Origine Un

Origine Un was launched in 2019 and is part of the authorial line of the In the Box brand, called Match of Senses. Along with it, another three perfumes hit the market at the same time: Omnia IV, Euphoria Sensuale, and Fusion Énigmatique. Origine Un is classified by the manufacturer as oriental-spicy and its fragrance has notes of lavender, Sicilian lemon, pink pepper, ginger, and pear, on top. In the body, notes of patchouli, cinnamon, cedar, cashmere, and leather were combined, while the base brings notes of tonka bean, incense, musk, amber, and tobacco. One thing few people know is that I was aware of this project from the beginning, being involved in some brainstormings with the company's founder, Fellipe Russo. And I remember, perfectly, his commitment and personal touch regarding this creation. Making sure that Origine Un would pass all the olfactory tests was a matter of honor as there were a lot of olfactory memories involved in this product. When touches the skin, the fragrance follows the classic style, with facets that go back to the oldest barbershops and their foams sold in tubes. On my skin, however, a cheaper note appears in a few seconds, spoiling the initial effect. For me, it's clear that what's leftover in lavender is missing in the rest. A bigger presence of ginger and pear would have resolved that issue. It is important to report this in this analysis because the output of a fragrance is decisive at the time of purchase. And as many are aware of this, allowing time for it to evolve is not always possible (or tolerated). But in this case, you might want to take a chance! Origine Un’s fragrance reveals a sweet cinnamon and a light touch of leather, which does not bother, nor is it too dry. But the best part takes a while to appear, which is when the base notes are more present and a sensual amber merge with the tobacco note, bringing a more elegant effect. And it is here, precisely, that several fragrances of worldwide success will populate your memory, as there is an accord that reminds you of the peculiarities existing in Le Male (Gaultier), The Dreamer (Versace), and even in Presence (Montblanc), only to list a few. Origine Un exudes well and has high durability. It is marketed as a male perfume and, truth be told, it doesn't seem very shareable to me anyway. Although it represents the black color within the synesthetic process worked on in the launch of this line, its bottle reveals a beautiful green gradient when viewed from certain angles. If it's worth the advice, don't give up right away! Origine Un takes a little more patience to be understood.
