Encore Une Fois

I picked this up on my Paris layover for work. Gorgeous top tier vanilla for me and undoubtedly a French fragrance. It is floral like the actual vanilla orchid flower, powdery and a tad spicy in the opening. The mid I get almost a soapy vanilla but it doesn't last long. In the dry down Its STUNNING! Ambery vanilla with slight booziness. Perhaps bourbon or rum, but the boozy note is not overpowering or heavy at all. It's an uplifting scent to me. Overall the fragrance is light and airy like BR540 but I don't go anosmic to it. As I move throughout the day I catch whiffs of it and it makes me happy. It is an addicting scent for sure. They have other gorgeous scents but this is the one that captivated me the most as I am a vanilla lover. As much as I love this, I don't think its blind buy safe. I recommend get a sample of this. I also think it's a little overpriced for how much you get. It's 75ml for 230 EUR. (Not sure how much they will charge for buying from US.) I did get my VAT back so it came out to around 200 EUR. I will layer this with Babycat, Ani, SDV, and Absolute Aphrodisiac to see how it layers with my other vanillas. I think it can be worn year round because of how weightless it is. Update 03/23/25 I decided to revisit this last week and have been wearing it non stop. It has aged beautifully after a year. It is more balmy, resinous and sweet. Even more vanilla orchid coming through now. I know the smell of the orchid+ vanilla pod well as I grew up around it. I no longer get the soapy vibe I got when I first purchased it. It's still not as good as SDV but it's up there in my vanillas.

This was not a love-at-first-sniff for me... In fact, when I first smelled it, I highly disliked it- immediately removing it from my fragrantica wishlist. I grew up on the sugary vanillas, so it was hard to shake that as my idea of what a vanilla should be. To be fair to Encore Une Fois, I came into smelling it thinking it would be another sweet vanilla, and when I smelled it for the first time I was let down because I set myself up to be let down. After thinking for months and months that I could not stand it, I kept my eyes on the reviews and kept noticing there was an amazing response from people on here and others I followed, so I decided to give it another chance. Since this is not super easily accessible where I live, I did what any logical person would do and ‘blind’ bought a fragrance that I was convinced I hated. I know... perfectly rational. But to my (and my wallets) great relief, when it arrived I was blown away that I thought I hadn’t liked it all that time. This vanilla brings such comfort, it’s like a cloud of soft elegance. It’s the quiet, soft-spoken girl who sits in the back of the library reading every classic novel she can get her hands on. The girl who is naturally warm and inviting, she doesn’t care to be considered “cool” by others, she’d much rather be considered warm, which in turn makes her the coolest in the room.

One of the best vanilla scents, a sophisticated one, just very beautiful. Such a shame, that it is so weak. One morning I spilled the whole sample on my neck and blouse (1,5ml-2ml) and could smell it maybe one or two hours barely. Very sad 🙄 I wanted to buy a bottle, but cant justify the price because it is so weak. I have heard that these french people make intentionally their fragrances weak.. i wonder why? 🤔 Edit. Couldn ́t get this scent out of my head, so I ordered it anyway.. Edit 10/18/24 (two months after receiving a FB). At first I was frustrated, of course the new bottle was weak, but today I can say that it has definately improved. Projection is there, other people can smell it, if they are about half meter close. Also longevity - I sprayed it on wool sweater last night at 11.pm., went to sleep and today morning at 9.pm, when I put on that same sweater, I could still smell it - what a surprise! 😇 I really hope that it gets even more stronger, because these days I hardly wear anything else anymore. Still soft and airy, a daytime fragrance, but a sophisticated non-gourmand vanilla. For me, it is nothing like Bouquet Ideale, but very close to SDV

I was not expecting to fall for this. I'm normally too accustomed to smelling vanillas from more commercialized fragrances like YSL Libre, but the vanilla here is so much smoother. I believe this is the first vanilla I've met with that I personally really enjoy... it actually caused me to purchase samples of Babycat and Bianco Latte so I can test out more loved vanillas. Encore Une Fois is a soft candied vanilla, yet still remaining light and airy. The name is perfect for this as well... I have a 10ml sample of this but I don't think I can bring myself to ever finish it so that I can keep going back to smelling it. I don't particularly favor gourmands (not that I'm saying that this is a gourmand), but this is purely addictive. Out of the others that I have tested, this is the one that sets apart from the rest of the other fragrances existing in my collection. Beautiful :) The vanilla orchids in this bloom on skin overtime and create a fairy-like ambience, almost like fairy dust. This was such a stand-out experience for me and I'm glad that whenever I catch a smell of it in the air, I am still taken back to when I first smelled it.

