The Hall Of Hallucination

Right away from smelling the atomizer it gives Memoirs Of A Trespasser vibes: Sweet, smoky, resinous. But after spraying my immediate thought was, "Wow, this was made by BEES! Bees that practice Eastern Orthodox Christianity." That honey accord is very dominant in the opening and I don't hate that! I can also smell cedarwood in the beginning but as it dries off it starts to become smokier but also smoother and I think that's the resinous note I smelled on the atomizer which is probably the Somalian myrrh AND a floral note which I THINK is the opium or poppy flower. This fragrance smells like what the bottle art looks like. It smells dizzying, sweet, smoky, boozy, and woody. It lowkey gives me desert vibes. Like having a religious revelation in the desert where you come across a tree with a beehive dripping with Mad Honey that makes you trip. It smells like Memoirs Of A Tresspasser's older sibling that moved to a different country and discovered non-organized religion and opium dens. It's niche, it's artsy, it's fartsy. Honestly, not a bad blind buy from the house of Imaginary Authors. I will certainly get some mileage out of this. It gets 10 out of 10 crucified messiahs.

Honey/resin/smoke. Just enough funk in this one to keep it from being one note, it's very wearable and warm. I don't care for gourmands in general (a lot of them are too cloying for me) but the honey here is very warm. I'm a fan of their wood/smoke fragrances (Untamable, Memoirs of a Trespasser, Abdandoned Mansion, Whispered Myths) and this is definitely in line with those. Glad I picked this one up!

On my skin (I have fatty sweat, not salty one) it smells like a lot of honey and myrrh. No metallic notes of gold, no leathery notes. Some whisps of something smokey, but mostly honey. It sucks because I can't stand honey. Perfume feels like soft warm cloud, I wish my hallucinations were so comfortable and calming.

Why release this in May? This is a dead winter style fragrance that is releasing just as Summer is about to kick in across 99% of the civilized world.
