Sugar Blast

You know what makes me mad the most? Not cause people are calling this and Wild Rush a dupe. But literally just some months ago they released Lift me Up which is just incredible and CGE which is also really damn nice. Now they release these two bs which massively follow trends and they just don't smell like Initio at all. These are both cash grabs. It's like they needed some quick cash and had to release two extremely safe and mass appealing scents. And they knew they couldn't put them into any of their existing collections so what did they do? They created a new word salad (supercharged, joydrop bs). Don't get me wrong they're really good fragrances, but cmon, they followed exactly what PdM did with the three extracts. You can't be that stupid to repeat mistakes.

This is lovely. It is not a beast so its not your pick for those days you want the scent to announce you! But make no mistake this is a personal, close up joy of a fragrance! Sweet, but not overpowering- a cuddle magnet!! The lasting power seems good - I cannot stop smelling my arm! It makes me feel at peace. I will enjoy this in colder weather and is firmly on the FB wishlist for autumn. Initio are rapidly becoming my favourite perfume house.

I am entirely addicted to this fragrance. I would definitely classify this as a grown-up gourmond although honestly it does not remind me of food. It’s so clean and it’s that type of powdery that works for people who don’t even like powder, such as myself. It’s powdery with some tartness and I honestly can’t see how anybody would dislike it.

Sütlü, şekerli, pudramsı bir vanilya kokusu. Muazzam ötesi bir koku ve bence erkek kullanımına da uygun bir parfüm. Eilish'e çok benziyor ama ondan çok daha önde. İlk kokladığımda hayal kırıklığına uğrayacağımı düşündüm ama 10-15 sn sonra yine kokladığımda aklım yerinden çıktı. Initio bu son serisinde gerçekten pişirmiş.

Love it BUT it’s like a softer/strawberry-free yum bougie marshmallow. Don’t get me wrong, I way prefer this one, but there are overlapping elements that make it hard to justify the price

Ugh. It’s elegantly beautiful. Divine. Addicting. And I really wish it wasn’t. It is NOT worth the price tag but I fear for myself and my lack of self control.

It's quite addictive but sits close to the skin. Addictive enough where i am ordering a bottle when it's available. All the notes together smell dry sweet. You do get the rum. I don't own any fragrances with boozy notes as it is not my thing but this will be the exception! It has the coconut and vanilla vibe from vanilla powder but much more tame. Refined and little hazy but very delicious at the same time. Makes me think of pink purple and blue cotton candy with the explosion of sophistication.

Honestly, this is one of those rare cases where I can’t really pick out individual notes, the fragrance feels very cohesive. Of course, if you look at the note pyramid, you can kind of force yourself to find everything listed, but on the nose it doesn’t break down that way. To me, it’s a soft, slightly sweet gourmand with a subtle hint of rum and a gentle touch of lavender bitterness. It smells quite airy, without being overly sweet, with a faint woody nuance lingering in the background.

Sugar Blast is a simple fragrance but I feel it's an alluring scent profile. It's a linear fragrance and im not quite sure i agree with the feminine leaning sentiment towards this fragrance on Fragrantica but I think this would smell good on my wife. If you like boozy, praline, and vanilla gourmands then this is for you... regardless of gender.

This disappears on me fast. I think it will be one frag you need to layer with so it’s a bit expensive knowing I’ll need to layer and overspray. Will be a great bedtime scent. I did pick up a bottle, but not at the retail price. Much lower.

Dry down reminds me of Casamorati Lira.

