Tihota

As a vanilla addict on the hunt for the "holy grail of vanillas", this is it. If you are reading this: You have found her! This might seem silly but even after having owned and smelled almost all of the most critically acclaimed vanilla fragrances (Vanilla 28, Gentle Fluidity Gold, Orchidee Vanille, Sucre Noir, Vaniglia, Dama Bianca, Lune Feline, Absolute Aphrodisiac, Sultan, Naxos, A Whiff of Wafflecone, Herod, Roses Vanille, Dark Vanilla, Royal Vanilla, Arabians Tonka, Ani, Nuit Et Confidences, Eau Duelle EDP & EDT, Mon Guerlain, Noir Exquis, Shalimar Souffle de Parfum, Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere, By the Fireplace, Whispers in the Library, Shalimar Cologne, Tobacco Vanille, etc etc) when I smelled EOS Vanilla Cashmere shea butter lotion I was like THIS IS THE BEST VANILLA I MUST HAVE THIS IN A PERFUME. Lol. None of the perfumes I've listed scratched that vanilla itch for me (although Kayali Vanilla 28 came the closest) but that dang EOS Vanilla Cashmere lotion did. So I set out on a mission to find an EDP that smells exactly like that lotion. My first discovery was that Bath and Body Works Vanilla Bean Noel smells identical to the EOS Vanilla Cashmere shea butter lotion. I was thrilled! The only problem was that upon the initial spray it had a mixture of super strong alcohol smells and a weird kind of spoiled milk smell (I got an older bottle off of ebay) but as soon as it settled it was perfect! My perfect vanilla! EOS Vanilla Cashmere in a bottle! Then, reality hit. 10 minutes after spraying Vanilla Bean Noel it was almost completely gone. It didn't even have a dry down! 20 minutes after the initial spray it completely disappeared. Womp womp. So I set out to find a parfum that smells identical but stronger with longevity. I had been eyeballing Tihota for like a year but after seeing reviews here say that it smelled like Vanilla Bean Noel I was like SCORE so as soon as Luckyscent restocked I sold three of my fragrances to get this one lol. Let me tell ya'll. It does not disappoint. It is like a super high quality perfect version of the smell I've been searching for! It's everything I've ever wanted in a perfume!! I can finally smell like a walking, talking human vanilla cake. I'm in heaven. Now I can literally bathe in this smell because I have the Vanilla Bean Noel body wash, the EOS Vanilla Cashmere lotion, and the VBN body spray for my clothes (it actually lasts days on clothing!). I feel like I've hit a crescendo in my fragrance fandom journey. 🥲 What do I even do now? At least I'll smell amazing in my "existscentual" crisis. Edit: This just keeps getting better. Wow. On a side note I've been able to also sample both Mazzolari Vaniglia and Arte Profumi Sucre Noir and they are nothing like Tihota. Don't believe the people saying they're similar; they're not. They don't hold a candle to the Queen. Much lighter, much different - not pure vanilla like Tihota. The Mazzolari Vaniglia smells almost identical to Van Cleef & Arpels Orchidee Vanille upon first spritz, and as it settles it smells of a sweet vanilla-flavored cotton candy. If you can imagine Orchidee Vanille without the chocolate note, with a spun sugar note instead? That's Mazzolari Vaniglia in a nutshell. It's very pleasant but nowhere near Tihota-level. The opening of Arte Profumi Sucre Noir initially smells almost identical to Kayali Vanilla 28 to my nose. The only difference I can detect is that it has less depth. If Vanilla 28 is Coca-Cola, then Sucre Noir is Diet Coke. That's not an insult, I prefer Diet Coke, lol. I actually like that Sucre Noir has such a similar vanilla orchid at it's base without the complexity of the Kayali. It's simple and sweet; it doesn't try to be more than a simple vanilla. In the dry downs Vaniglia and Sucre Noir start to smell very similar to one another. Their openings are very different but in their dry downs they become twin sisters with only minor discernible differences. As comparable as they are to each other, they are not at all similar to Tihota. So make sure you sample first and don't buy them assuming they're similar enough to scratch that vanilla holy grail itch while also saving you money. Vanilla Bean Noel is infinitely closer to Tihota, ironically; and you can snag it for about $15 on ebay. Edit #2: I just had the pleasure of sampling Jovoy's Fire At Will and OH. OH my HEART. It's almost a perfect clone of Tihota! Another reviewer put it best by saying that if Tihota smells like a vanilla made with white sugar, then Fire At Will smells like the same vanilla made with brown sugar instead! The mimosa adds a hint of honeyed floral to it which is subtle but gorgeous. This is the closest fragrance I've found to being able to compete with Tihota, and I'd say she's a really close runner-up (although upon further use I have to say that Tihota has better longevity). They're *super similar* but ever-so-slightly different enough that sadly I am also now completely obsessed with buying a full bottle of Fire At Will 🥲 Rest in pieces, my poor bank account. Yet another edit: You guys, Nemat's Vanilla Musk fragrance oil smells identical to Tihota. Probably even closer than Vanilla Bean Noel. If VBN is 99.5% similar to Tihota then Vanilla Musk is 99.9% similar! The only problem is the Nemat lacks sillage and potency. If barely projects past arm's length. You will still love the little scent cloud it envelopes you within, though! I also found something marvelous: when you use the Vanilla Musk oil first and then layer the Tihota over it, the oil extends the longevity of the Tihota by at least two hours! For me the oil only lasts 2-3 hours by itself and Tihota lasts a moderate 3-4, but when I layer them by applying the oil first and then spraying Tihota over it, I get a good 6 hours with slightly better projection than Tihota has by itself! I've been addicted to the combination! Anyhoo. I ordered Cocoapink's Tihota dupe so I will be reporting back to ya'll on that shortly. I would BATHE in Tihota if I could but it's sooo hecking expensive that I'm scouring ye olde interwebs for something that smells identical and forces everyone to smell me across the room. 👀 Final edit (I promise lol) on 01/01/2023: Cocoapink's "smell me across the room"-strength Tihota dupe is the best Tihota dupe on the market. 99.9% similiar in smell. I revisited Nemat Vanilla Musk after about a year and it no longer smells 99.9% similar to me, more like 95% similar now - I think my nose changed because now it smells kind of cheap. 😬 But Cocoapink's Tihota is by far the closest thing to identical to my nose; both last spring when I initially got it and again now after all this time has passed. The problem: the ingredients don't agree with my skin. I literally got chemical BURNS on my skin from only using it a few times. So now it's my "Tihota" fabric spray and the Queen remains the only one that gets to make contact with my skin. I have since "graduated" from being into gourmands and completely vanilla-obsessed to being all about the clean white musks and ambroxan bombs, so coming back to this review I can objectively still say my search for the Holy Grail of Vanilla Fragrances concluded with Tihota. She is Queen, period. I'm wearing her today for the first time in almost a year and enjoying every second. If you love vanilla, save up and start scouring the fb fragcomm groups to find someone who's selling a bottle. She's worth it.