A gauzy and ethereal masterpiece vanilla! I never considered myself a vanilla lover, but this changed my mind. Encore Une Fois is light, airy and slightly sweet. And still, somehow, it’s also ambery and balsamic at the same time. It smells pure, but interesting; a sweet vanilla that is joyful but not juvenile. I enjoy quite a few of Fabrice Pellegrin’s fragrances. Many of them don’t have a complicated note breakdown, but they are perfectly balanced, elegant and sophisticated. It’s the same here: a chic French version of vanilla. Somehow this smells like eating cake in the gardens at Versailles. On me this lasts and projects. It doesn’t necessarily radiate off my skin, instead it floats around me in wisps and clouds. I can’t smell it on myself when I’m still, but once I move around I can smell it strongly. The slight floral nuances make it suitable in spring, as well as fall and winter. I can understand the comparison to SDV, but I don’t think they’re the same. I much prefer Encore Une Fois since it doesn’t have the sour incense like SDV.

I have already reviewed this bad boy but lately I have just been obsessed with it. I recently picked up the parfum and have been layering the two, and together they make the most beautiful soft fluffy vanilla. It kind of wraps around you like a cloud. So gorgeous. Wearing it so much with the parfum has made me fall in love with it all over again. It is light and airy with a hint of sweetness, but nothing like the super gourmand vanillas that are everywhere right now. It feels sophisticated, elegant, and really distinctive. I am not usually into powdery scents, but this has a touch of powderiness that I actually love. It reminds me of a light dusting of vanilla sugar on a crepe. I love it, love it, love it. The only downside is I wish it lasted a bit longer and projected more, but I will still keep buying it again and again.

Jus de Rose and several others youtubers kept talking about how amazing Encore Une Fois is and that it the best/most favourite vanilla dominant perfume ever created. I don’t know if it’s true, but I can definitely see the hype behind Encore Une Fois! Smells absolutely mesmerising and delicious, that I can tell from the first minute I have put it on. It’s a sweet, powdery, balsamic, ambery, floral vanilla perfume that it’s doing magic on my skin. It’s an instant love and a potential future buy, depending upon the longevity and overall performance. But just scent wise it smells divine. Alluring and addictive! If you’re a vanilla person, I recommend getting your nose on Encore Une Fois. Is as good as they say on social media!

Simple composition executed to perfection. Working my way through a sample and trying to make it last because 230€ for 75mL of juice is....painful.* An airy, slightly powdery blend of the vanillas mentioned, I read it as no more than lightly sweet (certainly not a high-calorie, syrupy gourmand) with impressive tenacity, for such a pillowy scent profile. One small spray on each side of my neck lasted all day, but of course, your mileage may vary. Dreamy + addictive. Me likey. 22/12/24 Edit: I caved and bought a full bottle. It’s just that good. * I hadn’t noticed until I obtained a full bottle but these compositions are *parfum* concentration, which makes the cost a bit more bearable.

For me, Encore une fois is the biggest revelation on vanilla since Ani. It also has some florals, but not much to bother me, as I find gourmand florals obnoxious. It's spicy just enough not to be heavy like the inside of a vanilla pod, I can see myself wearing it even in the summer. Like all the others perfumes I smelled from this house it has this light airy feel to it. Edit: Although it's a beautiful vanilla, after 15 min I have to put my nose into the clothes to smell it. Poor performance for that kind of money, I wished I wouldn't buy into that kind of marketing business like Aura moleculaire. A real shame though, her sister J'ai trois amours lasts a lot better.

I’ve been coveting this scent since I first smelt it months ago. I happen to meet a brand rep who gifted me a 10ml of it! I was so excited! This perfume is so cozy, mildly sweet and smoothly spiced with a play-dough like vanilla blend I could live in all Autumn / Winter. The projection is moderate, but perfect. Sweetness is a 4.5/10 which suites this style. I love it. Anyways, I immediately dropped the vial a few minutes later... now the puddle in the floor being all that remained of my new gift, I rolled my hands in it to save the few drops I could. I’m very heartbroken considering it would be $90+ to replace that vial grey market. 9/10 Gone too soon.

