Euphoria Sensuale

Euphoria Sensuale was launched in 2019 and is part of the authorial line of the In the Box brand, called Match of Senses. Along with it, another three perfumes hit the market at the same time: Omnia IV, Origine Un, and Fusion Énigmatique. Euphoria Sensuale is classified by the manufacturer as a bold and provocative oriental-floral. Its fragrance brings, at the start, notes of grapefruit, Sicilian lemon, and açai berries, opening the way for a bouquet of jasmine sambac, iris, rose, and apple, resting on a base with notes of musk, vanilla, tonka bean, patchouli, and cedar. This time, the red color was chosen to represent all the sensuality surrounding the fragrance. On the skin, Euphoria Sensuale explodes with a juicy combo of red berries, grapefruit, and a lot of apple content. Before long, bubbly nuances emerge and a more astringent rose scent insists on making itself noticed. But quickly, this effect gives way to the more narcotic side of jasmine, and the fruity output from minutes before is forgotten in memory. Evolution brings the sweetest side of the fragrance, and the vanilla and patchouli notes stand out. The vanilla here doesn't have an artificial aroma, but unfortunately, we have the same commercial patchouli of recent times, which has nothing to do with the smell of the ingredient itself but represents a cotton candy accord that comes from a synthetic compound known as Ethyl Maltol. And if you've already heard of this compound, then you know that it is responsible for the success of fragrances like La Vie Est Belle (Lancôme) and all the others that were inspired by it. That said, Euphoria Sensuale seems to me to be an error, albeit properly calculated. Its fragrance is extremely powerful, but it is nothing innovative, much less authorial. Being the result of a company that had already established itself in the market as a great revelation in the segment of inspired scents, I see no reason to be part of the Match of Senses line, especially at the time of its launch, when all attention was focused on the company and the competition was eagerly waiting for a slip. And here it is! Euphoria Sensuale is too commercial to represent the original and independent DNA that was promised. And as much as the product has an excellent cost-benefit ratio, this is an acceptable error only for those who have no experience, which is not the case of the In the Box brand anymore.