To me Tihota represesents the equivalent in the vanilla family to a fresh (not indolic or more mysterious) Jasmin soliflower perfume. It is a sweet vanilla scent for the vanilla connaisseur who wants all the different forms of vanilla scents in their collection. Or who are searching for the purest form of sweet and refined vanilla. Because that is what Tihota is. A warm, almost butter-caramelised sweet vanilla belonging in the kitchen of an exclusive boulangerie. It is soft and refined and creamy. And not to sweet, and not too little sweet either, but “Lagom”, as in just the right amount of sweetness. To bring out the gourmand aspect of the vanilla pod. But without going into an area of synthetic vanilla extract or ambery undertones. To creat that is hard. I mean we all have a relationship to vanilla scents coming from the kitchen. And most vanilla extracts are quite sharp and unpleasent to stick your nose into. Or too sweet like vanilla sugar. But we all love the scent of vanilla from a pastry or a cake just coming out of the oven. That is the feel that Tihota awakens. It is therefore perhaps not the most exiting or mysterious vanilla perfume. Just as a sweet fresh dewy jasmin fragrance doesn’t remind much of its indolic and sexy night time full on carnal jasmine perfume sister. But as far as capturing the true most naturalistic refined vanilla - then this is about as good as it gets. If you however are looking for the whole herbal, earthy, vanilla pod experience - then this is not it. But if you are looking for something less synthetic or less in your face sweet or are tired of vanilla paired with burnt sugary amber accords. Then this is a gem. Especially since it also manages to balance on the right side of butteriness that often can be part of the experience. This is also void of any woody or ambery aspects whatsoever. And the musk is just warm and there to make the composition more smooth. Compared to other now popular vanilla scents this is somewhat similar to Fire at will from Jovoy. But Tihota is more refined, and less buttery. It is also much less buttery sugary than Bianco Latte (Giardini di Toscana). Comparing it to Jeroboams Insulo which is a much more ambery, burns sugar and darker vanilla scent the contrasts are sharp. The smoothness of Tihota almost makes Insulo seem harsh and synthetic leaning. Even though it is not. For people who are looking more for a sweet super gourmand vanilla, belonging in the ice cream parlour or the candy store. Or if you are looking for strong projecting vanilla scents. Then this will probably feel underwhelming. Instead this is for the vanilla connaisseur. The one looking for sweet vanilla done just right and where smoothness and warmth are what you look for. It is not a super projecting fragrance. It is a delicious skin scent for the people you want to draw close to you. Or the perfect mixing medium when you want to add some vanilla to another fragrance. It is totally unisex. Having said that there are more masculine leaning vanilla fragrances out there. (Insulo is a good example of another unisex vanilla scent leaning more masculine. And if you look at it from a femininity perspective you probably can’t get much closer than Tihota on a fictitious scale.