This smells like the sweetest sweets ever. Sugar blast is an accurate name. It also smells cheap, juvenile and synthetic and is not worth Initio prices nor worthy of the Initio name. Nonetheless I don't hate it, it is absolutely not for me but I would not mind smelling this on a woman. This is not a man's fragrance though. Well obviously you can wear whatever you like but if you want something that does not smell like a young girl then this is not it. This smells like a blonde teenage girl in a pink dress. It smells like cheap body mists and canned Impulse sprays. Not terrible but nothing special. If you told me this was a £2 fragrance from Poundland or Primark I would immediately believe you

This is Initio's late entry into the lactonic, powdery vanilla, fragrance game that is already oversaturated. We've smelled this fragrance combination over and over again and frankly, I'm bored with it. It is a lovely fragrance, but I already have Vanilla Powder Extrait and Cream Velvet. This is just a softer take on those notes.

Love the smell profile. I don’t have a specific season or time to wear it. I would wear it all the time. Projection is really good. My thing is it doesn’t last long. I get four maybe five hours tops on skin and I’m looking for something that last longer. But beautiful smell.

This is not it. Smells ok, but nothing special or that different from Narcotic Delight. If I had a shortlist of this and something else, I'd get something else. I have OFG, Side Effect, Musk Therapy and Rehab. I think that's all I'll ever need from this house.

Smells like vanilla powder mixed with sunscreen, overpriced like every Initio but could understand that some would splurge. Meh...

I was able to get my hands on samples of Sugar Blast and Wild Rush. Both are really great and have me contemplating a purchase. What I enjoyed the most is the creamy, sugary opening of Sugar Blast. Soon after spraying Sugar Blast, it loses me and turns screechy. I’m left searching for those sweet and creamy notes that are short lived in the very beginning. Today I was at a cosmetic store and remember a fragrance reviewer saying that Sugar Blast smells like Billy Eilish, so I obliged. Billy Eilish IS Sugar Blasts opening through and through. If I’m being honest, I would have NEVER have thought to smell a Billy Eilish fragrance, let alone purchase one....but here I am, with no regrets. I have both Billy Eilish and Sugar Blast freshly sprayed on a blotter. They are so much a like, so much so that it takes away any uniqueness sugar blast may have offered to me. I do not think sugar blast is worth its hefty price tag. Especially when there is a fragrance so similar and for a fraction of the cost. I do have to say I prefer Eilish over Sugar Blast tremendously bc it lacks the screechy dry down I get with Sugar Blast. These are just my personal opinions and hope that if someone out there like me, willing to spend hundreds of dollars, kinda, sorta likes the sugary and creamy nuances of Sugar Blast, but is hesitant to drop $480 please go try Billy Eilish first. I’m sure glad I did!

Sugar Blast is for extremely sweet gourmand lovers only, although, this is less sugary sweet and more creamy-smooth, vanilla cheesecake, silky nutmeg ganache sweet. It’s like an even more luxurious and richer version of Escapade Gourmand. Too sweet for me as it’s everything I hate; booze, praline, vanilla and ambroxan but perfect if you adore Gioiosa and want another iconic gourmand.

Why raise expectations then choose the generic and boring stuff when you could have done something much better? I will pass on this one.

So, I went to the mall to smell some things. Found my self in nordies, my friend pointed to this and said "thats the new scent you mentioned." I didn't even think they had this yet and so I prematurely said no. I did a double take and bit my tounge. This is so good it reminds me of the discontinued Crystalized Sugar. Which is rare to find. I left my tester strip at another counter which I didn't realize until I was 30m away. I almost went back but realized it will be at a store closer to me soon. I'll just get a sample from my sa or dillards one day. Unfortunately, I only smelled the first 10m. From that its a love at first sniff. If it truly dries down to Bianco Latte then nah. We will see. Its definitely a burnt sugar type, for some reason thats the name I wrote don't ask me why... Tried this again and got a sample from my sa today. They had one bottle left but I needed to sample. Plus I don't pay retail unless I completely have to. So, second opinion... this smells like something my mom wore. 90s type of vanilla. I don't know what it would be and she doesn't remember sadly. I still find it beautiful, definitely sweet gourmand! So, this at first spray like 5 mins it smells of Secret Vanilla spray from the 2000s. In the best way. That was, and from memory is one of my favorite vanilla scents. Yes, it was $5.. so what? It was a crazy beautiful scent. This one dries down so weird. Like hours later... idk if its the coconut or lavender or what. I get what it meant by Vanilla Powder the weird coconut smell and candy type. I'm giving it another go today. Its so beautiful until it isn't, wish me luck! Definitely do not overspray this one! That may be where I went wrong. A super elevated Pink Sugar. Not that they are dupes.. just sugar sweet and beautiful. This is a vanilla take on the Pink Sugar type. Which I know is really the Acqua e Zucchero type. Further update: Sprayed 2 sprays, yet I'm still getting this weird harshness. It has to be either the cashmere, coconut, or lavender, or the combo. Its very chemically. Like popping rocks candy melted down into a absolute. I wish the opening was the whole scent. I understand the evolution of scent but in this case I wish it were linear.

