The Language Of Glaciers

As all Imaginary Author scents, it is atmospheric. It is clearly intended to be so, hence the harsh scent and how it comes off especially at first. This can be offputting to some, but I believe it is very fitting of the brand. Picture this: someone is searching for a mountainous scent. It is something akin to that of being by a lake during late winter, surrounded by nothing but forestry and soil. Though in my opinion, it's a bit more synthetic than ideal. Again, I believe that is just a side effect of it being atmospheric rather than it being made for personal wear. It works better situationally. The dry down is a bit powdery, and those floral scents peek through once it is settled on the skin certainly. Before the dry, however, expect a large waft of straight pine and ice. It is like going through multiple notes in a chronological order. Not sure how I feel about that aspect, but I digress. One of my favorites and my spring signature.

Windchill in a bottle. From a certain perspective, it reminds me of Creed - SMW, Nasomatto's Silver Musk, and MAB - Ganymede, in the sense that these are more "sensations/experiences" rather than scents made up of discernible layers/notes (to my nose). The lilac is quite prominent but the blending of the pine/juniper give it quite a sharpness, which is what brings a cold breeze to mind. At the moment, this is the most spot-on "cold/winter" perfume* I have tried, and I have tested scents like Zoologist's Penguin and Snowy Owl, which I enjoy but didn't satisfy my itch. *(CB's Walking in the Air would technically be the most realistically cold winter-air smell for me but it's considered a room-spray, not a perfume, since it dissipates in less than 15 minutes.) Longevity is surprisingly long-lasting for this type of fresh/airy fragrance.

i really liked the opening of this! sweet pepper and powder and definitely a snowy-petrichor scent. wet dirt or moss but very pleasant. immediately everything i wanted but didn't get when i tried telegrama. i don’t find it to project very much. i’m curious to see how it’ll perform in colder weather; if it can hang in the cold it’d probably give you that fresh, just-in-from-the-snow, rosy cheeked, steamy breath vibe. as it calms down you get the creamy florals too without losing much of the initial notes. again, if you sought the fresh powdery notes in telegrama and found it lacking, this one could work for you! there’s definitely an earthy dampness with it too but it’s really good.

This one gets a lot of hate for the opening; I agree it can smell like carpet cleaner, but give it a second. If you spray this properly and wait a legit 5 min, it turns into my favorite fragrance I own. I got this to remind me of an alpine meadow, and on the right day, it does just that. This smells like the gratification of a good hike on a cool sunny day. It lasts a while and I have gotten a few compliments despite not wearing a large amount of it. Imaginary Authors is a great brand for those of you looking to get into niche scents. I do warn that this one takes a little getting used to, as you probably don't want anyone to smell you for the first few minutes after spraying it.

Sometimes you spray on a scent and instantly think" I LOVE THIS, I NEED THIS, please don't vanish after half an hour because I want to smell this forever. This was such a scent for me. I would never have expected to like such a floral perfume but there's something intoxicating about this. It really does feel like standing atop somewhere high with clear and crisp air. Not somewhere desolate, a crisp Northern forest. The dry down reminded me very much of Stairway to Heaven by Jul et Mad which I've always loved ,