This is my final answer. This is all I needed. If I were to choose one perfume to use for the rest of my life, this is THE ONE. I don't even know where to begin... The note itself is quite simple, like some of the other comments mentioned, BUT the quality of the vanilla and the experience of how smooth and delightful it feels to my nose...is what I couldn't find in other perfumes. This simplicity, paired with such high quality, this luxurious yet cozy experience, makes me want to wear it even during summer. When I’m tired, I spray this. When I want to feel relaxed before bed, spray. When I need motivation, my hands automatically reach for it. Even though this is a vanilla scent, my nose never gets tired of it. There’s nothing that "ichs" or overwhelms your senses. It melts into my skin so naturally and just feels incredibly smooth. It feels very “me.” The vanilla smells rich, dark, and deep, like opening a bottle of real vanilla extract while baking in the kitchen (no sharpness). But there’s also this airy, light quality to it that makes the whole scent feel almost transparent. It is not the watery or marine kind of transparency, but more like a softness that makes you want to breathe it in deeply. It lifts the richness and makes it feel fluffy and elegant. When I wear this, it feels like I’m wrapped in my favorite cozy blanket, while the scent of vanilla from the kitchen fills the air. I also love layering it with other perfumes (I recently tried with Vietnamese Coffee from d’Annam!) to make the scent creamier or add just a touch of extra sweetness without making it cloying or interfering with other perfumes. This is my go-to. We are committed. I am basically married to this perfume!!

I sampled this and immediately knew I had to add it to my collection! It was the most delicious, realistic, straightforward vanilla fragrance I've smelled to date. It starts off smelling like the highest quality vanilla extract you can find, but gets more creamy, fluffy, and airy as it settles (almost marshmallowy imo). It's sweet but not toothachingly so, which I think is due to the musk. While it's not the most unique fragrance, it's my fave in terms of scent and quality of the scents I find it somewhat similar to (which are Nemat Vanilla Musk (less sweet and more musky), Delizia di Marshmallow (a bit synthetic and more "toasted"), Outremer Vanilla (more sugary and synthetic), and Solinotes Vanille (more sugary in a burnt sugar kinda way and synthetic)). My sample had amazing performance in terms of both projection and longevity (4 sprays and I could smell it wafting around me for hoursss). However, I did end up purchasing a full sized bottle and the scent isn't the rich, deep, delicious vanilla I got from the sample. I get about 4 hours of longevity, and projection is more close to skin, and this is with heavily overspraying. I did notice that the juice isn't as dark as the juice was in my sample, which leads me to believe that it needs some time to mature so I am going to allow it to sit and do just that for a bit in hopes of it becoming the deliciously amazing scent I experienced with my sample.

Mmmm, this one is POSITIVELY DELICIOUS! Fit for any vanilla fanatic. It's simple, but done well! There are two notes listed, vanilla & musk - and that's what you get: A rather musky vanilla (bean). The vanilla is less sweet, and more on the deep side - rich and gorgeous, leaning almost towards a caramel feel. It has a dry, chewy texture to it, so there is no toothache encounter here! Sometimes I feel like there's almost a slight nuttiness to this scent. Important note here on the projection & longevity of this scent - PHENOMENAL / NUCLEAR. This is one of those scents where people will smell you when you enter the room - In a good way. It turns your life into a cheesy musical, but instead of people popping out of sewer drains and corner stores to sing dorky lyrics with you, they're sniffing the air and wondering what smells like cookies. For 12+ hours. Is this worth 200 bucks for a 50ml bottle? Yes. If you've got the money, you won't be disappointed as a solid go-to, cozy fragrance. I was not surprised that Francis Kurkdjian was the nose behind this one - it's his signature of simple, outstanding luxury. I made the FB investment, and I haven't looked back since! No regrets to be had; I could sing the praises for this scent until the end of time! Next to my signature, it is easily my favorite fragrance. The amount of compliments you will draw wearing this... is astonishing.