VANILLA POWDER, VANILLA CAVIAR BDK AND YUM BOUGIE MARSHMALLOW GOT DRUNK AND HAD A THREESOME AND CANT GET ENOUGH FILMED IT.... I was a little bit worried about the performance at first. It’s definitely more of a skin scent on skin, but it is there, but it does hug fabric. I will say to be in a category with such powerhouse beast mode, fragrances... It definitely doesn’t have the performance and projection as something like vanilla powder or vanilla caviar but it’s still good. If you like that DNA and have been sampling it and have not purchased yet you might like this version better as it might lean a bit more feminine, a little bit sweeter version of those that’s where the yum bougie marshmallow comes in... and then there’s maybe a caramel or brown colored note like Rumb or something that might be and can’t get enough that might be in here.... That being sad if you have money and you’re a niche collector, you might wanna get it... But there are a lot of other options for his fragrance that aren’t $420... I think it’s cool if you wait till it’s the Grey market and you’re an INITIO collector.... But if you are a real connoisseur like me, you already have all those pregnancies already and probably some dupes. I don’t know if it’s necessary for somebody like us to purchase it.

The person lower down saying people are pretending to have smelled this is wrong. They might be but this was available as samples ages before it was put on here. I got it a while ago and it is very, very similar to Nebras and Eilish no1. At least in the opening. The dry down is more sugary though and I don't get the chocolate as much. I can really smell the ambroxen in there too. It's lovely but I don't think it's worth paying the massive price for something that people will just assume is Eilish. It's maybe ever so slightly more unisex than the other two but I would say this will be too feminine for the majority of men. It's sugary, bit powdery, pretty much what the name suggests tbh. You do get a big blast of sugar that tickles your nose in the same way Vanilla 28 does (they don't smell alike though) I disagree with whoever suggested Eclaire on the smells like section, it's absolutely nothing like it. I haven't tried the other new one from Initio. I didn't even realise there was two new ones until just now, this was the only one I'd heard of.

So, after multiple wearings I found that SB dried down to a basic vanilla. Your Delizia di or Angel Bread type. Its so beautiful in the opening and nostalgic. I'm tempted to get a bottle for the opening but I would kick myself in the dry down. Maybe a 9ml from SS will do?..... its either a fb of this or Insuline Safrine. Which I was going to buy right before I tried this. They both are sooo nostalgic of those old vanilla scents. Back when bbw made good stuff. Again this reminds me of the Secret vanilla deodorant spray. & give this a few weeks to sit as well! It just came out to stores so it was a long trip of shaking and temps changing. This is not a skin scent. Please don't listen to them and then overspray this. Unless you're gonna be in a bubble inside the house. Same as cigarette smoke. Do that in the car with the windows rolled up. No 2nd hand smoke/scent exposure thats more deadly than firsthand. SAY HEL! NO TO OVERSPRAYING THIS SCENT!

