Impulse Tropical Beach + Espresso

this is so good! super surprised by its quality and longevity. i picked it up at the supermarket the other day mainly because i’m a bit of an impulse buyer (excuse the pun!) not really expecting much but thought to myself ‘hey if it’s bad it only cost me £4, but if it’s good then i’ve found a hidden and inexpensive gem’, and boy did I! I’m so impressed by how expensive this smells and it’s definitely a hidden treasure. I do wonder if the notes here are truly representative of what is in the fragrance, to me i do definitely get the coffee at first but not really the coconut, there’s also a touch of floral at the beginning and then in the dry down it’s like a rich vanilla coffee scent with a fruity nuance to it. If you like black opium this is a great alternative at a stunning price point. the dry down is definitely different, lighter more fruity and less floral but the start is almost identical and then the dry down is still delicious and expensive smelling. Also my boyfriend says that sometimes black opium smells like farts which is hilarious but i suspect it’s because the white florals something read a bit indolic in black opium, so if you love the coffee and general feel of black opium but sometimes get that weird fartiness then try this cause that white floral that causes that in black opium isn’t present here. personally I’m going to stock up on this because some other people have mentioned that impulse has a tendency to discontinue even their successful fragrances so pick this up while it lasts!

I don't often wear bodysprays anymore but this has been my go to body spray for the last couple years. Very good quality for the price. A very summery scent with the coconut shining through

I recieved this by mistake, it is pleasant for a little while, it could have done with more vanilla but the alcohol scent is thick and shines through everything. I have to boldly disagree on it smelling expensive.

Tropical Beach is an excellent summer fragrance. It's softly sweet with a sparkle. I could smell caramel latte undertones. This is not Black Opium dupe, but it's from same fragrance family.
