Addictive Vibration

At first it's such a delicious, sweet apple blossom and slightly woody, wee bit earthy honey. Not the dirty or syrup honey but to me surprisingly bright honey - I'm guessing it's the flowers brightening things up. I was afraid the apple blossom would be too much of a room freshener/fabric softener, but I think the honey and musk is somehow perfecting it. Smelled from further away and specially bit later, yes, I too am reminded of Alien, but I find this to still VERY MUCH have its own thing, to be more beatiful and more natural smelling. Just a slight reminder of Alien. If I'd further compare it to Alien, I think if one would be round 20 and wear Alien for a clubbing night, someone bit older could wear Addictive Vibration in a little black dress for example, to a just slightly fancier event. Obviously, wear any fragrance at any age, just an image trying to compare :) I feel like this will work year round. The apple blossom makes it quite summery, but AV is somewhat powerful and warm enough for fall and winter. Actually, this could work in so many settings, day and night :) Concerns for summer it could get cloying, and say to a upscale dinner party could not be classy enough, and the apple blossom I can not decide yet if it could feel a little juvenile. Probably not though, feel like the quite sensual honey+musk and the orange blossom are the heroes regarding this! Groundbreaking, I would not exactly say so, quite simple but interesting to me, quite genious actually when I'm thinking its simplicity. I don't get along with many designers cause they're always so stingy and synthetic smelling - AV is pleasantly more natural smelling. Could see myself buying a bottle for a better price after I'm done with my decant. Not the least for it's versatility :) Smelling my wrist so much my nose is starting to hurt. EDIT: I bought a full bottle and I absolutely love the scent so much. What I'm not completely happy with is the longevity and projection. Sure, I won't bother anyone but I could've just sprayed less. But in no way a skin scent! It's cold weather where I live, I'm still hoping it will perform better in spring.

I really like this beautiful floral, but it doesn’t last long and I agree with the comment below me, I don’t like the cheap garbage musk Initio uses. As much as they charge for these perfumes, we should be getting Mysore sandalwood or another very nice sandalwood. Initio has a few great perfumes under their belt, Side Effect, Rehab, Absolute Aphrodisiac and this one, but most of the others are overpriced crap. They’re boring, harsh, and very heavy on synthetics . I doubt there are any florals in here, I know Atomic rose has no roses, just accords. A great perfumer knows how to balance the naturals and synthesis and blend them beautifully. Initio apparently is too greedy and too cheap to actually hire great perfumers..And it’s obvious, at least to those of us who know and can easily smell the difference. Initios perfumes are not worth with more than $75. Under $100 for sure. They’re getting over big time. Just like that hack ATH is with his crap he calls perfume. Why do so many ppl get taken in by these phonies! Coz ppl have more money than brains. That said, I won’t be repurchasing this one. The only two Initio I will keep in my collection are Side Effect and Rehab, and I am definitely not paying anything over $100 for my bottles. As nice as these two are, still not worth the exuberant price that Initio charges. Never pay retail for any perfume. The rare few that are worth the asking price are Areej Le Dore, Papillon, Prin, Francesca Bianchi... I can’t think of any more right now. Always check the ingredients. Even so, 99% of these so called Niche brands dont use real rose, musks and they use cheap sandalwood. Initio is not niche, it’s more designer than Niche. They portray themselves as Niche to justify the exuberant price but the ingredients scream designer.

OPENING: Floral and sweet, with an incredible dark purplish scent that grabs your attention right away. There's a really nice honeysuckle note that gives it a bright, almost uplifting vibe. It’s like a more vibrant version of Paragon, but with a distinct floral edge. Its like if Paragon was the cloudy rainy day and this is the clouds parting and rainbow forming. The floral notes here feel rich, yet refreshing, offering a balance of softness and a bold, confident scent that stands out without being overbearing. The initial opening feels feminine, but not in the typical way; there's something about the depth and richness of the fragrance that hints at strength, and that contrast gives it an edge that’s bold enough to appeal to masculine sensibilities. DRYDOWN: As it settles, the fragrance becomes much more linear, focusing on the florals and honey notes. The peppery sharpness that was similar to Paragon fades, and the scent becomes a smoother, mellower honeysuckle with a subtle sweetness. As it leans more feminine, it still holds on to that underlying confidence, with a softness that’s counterbalanced by the strength of the honey and florals. It’s not overpowering, but it's certainly noticeable. The performance is impressive, especially on warm skin. It lasts for 6+ hours, staying noticeable on your skin for 9+ hours at the gym, and lingers as a skin scent for 12-14 hours. It’s the kind of fragrance that keeps coming back, even when you think it’s faded, a slight increase in body temperature will bring it back to life.

At first I was skeptical because 1) I don't like the bottle, 2) the first Initio the salesman gave me to smell was an awful, stuffy banana vanilla. But oh my lords. What a gorgeous scent. Addictive Vibration opens up with a sweet, airy, beautiful blend of apple and orange blossoms, a bit fruity but not juicy – think of a whiff down a road covered in their trees during the spring equinox. They're sprinkled, not covered, with a gooey golden honey, and slowly the honey drips down to greet you. Sweeter, sweeter, and it keeps getting sweeter yet more animalic than it is articially sugary. The florals intensifies and ripens, making way into a creamy, woodier orchid. The orchids are not all mature; some are still green, budding, a fresh variant to accompany the colorful blossoms. They become tea-like from the woodiness. And the honey is immortal, unrotting, as it develops a lovely white musk floating above the floral arrangements. (Perhaps the creamy, slightly musky green-white floral is what's reminiscent of Mugler's Alien, although to me the difference between its jasmine and Vibration's blossoms are as clear as day.) I can see myself wearing this all summer and spring, sometimes switching with Des Merveilles. Both are so airy and charming, beautiful in a soft, gentle breeze sense. The sillage is amazing, longevity is almost eternal, and already got me a compliment just from the spray test. Perhaps come spring I will get a full bottle.