Encore Une Fois Infiniment from Coty Paris is a delightful perfume with a harmonious blend of sweet, powdery, balsamic, ambery, and floral vanilla notes. Unlike Kayali’s Vanilla 28, which tends to become overly sweet and after some time it smells like vanilla extract, this fragrance strikes a balance, keeping the sweetness in check. Surprisingly, it’s not as powdery as expected, making it an appealing choice. It has quickly become a favourite, standing out among other perfumes in my collection. Additionally, it’s reasonably priced, providing great value for its quality.

This is a beautiful non-gourmand, non-syrupy, woody, balsamic, elegant, classy and grown up vanilla fragrance. I was enamored with this scent from the first sniff and had to immediately purchase a full bottle. Longevity is above moderate, around 8 to 10 hours and the scent bubble this perfume creates around its user is just intoxicating. In my opinion this scent does not resemble any of the perfumes mentioned in the "reminds me of" section as this is a unique take on vanilla unlike any other I have smelt.

There is something unbelievably amazing about this perfume. It is a perfume for all seasons and reasons. I know this is personal, but i think this suits every event, every errand, every day and night that I breathe. It just works for life and it's darn flipping good. Fabrice Pelligrin has really created something incredible. It's just the perfect perfume. I have 1 backup bottle but may invest in another. It's incredible and the price is fantastic relative to the competition.

This was a successful blind buy. I'm a gourmand girly who loved (well, still loves) super sweet-and-sticky vanilla perfumes and then moved toward crafted vanillas (think Gourmand Coquin, SDV, Vanille Planifolia, Escapade Gourmand). Moving towards freshies and vanillas with a bit of spice. This perfume addresses all of my loves. It opens with the vanilla and spices, like nutmeg and smooths out with the amber. This isn't a strong perfume, but lovely and elegant.

Encore Une Fois dials back the booziness of Spiriteuse Double Vanille, leaning into a more resinous, amber-forward vanilla wrapped in a soft cloud of warmth. It’s elegant, creamy, and gently sweet—never cloying. With slightly stronger projection and longer wear than SDV, it’s a beautifully composed scent, ideal for fall and winter. this is quite musky to me! this is the vanilla that gives off intimate and glowy warm. reminiscent of hair oil and freshly washed skin. i love the richness here and it doesn't come off cloying or overly sweet at all (maybe I found a good everyday vanilla for me). the price is a bit...much for what it is but i will definitely be using up my sample!!!!

I purchased a set of 5 travel samples from the Infiniment Coty Paris line of new perfumes. Tried this one first, as I love vanilla and amber fragrances. This one does not disappoint. Heady and intense, but very pleasant. I am curious to see whether it lasts on my skin for the up to 30 hours that has been reported on these perfumes from Coty.

#jusderose was raving about this perfume and as a vanilla girlie, I know I had to try it. This one is an addictive vanilla, not too floral, not to boozy, not to sweet but perfectly balanced. Longevity is amazing even in this heat with moderate projection. Looking forward to wearing this all summer.

This is THE vanilla I’ve been waiting to find. Soft, comforting, slightly sweet and not overpowering, feminine, delicate. I’ve tried the Kayali vanillas and many more, but they tend to turn screechy and overwhelming on my skin, it overpowers all other notes for me personally. This is perfection!

this fragrance is unbelievable it is so addictive tasty and beautiful the combination of the vanilla Peru balsam and vanilla orchid is creating something special for me

Encore Une Fois is a great unisex vanilla. In my opinion, it smells like Kayali’s Vanilla 28 and Guerlain’s SDV.

This is so so so good - vanilla but not gourmand with the orchid and the balsam making it cocooning and cozy.

Powdery and sophisticated version of Orchidée vanille. It's a love for me.

Alrighty, Ill be honest, Im here because of the Josephine from Jusderose as well, even though Im pretty good at staying off hype until I see there is something something but she got to me too. 😅 Its a good woody powdery airy vanilla, but y'all, its not unique, this has been done so many times, I do sort of regret getting it because I already have few fragrance with that exact DNA. It smells so much like Nuit et Confidences Goutal, like 97%, Also yes, its similar to Guerlain Spiritueuse Double Vanille which I prefer so much more because it has more depth and sweeter. Its also similar to Loubihorse Louboutin, as well as Dries Van Noten Sur Ma Peau which I though of the second I smelled Encoure Une Fois. So if you have any of those I listed, this one is just redundant unless you are obsessed with the DNA and must smell it all. 🤣😅 One thing I'll add is that I think the dry down is prettier in Encoure Une Fois than Loubihorse or Sr Ma Peau. It beautiful but has been done before many times. The only reason I see having it if someone does ask what you are wearing you can give them unique name of the perfume they don't know. 😅🤣 or if you want lighter airier version of Guerlain SDV.

