Hightech Mercenaries

It's my first impression, i might update or rewrite the review later! Got as a blind buy because if it's funny lore & complicated notes. I'm fan of everything industrial, technical, asphalt-like, bitter and plasticy, that's why this was supposed to be a good match for me. Cloves/cardamom are also a huge yes. Out of the three in the series, this one seemed to be "the quirkiest". Unfortunately, it's quite a normies scent? Starts with toilet freshener lemon, and fades into the boring vanilla after an hour. And I can't stand vanilla 😭 If i only knew it in advance! It comes in a sealed plastic bed, with a velvet bag and two samples of the other perfumes of the series. AND THE BAG SMELLS AMAZING. I don't know if it's from this perfume, or the samples, the glue and plastic, or maybe the atmospheric where they packed it, but now I WISH to find something similar in this scent. I'm going to try to befriend it, because there's clearly potential.

Picked up a travel bottle after going through the makers recommendations when asking for something a bit funky and unique. What I remember liking about it was it's apparent animalistic opening and it's warm, smoothy spicy body, while still maintaining a certain brightness. I've worn it a few times and unlike most of my reviews this is not a blind testing, but I have no recollection about the notes. Looking now, you would expect a punch in the face of minerals and asphalt, but everything is quite subtle. Except for a slight tinny note at the top there is not a lot of any sense of the metallic notes. The metal is more akin to very soft aromatic than metal. The smoke and asphalt are not there at all. What you get (after what comes off as a fairly mild animalistic opening) is a fairly toned down piece of aluminum floating in water. Or, walking through an aluminum scrap yard after it rains, but where the warm sun hitting the wet soil is more pronounced than the metal. The clove makes a more aromatic feeling than anything clove like. Something is there but you don't get a clear sense of clove. There's simply just nothing merciful nor high-tech here. Maybe the clove and the metal took each other out, and the smoke and asphalt found the whole killing things a bit of a bore. This makes the relationship between the notes and the result feel way off. So to in projection, staying fairly intimate as a skin scent, but lasting quite well. Overall, it's okay. While a clear escape between the notes and experience, the scent as it is has a bright foil tippy top and warm middle, without much depth. There's a certain pleasantness here that feels divorced from it's name and notes.

I was really happy about going to perfume store and tiring this. However the experience is quite underwhelming. Clove is only note I got here from the list, additionally some red fruits. Over all this just smell like raspberry cough syrup with something creamy to it. Nothing futuristic. It fades away after 2h.