i love this perfume so much!!!! i’m a huge fan of delizia di marshmallow by kyse but because of where i live, it is SO hard to get a hold of it. this is honestly quite similar just less powdery, and focuses more on the vanilla than any possible marshmallow notes. (weirdly enough, i do get a slightly marshmallowy smell from this, but it’s not listed on the notes!) genuinely one of the most perfect vanillas! she’s amazing on her own, she’s perfect for layering. the price kills me, but no sadly this is so worth it because i’ve never found a vanilla that vanillas the way this perfume does. the longevity? INSANE. put this on in the morning, came home and it was still strong. woke up the next day? still smelt her on my wrist, but she was def very close to the skin. the projection is good, not amazing, but good! she’s perfect for literally any occasion too!! this is what i want my natural skin to smell like, but until some crazy insane scientist invents some permanent perfume-skin-tattoo sort of thing—i’ll be wearing this non stop

I had my husband and daughter smell this on paper with me when it first got here, and none of us could smell it! Thankfully I came back to it and could smell it the next go-round. It is an exquisite, pure vanilla. I could not stop smelling my wrist. It is Vaniglia's (Mazzorali) beautiful, more refined older sister. It goes less cotton candy and more straight up elegant vanilla bean with a very distant floral in the background. I wore it this morning for the second time and my small child remains anosmic. My husband says I smell like a man! Now I know, some musks along with sandalwood are offenders for this masculine reading. I was surprised because I don't find the musk to be prominent in the slightest. Lastly, I find it hard to believe this can be compared to anything from BBW. Yes it is simple, but it's pure and the longevity is great. If vanilla bean extract could effectively be worn as a perfume, the search for the perfect vanilla wouldn't be a thing. I actually am looking for wearable vanilla extract.

It's just expertly done. It smells like pure vanilla, of course, but if you've sprayed and used tons of vanilla-scented scents (from expertly blended niche fragrances to nice designer to mass-produced body care) as i have, this one just stands out. the first time i sprayed my 2ml tester, i thought "okay... it's nice. i'd never spend the money on it." and then i kept reaching for it and realized it is one of one and THE best layering scent, too. i don't recommend buying perfumes just for layering purposes, and this one stands on its own (as i want most of the perfumes in my collection to) but every so often i'll layer this with another scent and OMG. because it isn't synthetic smelling, and because it isn't overpowering, and because it isn't overly creamy or sweet or musky etc., it really does just give other scents this pure elevated hint of sweetness that is just one of one.

I was ready for buying this until I read the reviewers comment below. I have to agree, this does smell like “what the fluff”. As vanillas go, I do feel this is one of the best vanillas out there. This isn’t as sickly as “Fire at will” or “Vanilla W.Indies” m, both of which I came to dislike and decluttered. The only other vanilla I enjoy is “Giosa”, but I do get similarities to “Bianco Latte” which puts me off it. Other vanillas seem to have a harshness to them (Mazzaolri, Bianco Latte, Escapade Gourmand). I would pick Tihota over any other vanilla personally, if I didn’t already have WTF. I don’t feel t’s worth owning otherwise. They are quite hard to tell apart to my nose, and this just isn’t as good value for money. As beautiful as this is, I guess I’m passing on this one as it feels redundant in my collection.

Love this vanilla!!! This is the best vanilla ever and beats out many others.. fire at will being my other fav for other reason. She is sweet and marshmallow but still very much the vanilla extract in the marshmallow.. vs fire at will being the sugar sweeet of the marshmallow.. yet both have those qualities. Tihota does have a slight smoke (but not like deliza) and can randomly just disappear.. but I think it depends on the bottle? Cause my first bottle I could hardly smell it.. and my second bottle smells like sweet marshmallows.. and is very full bodied and rich. I appreciate that this vanilla is not “clean/soapy” “bitter” or “sour” all of which I smell in other scents. She is warm, she is extract, she is sweet but not a birthday cake vanilla.. She’s like marshmallow in the most natural way.