Fabrice Pellegrin used patented molecular technology to create this fragrance. It is a sweet, gourmand vanilla that is both airy and balsamic, resinous and unctuous at once. I enjoy the presentation and believe the new collection from Infiniment Coty Paris to be housed in elegant and attractive bottles. I like my vanillas with a bit of edge be that spice or a green touch. This is a straightforward vanilla which undeniably smells great but is not 100% my cup of tea. I like the quality and it has piqued my curiosity to sample more offerings from the house.

So, this is SDV, but in its quiet and more refined form. It is hard to believe that there is a better take on a Guerlain fragrance, but this scent is somehow "better". It is very elegant for such a predominantly vanilla fragrance and doesn't have the booziness that SDV has which makes that scent more festive. This one you can wear as a signature scent. It is a little expensive, but otherwise a scent I would love to have in my collection.

A very pretty, interesting vanilla that immediately reminded me of my cool weather signature, Bouquet Ideale. BI is more musk dominant, while Encore Une Fois is boozier. EEF is soft, complex enough, long lasting, and lovely, but it lacks the smoothness and character of my beloved Xerjoff. I really recommend sampling because my skin really projected a smoky tabacco-like note, while it smelled more powdery and vanillic on my mom.

Of all the vanilla fragrances in my collection, my ranking is as follows: 1) Jimmy Choo Vanilla Love 2) Guerlain SDV (the new bottle) 3) The Harmonist Hypnotizing Fire Parfum 4) Coty Paris Encore Une Fois 5) YSL Babycat There's something in the base that kind of bothers me. Maybe a bit too woody on my skin. Nothing holds a candle to my Vanilla Love.

A nice airy vanilla with a slight amber touch. Very pleasant to wear with intimate performance. Nothing to rave about especially for the asking price. Personally, I think this is unisex. If your a guy that enjoys wearing vanilla fragrances then you might like this.

Very beautiful and a bit addicting. If you mix Guerlain Spiritueuse Double Vanille and Black Tie by Celine. I really love this one.

Very pretty. If you already own Glossier You or Liis Studied, this will be a repeat.

Something about this doesn't suit me. The spice, booze, and smoke I get in this doesn't resonate with my soul, as a lover of fluffy, soft vanillas. I'll have to revisit my sample in a few months to see if my tastes evolve, but for today, it is a pass. 6.5/10.

There is something weird about this I can't put my finger on. Does not smell like SDV to me.

Airy with intimate sillage. A "Hmm scent" imo.. Amazing dry down though.

It's way too much amberwood or similar. Smells so artificial and cheap tmn. Just buy ambrofix, slap it on and call it a day. Every new perfume I come across, designer or niche seems to have this almost as the main component. Saves me lot's of money, atleast that's something.

Whatever beautiful materials used in this were all overshadowed by artificial super amber. Ugh, it’s another scrubber for me. Thank heavens it doesn’t linger

wth? mainly smells of aromachemicals, like a zara fragrance ... where's the vanilla...or even the vanillin?!? I can't believe this is so expensive..

In all honesty, this smells like spices in water with a micro drop of vanilla. This is terrible!😑

I find this to be a sweet, non-gourmand, incense forward vanilla. The vanilla is undoubtedly high quality however, there's a striking camphor-like smell, akin to Carmex lip balm, or old school medicinal salves hiding in the background. Several reviewers mentioned that this reminded them of their childhood. Research shows that camphor olfactive notes evoke feelings of being cared for as camphor smells are used in many medicinal remedies, so that could explain why this brings out those feel-good-feelings. I previously thought this sat too close to the skin, but I got an audible "mmmmmmm you smell so good" while wearing this out and about running errands. As I find with many French perfumes, the sillage comes and goes, and chooses when it wants to be seen.

