The Mermaid

smells so pretty and beachy! opens with a nice grapefruit note and then dries down into a more floral/salty smell. its also glittery which i didn't expect. longevity seems pretty good, its only been an hour but its still going strong. i will say it’s not the most unique or niche fragrance out there but for sure not an offensive smell

Picked this up after spritzing a tester and wandering around all day smelling my wrists. Gives JHAG Sunny Side Up vibes. Citrus and soft creamy sandalwood. Some gentle aquatic notes that compliment the citrus but don't lend an overall "watery" feel to this. If this is intended to be a mermaid scent, it's more the scene where Ariel washes up on shore and lays out in the sun with her new legs than under the sea Ariel. Pleasant, bright but not sharp, soft round creamy sandalwood, not too sweet. Longevity is good on skin, even better on clothes - I smell it on the sleeves of my coat days later.

I like this alot. It’s such an easy wear, inoffensive, could wear this anywhere. The sandalwood is most prominent on my skin but it is light and airy with a bit of a coastal quality. Longevity is about 3-4 hours but its cheap enough that i dont mind reapplying. My only complaint is that the atomiser refused to work on the 3rd spray so i had to decant it to another bottle. Annoying.

Opening spray, oh no. There's something strong in the opening that scratches my nasal passage... after it dries down I can appreciate it a little more. To me, it's like lemonheads candy on top of lotion (which I assume is the freesia). I don't get "mermaid" at all. Not something I see myself wearing.
