longevity: 10./10 Scent: 9/10 Overall: 9./10

A couple of striking impressions I get from this one upon the initial experience. Ice cold Kool-Aid, LSD, and feminine 60's incense. The 60's—happy times for some people. This seems to be a fragrance especially tailored for such people with ties to the past. Could we call it a nostalgic aromatic? It seemingly strives to hit on that note, and invoke all of the emotions tied to those memories, for those who have them. The orange has a lot of lift to it, with a distinct sweetness; very similar to the crisp essence of Kool-Aid as I remember it as a child. I think the LSD impression comes from a sleight of reference, relating to the fact that LSD in the 60's was often taken on colored paper with Kool-Aid, or added to the Kool-Aid, or added to Jello to make windowpanes. The Myrrh note second most prominent here. It's pretty mellow and blended down well for a myrrh note. There's a bit of a cloudy texture to it from arrangement of other aromatics that surround it. It creates somewhat of a headshop like aroma; dense, complex, multi-faceted, and a little domineering. I also get a somewhat juicy liquorish-like glazy candy aroma in the opening. Not bad really overall, but has somewhat of an indie tinge to it. And the aroma is somewhat heady and vintage in a way that I would say this is like the sweet aromatic version of a barbershop fragrance. It's not for everyone. Not just anyone is going to get it. And it probably isn't something worth experimenting with unless it isn't an expense to you.

I did not think I was going to like this scent because it came in a quirky wooden box, with a hippie woman decoupaged on the front. Inside the box, the fragrance is held in place by a little black leather vest with two metal grommets. On the opposite side are two rollerball samples of White Rabbit and Damn Hippie in similar tiny black leather vests. It looks like the perfect gift for a biker family, and I don't like it at all. I love art, I am a huge fan of creative thinking, but that box was just plain ugly and I was reluctant to try the scent. Good thing that years of collecting have taught me that sometimes it's better to ignore the packaging and just try the juice. I originally tried this in the summer and it was too heavy and thick. In cooler weather, this is beautiful and interesting. I adore the light freshness of my Atelier Orange Sanguine in the summer, but wanted a cold weather citrus. I am trying to choose between Tauer Orange Star on one wrist and Orange Sunshine on the other. Orange Sunshine is the clear winner. The Tauer has a lot of incense and very little orange whereas the Orange Sunshine is a creamy smokey orange over beeswax with a warm incense in the background, and it lasts hours. It's exactly what I was looking for! Love it.

Lovely sweet orange with some dusty, slightly Smokey incense and myrrh in the background. Some vanilla and amber comes out in the dry down while keeping everything else.