The projection in this is actually decent. 2 sprays on my arm and I can smell it on myself as I'm walking outside. Not an overtly sweet or gourmand vanilla but very pretty and slightly woody. Edit: This reminds me almost exactly of Whispers in the Library by Maison Margiela, but a little bit less waxy. Also a similar smell to Diptyque L'eau Papier, so if you have those the purchase of this for £195 might not be necessary. Update: I started craving this juice after finishing my 2 ml sample, so I bought myself a full bottle for my birthday with a discount code from Liberty London. It is a great vanilla to have.

Encore Une Fois is beautiful! If you already own SDV you may not need it...but a well-done version of the SDV scent from Coty, indeed! Alexandria perfumes also makes a clone of SDV called Vanilla Doree, and this is very similar to Encore Une Fois as well (I would say that SDV & Encore smell better blended than the latter). Overall, this new perfume from Coty's Premium brand a nice, soft, rich vanilla perfume (could be unisex, actually) that isn't overbearing at all, and perhaps a little lighter and more approachable than SDV. Longevity is decent and throw is perfect. I am happy I came across this one!!

I'm so interested reading through the reviews, because some people are smelling things I don't get at ALL in this fragrance. What I do get, and enjoy, is vanilla. Not a sugary gourmand vanilla, and not vanilla extract (it lacks the alcoholic note), but more like smelling a jar of vanilla beans. I greatly prefer this fragrance to other vanillas I have tried (for instance, Guerlain's SDV is perfumey and stuffy to me). This one, while rich, is neither heavy nor cloying, and wears fairly lightly. I'm still not sure if I'm a vanilla girl, but this is my favorite iteration of it that I've sampled.

I absolutely adore those perfume. This is a softly radiant, romantic fragrance that feels like a memory wrapped in velvet — delicate, powdery florals bloom over a creamy, musky warmth that lingers close to the skin. It opens with airy elegance, unfolds into tender, satin-like florals, and dries down into a smooth, intimate trail that is both nostalgic and timeless. Longevity is 6-8 hrs on my skin. Refined rather than sweet, feminine without being fragile, it whispers instead of shouts — leaving behind an impression that feels infinite, graceful, and quietly captivating.

It is too skinny. It is a beautiful vanilla but I desire more from this scent. It is minimalistic and the drydown gives me something slightly woody and slighty plastic, but I can't smell the vanilla in the drydown... It is a frustrating scent. I wish it were more intense, more vanillic, more loud.... It is ok but it could have been so much more! In a sea of cloying, artificial vanilla scents this is a little gem....little....petite... but still a gem. Can they make an "Intense" version of this...please???

Encore une fois: This is an incredible, long-lasting dark vanilla that's neither heavy nor cloying. It evokes natural vanilla pod with a touch of sweetness and smoky warmth, offering a refined, comforting, and beautifully balanced experience. It's a linear fragrance with a rich amber-vanilla base and subtle woody aromatics. Despite its depth, it wears lightly, and the projection is excellent. The only drawback is the high price point, though it does deliver a luxury experience.

Oh, this is good. The dry down is when it especially comes to life. Boozy vanilla with a hint of tobacco leaf(??) and amber. It's dry and delicious. That vanilla orchid note gives it just enough of a creamy floral touch and smells like a cross between tuberose and gardenia. The overall sillage is nice and soft but still noticeable—exactly how I like 'em. It reminds me of a lighter Rouge Saray (less sticky and sweet). A bit too pricey for me, but lovely all around.

I really wanted to like this fragrance and full disclosure, I only wore it once with a sample I bought. I won’t be trying out again though as it straight up smells like play doh on my skin. I can see what everyone is talking about as this beautiful elegant notes are present but to my nose they are all standing one step behind the play dohey smell. I can smell the imponent vanilla that smells more mature and complex than say, the vanilla in indult tihota.

This is truly magnificent, you can smell the high quality. Funny enough, it doesn't seem to last long enough to justify the price, although made with the patented technology etc AND having a composition that is usually associated with long lasting perfumes. I barely can't feel it anymore and there's around one hour that I sprayed on my skin.

I like this a lot! This is a lighter wearing Guerlain SDV (which is my fave of all time). Beautiful, natural vanilla pod, with a touch of sweetness and tinge of smoky. Elevated, refined, comforting. Will I purchase a full bottle - probably not, I have a 3.3 oz of SDV. But, perhaps a travel size would do! It is a lovely fragrance.
