Trumpet Flower

I impulse-bought a selection of testers from eBay from this perfume house. None of them were pleasant, but Trumpet Flower was something else. Unbelievably, instantly recognisable. This is the nearest you are ever going to get to big, scented white lilies. I receive a lot of compliments when I wear this perfume, and it last 24 hours and beyond. Its staying power is immense. The bottle I have was a gift - I had no idea how expensive this was (the large bottle was around £150, maybe more), but believe me, if you love the smell of hot-house white lilies, there is nothing that smells more like them, or that lasts as well as this perfume. This is not a 'cool and refreshing' perfume - it is a deep, dark, hot, mother-earth 'funeral' smell - there's nothing else quite like it.

This is one of my favourite perfumes! It smells like a stunning lily blended with jasmine and a touch of honey. Happily I get very little cumin as it's not a note I enjoy. It's a monster so you need to be really careful not to overspray (I'm tempted to decant some into a old school perfume bottle so I can dab it on and not accidentally over do it😂) It's relatively linear with the honey and wood becoming slightly more prominent at the very end but it's so beautiful and it lasts forever too- 24hrs on skin and days on clothes.

Simple yet stunning, something dark and wet under a bed of angel's trumpet, like poison dripping of their petals.... beautiful and bewitching, and in terms of strength nothing less than an atomic bomb... a bit difficult to wear, because it's VERY unique and so potent! something like I imagined Freak by Ilamasqua would smell but that one is baby or at most toddler sister to this one. I have the tall foggy bottle, that's supposed to be high concentration perfume, and for the first time ever I believe 100% of such claim.

I grow Datura "Angels Trumpet" and was pretty shocked at how accurately the heavy hypnotic fragrance had been captured in a bottle. This is definitely one for evening wear as it is a dense but beautiful creation and I would happily wear it. I love the banana in this lol. Ok so its not listed but I think it is a by product of the neroli, jasmine and honey. The cumin nails the slightly dirty aspect of this scent. Good longevity and silage. A must have for me.

What a gorgeous composition...!!!! And for my biggest regret - discontinued already..... I am very glad to have a bottle of this perfume in my collection, but I am desperately trying to find another creation identical with this one if possible, because the day when I will ran out of Trumpet Flower, it will be a very sad day... Anyone who can help with a suggestion ? Thank you!!

Strong, stinky, polarised. It's a love or hate fragrance, very intoxicating and heavy on the first spray, the it mellows down quite a bit. Strong datura, musk and possibly cumin in the opening, then it settles into a soft honey and jasmine mixture, with a tiny hint of orange Blossom. I adore it, especially the opening note. 😍

Does Trumpet Flower smell like tuberose? I'm wondering because this perfume sure does. It's that billowy, wilted tuberose scent, like a soft blanket. I feel vague overlaps with a couple of the creations of le Grand Serge--probably Datura Noir and Fleurs d'Oranger, although Trumpet Flower is not at all sweet and syrupy. And it was launched by the prolific Michael Boadi, compatriot of our friends in the British parliament and prime minister David Cameron, happily a true believer in republican values, despite the recent birth of a child to Kate, Duchess of Cambridge. Catherine, I am told that she should now be called, may become the future Queen consort (not regnant) of England. Consort or Regnant? It doesn't really matter because Britain is a Constitutional Monarchy, the royal family of which has basically zip to do with politics, at least as far as I can tell. They certainly didn't seem to put any pressure on the prime minister for an air assault on Syria, thank God or reasonable facsimile. Basically, in Britain, being the Queen means you get to wear lots of big hats. Trumpet Flower is a serious white-flower-lovers only bouquet. The darkness may have something to do with the cumin listed in the note hierarchy, but fortunately it does not smell at all like cumin here. Rather than a dirty, sweaty cast, these petals smell like the inside of a hothouse: very humid. To me, this is a tuberose perfume, whatever anyone else may say!