It's just vanilla! But it's really nice. I really liked that this doesn't devolve into a cloying ethyl maltol mess like Vaniglia and Vanille West Indies did on me. I get just a hint of that smoky candlewick smell I get with vanillas like this, but it mellows out quickly and just sits at a nice, linear, and sweet vanilla. It lasted perfectly fine for me. Interestingly, I tested a lot of marshmallow solinote type scents recently and my partner assumed this was one of those. I agree, it has an airy and powdery quality to the vanilla that gives it a very similar vibe. Ultimately, this was less smoky than all of the popular marshmallows, and it is definitely the one I'll keep over trying more of those. I nabbed this 40% off, I'm not sure I'd be able to justify a FS at the full retail price.

I honestly don't understand how people can compare this to Serge Luten's Un Bois Vanille, Vaniglia del Madagascar and Montale's Vanille Absolu. I own all of these amazing fragrances and Tihota doesn't get any closer to any of them. Tihota is something different, precious. It's like heaven in a bottle. It's an expensive combination of the most precious vanilla and musk and you only need two sprays cause it lasts and lasts. I agree on its similarity with Victoria's Secret's Vanilla Lace beeing Vanilla Lace the cheaper and more synthetic / alcoholic version of Tihota. I layer my Tihota with Vanilla Lace Body Lotion. Beeing a vanilla fanatic I can honestly confirm this is the best Vanilla on the planet. It smells like nothing else. I am so glad I finally found my perfect Vanilla.

This is it! This perfume is amazing. Perfect vanilla - vanilla ice cream, vanilla bean- all of it. It’s not too smoky, or spicy; it’s not too artificial. It’s exactly what I’ve been looking for and the reviews did not disappoint. If you like pure vanilla scents, this one’s for you. I love it! I sprayed this on my wrist and it lasted until I went to shower. It’s sweet but not intoxicating. It’s airy, it’s light, but it’s also strong in the sense that you get the strictly vanilla scents right away and it smells incredible. I just wish it were cheaper lol. This isn’t like bianco latte, it’s not exactly like delizia di marshmallow either; it’s pure vanilla, sweet, creamy, vanilla bean. It isn’t milk heavy either, nor is it woody. 9/10 | -1 bc of the price point

This is my baby. The queen of my collection. My forever favorite. My bottle has aged about 3 years or a little more now and the juice is a deep, burnt caramel color. The scent is warm, syrupy, almost buttery vanilla. This smells like the rich texture of splitting open a vanilla bean, scraping out the seeds, and rubbing the paste between your fingers. A sugary musk dances cloud-like over everything, adding another layer that just emphasizes the deep, syrupy facets. At the moment the rest of the vanillas in my collection are almost all of the powdered sugar, marshmallow variety. But this is fluffy without going fully marshmallow. Think more like the sugary musk as a thick fog, floating over a warm, homemade vanilla bean syrup river. 10/10 I love her. 🧁☁️🍦☁️🍨

If you're searching for the perfect straight-vanilla fragrance, Tihota might be it. This is the most photorealistic vanilla bean ice cream scent I've encountered. It's smooth, creamy, sugary, and delicious. While some use its simplicity as a point of criticism, I find that this is what makes it so special. Rather than layering vanilla beneath woods, spices, or florals, Tihota lets the note shine on its own, and the result is stunning. The vanilla feels natural, without any synthetic or artificial sweetness distracting from the experience. Those who compare it to vanilla extract are absolutely on the money. In my opinion, it's proof that a fragrance doesn't need to be complex to be exceptional. For vanilla enthusiasts, Tihota is an absolute must-try.

Love it. Vanilla-rich (90%) with a hint of smoky woodiness (10%) - someone in the comments below has said palo santo which I think is a good call, or it could be interpreted as simply being the natural 'smokiness' of a vanilla pod. It is truly a unisex fragrance. There may not be a lot going on in terms of layers and layers of notes, but that doesn't mean it's boring or basic. It's a scent that screams quality (well, it doesn't scream, it's too classy for that). For me, the important thing is not what a fragrance costs (whether that's expensive or cheap, though I admit my wallet prefers cheap), it's about how I feel when wearing it, and whether I like being surrounded by that smell for a long period of time... and I love wearing this.

i NEED this. i tried it at scentbar and hated how much it appealed to me, given the price point. this is vanilla in its purest, dreamiest form. cheaper alternatives smell of vanilla Perfume, not of vanilla itself. there’s no alcohol here, no amber. no florals or powder. i don’t think i’ve smelled a more wearable sweet scent in my life. simple doesn’t mean unremarkable. simplicity can be good. i’m tired of trying to smell like the most interesting, complicated person in the room. there is an effortless beauty conveyed by this perfume’s bare-faced purity that i really just crave at this point in my life. classy, clean, divine. maybe not a gorgeous, bold scent, but it’s arrestingly pretty. this is the only vanilla in the world to me.

