Les Mots Doux

First review, why does this feel more nerve wracking than it should be? Haha. Anyway, Les Mots Doux starts out as a realistic blast of white florals. Strong? Yes, but not in an indolic white-floral type of way. It just feels like I'm smelling a straight up rose-infused jasmine, or I could be getting a strong breeze of it from walking past an aisle of these flowers. I'm pretty surprised of it's performance. Initially, I had used 6 sprays of it the first time I tested this, thought I think it was a little too much. But even one spray on my forearm is quiet strong, I can smell it while typing (not having to hold it up to my nose). It dries down a tiny bit powdery, heavenly and angelic. For someone who is well acquainted with jasmine, this might not be something new to them I assume. Although, its potency might be a shock... it doesn't head towards the overly green direction as it dries down. And the scent trail is absolutely celestial. When worn in the sun light, the flower's petals are in full display.. sort of like if I were to pick a white jasmine flower with zero imperfections. I feel like an angel would naturally emanate this scent, or at least if you were to put your nose up to an angel's wings, I would imagine that it'd smell just like this. :) <3

I feel like I have I have hit the lottery stumbling upon Les Mots Deux! I am a HUGE fan of jasmine however lets be honest, jasmine is not often executed well in perfumery. To have found a true photorealistic jasmine perfume that is: 1) not loaded with overbearing musk notes 2) competing with other heady white florals or 3) overshadowed by high pitched synthetic notes -- truly feels like striking gold. The jasmine here is the star of the show; it is not too indolic, anamalic nor screechy. The Jasmine is just right- as another reviewer mentioned, zero imperfections. I am not getting much rose, but I am getting another soft white floral in the background that is reminiscent of gardenia. Les Mots Deux also smells so natural, more like a silky hand distilled North African jasmine oil vs. a traditional perfume. In fact, the only other time I have smelled jasmine this good was while touring the Marrakech Medina. It haunts me that I did not buy more of those handmade rose and jasmine oils, but Les Mots Deux sweeps that feeling right away.

This is truly heavenly... I am in Australia at the turn of the season winter into spring and it is exactly what you crave after a long winter... It is everything you would want in a natural floral... it smells fresh, a little heady but weightlessly light... with a stunning gentle trail. Just gorgeous!

Doesn’t smell exactly like gardenia Gucci but definitely same family but I prefer this one way better that gardenia Gucci.

Most gorgeous jasmine I have ever encountered. I mean, just stop looking. Nothing else comes close.

Screaming/screeching synthetic smelling linear jasmine scent, had extremely high hopes, but this smells cheap.

Yum. I was going to pull the trigger on a bottle of Narcotic V until I came across this. Also, (by the way) Charles Farris does an excellent candle called Garden of Eden that I have been longing to find a wearable equivalent perfume for-- I think this is it! A very obvious and very nice white floral. And not the worst price in the world, all things considered.... but maybe I am just completely brainwashed.

Very pretty white floral with an amazing trail. Very similar to Nasomatto’s Narcotic V.