I love stargazer lilies, and searched forever for a fragrance that smelled like them. When I sampled Trumpet Flower for the first time knew the search was over. It smells exactly like bold and beautiful lilies. When it is present it is just impossible to ignore it. One of the strongest perfumes I have ever smelled. Definitely not a soft and cute one that has the potential to suit about anyone. Trumpet Flower is real and humid. Hypnotic in a way that you can get lost in it. Have had it close to two years now and it still smells fresh like the first day it was given to me, however I am unable to wear it very often. Both the silage and the longevity are super strong. Once you have sprayed it there is no way back. One needs to be very careful about how much of the potion one should let out. Trumpet Flower is like a charming date. It is exciting and dreamy but has the potential to turn into a stalker that follows you like your shadow. TF is rather expensive. I would never dare to buy it before sampling it on my own skin. It is of high quality, though. I think one of the few expensive fragrances that really does everything to deserve its price tag.

Wierd, peculiar, compelling, interesting perfume. Both aggresive. and alluring. When I first sprayed it, I cant say I liked it. But, then it morphed into something beautiful. The reviews below do capture this perfume perfectly. Though its linear in its scent. There's something about it, that makes me feel one way about it in the beginning, sort of off put at the start. Then captures me and keeps me by the end. It's a long ride too. This perfume is strong, and hangs around for days. Its really a very interesting perfume. Quite beautiful in its unique way. Though I think it's the spice in it that is so strategically placed, gives it such an interesting vibe. It's ethereal. As if a cloud of darkly but intoxicating flowers and a hint of warm spice was following you like a shadow that's always one step ahead and one step behind you. Reminiscent of the Times of Edgar Allen Poe, Lord Byron, Jack the Ripper, and Mary Shelly's Frankenstein. Very mysterious. I love it.

First when I sprayed this scent on my wrist, I felt aggressively attacked by a sharp dark and. loud earthy cloud. However now, after some 20 minutes I am getting envolved by a cool slightly powdery, nasty and though heavenly aroma. I am starting to kike it. Funnily I am more the flowwry type, but this scent has turned into an amazing vibe. It feelspowdery, datura flowery, somehow dark but harmonious. It is quite present though velvetly round, humid and somehow tropical and not loud nor aggressive anymore. I am starting to fall in love. Definetely not an every day scent, but very special and worth a good try, as long as you bring some patience to let it evolve. It may. e worth it...

This fragrance sits smack bang in the middle of a banana-like, sweet, vanillic tuberose and a rough aggressive French jasmine. White floral all the way and packs a punch when first sprayed. The balance of both flowers is great and one never outshines the other. The vanillic quality of this really tempers what would have been a massively overbearing and scratchy jasmine. It lasts a very long time, and the dry down developing stages see some of the aggressive qualities back off. Musk starts to soften it and makes it feel more powdery, all in all though it's really about the white flowers. Not full bottle worthy for me, but glad I got to try it! :)

I bought this ages ago, and it's been sat in a dark corner of my room for the past while... Initially, I was quite put off by the banana like opening- but today, I decided to give it another go. Yes, the banana situation is very much there, but it quite alluringly reminds me of the humid smell of wilting lilies. Kind of deathly, heavy and a bit cloying. I'm trying to brainstorm some apt events for me to wear it to. Yesterday, I was at an exhibition opening in a church, I should have given it a good spritz then. Oh well. Hindsight comes late, but is always accurate.

To me it smells like lily. That's it. 100% lily flower. That's it. What banana, what datura, what jasmine or cumin (maybe this one added just to emphasize the smell of lily). Nothing else but lily to my nose. While I highy and sincerely appreciate perfumes that mix so greatly the ingredients as to create a singular smell (like Amouage Love tuberose or this one) i don't see myself smelling like this. But I do apprecite the creation

I blind brought this - as I was looking for slightly dirtied orange blossom... Then I saw the notes & reviews on here and became even more intrigued This isn't Orange Blossom, Datura, or even Jasmine; It's a big ol' punch in the face of TUBERROSE, on top of some cumin - with a honey drydown. It's rather beautiful, just not what I was looking for - but I'm glad that it is in my collection.

This is a banana-y white floral and it’s gorgeous and long lasting! Sometimes it’s hard to tell white florals apart like jasmin, tuberose and lily and this in my opinion is no different. This does smell a lot like tuberose but also jasmin.. and also lily lol. You get the idea though, very tropical smelling!

This is lovely. I sampled it and couldn’t get the fragrance out of my mind. If you like rich white flowers you will like this. Sillage and longevity are both excellent with just a few sprays. Sadly it has been discontinued but I managed to buy a fb at a good price via Ebay.