Perfect straightforward vanilla scent and palpably high quality. It smells so good it's the only perfume to make me sigh with enjoyment when I smell it. Grounded with other notes but the vanilla is still allowed to be the star. It does not have a "perfumey" overtone to it, it just smells pure and natural almost. I'm not usually a big vanilla fan as it can be too sweet, or it can remind me of cheap gourmands I've disliked in the past, but this is an exception, I love it. It's delicious and comforting, like cookie dough, yet still feels fairly sophisticated in my opinion. #1 gourmand perfume for me perhaps. Is it overpriced? Of course. But if you try it, you may not be able to enjoy inferior vanilla frags to the same extent again.

FULL BOTTLE WORTHY!!! I love all things vanilla but there is a fine line where they go from perfection to rank-stank and synthetic. I have blind bought enough to now be very wary. This right here is perfection. Smells so real. It is like an expensive bottle of cooking vanilla, not the cheap McCormicks stuff. No this is the expensive stuff you get from Mexico but in a beautiful fragrance. If you know, you know. It is gorgeous alone and Im sure will be amazing with anything layered. I have already bought a full bottle. I honestly never considered buying a back up bottle of anything. I thought people were silly who bought "back up bottles". Look who is now the sill silly goose.

I don't understand why there are only two notes listed on Fragrantica? I definitely smell something sugary and smoky! The notes on the website of indult include the following: Highest grade Tahitian vanilla, cane sugar, almond milk accord, Tonka bean, white musk, amber. I think this is a lovely musky vanilla :) It wasn't a love at first spray, but after testing over and over again trying to grasp how it could possibly only contain vanilla and musk (as I clearly smelled something smoky and sugary) I fell in love with Tihota. I think it's the Tonka bean and amber forming this smoky aspect, my nose detected the cane sugar as well, and the musk is very present!

Beautiful fragrance for your classic vanilla lovers. So easy and versatile to layer with other scents and profiles. Silage is moderate but the fragrance lasts quite a while on my thirsty skin. Very likeable fragrance for everyone and perfect for office or casual occasions alike. Delicious and timeless. Relatively simple but quite perfect natural, photorealistic vanilla. Not overly sweet or cloying, it leaves a nice scent trail and is a regular compliment getter. Truly the best vanilla scent out there. The price is crazy, yes, but to me it is worth it. I saved a couple paychecks where I could to drop for the full bottle. It lasts all day and I like that’s it’s a beautiful scent that radiates and melts into the skin. It’s not beast mode (I hate that term) but it doesn’t need to be. It’s versatile for layering and all year as it’s just vanilla and not TOO sweet. The dry down is where it shines, it’s edible but not sickly, it’s musky but not in a dirty way. It melts into the skin and lasts all day for me. Truly I will be repurchasing it as it is the most beautiful perfume I’ve ever smelled and can’t get enough of it

Imagine the highest quality vanilla bean paste one could get. Now imagine mixing it into a warm drink with some spices. A dollop of whipped cream on top (really just a small dollop!) Tihota has a lot of warmth to it and maybe it's my skin chemistry, but I detect a hint of spice/smokiness. The smokiness smells like it's coming from a wood - it is sauna-like. Again, very very tiny amount. I just don't ever hear other people talking about it. This vanilla has much more depth than people say. It's still as edible as they say. Because of it's warmth, I think Tihota would shine in the fall and winter. I think it may be too warm for the heat of the summer.

I’ve tried hundreds of fragrances, including many vanillas, and this is the best one. I resisted buying a full bottle for many years due to what seemed like an excessive price for something so “simple” but I caved and have no regrets. It’s truly the best if you want an elegant, naturalistic vanilla that emanates all day. On my skin, there’s also a slightly smoky tone that I love and find so comforting. I didn’t detect the almond milk note until smelling many other vanillas that lack it, and that’s also part of what makes tihota so special. I also agree that it layers very easily, particularly with vetiver fragrances. A masterpiece.

