This would not be something I pick up based on the notes, but the sample I received was such a surprise. On my skin it opens with a strong medicinal note, it's almost overpowering; there is a lot of amber in it. As it progresses I can feel hints of the vanilla coming through and there's a sweetness to it but it has nothing to do with something you might want to eat. I don't think I get any caramel at all. It feels balsamic in a way, strong amber and woods all the way through, and the vanilla breaks its medicinal quality just enough for it to be enjoyable. It doesn't smell feminine at all to me (which as a woman is something I really enjoy). Wouldn't purchase a full bottle, but I'm glad I could sample this.

Black Afgano??? Not for me. I mean, not right away. If I bury my nose to my wrist and close my eyes and try hard. No caramel? That is what I get most. Sample vial from the discovery set. Third one to try. Caramel, vanilla, and amber. Sandalwood bed at the end. Slight citrus in the opening. No rose for me. Over 10 hours + of longevity. Ok projection for the first couple of hours then a skin scent for the remainder. I don't get whiffs of it throughout the wear unless I make the attempt to smell my wrist. I have been wanted to try Silver Blue from Mancer because of the caramel component. It will be interesting to see how it compares to this.

Not what I expected based on the notes! It smells like heavy amber and patchouli. In the dry down I start to get more sweetness, but I would not have identified it as caramel. I also don't smell the floral notes in this. Definitely sample before buying!

Wow such a surprise,...not your typical gourmand. Very elaborated, sensual and soothing. The caramel is doesnt smelll edible. over time on the skin it gets really abstract so that i cannot distinguish between each note and clearly say its a sweet heavy gourmand. Definitely unisex and a huge recommendation!!