Oh so beautiful ! Delicious, seductive, feminine and elegant. Its softer then Billie Eilish , less ambery. It's def similar dna but this is high end and less loud in a way. I own both and trust me they are different. Gorgeous strong sugar, vanilla, thankfully shy ambroxan, and beautiful warm rum. The lavander acidity is perfect as its just the hint you need to break the sugar and its not disturbing at all ( I don't love lavander at all but here its perfect). The first initio I feel truly called to. Leathery and definitely unisex, although the sweetness can suggest feminine only, im pretty sure it smells magnetic and aphrodisiac on a man. Love !

Yeah, dries down into a boring marshmallow vanilla chemical. Think Delizia, Angels Bread, Marshmallow Muff... Just gonna stick with Insuline Safrine which is similar to the opening of this but with a crunchy almond paste. Not almond extract but almost like cyanide or a super raw fresh almond milk and cherry pit drink. Then it morphs into a straight up bag of almonds you get in business class. Sample this a few times before buying. I do like Wild Rush better even then I would go with Pinewards Gluhwein for that overdose of beautiful cranberry.

I sprayed this on some fabric because I suspected it might suck. Which it did. This perfume is not opinionated at all. It’s just niiiiiiice. It did smell sugary, and that’s abt it. I haven’t tried the other 2026 Initio release (which I don’t have high hopes for either), but this one is totally lame. Initio have been really calling it in the last few yrs. I did dig power self but - again - it wasn’t opinionated at all and most ppl thought it was vapid. Well, sugar blast is DEFINITELY vapid. I love Initio but come on guys, a little effort?

I’m soooooo sick of a lot of reviewers because it’s two things that be happening here & that’s either you guys/gals just be posting a review without having & or trying “said” fragrance or you guys/gals be giving negative reviews on fragrances because y’all are attempting to gate keep the fragrance because I’ve seen a trusted influencer that says that this fragrance smells great along with my daughter whom works at a notable US department store.

Don’t bother, I got a sample of this and it’s rubbish. Basically just another uninspired sweet vanilla with zero personality. You’d be crazy to pay over £200 for this, I guarantee you’ve smelled this a hundred times before, not even anywhere close to being in the same league as side effect, ofg or rehab. Also the bottle is so cheap looking with that windows style font and sticky label

I am not usually a super sweet vanilla lover but wow oh wow. This was love at first sniff. It hadn’t been released for us yet but my SA had a bottle at Neimans and I was blown away. I immediately pre-ordered a bottle. I definitely smell marshmallow so I’m not sure how it’s not listed as one of the notes. This is a better blended and longer lasting Kayali Yum Boujee Marshmallow.

It immediately reminded me of the dark vanilla from Babycat but sweeter and charred marshmallows from By The Firplace. But the drydown smelled like a sweet boozy amber candy. Try Paris Corner Rifaaqat, it’s super cheap but doesn’t smell cheap at all, I even think Riffaqat is nicer than Sugar Blast because it has a suede leather accord like Babycat.

Initio Re bottled “ Billie Eilish “ and changed the name to Sugar Blast, Sugar Blast is the exact same fragrance at hundreds of dollars more. Geez Initio, come up with ideas on your own or just call Sugar Blast what it is a “ Billie Eilish Clone”

Spitting image of Billie Eilish on the opening and dries down like can’t get enough without the rose. Unfortunately not worth the purchase as I don’t need it in my collection, and I enjoy Wild Rush a bit more.

I just sprayed sugar blast on one arm and Billy eilish on the other at first sugar blast has a note that is slightly differnt a little spicey but the dry down is exactly the same. It’s a one for one

This smells copy paste like Billie eilish and Nebras. It’s literally identical! Doesn’t mean it’s a bad perfume, it does smell good but save your coins for something original

I wish I could smell this, but I'm totally asomatic to it. I can smell a bit of "perfume" smell very faintly, but couldn't tell you what it was.

To my nose this reminds me of a bit more gourmondy take of never-ending the house of oud thry both have this weird sweet smell spiced herbalness

What were they thinking? For this price, if they were going gourmand, they should have done something UNIQUE!!! Save your money!
