Pastry

This could easily be my favorite gourmand to date. Without a doubt, it sits in my top five. I honestly couldn’t describe this fragrance better than the notes listed at the top. Imagine a lemon pie with a dry, crumbly crust, a rich vanilla-citrus filling, and a layer of creamy custard on top. The scent evolves beautifully. It opens very lemon-forward, almost like freshly grated lemon zest sprinkled over the pie. As it develops, the lemon softens and fades into the background, allowing the vanilla, tonka bean, and possibly some caramel to take the spotlight. At least, I definitely pick up a caramel-like sweetness. Projection is above average for sure, but what really surprised me was the longevity. Longevity isn’t usually something I care much about, but this one is worth mentioning for you that do. I could still feel this on my skin after two days! I don’t know how that’s possible, but I can’t complain. The scent remains warm, cozy, and incredibly pleasant the whole time.

Pastry fragrance to me is literally joy and sunshine captured in a bottle- an exquisite blend of elegance and indulgence that radiates warmth and sophistication. It really feels like a tender embrace, a loving presence, a moment of pure comfort wrapped in luxury. If you want to feel irresistible, I can’t recommend this enough!

Lemon is really at the forefront here. It is very fresh and juicy, similar to the scent of limoncello or the aroma in pastry preparations, along with a ton of vanilla. Its sweetness emerges gradually, but right from the first notes, you can perceive the sugary caramel, which reminds you of sweets. What makes this fragrance unique is the way it evolves over time, until it materializes into the realistic smell of a freshly baked lemon pastry, with a vanilla so distinct it's as if you have just entered a pastry shop. This combination captures the senses and immediately puts you in a good mood. On my skin, the fragrance becomes a skin scent only after about six hours, demonstrating good longevity, especially during the colder months rather than summer. Even at this stage, it leaves a pleasant hint of biscuit and vanilla, which already emerged in the heart notes, making the dry-down truly comforting and reassuring. "Pastry" is a real gem for those who love gourmand perfumes, able to evoke nostalgic and carefree moments spent with a delicious lemon dessert.

I bought this perfume from an exibition. Was love at first sight. I had smelled so many perfumes that day, and that exhibitor was at the last part of my tour. So happy I did not pass. Perfume smells lemon, fresh sweet smooth (!) and butter pastry. I know it sounds very gourmand but trust me it is not as much. If you want to have something 3 times more elevated and elegant than DG devotion, then Pastry is your perfume. Congratulated several times the perfumer. Most of his perfumes were amazing and had a point of view, bold and elegant. I recommend.