A vanilla spun-sugar dream, one of the best vanillas on the market currently. As a vanilla lover, this is the vanilla bean ice cream scent that I had been searching high and low for. The almond milk in the base makes this incredibly unique to me, creating a light lactonic quality. Yes, it is "basic," but I believe a well-blended, high-quality vanilla of this archetype is relatively hard to find. It is pretty long-lasting, but unfortunately does not project much on me at all. I am surprised that many people say this fills a room because I find it sits pretty intimately on the skin.

I found it, the perfect vanilla perfume! This will become my signature scent. It’s so soft and tender, but yet it gives me a full day of wear with a pleasant clean and warm sillage. I get no smokiness or sour tones as I see some people say. I get a cozy and soft vanilla with a some hints of chocolate and red berries (though faint). At first spray it reminds me of Delizia di marshmallow with that very strong vanilla powder sugar opening. This faints quickly and it reminds me of Eilish by Billie Eilish. I would say that it may as well has been these two perfumes love child!

I absolutely adore this. It HOWEVER is not pure vanilla bean pod. When most people describe this as a pure true vanilla I laugh, because as someone who grew up around vanilla planifolia vines, I know the smell extremely well. It is very vanilla heavy but it is more like the most amazing, rich, decadent Vanilla Custard (think creme brulee or ice cream) you could ever smell but with musk. It is creamy and sweet. It lasts forever. Projection is flat but you will get whiffs here and there. Absolutely glorious. This is my second favorite vanilla fragrance of all time.

Growing up my mom would slather on vanilla, amongst other iconic scents, and so naturally vanilla would eb one of the first fragrances I started wearing as a kid/preteen. Theres so many levels to vanilla, and this one to put it simply is a sophisticated pure version of vanilla that I used to wear in my girlhood. It melts into my skin and natural oils, it feels like a part of me. Wearing it now makes me feel grown, sensual, and warm. Vanilla is only basic if you allow it to be basic, remember that! It has become my signature scent!

This is the mother of all vanillas to me. As soon as I sniffed this, my eyes literally rolled to the back of my head. If you love pure, untouched, no frills vanilla, this is 100% for you. It lasts so long and you can layer it really easily. It projects well without being overpowering and is perfect for vanilla lovers who don't like overly sweet scents. I absolutely need the full bottle and if it smells like this without even macerating it, I couldn’t even imagine how decadent the bottle would smell after a year or so.

I absolutely love this perfume -- it has become a staple for me and is such a warm, enveloping, gorgeous vanilla. This perfume in and of itself is not a very complex fragrance, it is very much vanilla forward. However, for that reason, it works extremely well for layering. I find it works well when layered with either/both green scents and woody/smoky scents, and can be very versatile across seasons for this reason. This is the perfume I turn to the most often, all year round.

A slightly weaker Escapade Gourmande, imo. It's truly lovely, if you don't already have another classic vanilla in your collection. If you have any in the "reminds me of" section, you're probably all set. The presentation of this is underwhelming and shitty. It's Revlon in the 80s style packaging. $220+ for a dollar store bottle is a joke and the atomizer on this is terrible. I love the smell of it. I paid for it. I'll wear it. But I will absolutely never buy it again.

Just absolutely amazing. I've been looking for ages for a perfume that just smells like vanilla on vanilla, and this is it. It smells a bit sweet,like other reviewers mentioned vanilla sugar, and I definitely get that sense of it as well, but in a really great way. I know some people say it's basic/one-note, but I'll be honest, the simplicity is one of its strengths. Just a fantastic fragrance that I'm fairly certain I could easily wear every day and not tire of it.

Soft, sweet vanilla. A little less saccharine than Maison Mataha’s Escapade Gourmande and less smoky than Jovoy’s Fire at Will. More of a powdery sweet than a syrupy sweet (think powdered sugar). I think, for a vanilla, it’s wearable year round because of this powder quality. It’s really lovely and would be perfect for layering. However, as a straightforward vanilla, this is too expensive unless you’ve already fallen down the rabbit hole when it comes to fragrances.

I can’t stop reaching for this perfume, I’m obsessed! It’s the sweetest, yummiest sugary vanilla that just wraps you in warmth. The bottle is sleek, and the longevity really surprised me... I get about 6 hours, which is amazing because fragrances usually fade fast on me. It’s beautiful on its own, but also such a star layering scent. Paired with Delizia de Marshmallow by Kyse, it turns into the most dreamy gourmand cloud. I seriously can’t get enough!

