Cumino Garofano

Massimiliano Torti is an Italian perfumer from Umbria who gives concession to sell his creations only to very very few boutiques: ten or eleven in Italy. He decided not to make any sample available and if one is interest, one must contact these shops and see what can be arrange to obtain some samples. Given this limited availability, I will do a review en brief of four of the scents that I really really loved so that if they strike your attention, you may decide to hunt them down (I think they are only available through perfume shops in Italy). Think that the majority of them do not have even entries on fragrantica or parfumo. 1)radice verde di vetyver (green root of vetiver) this is a radical masculine vetiver. it starts extremely green with a fir note done to perfection (it feels so '70s). very herbal and very spicy with tiny touches of licorice, it morphs into a rooty earthy vetiver. 2) cumino-garofano for those who have experience with Azyiadè, they will find here the opening, just more citrusy. The cumin is more subdued and the drydown more vanillic with touches of patchouli. 3)elicriso (helycrisum) this has the classical mitsouko style chypre structure, but the flower in the heart is a very spicy nad very fiery leathery immortelle. The base is a good rendition of oakmoss 4) mirra (myrrh) for lovers of myrrh, this is a must try. touches of oud are helpful in incrementing the fungal aspect of myrrh. The oud has petrolate vibes rendering the myrrh very medicinal. very smoky thanks to the styrax and cypriol, but the base is a soft enveloping sandalwood. a perfume of contrast. consider follow me on IG @alexolympia6

Reminiscent of Aziyade Parfum d'Empire, this feels much more denser. Not a cumin bomb as the namd suggests. I want a decant! Follow me on IG @alexolympia6