I love this. This is a powerful, sweet, authentic, brown sugar-y vanilla. The amber accord complements and enhances the distinctive gourmand into a transcendent richness. With that being said, I cannot in good mind recommend anyone to buy this over Fire At Will. It smells **extremely** similar with a slight edge over in freshness while also giving you DOUBLE the amount of fragrance for the same price. This is still well done and beautiful though.

People keep saying there is sooo maaany other cheaper alternatives to this. Girl, where?? I tried them all (well I tried a lot of them) and nothing comes close to this! Tell us the names of the better more affordable ones, we beg you, but don't waste our time and money. The only one that smells like Tihota is Fire at Will by Jovoy, but that one is floral and waxy from the mimosa, so nope, try again.

Also this does not smell like Nemat in my opinion. I have both frags.. along with the Nemat oil and purfume. That to me smells cleaner.. the musk is super sharp (especially in the perfume). Nemat id wear if I wanted a dryer/ sugarless scent or a I just came out the shower vibe.. Tihota is sweeter, sugary, and warmer and I’d wear if I wanted someone to be enticed by me lol. Like Tihota is a date..

Tihota is the perfect sweet vanilla marshmallow fragrance. I’ve tried Kilian’s LDBS, Kayali’s YBM, Ellis Brooklyn’s Marshmallows, Aspiring Aroma’s What the Fluff, and all of the countless other marshmallow scents. They all wish they were half as good as Tihota. Yes it’s pricey, but it’s the best in the category imo. If you want a less expensive alternative, my top pick is Vanille by Outremer.

This is lovely and just 100% straight up vanilla extract. There's nothing creamy or cakey about it — just straight vanilla from the jar. Outremer's Vanille is very similar, so I would try that first to see if you like it. Outremer has a bit of a crystallized sugar note that's not present in Tihota - but the vanilla note smells the same to me (thought Tihota has much better longevity).

A linear vanilla that has a slight sugary undertone. It reminds me of VS Bare Vanilla but higher in quality. It has good projection and longevity but I wouldn’t call it beast mode personally which is a plus for me. It’s not anything complex or loud but if you love vanilla then I think it’s a really lovely one to add to your collection. I feel super pretty when wearing this!

This is one of the best vanilla fragrances of all time. It smells exactly like the vanilla extract you bake with, rich, yummy, and comforting, without being cloying. Creamy almond and warm tonka bean notes add to its softness, while the base of amber gives it depth and longevity. It is a pure vanilla that feels cozy and edible without any artificial sweetness.

The best vanilla I have tried yet. Really delicious and pleasant. It's simple - Vanilla - but if that's what you are searching for then here it is. A good alternative to this would be Fire at Will, its opening smells just like Tihota. Fire at Will changes as time goes by to a more floral and powdery scent, whilst Tihota sticks to the sweet vanilla.

This is a beautiful, pure, sweetened, cozy, huggable, cookie-like vanilla. However... This is also $220. I'm really not sure why anyone would shell out cash like that when Nemat's Vanilla Musk is *right there*. It's nearly identical, especially the oil. But... if you're rolling in cash, by all means. Tihota won't disappoint either way.

I get compliments saying I smell like a delicious walking scoop of vanilla ice cream when I wear this on my skin and I'm not mad about it! 😁 It smells like the most delicious vanilla extract with musk, tonka and a slightly smokey, almondy touch to my nose though. Not as almond forward as escapade gourmand on my skin.

Sweet warm vanilla. I initially wasn't in love with this scent and did not really understand the hype (especially considering the price). However, after several wears, I've simply become addicted to this scent. It is a true, unadulterated vanilla, but it is also rich and syrupy. I love layering with this as well.

Is this the perfect (linear) vanilla? Probably. Can you use it to smooth our or enhance other perfumes that need to be vanilla'd into submission? Probably. Can you afford it when you can get something else for much cheaper, with better longevity? Probably not. (If you can afford it, you should get it though.)

I love it! It is a pure, natural vanilla that is perfect for layering with other scents. I have layered it with Santal 33 and A la Rose separately, both combinations making something interesting to my nose. I just don't think it is good for hot weather though.

all you could ever need in a vanilla. im entirely unconvinced by most but tihota is perfect. just pure vanilla extract, like you’re mixing up the ingredients for a cake. airy, pretty, soft. also smells crazy good mixed with cigarette smoke
